so this lecture comes from 1963 as well and it's called the Holy One and I want to emphasize that the stories in these scriptures or when you hear words like Egypt or Caesar you do not think of a place or a person but it really is a real place and a real person but it's also an idea so for example Neville gives the the um story where he was sent to the Army and he didn't want to go but he was drafted and they told him that you know I think at the time he was
making a few thousand a month and then he was told he was going to go down to about $50 a week he goes they were going to give me clothes they're going to give me food he's like well I had all those things and yet I'm getting less now and I'm taken away from my family and no matter how many times he tried to plead to leave he was told no now what Neville does is that he takes this idea of the pressures and the times of trouble that he's in and he sees it as
a place of Egypt and so no matter how many times he pleads with pharaoh to release him to set him free he is told no and as we're told that the pharaoh's heart is hardened but you can think of pharaoh as well as as Caesar as Caesar's telling him no no matter how many times he wants to he pleads and says I have a family I have kids I need to get out of this place he's told no and he's denied and there's nothing that can soften the heart of this pharaoh of this Caesar on
the outside and so he has to find a way out and the only way he can find is through God now in this case he goes to I am what he is his awareness is that the real God is that is that his savior that's what he's testing in this case and so the scriptures of these stories really become alive to us they become actual realities that we're in when we pray to this God when we make I am be our God we'll find ourselves in Egypt we'll find ourselves having to go to it when
we're in Egypt when we have to leave certain spaces that have provided pressures and troubles and and really Neville when he speaks about the law about using it he always speaks about it in ways of using it to cushion and comfort yourself in this world he always says it can cushion the blows of life and well in this case there's a blow he was drafted he doesn't want to go that's a blow and now he has to cushion himself so you think of this story as these people are in bondage to pharaoh and there's this
Pharaoh that has them trapped and they can't leave and you think that that was just some story in the past and yet it's taking place now it's actually happening right now the moment you are in a spot in this world where you can't leave where you feel like you need to be freed and yet you're not free and you're being told no you are in Egypt I don't care what it is doesn't have to be the Army doesn't have to be somebody high up in government Authority telling you it could be anybody around you anything
that's holding you captive anything that you feel like you need to be free from you're in Egypt now now while you're in Egypt the way out is through God that's the way now the way is or this God's name he tells you his name and it's I am and he says use me so this P it's also a power and Neville said that he didn't after he was told no it's not like he wrote the president now and wrote them a letter to plead with them he he went no I went straight to I am
that's what I went to and he imagined himself in New York back at home where he wanted to be he didn't reason with himself you know it's like it's like when you fall asleep right if you were to fall asleep right now you you would eventually let go you would lose your sense of time you would lose your sense of reason you would lose your sense of doubt you would lose your sense of the senses and you fall asleep into a dream every single night you lose these things well he lost those things when he
imagined himself in New York reason told him that he's not going to be there reason told him he's never going to leave Egypt reason told him that he's in bondage to his to this reason told him that Pharaoh's heart is hardened that he can't leave and he needs his permission per he said forget that I'm not going to I don't need the outside's permission I don't need Pharaoh's permission but imagine myself freed from this spot I'm going to go to God and when I imagine myself in New York I will lose my sense of time
just like I would in a dream I will lose my sense of doubt I will lose the senses I will discard them all I'll discard Egypt and find myself in in the land I want to be in then he goes on to say he says but if you identify yourself with the Garment that you wear and think I am limited and you look at the world just as you see it then you will remain in Egypt the purpose is to completely get out of Egypt until the moment in time comes when you really get out
by a series of Fantastical mystical experiences could ever be conceived so he speaks about Egypt can be a spot where we feel pressures and we're being told no and then there really this whole world this realm that we're in is also a form of Egypt that we eventually will leave as well and this is and we do it by this God but he but back to let's bring it back to this level on this level he he needs to leave Egypt which is the Army in this case which he's identified as the Army he's identified
this Egypt as the Army and that's why we talked about the pull of great price he says you believe in Authority you have to sell it so in this case he's not he's not going to some other authority figure to tell to plead with them to give them whatever he you know he wants which is his yes goes to himself to give him the the okay to leave so but he doesn't really even ask himself for permission he just imagines himself in New York he placed himself exactly where he wanted to be regardless of the
external circumstances and that's exactly what you should do so you obviously you should now be thinking about what is my Egypt I don't I don't have the same Egypt as Neville again this Egypt is not a physical place it's an idea where there's a pharaoh that in the land that has held me captive something outside has held me captive and it's not letting me be free you know who do I turn to at that point do I turn to another person this is the pearl of great price I can't turn to somebody else so I
