And so we're going to go through how you can do it with no fancy tech, my 4hour a month workflow, um, and how to get consistent warm leads from YouTube. So let's go ahead. Um, every Time I do this class, again, like I mentioned, I've done this class multiple times. always get such amazing feedback. I promise we're going to get into some really amazing tactical education. Um good 40
to 45 minutes. I have so many slides so I have to go through them as quickly as I can. We're going to go really quickly. So if you have any questions um if you can drop it and there is a tab like a section in the chat called Q&A only. Okay? So if you go To Q&A um drop any questions you have there. I'm going to set aside time at the very end to answer any questions that you have live. So, make sure as we're going through this, if you have any questions, drop them there.
Okay. So, some signs that you are ready for YouTube and that you're in the right place right now. Number one, um you're tired of posting on social media every day. Just have your content disappear after 20 to 4 to 48 hours. Okay? Like Maybe you're kind of on this Instagram hamster wheel. It kind of feels like a roller coaster sometimes and feels like this requirement. I mean, it really is this requirement, right, to post every single day in order to keep traction. And while we still love Instagram, we love it for other reasons. We want
something that's also going to keep things going even when we're not actively posting. Maybe you want a way to expand your reach and just attract a Whole new audience and to get in front of new people who are searching for you right now. And maybe you've already started your business. Maybe you've started to build a following but want to just keep expanding your reach onto other platforms. Maybe you want marketing that works for you 247 by creating this library of bingeable videos, right? Um, that sounds incredibly exciting to create this long form video content that
is going to Bring people into your world around the clock and especially like giving that depth with your audience, right? Especially in this world now of AI slop, okay? Like when we go on Instagram, there's just so much AI. We check our inboxes, there's so much AI. The cool thing about YouTube, what's been so fascinating, especially as someone who has been on YouTube for years now, it's been so fascinating seeing like as AI has become such a big thing, YouTube is A way to kind of break through that noise and to say, "Hey, like I'm
a real person. I'm a real human being. I know what I'm talking about. I know how I can help you and I'm giving you a taste of that in my YouTube content." Right? Um, and lastly, you know that building out an ever remarketing system is your next move. and you have just this feeling, this intuition or you have these signs where you're like, "Okay, yeah, like this is something that I want to build Into my business." I do think this is something that is important to do from the very beginning and having evergreen marketing and
I've done it ever since I started as a business owner 10 years ago. I've always had some form of evergreen marketing. Um, so I I know when I chat with a lot of you guys, a lot of you are still thinking these kinds of things to yourself though. You're like, "All those things sound great, right?" But you're thinking some Of these things. So, if you can resonate with any of these, comment me down in the chat because I'm sure that we are not alone if you can resonate. Okay, so the first one is this is
going to take way too much of my time. Like, who even has time to create all this YouTube content? It's become another part-time job in my business, right? Number two, all the filming and editing. Like, it already makes your head spin just thinking about filming the videos, Editing the videos, getting them scheduled, and all the technical aspects of it. Okay, I'm already seeing a bunch of me coming in the chat. Um, number three, YouTube is a beast. You just don't even know where to start. Maybe you're kind of on that edge of like, I really
want to do YouTube, but it is just so overwhelming. Maybe you're thinking, I'm gonna have to spend my major money on a fancy camera for this to work. U maybe you're thinking, I Don't have an aesthetic enough space to film in. And we're going to talk about that later, what you actually need. Um, it's not, you don't have to have this crazy setup. I promise. Um, and then maybe you are also thinking, there's no way that I can talk to myself for 30 plus minutes. If you can resonate with any of these, comment me down
in the chat. I'm already seeing lots of me there. And um I just want to share that all of these things are not true when it Comes to YouTube. Okay? And it's really a lot of the things we're going to talk about in this class today and help you to work through um what you actually need to start on YouTube and to make it work for you in your business. Number one is you need an audience to reach. Okay? So you need a clearly defined brand and niche and that you're going to go for with
your video content. Number two, um you need four hours a week if you're doing it all solo, like every Single part of the process to start off four hours a week. Nowadays, it takes me a lot less even if I'm doing a lot of the things myself. But even if you add one assistant into this, you can get this down to four hours a month, which is such a cool thing to think about. That's very different from other platforms. YouTube is something that can become very easy to pass off so many aspects of the process.
And you only have to film the content and then you Have other people helping take care of the rest for you. Um, three, you have the ability to film 8 to 12 minute long videos. So, not 30 plus minutes or 45 minutes or an hour, but simple videos that are about 10 minutes long. Um, filming with your smartphone, okay? You don't have to buy an expensive camera. Honestly, like smartphones nowadays are better than the camera I spent $1,500 on when I started my YouTube channel, okay? Um, and you can upgrade if you really Want to,
but starting with your smartphone is a really great way to do that. I'm going to show you more about that in a little bit. Um, you one clutter-free wall. Like guys, I have filmed YouTube videos when I was staying at an Airbnb when we literally did not have a home for a few months, okay? You can film YouTube videos even if you just have one simple wall to film in front of. You don't need this cute aesthetic office. It's definitely not a Requirement. Um, and you also just need a simple workflow to film alone. So,
you don't need a videographer. You don't need a fancy team or anything like that to get started on YouTube. So, I just want to take you through a little bit my YouTube journey. So, I if you're not familiar, I started YouTube back in 2018. Uploaded my first YouTube video and little did I know that decision really changed so much for me in my business. And it took me a few years Stumbling on YouTube. I actually was a photographer at the time. Up until that point, I was spending a lot of my time working with clients,
photographing weddings, working with couples. Absolutely loved it. But I knew that I got so many questions about the business side of photography that I wanted to share more of that with photographers, but also just business owners. And I spent a couple of years just really almost like really diying it and being Like just throwing stuff up that sounded good from things like how I make my chai lattes because if you didn't know I love making lattes um and things with my husband or photography and then there'd be an video editing tutorial and it was just
all over the place. Okay. Um, but there was one year, so it was in 2020, that I told myself, I'm going all in on YouTube. And for me, that just meant like making it a priority, implementing a real strategy, doing my research, and Creating the right types of videos that were actually going to grow my business. So, in one year, actually, it was technically shorter than that. Within a few months, it was in May of 2020, within a few months of saying, "I'm going to go all in." I started seeing traction on my channel. I
started seeing that little uptick in views. I'm like, "Wait a second, this is actually working." A few months later, my audience started to explode. I had Videos get hundreds of thousands of views. I was getting thousands of new subscribers, not only to my YouTube channel, but onto my email list as well. I had close to 10,000 email subscribers from YouTube, all organic, in about a year. And I went on to launch my very first course. It was a $40,000 course launch. Totally changed everything for me. Until that point, I felt very directionless in my business.
I knew that I wanted to do coaching with Business owners and reach people and helping them with marketing. But this was really the thing that propelled me forward, right? Crazy. And ever since then, there's been some really incredible things that have happened. I'm about to hit 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. I am lit literally like it'll be like in the next month, I'll hit 100,000 subscribers, which is so wild. I've had over 8 million views for my online business through my long form Video content. This is not shorts. This is not short form video content posting
every day. It's by uploading one long form video every single week. Um, for example, there was when I took six months off when I did my maternity leave, I still had over a million views in one year to my YouTube channel, even though I wasn't posting any new videos for a very long time. Um, I've had like there's one video that gave me over 3,000 email subscribers just from that One video. Um, over $15,000 in affiliate revenue from just two of my videos. So I can point it back to like one affiliate partnership. Absolutely crazy.
Um, and ever since, I mean, even into this year, YouTube brings me hundreds of new people onto my email list every single month. And that is all organic that does not have to do with ads. And it's from one simple long form video every single week. It's brought me truly so much freedom in my online business. It's Allowed me to it just like releases pressure of constantly having to show up on Instagram and all these platforms that are really asking for our daily attention. And there's really great things about those platforms. Don't get me wrong.
I'm not here to say that like don't do those platforms whatsoever. But YouTube is really that vessel that gets you in front of people who are actively searching for what you have to offer. So, we're going to talk about more about This in a minute, but Google um even chat GPT now on YouTube search and it's really allowed me to like because YouTube propelled my online business forward so much. Back at the end of 2022, my husband quit his 9 to5. He's been home with us ever since and hangs out with our kiddos all day.
