Michelle that's my diary you shouldn't be looking at this don't worry I don't have had read anyways oh right we'll just stay out of my stuff anyway okay okie doke that was close that was full house along Candace Cameron Bure playing one of TV's most beloved siblings DJ Tanner but now she's raising a lot of eyebrows with her new book balancing it all my story of juggling priorities and purpose in it she talks about being a working wife and mother and says the key to her marriage is being submissive and here's a quote from the
book I am NOT a passive person but I chose to fall into a more submissive role in our relationship because I wanted to do everything in my power to make my marriage and family work joining us now Dan is Cameron Bure law I'm great to see you hi thanks for having me let me start here because I think we're in the same place because I am a submissive husband when we go home I mean I know who's in charge when I walk inside that door but I want to give you the chance here to explain
what it means because it seems a lot of people are getting hung up on this one word of submissive how it's some sort of evil thing that you've put out there I know they do I think this word sounds so ugly to so many people when they especially when they don't understand the biblical definition of the word I think they're thinking of it in terms of a perverted 50 say trades of gray kind of definition or an oppression or even a dictatorship and that is not what I'm talking about in the biblical sense submitting to
my husband just means allowing my husband to lead his family because he loves our family and making the best decisions for his family that he can and for me to respect those decisions and encourage him to be the best man and father that he can possibly be to our family you know you posted a photo on Instagram I think this photo proves that you are not submissive let's show that to the folks at home I mean come on he's not going to mess with you I know he's messing with hockey players but he's not going
to mess with you talk about your marriage how long have you been married how many children do you have and how happy are you guys I've been married for 17 years we have three kids they're 15 13 and 11 and we have a very wonderful marriage and that's why I have felt comfortable sharing about it in my book balancing it all I had no idea this was going to stir this much controversy this is again we have a marriage in which we want to honor God both my husband does and I do and and so
I just explaining that but this little little word in there is causing everybody to just you know get into it to the all about it oh yeah and now the world that we live in with Twitter and Facebook and everything else everyone vents those opinions and you get to hear them are you having any sort of conversation back and forth with people who have given their opinions on Twitter on Facebook about the use of the word I've got so much support from my followers of my fans and it's wonderful and a lot of people agree
and they say that the people that are in disagreement and are being very ugly and spewing venom towards me about it just simply don't understand the definition in which I'm using the word and their eyes are not seeking the biblical blue print of marriage so I don't expect them to understand and I do expect that they're going to be upset over it because they're thinking about it in from a different worldview than I am so I'm really staying away from a lot of the ugly comments I don't want to read them and I don't feel
that I need to defend myself over them clearly I'm happily married for 17 years and this has been a wonderful way in which our marriage has worked and we have very happy children and we love one another and we trust one another and and the book-balancing all my stories of juggling priorities and purpose the the the purpose you writing this book because it you know everyone is reacting to your own words that you kind of put out there are there any regrets about doing it and are you glad that everyone is having this this discussion
now I'm glad I mean this is wonderful I think I wrote this book because it's a question that so many of us women are asking how do you balance it all how are you working being a wife being a mom how do you incorporate the things that are important like friends and family and philanthropy and and so that's what I talk about through my life story but listen if you're going to pick the word submission and talk about it a whole lot that just means it's um my book is going to be brought to a
bigger audience and I'm grateful for it someone can take what I've shared and the stories that I've learned throughout my life in order to balance my life the things that have worked and have it haven't worked I hope that they're encouraged and inspired by it how's your brother doing good yes he's great fantastic great to speaker you Candice thank you very much good luck with the book thank you alright