turn to Within Myself I stop identifying myself with just this garment I stop saying I'm limited and I imagine myself freed doesn't matter what it is it doesn't matter what the shape of your environment is in this case his was the war yours could be something else it's Egypt and you leave through this God he frees you and it's your own awareness your own I am can you believe that so you start to assume your own Freedom you start to feel yourself to be freed regardless of anyone's permission regardless of any Authority's permission you do
that and then you become it and then you will go across a ridge that will lead you to that and he says that after he imagined himself in New York you know he had a he had a few dreams that sort of showed him that he would be freed because he freed himself he said for N9 days he was in the training camp and he said he just felt great because he knew he was going to leave he just knew it was going to work and so that you can take that same approach in your
life that you even though he still is for a few days still there and he has to do all the physical training he knows he's going to leave he still feels that he's going to leave and you'll see people who else are involved with in the same Egypt and you'll see them clasp their hands you'll see them pray to something outside of themselves you see them bow to something external to them and that's what happened in scripture people spoke to God as if it was a thing outside of them in the sky but it's not
and so when you are in times of trouble you're in a situation that you feel has being told no to you don't don't take that no as the the final answer you go to God now and you imagine yourself freed and you have to become what you behold yourself as you have to and if you see yourself as free you will become that and so don't believe be just because some authority figure in your life or some Authority says no you're not allowed therefore that's the final answer you cannot take that as the final answer
you have to go to yourself within and you'll see that you already are freed and you believe in that and when you believe in that and you come out of it don't forget don't forget who got you out of it don't forget who freed you out of Egypt as so many of us do don't forget it you went to yourself you went within yourself and you found yourself freed and then you became it and you replicate that over and over and over again you find yourself in another Egypt another spot that's telling you you're not
allowed to be you be it anyways you don't need anyone's permission again and how do I how do I practically do this well it's like tonight you're going to fall asleep right before you fall asleep you lose your sense of the things that are so precious to you which is your time your senses your reason you lose your sense of these things and then you find yourself in a dream next thing you know you're in a different plane a different realm of existence living life doing the things you would otherwise do here there and you
lost these things while you while you dreamt up a new dream same thing happens here when you imagine yourself freed you don't ask you lose your sense don't worry about when don't worry about how lose yourself in that Freedom become that freedom and I've always given this example if you were to fall asleep tonight and you became conscious inside a dream you realized you were dreaming in the dream and I asked you you heard my voice and I said change this dream right now how would you go about doing it you wouldn't plead with some
authority figure to do it you wouldn't change the people around you you the dreamer would dream something new that's what you would do you would just change yourself you wouldn't wouldn't focus on getting permission from somebody within the dream that'd be ridiculous and the same is true here you find yourself in Egypt you find yourself in in a nightmare you wake up from it you wake up as something you want to be you change it by a waking Awakening within you the state that is otherwise dormant and in this case his freedom needed to be
aroused so he woke it up within him and found himself in New York and then he became that because we bump into our imagined selves in this world and when you see it as this you won't you will see it as you are exchanging what's within you for Egypt for this outside bondage and it gives a more structured and I think clear view of what we're doing here for this is taking place right now this isn't a story that took place in the past it's taking place when you find yourself in bondage in this world
and then you can use God's name to cushion and comfort yourself while you're here and the name is I am and there is no other name you'll never outgrow I am you'll never outgrow this name you will outgrow many gods you go through many many gods while you're here but you will never outgrow this one ever and so you go to it and you believe in it so you imagine yourself freed you believe in this God you believe you are that thing and then that you become it so you appropriate the State of Consciousness that
you want to otherwise produce the result that you you need in your life you need Freedom you become free that's how you do it and he did he ended up leaving Egypt he left his Egypt and he was approved he was disapproved first and then he ended up getting approved after he had after he imagined himself free and had a dream that showed him he will be free and he did and you can take the same story and replicate it in your life it doesn't have to be a draft it doesn't have to be a
war we're all in Wars we're all in some type of battle within our lives yet few actually go to this God and imagine the victory within that God and I'm going to quote him here he says I didn't go berserk in the interval of waiting I waited patiently and I knew it was done he said it didn't matter at all what was going to happen on the outside it did not matter to him made no difference in his mind it was already done it was a done thing and you can take that same approach to
your life so I'm going to end it here on this one I hope this gave you some clarity on this this God that we're using and that we're believing in to get us out of the the pressures and troubles that we could be in that we find ourselves in in this world and again keep a lookout I will be making these daily and thank you for listening