I typically work around 20our work weeks and I've taken two maternity leaves ever since then. And I guess just get to be home with my family for so many hours of the Day um and set up my business on my own terms and what I want to do, right? And while YouTube, even when I take this time off or I'm working part-time hours, YouTube is actively working for me to bring people into my world. And even I had a couple of my students share with me recently, have seen similar things happen after they start with
my YouTube strategies. Um like another one mentioned that she was struggling being pregnant and was being exhausted. I Mean, I can totally relate to that, right? and she wasn't able to do as much like consistent marketing, but her YouTube kept growing and doing well and bringing people to her. Or for example, another one shared that she took a hiatus off her YouTube channel and it was still bringing her views and leads even when she wasn't uploading new videos because YouTube videos bring you in new people every single day. Even when you're not uploading new content
And even if you take a break, it's not just going to plummet. It still keeps going. YouTube also has brought me really cool opportunities. Like I've gotten to speak on some really amazing stages, um, be on some amazing podcasts with opportunities I would have never dreamed of if I hadn't put myself on camera and put myself out there and for people to find me in this way. And even one of my students shared with me recently that she like with YouTube um, After taking my course, she landed a paid speaking gig and that was never
even part of her plan. Isn't that so cool? So, it really is just a way to like say, "Hey, like here I am. Um, here's me. Here's who I am in my personal brand. Here's how I help people." And it also continually like I get so many DMs in my Instagram all the time of people saying like, "I found you on YouTube or I just binge watch all your videos and I'm wondering about your Course." And that's when I started to realize like when I was getting all of those DMs all of the time, like
this isn't just like posting content and hoping that it does something this week. It's something where you're creating a system where people can discover you over and over and over again. And the videos people find me from are videos I uploaded a year ago, two years ago, three years ago, right? It's not something that I upload. I mean, now That I have an audience, I can upload a video and typically get views from my current audience, but it will keep working for me long after I upload it. So, are you guys ready? I If you're
ready, comment in the chat ready. If you're ready to learn more about exactly how to do this, we're about to get into the super tactical information. And again, if you have any questions as we go through this, we're going to fly through a lot of this, but we're going To do a lot of Q&A at the very end. I usually say 15 minutes of Q&A, but normally I stay until I answer all the questions because I want to make sure you guys have all the questions answered. So, um, yeah. So, I see tons of readies.
Awesome. Um, I just I'm so excited because I wish more creators knew just how simple YouTube can be, especially compared to a lot of other organic platforms out there. So, first of all, what even is YouTube? So, just So we're all on the same page here real quick, YouTube is uploading horizontal long form videos. Yes, there are shorts, but the basis of the strategy we're going for is we want to get found every day without having to upload new content. So, we're uploading horizontal long form videos. It is evergreen marketing for the long term. So
we are looking at the big picture here in six months from now, year from now, three years from now. How YouTube is going to Continue to grow our brand. It is a search engine that is actually owned by Google. So Google owns YouTube and Google Google SEO like search engine the search engine of Google and the search engine of YouTube are the two largest search platforms in the world. Isn't that absolutely insane? Um, YouTube has continued to grow year after year and their active monthly users as well, even into this year, which is absolutely crazy.
Um, so this is an example of like When you type something on Google, right, you can come across YouTube content. You'll probably you notice that shift happened a lot, especially in the past couple years where they've gone even more into video content. Um, even recently, what's been absolutely bonkers to me is that I haven't really changed a whole lot about my YouTube strategy in the past year, but as Chat GPT has become to become um, even more prominent and it's it's called AEO, answer engine Optimization, um, people are searching for things on chat GPT and
coming across my content as well. And so people are coming across, they're sending people directly to my YouTube content. So, when I look at my YouTube stats, it looks something like this. So, we've got like thousands of views from Google. Um, we've got views from my own website, but then you see that uptick in I mean, that's literally over like 7,000 views from ChatGBT alone. Isn't that insane? So, people are asking things on chat GBT and ChatGBT is recommending my YouTube content as a way to dive deeper, right? So, again, this strategy um is posting
weekly long form horizontal videos. So about 10 minutes long, very simple content. This is not like 45 minute long episodes, right? Your YouTube YouTube is going to show your videos in search and being suggested to users on YouTube and browse for months to come, even when you take breaks. And then those views will Turn into email subscribers and sales if you do it right by filling your email list with people. And that's going to fill your funnels for your offers, right? So whether you sell courses, digital products, services, um any sort of online business, it's
going to help fill your audience with people who are searching for what you have to offer, right? So one long form video, one time per week, 8 to 12 minutes long, and that's it. That's the basis of this Strategy. So the goal is not to become a YouTuber, but to use YouTube as a way to market your business. And that's a really big shift that I know is a huge shift for a lot of people and are thinking about YouTube is you can use YouTube as a way for marketing. You don't need to use it
as an influencer who's posting multiple times per day um who's creating these weekly day in the life vlogs and filming so much about their personal life, right? Like there Is a way to use YouTube where you can actually bring people into your world by people coming across your YouTube content. And it's a lot different than being an influencer, which is what we're talking about in this class, right? So, I like to think about it like YouTube, each video that I make on YouTube is like all of these little mini employees, right? So, every video is
like this little employee I'm making that's going to keep working for me 247. And the more Video content I make, the more I have these little employees working for me and reaching new people so that I can sit back and relax or work on other areas of my business, right? I always get asked like, "How long until I see that traction on YouTube?" Typically I tell students like you've got to be committed for at least six months, right? So six months you have to decide I am committed. I am doing this. I'm uploading one long
form video every Single week. And again, you can take those breaks. You've got to lay the foundation and the basis. And it's not something that's going to happen overnight. And you have to think of that long-term success that you really are looking for when it comes to YouTube. And you're going to get better way faster if you are making a video to upload every single week than if you're filming just half h halfhazardly filming videos whenever you feel like it. Right? And I just want to share about one of my students, Tabitha. So she took
my full YouTube strategy course. nine months after implementing it, so a little over six months, but about nine months, um she was able to have YouTube become the highest traffic source for her digital products, double her subscribers, got monetized on YouTube, which is YouTube AdSense, which we'll talk more about here in a second, has over 20,000 views and counting on single videos. Um she Shared with me that her YouTube never felt so active and growing after implementing my strategies, which is just so cool, right? So amazing to see. And um YouTube really is like that
snowball, right? So once you get that snowball going, once you actually put it into motion, you actually stay committed, the longer you roll that snowball, the bigger it gets. And the bigger it gets, the longer it's going to take to melt when you stop rolling that Snowball. Okay? So that's a really cool thing about YouTube is like once you've got this big snowball created, you've got this big one rolled out, right? Um if you stop for a little bit, then it's going to take a long time for that to go away. It's not just going
to h like go away overnight because of all the effort you've put in in the way that videos work on YouTube. And so you can continue to see results like getting new purchases coming in, getting new people On your email list, getting views on our YouTube channel, and seeing analytics where you're like, "Wow, like I haven't uploaded a video, and I'm still getting all these views on my channel." That's the reality of what YouTube's done for me and for some of my students as well. So, I always get asked to what kinds of offers can
you sell that YouTube is going to work for? So, this is specifically if you do digital products, online courses, live programs, group Coaching, one-on-one coaching, any other type of high ticket service. Um, it can even work for affiliate marketing, or if you're really wanting to use YouTube to also share physical products as well, um, in a in a way where you are being like educational in your videos and then putting them to things that they can buy from you, which can totally work for that. But really the main thing here is that you really need
to have a specific niche and specifically a niche audience Is what I like to teach. And this is keeping in mind like what is your business and what is your brand that you're going for and how can you create videos for a niche audience right and how can you really make sure um that you are creating for this one type of person and that really helps as well as you grow your channel you don't just become for this one niche topic right for example when u my YouTube channel started to grow I grew really fast
Initially teaching Instagram reels but I also was keeping in mind like I'm creating this content for online business owners, right, who are wanting to learn more about marketing, I've been able to expand from there and still serve my audience incredibly well. And it's been very aligned with my business and where I want to go, right? And but um thinking about and this is where you get even more nitty-gritty, but you think about what are the topics that Your niche audience is going to love and you can diversify and share top share videos on different topics
for your audience. And it's not just tutorials. There's so much more to YouTube. We'll talk more about that in a second. Um, one other thing before we get into the ideas and workflow and stuff that I always get asked about all the time is what's the difference between a YouTube versus a podcast? And yes, there are nuances. Just want to give that Disclaimer. But overall, and after talking to literally so many of my students who have started a podcast who have not seen the growth with what is working right now in online marketing, YouTube is
more of a discovery platform while podcasting is more of a nurture platform. Okay, so podcasting is great for once people find you. Um, and this is specifically if you are doing a lot of solo episodes and YouTube is great for getting in front of new people. Again, there are always nuances. Um, but podcasting is going to start to lean more into that, like consistently recording new content, uploading every day, doing lots of short clips on YouTube as well, doing um like lots of podcast interviews where you have to show up to a certain time and
interview people and prepare for the interviews and make sure you're marketing the interviews afterward. And so, it's definitely it can work, right? I'm not Here to say podcasting doesn't work, but what the shift is, especially if you're a solo entrepreneur or you have a very small team, um you have a small business. The shift typically is that YouTube is going to get you for that same amount of work and for a very similar strategy of creating like one long form piece of content every single week. YouTube has a lot more discoverability baked right into the
platform where you're immediately going To start getting found on Google and YouTube search a lot more easily than you are in the nurture or you are on podcasting, right? Podcasting lends itself a lot more to once someone finds you in a different way. Maybe they find you on Instagram um or they find you through a referral then they can go down the rabbit hole of your podcast, right? Okay. I just want to pause real quick um and mention again if you have any questions please please please drop any Questions you have down in the chat.
