here is one super easy change that you can make if you feel like your baby is not getting a deep latch at the breast and you feel like you've tried all the things to adjust the latch this is a common issue and not a lot of people know about it and it can make a huge difference so you have your baby in position you make sure everything is looking good their body is in alignment they're facing towards the breast you're using one hand to compress the breast but you're still noticing that it's not a deep
latch or you're still noticing a little bit of pain what I want you to do is try pulling their entire body over about an inch but the head stays in the same position and what that does it helps extend the neck many babies are going to struggle to get that deep latch if their chin is anywhere near their chest so take a peek at what's going on in this area and if there's not a lot of space pull their body over so you create more space between their chin and their neck