I already see so many great questions. If you can drop them in the Q&A section that would be fantastic because I am managing this all myself. So just to keep things organized I will be answering questions in the Q&A se in Q&A portion of your chat. So if you go there drop any questions there. Please please please keep dropping them. I would love to answer them at the very end. Okay. So topics that work well on YouTube. Number One, help topics. So, these are typically what I recommend is at least half of your videos are
help videos. So, this is going to be how-to videos that generate search traffic. And something I always get asked is like how like do I have to be an educator or a coach for this to work? And the answer is no. It's simply thinking about what is your ideal client searching for that your offer solves? Like every offer is solving some sort of problem, right? So, what are Those trigger points? What are those things that people are searching for on YouTube, on Google, even now chat GPT? What are they searching for where then they can
find your video content and come across you, right? So that's the first type of content we're going to make. The second type of content is hero content. So this is kind of your go big, go home videos. They're more aimed for quote unquote like virality or even being just suggested on YouTube. So, the Topic of the video might not be as searchable, like how to do this or your plan to do this or how do you XYZ, right? Whatever it is for your niche, but your hero videos are a little bit more like here's how
I did this for this client or here's how I was able to accomplish this or I was able to I don't even know like workout every single day for 90 days and here's how I did it. Like someone might not be typing in like if you're a fitness instructor like how To work out every day for 90 days, right? Um they might be searching more like how to out as a mom or how to fit it into a busy schedule, right? But you're still showcasing like here's a specific result that I've gotten. And it's really
those ones that are going to intrigue people and be like, oh, like I really need to learn more about that or like what um what does what is she going to tell me or show me in this type of video? Right? So that's kind of what Hero videos are. Then we have hub videos. So hub videos are really videos to nurture existing community. So I usually recommend help is 50% then hero and hub make up the other 50%. And hub is so that you can help keep people coming back for more. Right? So you're able
to nurture the people that have already found you instead of just always creating these help and hero videos that are going to especially the help videos. They're more so just going to bring new People into your world, right? Let's still nurture the people that are already here. So, I've done some like in this, for example, in the past, some of my favorite hub videos have been doing launch reports. So, those ones actually tend to do pretty well as like hero videos, too. They could kind of go in both, but um whenever I do like a
course launch, I'll like break down my stats, how much I made, my expenses, time spent, things like that. So, I've done Those videos like, and that's really more for my community and things that they want to know about. Or maybe it is um like I in the past showing my Instagram analytics and like here's my analytics for the month, how I'm analyzing them, what I'm going to do moving forward, my best performing content and doing that in like real time like on a monthly basis what did so incredibly well in the past and that's something
that my current people really Eat up, right? Like people who don't know who I am are going to be like why do I care about your analytics, right? But the people who follow me are like this is so cool, right? Um, and then uh let me think another example would be I actually a great idea for hub videos is think about what questions your community ask you. So one question that I get all of the time or that I used to get all of the time still get now I have a video for it is
how do you edit your YouTube videos to show your phone screen? So like I'll be like doing stuff on my phone and have my phone screen showing on the video at the same time like show you what I'm doing. And so I created a video on how to do that. So that wasn't necessarily like ne that was more so when someone asked me that question. Now I have a video to point them back to and I know people are going to really really love. Right. Okay. So now how to create these ideas. These are Three
main ideas. I love teaching these because these are actually from YouTube themselves. They teach this like help her hub method methodology um framework for video ideas. So I just love it and I've seen this has worked incredibly well on my channel and my students channels as well. So now to actually create this video content, I love teaching a four-step workflow. This is how I create like four videos in four hours and I do it once per month and That's how I get all my video content created in just a 3 to four hours. It's really
super simple. So number one is you're going to batch film your YouTube videos one time per month. Okay? And for me, this has looked so different in different seasons of motherhood. Um before kids it was different than it was after kids. But still to this day, if I'm going to get ready to film video content, I will film as many as I can, right? So, I will make sure I'm filming At least two to three videos, usually for me now, filming at least four videos is pretty doable. When I was like in my prime of
like nine hours of straight sleep at night and could do more video content in one day, um, I was doing like six to eight videos easy in one day. And that takes a lot of practice. It's not something that's just going to happen overnight. So, I want to encourage you with that. If you've tried filming content before, you're like, Stephanie, I filmed one video and I was done. I get it. When I first started, it um really did take me time to build almost that muscle and like strengthen it to be able to film more
content. But the more that you do it, and that's why I recommend so strongly, start with filming weekly videos. Make that a goal from the beginning when you start because you're going to get so much better, so much faster at your whole workflow. Um, and it's going to just you're going to get It down. so much quicker and it's going to become so much easier for you. So, bash filming YouTube videos one time per month. I usually aim to do four videos and that usually takes me three to four hours um until I usually feel
about done filming. People's capacities will all be different, but that's typically what's worked really well for me. Even as I've become a mom, um it's way more worth my time to make sure I'm filming enough videos in one day, right? All right. Number two is to research and outline your videos one time per month. So, I'll usually spend about an hour doing this. Okay. So, I will and sometimes it's even faster, but an hour here is being really generous and it's really helping me to look at like what are questions my community asking. Um, what
are some videos that are doing well on my channel? Do I need to create more videos around those same topics? Is there anything else that is coming up like Seasonalitywise? Like maybe, you know, summer's coming and there's something in my niche for that season that would be really great to create a video on, right? So, I spent about an hour doing that myself. Um, and then this is where if you're doing this all solo, you're going to add on extra time in doing all of this. So, it's going to take you typically what I see
about two hours to edit one YouTube video every week. This can be way shorter, but in the Beginning, this is what I typically recommend as like this is what you can expect. It probably take you a couple of hours just because you're still learning the platform. Nowadays, when I'm editing my own YouTube videos, I love editing in Dscript. It is my favorite all-time favorite video editor because it's so simple and it has AI built into it and you can automatically like remove gaps in your talking, remove filler words and things like that. Makes it very
simple. So nowadays, it takes me closer to like an hour and that's if I'm adding a lot of like popups and transitions and jump cuts and things like that. But um if I was keeping it very simple, it would take me less than an hour. So, but to start two hours is a great amount of time to expect there, right? Okay. And then number four, you're going to schedule one YouTube video every week, right? So, just simply scheduling out that video. Again, 30 minutes is a Pretty um conservative number here. It'll probably take you less
than this because it's just uploading the video, adding the thumbnail, and then you're adding the links to your description and things like that. And with the with what I recommend doing too is um having a lot of like templates for a lot of this like for your description, for your thumbnails and things like that makes this so much faster. So this comes out to if you average this out, it's about Four hours a week. Really, it's going to be like you're spending a good three to four hours batch filming once per month and then you're
spending that two and a half hours a week editing and scheduling your content. But again, like I've mentioned and it's cool to see the long-term vision. Um, once you develop this workflow, it'll probably be faster than four hours a week, even if you're doing it solo. And you can even get this down with just one assistant or maybe Add a video editor. You can really cut your time way back that you're spending on all of this. And you're able to take that time, like you spend that time, that intentional time researching and outlining your videos,
batch filming them yourself, and then you hand them off to people who can edit them for you. And even like the video editor I've worked with, she like they'll schedule it all out for you as well that's included. I do also have an assistant That can schedule everything out for me as well. So, um yeah. So, it's just really cool to see that long-term vision of like you're able to very easily hand stuff off, especially as your business grows, you can really get this down to like your focus is creating amazing video content for your
community, doing that research. I mean, even you can have someone if there's someone on your team um that loves to research and like figure out what's working and stuff like They can help with a little bit of that, but a lot of that will come naturally of just being in your community, seeing what's coming through in your inbox, what's working and your content as a whole. A lot of that will just happen naturally and then you spend that time batch filming once per month and then that's it. And that's just it's such a game changer
to think about it that way because you think about other platforms. It's like Instagram. you start off, you Know, spending a couple hours a day on Instagram to market your business and it's really hard in my experience, especially if you have a personal brand, if you're a small business owner, it is incredibly hard to hand off parts of Instagram and still have it feel very like you are in your content, very true to you in your brand voice. And YouTube though is so easy to keep it like so true to you, your brand voice, your
um personal brand, your like the mission of Your small business because you're truly the voice of the content and then which we'll show you in a second that can get dispersed into so many other little pieces of content across other platforms which is just super super cool. Um and yes, Dcript that is correct that's the editing program that I use. I absolutely love Descript. And just to show you, so this is a typical, let me see. Um, this is a typical if I like I went back to Whenever I was doing everything myself when it
came to creating YouTube content, like back towards the beginning. This is Toggle, by the way. T O G G-L. It's my favorite. It's a completely free time tracking app. Absolutely loved it. I've used it for years. I don't pay a dime for it. And I but went back and this was a pretty typical month for me. I spent 19 hours filming and editing my YouTube content. So you can see like I spent more than The four spent about the four hours a week, right? And even here either there was two filming days or the one
filming day was seven hours. Either way, like yes, it did take me longer. Um like I mentioned now, like I can bust out so many more videos in a shorter amount of time because I've built up that muscle. Um but even one of my students that was in you has been in YouTube for business shared that she actually created um 11 videos in 16 hours which is like a Little over an hour a video or something like that which is crazy like that was she told me like totally done edited scheduled everything and nowadays like
I mentioned seeing that long-term vision like this is what it looks more even with a super tiny team like outsourcing your YouTube steps so having someone to either schedule or edit your videos. This is three hours and 47 minutes. I can I outlined my videos, ideulated my videos, and then just filmed them one Day and then I'm done. I I uploaded in Google Drive. There's a system, there's workflows, my team knows what to do, right? And so instead of on this hamster wheel again of different platforms, like you're creating a real then creating a story
and then creating an email, creating a real, creating a blog, creating a story, like instead of creating all of these different content pieces from scratch, you're able to take this one long form video. It's like a Foundational long form piece of content to turn into all these other pieces of content across your blog, which is another way, I didn't even show this on the stats earlier, but another way that I get so many views to my website and to my YouTube channel is I blog my YouTube videos. Okay, so it's kind of basically taking what
was in the video and putting it into a long form written blog post that people can come across that is SEO optimized that people can find. And then I'm also able to take this and essentially replace like the time I was spending creating an individual reel or an individual email or individual story. Like I already have easy pieces of content I can pull from my YouTube video. So what this looks like is here's the long form video on the far lefthand side, right? And then you'll see there's the word WordPress blog post right there that
we took it turned it into a blog post folk would come across. And then You'll see this is part of one of my emails. I love doing like content roundup emails where I share about new content, new what's new on my YouTube channel. And so this is where I'm sharing that YouTube video, right? Um this is a Instagram story where I'm sharing, hey, here's a new YouTube video. You can watch it right here, right? So it's really you're able to take this one video and even replace some of the content you're creating from Scratch on
other platforms every single week. Make it so much more sustainable. And even this content groundup, you guys, like I typically have a team member do this. So, they're able to just take what I'm already doing like with my YouTube content, turn it into an email, which is amazing because they're taking this just the things that I say and turning it into a um turning it into an email. And Jen mentioned blogs get more reach when there are videos on there. Yes, that is true. So when there's a YouTube video embedded into a blog post, Google
absolutely loves that because again because Google owns YouTube, so they really do um if you have a video like in there, they love it. They'll help like push it up, right? Okay, so now the tech setup. So I know this is something that a lot of people are like, "Oh my goodness, like this makes my head spin. This is so overwhelming. How am I supposed to like do all of this tech?" Right? And I just really want to boil it down to one main thing here when it comes to your text setup. And that is
that audio quality matters so much more than video quality here. So if you in the beginning especially like I mentioned like your smartphone is so great nowadays. So start with your smartphone. And then I'm going to recommend one that I absolutely love is the road video mic mi. It is an $80 microphone. incredibly affordable way to Get started um in creating content. So, you would just take your smartphone, right, and you hold you would set it up horizontally. If you have the ability to film in 4K, YouTube also loves 4K and they'll like push videos
out more that have 4K. They absolutely love that. So, if you can film in 4K with your smartphone, um literally all you do, I don't have the microphone handy, but you just literally plug it into your phone. You don't change any settings. You don't Have to do anything. And just make sure the mic is pointed at you. So, it's going to look something like this. And that's how you film your content. Most of you, you'll also need a tripod for your smartphone or something to set it up on, which you could just makeshift something if
you had to. But a a tripod like this is like $15 on Amazon. Super cheap, which is also great cuz my toddlers love stealing my tripods and playing with them and breaking them, Which is fantastic. So, when I have to replace it, I've probably bought 10 of these over the years. It's just insane. Um, but this is what it looks like. It's really this simple. And like I mentioned, like you can use really simple backdrops. These are examples of real videos. I have my YouTube channel. Like the first one there is when I first moved
into this office that you see here when we first moved into this home a couple years ago, and I just didn't have Anything on my walls yet. So, it's just pretty plain and simple, but it works, right? Um, second one there. Literally, I'm at my desk and I have just a plant behind me. And then the one on the bottom left there, I that's when I was at the Airbnb and that was like the best lighting and stuff. I'm like, you know what? I'm just going to roll with it. And the message matters more than
your backdrop. And I'll say the message and the audio quality. If people's ears are Bleeding or they feel like they can't hear you well, um, that will make people click off so much faster. They'll forgive like low quality video if you if you have great audio quality. Okay. I've seen even just like people who grow really fast on YouTube. Um, even now, like there's people who are growing so quickly and they're just filming with like smartphones, webcams, but their audio quality is great. So, if your audio quality is good, especially when You're first starting when
there's so many moving pieces that you're trying to figure out, you I I wouldn't put too much like pressure on yourself to have this like perfect setup. And with lighting, really the easiest way to start is just open up your window and turn off all of your artificial light. So, artificial light looks warm. This is where like my photographers coming um coming up. Artificial light, it will look very orange on your face and make You look orange and we don't want that. And so to have the best quality lighting for you to look really nice,
just open up your windows. Um place the window in front of you or to the side of you. You'll kind of notice that here. You can notice like this the window is coming out from this way. It's hitting my face on the side. And so just open up your windows, turn off all your artificial lighting. Um, and again, you can upgrade like there's LED panels, soft boxes that Are also pretty affordable on Amazon. But, um, I mean, really, it can just be as simple as that, right? Especially when you're getting started, you can slowly add
in these things as you go, but it doesn't have to be like all at once. Okay. Okay. Um, Jen mentioned she's also a photographer. Yes, I love that. So, great. Okay. Um, I am now going to dive into the part where we talk about how to make money on YouTube. like how to connect those dots from you Are creating these videos to how it actually makes you revenue as a business owner. Again, if you have any questions, um I see so many questions in the Q&A spot of the chat, which is incredible. I am so
incredibly excited. So, keep dropping your questions. I know we've gone through a lot so far. Um but yeah, we're going to go through. So, when it comes to making money on YouTube, when it as a business owner, there are three main ways, three main things that we're Going to focus on here. And you'll notice that none of these have to do with sponsorships, okay? Um, number one is your paid offers. And this is really going to be the main money maker here, right? You're pointing people to your business. You're pointing people to get on your
email list and you're going to directly sell them via your email list or in the video itself, right? Number two is affiliate marketing. I found this to be very powerful, especially when you Can sprinkle in like if you have a favorite program or thing that you can recommend to your audience that you know that they're going to love. maybe you get asked about it a lot and they have an affiliate program, you can sprinkle in videos for that. And then as an added bonus, this is not what we're going for with our video content, but
typically what I see is as an added bonus, um, you have YouTube AdSense. So that's where people like you see the ads that roll Before or during a YouTube video that you like skip after 5 seconds, right? YouTube is paying the person who made the video a cut of what the advertisers are paying YouTube. So, in the end, you as a creator, you're getting part of whatever that advertiser paid to put those videos on your um on your YouTube content, right? So, YouTube AdSense is like an added little cherry on top. But really, the main
thing that we're going for here is your paid offers. And um I Like I've even had my students, one of my students after just two weeks of implementing my YouTube strategies, and I do want to mention she had a YouTube channel before and had been uploading content, but hadn't seen really like great results. And so, she wanted to make a change. She had two of her long for form videos take off, get over a thousand views, and had multiple low ticket digital product sales directly from the videos, which is just so Incredibly cool to see.
Um, I had another one of my students recently share with me, Jennifer, that by the time she had finished taking the course and started implementing, she went from zero, um, she went from zero to over 2,000 views and started already seeing results in her sales for her YouTube channel. So, how does this work? Okay, so here's an example. This is a screenshot of some of the videos on my YouTube channel. And how I like to think About it is you're almost going to diversify the way people are going to buy from you or pay you.
Okay? So, every video is going to have one main call to action. So, one main thing that is going to point people to that you're going to point people to. It's going to be related to something in your business and it's going to be related to the topic of the video. So, it's got to make sense for whatever the video is about. So you'll see like as I've mentioned I'm A huge fan of going for a niche audience, right? So you'll notice like I don't just talk about Instagram anymore. There's so many different topics from
how to plan your photo shoots for your business. Um there real tutorials there. There's how to create an online course. There's how to make podcast clips, a podcast versus YouTube, there's steal my current social media strategy, email marketing for passive income. There's so many different things, but the same Person is going to find all these things interesting. Every one of these videos has one key call to action that I am really pointing people to, right? So, here you'll see what all the different call to actions are. So, you'll see one's my affiliate link for Descript,
one is my free res, one's my Kajjabi affiliate link, we have another free res, another free reals class, u my YouTube formula freebie, that's how I stack my income with YouTube. It's like A free download. We have one that's a hub content that didn't have like one type like strong call to action. So, every single one of these videos are pulling people. It's almost like these all these little places that can people can go to and they can either get on my email list, which they're inevitably going to be offered whatever I sell, or it's
going to immediately start sharing and inviting them into my paid offers. And I love to think about it as like What's that next step they can take after they watch the video that is ultimately also going to help my business make money, right? Because at the end of the day, that's why we're doing this. We're doing this to um help people, serve people, lead with value, show them that like we're a real human, right? That um we can help them. And we're going to strategically create the right type of videos and create the right type
of video structure that is Going to bring them into our world even more and how we can ultimately help them best, which is in our paid offers, right? like our paid offers, we're doing it right. Um, our paid offers are where you're giving like the most out of anything and that's where they're going to get the biggest transformation with you and that's why we're doing this, right? So, as a tangible example, here's a YouTube video, okay? And there's three different ways we want to mention either It's a freebie for our email list that gets them
onto our email list. Uh maybe it's a workshop, a free webinar, a free download, a quiz, whatever it is, something fun that relates to the video. So you'll notice like this is about creating your first reel. So I'm sharing about my free reals class that is directly relates to reals, right? Like it wouldn't make sense for me to share a freebie that is about how to start a YouTube channel because this has nothing To do with starting a YouTube channel. So you have to relate it to whatever the video is. And we're going to do
it in three ways. So we've got um the visual aspect, right? So visually um I am showing like a graphic of whatever it is. So it could be a banner, a popup, a mockup of whatever it is. Um just something to if you can visually show them to get them to want to then click the link in your description. So that's the second place in the description. You're going to the very first line is going to just be a brief like one sentence why they should get it. Just make it very easy for them to
find it. Because the third way you're going to do this is audibly mention it when you are talking in your videos. And typically I recommend that you do this within the first around the first 3 to four minutes of your video. You're somehow weaving in whatever it is that you're um you're offering them into. And so I focus and I Lean very heavily into email list freebies. You'll probably notice it's a lot of email list freebies or affiliate links and then sometimes directly to a paid offer, especially if it like in the past I've run
some programs or masterminds and I'll direct people directly to like the application page, but for the most part I want to get them just that next step and what feels the most organic. When you're thinking about outward platforms like YouTube, social Media, it feels a lot more organic and natural and part of what the platform was made for. If you just invite them into something else that's free and get them on your email list, and then that's where you really can show up and serve them and ultimately pitch them into your offers. Right? So, to
recap, we're mentioning this call to action audibly, so we're saying it in our videos ideally in the first three to four minutes so that the most people see it. Your Average retention rate on YouTube is about 30%. That is very normal. So that means the average person is going to watch about 30% of your video content. So if you can mention it in the first 30%, which if you're making 10-minute videos, 3 to four minutes, right? If you can mention it, then you're going to have the most amount of people able to see the freebie.
I'll even give a another quick tip here. If you can think about how can you create a video where In order to follow along with the video, they have to download a freebie. That can be incredibly strategic. Like that's how I got over 3,000 subscribers from one video is this is oh my goodness this is like five years ago way back when YouTube or when Instagram there's like some hack like you know like the highlights like how to make highlights and then there was I don't know it was some hack about Instagram stories and how
to add like make a photo circular Very it would be very hard to explain without seeing it but basically in order to follow along with the tutorial and what most people were looking for is they had to download a graphic and in order to get that graphic, I set up a form to get on my email list to get the graphic. And that's how I gain a bunch of email subscribers. And by doing this, so now that I'm, you know, five years in, six years in, I have literally hundreds of videos with all of these
Different things baked in. So I have consistent stream of people coming onto my into my freebies, onto my email list from the videos I've created over the years from showing up so much and creating all this content. And just to give you an example, so once someone clicks a freebie, there's again and this gets more into like it really depends on offer, your strategy, your sales. Um, you know, it really just depends on like what it is, but and and what you do with Them from there. But for me, I love doing, as you probably
can tell, I love doing free workshops like this, free classes. So, um, the first like four years of my YouTube channel, this is my reals miniourse, and I had a free reals class that invited them into my reals miniourse. um with some fun bonuses and I just love having a lot of fun with it and I can very confidently attribute over $100,000 in a few years from this one funnel and that's just from YouTube. Like there are many other ways I monetized this course but very organically on evergreen just happened just from the people that
were signing up for when I mentioned my free res. That's what this is here. people would then be offered my reals miniourse and buy and that's what was just happening organically every single week without me doing anything else because I had this baked into so much of my YouTube content right which is just crazy. Um, like I Mentioned, I've mentioned before like now even now we have hundreds of new people. If I didn't do any ads, if I didn't post on Instagram, um, and there have been months that's happened in the past, like last year,
uh, I still get like three, 400, 500 people on my email list, that just happens. And that comes from YouTube. Um, and even when we've done more specific tracking um, and have like YouTube specific links where I can see where people came from, it the Number was very consistent with that. So, um, yeah, if you guys, so if you have any questions about how this works, let me know. Keep dropping questions. Um, and like I mentioned, in addition to this, um, and building out, I mean, this built out my audience. My audience has consistently, my
email list has, um, hit 20,000 email list subscribers organically. So, that was before I did a lot of any other platforms really. YouTube was the main platform that grew My email list to that point. And it also has given me that cherry on top, right? So, with YouTube AdSense, like I mentioned, um it's added extra over $70,000 over the past four or five years of showing up on YouTube just for upling videos into their platform. YouTube rewards their creators so much for uploading content. And it all just builds an ads on top of each other,
right? And this is not to mention like all of my other paid offers. The real Spinning course is just one thing that I offer um thousands in affiliate partnerships and revenue. And I know you guys know, especially if you've been in the online business world for any amount of time, that you can't just say there's one thing that led to any sort of success. Like it is a culmination. Culmination, is that the right word? Um, it is like cumulative all these, you know, there's different things that go into it, right? Like I had to create
This offer and I had to launch it to my audience and had to know how to set up a funnel, right? But when I think about my journey, like YouTube truly brought me the visibility I needed in order for it to happen. Like I couldn't have launched these courses um or built my email list like if I didn't have these videos like opening up my or opening up um building up my audience in this way and it really helps to give me that front-end visibility, the leads in order to grow My business, right? And I
just want to give you some encouragement here because I know sometimes um this can get overwhelming just thinking about starting on YouTube. And one thing that I always tell my students is number one, you have a unique perspective that someone's going to connect with. Even if there's other people on YouTube in your niche already, even if someone's doing something very similar to you, like you were created with unique gifts that's Going to connect with someone more than like another person would. And by showing up, by putting your face to your brand, by creating YouTube content,
you're going to connect with those people really, really well, right? And that that confidence to do that really comes with skill. That's the first thing that you have to think about. Like that skill is only going to come with practice. And then that practice is going to feel easy once you have that Traction. Okay? So really, it's thinking about how can I put this into motion, right? and be committed and get started now and start creating those weekly videos so that in a year from now, like think about it. In a year from now, if
you start, you'll have over 50 videos that are starting to do all of this for you on evergreen, right? And you'll start to feel more confident the more you put that into place, the more videos you create, and then you'll start to Like, it's so fun when you start to see that traction happening. you're like, "Oh my goodness, like I made my first organic sale from YouTube or wow, like I'm starting to actually gain views and subscribers." Like, it starts to feel even easier to want to show up and put in that practice and to
be consistent with YouTube, right? Okay. So, I also want to ask out of you all there, all of out of all of you here, all of you there, all of you here. Um, usually when I talk to my students, there are two main camps that I find that my students are in. So, number one, maybe you feel excited to start now. So, you know that you want to start a channel, you haven't done it before, um, but you have no idea where to begin, and you want to learn even more about exactly how to do
it. So, if you're camp number one, you've never done YouTube before, but you're really excited to start, go ahead and drop a one down in the chat. And number Two, maybe you're in the tell me what works camp. So, like some of my students that have come to me, they have tried growing a YouTube channel before, um, but they've had little to no results and they're really ready for like say like tell me what works, right? Especially with like video ideas, video structure, how to make their videos look more professional, feeling confident on camera. So,
I would just love to know if you can comment in the chat one or two, Which one that you're in. Um, if you feel like or if you are somebody who has tried YouTube before, you're number two. If you're someone who hasn't, but you're really excited to start, then that would be number one. Okay. I'm seeing a good mix. Honestly, we have Christina is a one, Madison's a one, Rachel's a one, Courtney's a two, Porsha's a two, Brenda's a two. Um, Katherine and Britney are twos. Nelly and Ty are ones. Wow, there's so many of
you guys. This Is so fun. This is why I love doing it live because I love just like all the feedback. It is so incredibly fun. Love it. Okay, so while you guys keep dropping whatever number that you are, um so really moving forward, whether you're in camp number one or you're in camp number two, um you really have two options moving forward from today. So number one is you can continue just ignoring YouTube, not seeing results from YouTube, or just not knowing where To start when it comes to your YouTube strategy. Right? So that's
option number one. just keep moving forward with what you're doing right now. Um, and option number two is that you can get my exact full framework on how to scale your marketing using YouTube. So, I would really love to take a moment to introduce you to YouTube for Business um, and share a little bit more about my full in-depth program on YouTube. We're going to do Q&A as soon as I'm done Sharing a little bit about it. So, if any questions pop up either about the program or if you have any questions about anything we
talked about, anything related to YouTube, keep dropping those questions down in the chat. But I really want to take a moment to share about YouTube for business. Um, so it's my signature online course where you can really scale your marketing with YouTube, right? So, it helps you to come up with those ongoing video topics. We Go even deeper into I know a lot of you have gone through binge worthy video. I know a lot of you have um learned from me about YouTube, learned what's in this class, right? We go even deeper into video topics
and there's so much you can do with trends and seasonality and what your audience and what's working, looking at your analytics, um knowing exactly what to say on your videos, creating engaging outlines that are actually going to be like keep people Watching your videos. That's a really big part of how making your YouTube videos work for you is making sure that you have a great structure that not only keeps people wanting to watch because that retention rate, the the higher it is, the more YouTube is going to show your videos to other people, right? Um,
but it's also going to help with yeah, just like overall growing your channel and getting people into your business onto your email list, right? We go over Even in depth into the simple fast filming and editing structure and workflow. So everything I talked about here today, it is like a full deep dive into my workflows, my systems, templates, checklists, like everything you need to take action and to feel really confident and start creating that video or that library of videos for your business that's ultimately um working for you 247, right? So, if you're interested, um,
there should be a link, A button that has popped up. You can click over, you can learn more. Um, and just imagine like when you start with this, you'll have a system, a marketing system that is going to grow your reach 247 that you always need to be on, right? I know a lot of us feel that pressure of like, I just feel like I always need to be posting new content on Instagram or always sending something new. And this is really a platform that is kind of like running behind the Scenes to reach new
people and to pour new leads into your email list, into your offers, right? So whether you sell online services, courses, digital products, online programs, um this is a really great way to go allin on evergreen, right? And really to start on YouTube and use it in a way specific for marketing that's different than being an influencer, right? And ultimately it's going to require less of you in the long run. So, if you're looking for more In-depth support with exact video topics for your weekly video content that'll gain you views from the right people, um, if
you want simple outlines to know exactly what to say in those simple 10-minute videos, you want money-making video structures to point people to your email list or to buy your paid offers, I show you examples and structures. There's so much meaty content in there on that. Uh, we go through gain the knowledge you need to create engaging Professional video content. So, especially like it's more in depth on that simple video setup that I shared in this class. But if you're like, "Hey, I actually do want to spend um and invest to upgrade my setup." There's
ways you can do that. And I show you more exactly how to do it and then how to actually use the stuff once you get it. Like I show pull up settings and show you on the camera where to put your mic and um how the S, you know, with an SD card and Plugging it into your computer and how to offload videos, like all of that kind of tech stuff. Okay. um how to feel and sound confident in front of the camera so you feel really excited about the videos that you're putting out there.
And again, my easy 4hour a month video creation workflow so that it's not a time suck. And there are video lessons, templates, checklists. I even have a video on how to like outsource this to an assistant or get help from other People with this type of um video marketing system. Right? So here's a little peak of what the course looks like when you get inside. So, there are um modules with 55 different video lessons. Yes, 55 is a little insane. Um how much is packed into there? There's 17 downloads. Um there's also a couple of
AI assistants that come with the course. It's primarily video lesson based, so you're going to see my face. Um you're going to have slides with Visuals, lots of um different templates and downloads. You can download copies of the slides. There's closed captions with all the videos and um covers everything. I mean, everything I've learned about YouTube from business strategy, the workflow, launch plan to actually get your channel up and going, um the filming, the editing, the gear options, common questions, even like advanced things kind of what you once you get things going, advanced things to
Think about as you start growing your YouTube channel. And one of my favorite things about this course is it includes um the 247 coaching with Steph AI assistant. So, this is in chat GBT. It is a GPT that I have literally trained and created to basically know everything about the course. So, it has every transcript, every template, every framework that I teach. And you can come into here literally any time of day and ask it questions. It's kind of like Having me and my YouTube marketing brain in your back pocket that you can use on
mobile or desktop um and ask questions about YouTube, especially if you're wondering like where does Stephanie talk about this in the course or how can I apply this concept from the course to my niche? It's going to help you get started with that. So, in addition to the course and if you click on over if you um look at the the page, it has all the information about every single thing That's included. I'm also throwing in some bonuses just for you guys who are in this class. This is available if you are watching this live
and also as long as we keep the replay up. I'll leave these bonuses up. So there's three different bonuses. The first two is my YouTube coaching vault and my 100 call to action pitch scripts. Um so the YouTube coaching vault is a $97 value and is over three hours of group coaching call replays. These were Focused on YouTube marketing. So, if you're someone who you're like, I just love seeing people like workshop through different topics and talk through things with YouTube strategy, like this is going to be so amazing to have. And then I also
am throwing in my 100 call to action pitch scripts, which are give you a hundred different ways that you can actually pitch whatever is like your freebie, your paid offer um within your videos. So, I'm throwing that in. And Then we also have the instant video repurposing AI that I am including. So, this is $147 value and this is like one of my favorite things ever. I genuinely use this like every single week and it's why I just really wanted you guys to have it because it helps take that video and turn it into all
these other things. have like a um custom GPT that you can use that is backed up with so much knowledge of how to write an SEO Optimized blog post, how to not make it sound robotic and how to basically take you drop your transcript into it and it will spit out this blog post and we've been using it for the past like six months and it is absolutely incredible. Um, so it includes like one like that. You can drop your transcript into the short form ideas generator and it will pull out like phrases and things
that you say that you can turn into short form content like hook ideas um and Things like that. It comes with like Instagram templates, email graphic templates to share on your other platforms. Um, it comes with like a mini chat template so you can share your new YouTube content with the um with your Instagram audience. So like if you're sharing on your stories for example and you're like reply this word for link to my new YouTube video I have an many chat automation already created ready to go for you to use to be able to
do that. So It just really takes that idea of repurposing across platforms and makes it so much easier. Okay, I do see an you said you had a problem um getting opening up the link. If anyone else has an issue, let me know. Um I checked it. It should be working but maybe try a different browser too and see if that works. Um, okay. Let's go ahead. You'll see. Oh, so I also wanted to point out real quick. So the you'll see this and I'm so glad this is working Because sometimes this doesn't work like
the little video on here. I'm like so inter like I'm so excited about that right now. But this is an example of like I'm dropping a transcript from long form content into this video to blog post copywriter and it's writing my entire blog post for me. And I just usually what I'll do is I'll go in and just like make little tweaks as I want and it's way faster than having to write from scratch. So, YouTube for Business. So, normally, like if you go to my shop um and you go and you go buy it,
right, it's normally $9.97, but I wanted to offer it to you guys with all of the bonuses included. They're worth over $300 for only $5.97 or you can do three monthly payments of 227. Okay? So, that is 40% off. We're offering this for a limited time to anybody who signed up for this live class. It's also available for replay attendees like I mentioned. Um, the link popped up and looks like Okay, it looks like the link should be working. So, yeah. Cool. Okay. Um, so I wanted to take you take a minute. If you have
any other questions about YouTube, go ahead and keep dropping them in the chat. I'm going to show you a little more about what's in the course and then we'll dive into your questions that I'm so excited about. So, the first module is where you really dive into your whole YouTube strategy. So, it's like how YouTube fits into your content Marketing, the free the three main video idea categories that we discussed in this class. We're going to dive even deeper into those and more examples and flesh it out more. How making money works on YouTube. Diving
into that section even more. Um, we go into the next module. This is your whole like YouTube launch plan. So, how to actually get it up and going. This is a huge favorite of our students because it really helps you to see like how can I Actually get this thing going? Right? So, you have a fiveweek YouTube ROI launch plan and that includes a custom I guess I'll go on to the next one to show you, but this also includes a custom GPT to I call it the launch party planner. It's so fun and you
give it some information. It's going to help you to flesh out like Instagram templates, email templates to get your um YouTube channel out into the world. So if you already even if you have a small Audience on any other platform like Instagram or maybe have a Tik Tok or something like that, this can really help you to leverage the audience you already have. Get them over to your YouTube channel. And also what I found happens with a lot of my students is it gets those people who are on the edge of working with you, buying
from you, being like, "Oh yeah, like I I actually really love like what she has to share or he has to share and I'm going to jump into Her offer now." Right? So going back to that module, um we go over more with creating your YouTube channel. So like how to keep going when it feels really hard. Um creating your upload schedule, branding your channel, your YouTube channel setup checklist, and your banner Canva template. Okay, next module is all about video ideas and your outlines. Okay. So, how to really develop this system for creating really
great outlines and ideas for your channel That's actually going to grow your YouTube channel um and actually going to convert for business, right? We go into module four, which is all about backdrops, lighting, how to choose the best lighting, how to set it up. It's very visual. It's so fun because it feels like a workshop where you're literally like sit hanging out with me and um watching me like set up my lighting and stuff. I just I love this one so much. Module five is the gear Options and walkthroughs. So, this is how to choose
like what camera and mic you're going to use. Are you going to do like your smartphone, invest in a camera, invest in a more expensive um 4K camera, different things like that, how to film with like multiple people, um how to film at night, like different things when it comes to actually the setup of your tech. Um module six is where we go into the filming day workflow. So, how to make it a success, How to feel confident, how what to do before you even start filming to set yourself up for success, um and best
practices. We even talk about like how to record vlogs if you do want to record vlogs. Um you can watch me film a YouTube video from start to finish, different things like that. Um we also have module seven which is how to choose an editing workflow. So we talk through like DIY versus outsourcing. Um and then I give you a framework if you are going To DIY your editing. I give you frameworks and checklists to be able to do that easily and best practices for intros, outros, and then a recommendation for video hiring a video
editor as well. And then we have module eight. So if you are DIY editing or even if someone on your team if you want them to jump in and do the editing for you u module 8 is about how to do it yourself. Okay. So we have a few tutorials. We have a checklist of for video editing That I personally use when I edit my YouTube videos. We have where to find royalty-free music. But then we also have the a deep dive into three programs. That is Dcript like I've already mentioned. That's my favorite one.
It's like a paid subscription. It's pretty it's pretty low cost um on a monthly basis depending on your plan. And then there's iMovie. So if you have an Apple computer, iMovie is free. That's typically what I recommend. If You're looking for a free option, okay, so you can start with iMovie. If you're looking for an upgraded option that's like a onetime fee, I love Final Cut Pro. That's what I used for a really long time before I now use Dscript a lot more, honestly. But um we have tutorials for all of those, more recommendations if
you need more options. We have graphics for like the popups and things for your channel, right? Okay. Module nine is about uploading and scheduling Your channels like best practices for all of that and thumbnails and everything. Module 10 is those advanced YouTube strategies. So, especially once you get things going, just like little things that I have learned that really take it to the next level and help your channel to grow. This is a huge favorite of my students who have been on YouTube before and are like trying to figure out how to like change their
strategy and what to do differently. Um, and module 11 are just common questions that we get about YouTube and answering those questions for you. Okay. And then this course, um, I another question I normally get is what niche does this apply to? What kind of business owner is this for? And we've had over 250 students so far go through this course. And it's really applicable to any online business selling services, digital products, programs, or courses, right? So, if you sell an online product, Course, service, that's really who this is for, especially if you want to
have like a personal brand. So, you'll see there's a list, and this is on the sales page. If you go there, you'll see this list of niches that we've worked with. Um, this is not extensive. There are more niches than this that we work with, but essentially if you're selling one of these offers, YouTube will work for you. What I like to say is like if you are already posting on Instagram, like most Of the type of content you post on Instagram, that idea like the hook or whatever can be turned into a YouTube video
and you can market your business on YouTube as well. So you don't have to be like it does apply really well if you're like a coach, an educator um type of niche or type of business, but even if you're I mean if you're selling like a course or a program or digital product, a lot of you are in the space of like even services like you're in the Space of helping people, right? So it's kind of taking like what are ways of how people learn from you and how they how you help people and putting
that on YouTube and in a way where people can come across you and come into their your world even more, right? Um, so as a reminder, I'm going to leave this up to the end of the webinar. It's also available for replay attendees. It's for a limited time only. Um, we're giving it to you for 40% off and you'll also get All three of those bonuses. You'll hear me share about this course sometimes on sale like to my whole audience or publicly, but typically I don't throw in this many bonuses. This is like pretty rare.
Um, so I really love just as a thank you for being here. If this is something that's a good fit for you right now, if you want to jump in and go even deeper with me into YouTube and building out this strategy, this is a really really great place to do that Because I typically don't offer all of these different bonuses. Um, okay. So, let's go ahead. If you have any questions, let me know. Um, once we get through all the questions, um, the link will come down. It won't be available anymore. So, it's just
for a limited time. And I'm going to go ahead and go into the Q&A over here. You have so many good questions. Okay. Okay. I'm just going to start from the Top because I feel like that's going to make it so much easier. Um, so, okay. So, Jill asked, "Does your course teach YouTube shorts?" So, I would say, um, I have a lesson on YouTube shorts, but my strategy is not based on YouTube shorts for a couple reasons. One, I use YouTube as a way to create like build out this long form content that's going
to reach people every day and shorts typically doesn't do that. I have tried and even more recently, I've been uploading more Shorts and it's great for like views, but I haven't seen a lot of like it doesn't convert as much because the quality of viewers is not as high as like a long form viewer is a very high quality viewer. So that's why I focus mainly on long form. Shorts is just it's very interesting. A lot of it, it started out pretty like it it would just be a lot of people like repurposing realels and
Tik Toks with like the logo still on it onto shorts. It's gotten a Little better now, but that's kind of a lot of what Schwarz has become. So, I don't do a lot with shorts personally. Um, my biggest hurdle is editing and editing programs. Yeah. So, Karina, I would recommend looking into Dscript because it has changed so much for me and I have that tutorial in YouTube for business and I walk you through more of that and how I use Descript. But, um, yeah, Dcript is great because it's it's like has AI in it and
it can Automatically remove filler words and like it because it it transcribes your video and you're editing your video based on a transcription as well. So, you it can search like every time you say um or every time you say whatever word you want to like edit out of your video. It makes it really really fast. So, that's been a game changer for us. Um, okay. We have Jessica. My focus on YouTube has mainly been dance and the videos that I have the most reach thus Far are dance tutorials. How can I weave those types
of videos into this process and have people continue continue to work with me rather than just moving along with me along with the video then moving on? I want to do more talking videos too, but it's a little less common with dance focused brands, I think. Yeah, that's a great question. I would say it is less common if if what you do is so visual. So like back when I did photography in a way it was almost Easier to create content because it's like photography just like dance is so visual and you can show somebody
like on location how to do something. But what I was doing when I first started um and how I would apply it today is like I would still do those sit down videos. And I think that's actually going to give you a leg up from people who aren't because there's still going to be people who are um like maybe and it can be some there can be visuals in it too. So like What comes to mind instantly is like what are things people searching for that might not necessarily be like a visual dance tutorial, right?
But it might be something where you are able to walk them through like how to prepare to dance, right? Maybe you have like a bag of like stuff that you always bring before you go like and dance, right? So maybe it's walking them through that and like you're showing them. It's like more of a sit down like you're showing them Those things, right? So that's what I would think about more and that can be really powerful to um just bring people into your world in different ways. But it's not bad to lean into like if
it does um have really great reach and your audience loves it, like I don't think it's bad to focus on those. Like I did a lot of reals, Instagram reals tutorials in the beginning when my channel started growing really fast and that helped. Those were like my help videos that were Getting people into my world and then I expanded it kind of like I mentioned like I was showing them the behind the scenes more and like you could do a day in the life of being a dancer. And it's not that you're going to focus
all your content on vlog content, right? Like not whatsoever. That's not what we're going for here. But you can weave that in occasionally um and give variety to like the types of videos that you're uploading. Um, okay. Let me go find it again. Okay. So, Heather asked, "I don't have an actual business or anything to sell. How do I figure out what content I could monetize and decide on a direction?" Um, do you have something helpful to figure out what to sell? Um, great question. Um, I have more resources in my shop. If you go
to Stephaniecase.com, tons of free resources and shop stuff there. I Would go check those out first. Um, Britney asked, "I've been posting one time per week for almost a year. My views have gotten lower and lower. What could I be doing wrong? Do I need to study SEO more? Do I need to niche down? What else could I be optimizing?" Um, instantly what comes to mind, and this is where when I changed my YouTube strategy, it came down to a few different things. One is do more experimentation within your niche Audience. So figure out what
topics your audience loves learning about from you that's working really well and figure out how you can double down on those to grow your audience and to get in front of more of your niche audience in front of your people, right? So figure out what like what topics actually resonate. So it could take more experimentation. It could take looking at your analytics, see what's already working. even if it's just those little bit like you get 200 Views on a video instead of 50 views like pay attention to those things and double down on the videos
that are working well. Um those are the two things that instantly come to mind and I do go more in depth in YouTube for business about like all of that right because there is a lot that goes into it um as far as optimizing and like what to do there but yeah that's those are the first things that I would be looking at. Um, okay. Allan asked, "I have a YouTube Channel for a number of years and didn't use it at all, hence I missed the opportunity to make money optimization question here. Should I start
a new channel?" Um, yes, great question. So, I always say if your current channel is somewhat aligned to what your niche that you're going for is, I typically like when I shifted my channel from photography to like marketing, I just unlisted videos that didn't really have much to do with my new niche and just Went forward from there because it was close enough because I was already starting to make videos about like marketing and business. So, that's personally what I did. If it is like complete 180 like different from your old niche, I would just
start a new channel. That's just me personally. Um Okay. Okay. Um Porsha asked, "I've been using YouTube to post clips from our podcast for the Past 3 years. It hasn't grown much. How do you recommend we organize our current YouTube channel as we shift to putting out long form videos as a part of your process?" Yeah. So, I typically recommend if you're wanting to see YouTube first growth, you have to make YouTube first content. So, if you're just repurposing podcast content to YouTube, you can expect like your current audience to just enjoy a different platform
to view your podcast On, but you're probably not going to see YouTube first growth. So, it kind of just boils down to that. And that's where you have to decide like do you want to shift allocate like where you're putting your time put it into making some of these like maybe these 10-minute long videos that are going to bring new people into your world and you can let them go down the rabbit hole of your podcast as well. But typically if you're wanting to do a podcast on YouTube it is A different strategy than what
I personally teach and what I lean into because podcasting on YouTube is much more us typically highly produced. you're a lot more output, a lot more interviews, a lot more clipping and sharing tons of clips every single day onto shorts as well to get the visibility you really want. So, um, yeah. So, it really just comes down to that. Hopefully that makes sense. Um, Okay. I'm going to go ahead. I'm going to turn off my screen. There we go. So, you guys can see me a little better while I keep going through questions. Um, okay.
me go back. How do I get an email list from YouTube? Um, I guess you're asking how do I get people on my email list? It would be like I described those email subscribers Or those email freebies like you are putting them into and like baking them into all of your different videos and they that's how people are like getting onto your email list is by doing that, right? Um, yeah. So that's where and you can start I mean there's so many programs you can start with like Flowesk, Mailchimp and getting people onto your YouTube
channel or onto your email list sorry from your YouTube channel. It's about that time. My brain's like been talking so long. Okay, let me go back. Um I have nailed my podcast SEO and believe that my keyword search research should carry over to YouTube. I am seeing my podcast drive traffic to my email list and just transitioning to YouTube first instead of podcast first. So, I'll plan and film my YouTube video and then extract the audio for my podcast and adjust that way. Anyways, my search Still feels unsure. Um, any keyword tips and tricks there?
I've used Vid IQ and implemented the recommendations. Not too much luck. Thanks for any guidance. Yeah, I would say um if you're wanting to do more with um SEO and research with that, look into TubeBuddy. I found Vid IQ to be a little confusing to be completely honest to use. So, I've used TubeBuddy. And the key is to balance long form. Like you want long um wow, I'm like totally Blanking on what the term is, but it's like long keyword titles. Like you want your titles to be long enough where somebody can type in something
and like come across your video but not so specific that it's not something people are searching for. So the more generic you go and the more short like your titles are for example um the more competition you're going to have because there's probably going to be more people making those types of videos versus the Longer you make your title the more specific you become. the less competition you typically have, but also the less people are going to be searching that exact title. So, what I like to try to balance is like, how can I make
my title specific enough that I can find a keyword that doesn't have competition but has high volume of search traffic. Those are the types of titles I am going for. And TubeBuddy is how I analyze all of that. Um, okay, Kayla asked, "I recorded my first two videos. Huge win for me. Yay. It's so exciting. But my next one will require me to screen record. I don't have a camera on my computer to do the bubble of myself talking. Do you have any suggestions? A webcam maybe. Yeah, I mean it really depends where you want
to go here. You can use your webcam if you want to make it simple. Um you didn't mention like if you're using your smartphone or camera or anything like That, but one thing that you can um think about, there's two different ways that I've done this. I've done this with it's called Camtasia. It's a onetime fee for a program. It can record like your screen and your um camera and everything and like easy it's easier to like edit and put together. So, you could look into that. You could look into Loom. Um that one is
able to film with like your webcam and puts your face in a circle like in the bottom. You can do something Like that. A lot of times what I'll do is I'll actually record on my camera like normal like me talking and then I also screen record my screen at the very same time. So, I will go ahead and like do those two things at the same time and match them up later when I'm editing. That one is a little more complicated. I do walk you through that process in YouTube for business. I have a
tutorial and like how I match them up and all of that. Um, but those are essentially like Your main options when it comes to recording your screen. Um, oh, and Jen mentioned Descript has a free screen recorder. That is so cool. Yeah, I've never used that. Um, it would be I have looked into it. It's probably similar to like Riverside because I've looked into it and it is very similar to Camtasia. So, you could look into Dcript as well. Um, okay. Linda mentions how would we use the answer engine optimization? So, our content is offered
through chat GPT. So, really it's thinking about I mean and really the strategy that I teach with YouTube already lends itself to this which is so cool. So, if you're doing like the frameworks that I teach, like it's already going to lend itself to this, but it's said it's basically thinking how can you create content that answers people's questions. That's what people are using chat GPT for. Um, which is a slight shift from what people could be searching for, right? Someone can Search a topic without having or searching for like an answer to a question,
right? Versus with ChachiBT, it's really lending it more to answers. It's like the the very basic overview of that. Um, okay. I want to adjust my marketing strategy from podcasting to YouTube, but I'm struggling with not feeling like I'm adding a whole new thing. How do you transition from podcast to YouTube using the YouTube video as the podcast audio? Okay. I would say um it would really cuz I so I technically do have a podcast but I found it very difficult to keep up with both and so I made a shift last year to upload
just any YouTube videos where it made sense. I was repurposing onto my podcast and I see my podcast as a nurture repurposing platform just another way for them to watch my YouTube content. And so I would just go back to like the help her hub, make videos for YouTube and um put the time you were Allocating to a podcast to making your YouTube content and then just repurpose what makes sense for your podcast. That's personally what I've started with. Eventually, I might also add in like um I might also add in more podcast only episodes.
Like especially if I do like if I do a tutorial on ManyHat, for example, it doesn't really make sense to upload to a podcast, but I will um so I won't upload like YouTube videos, I won't upload the audio of that onto my Podcast. So I thought about like recording episodes specifically for my podcast when that does happen. But um yeah, I mean that's that's personally where I would start and where I've started. Um okay, Rachel asked, "What website do you use for your email list? Is it easy to sign up to create an email
list and is it a subscription cost or is there a free version when getting started?" Um so I use Flowesk and I believe there is A free version. There is at least a free trial if you go to stephaniecase.com/flowesk or it's like I have it on my website as well. I have a link to Flowesk. If you go there, um, you it'll give you a free trial and you can try it out. I know a lot of people if you're really not wanting to pay at all for a subscription, you can use something like Mailchimp,
but it's going to be a little bit harder to use in my opinion. It's a Little bit um more of a learning curve to use it. And I find fluids just to be really incredible. So um it's really great. I find flus to be really great for beginners if you're like just starting and it is lower cost than a lot of options out there. So, do people need multiple YouTube channels to take your content put through AI from multiple languages to hit people demographics internationally? Interesting. So, you're wondering like Take the same video and turn
it into multiple languages. I don't think there's a way to like do that automatically. I know YouTube is moving either they've already implemented this or they're moving toward this because I saw this recently where like the like just like on Instagram you know how they're have they have closed captions that can change based on language based on what you say and it can also change like the way you Talk based on the language it's very weird it's like with AI and stuff but I think YouTube is moving in that direction as well as far as
I know I don't know of a way to upload the same content um that's that's the most I know about that. Um, okay. Shantel asked, um, I think this was a followup. Let's see. Um, okay. Question is, how do you make editing simple? I've jumped between Da Vinci Resolve and iMovie suggestions. Um, yeah, I would recommend if you're doing a lot on your own, maybe look into Descript and see if it's something that would make editing yourself a lot more simple because it does a lot of those like it cuts out like word gaps and
filler words and stuff a lot more quickly than doing it like manually. So, I found that to be a game changer when I'm editing myself. U Melissa asked, "I have a ton of Loom Videos. Would those be good to repurpose?" I found that if you aren't creating with YouTube in mind, like the structure and the video from the beginning, it's going to be really hard to have like just re-uploading and repurposing like past lives you've done or Loom videos or even like past podcasts. It It's a lot harder to get found when you don't have
a YouTube first strategy. So, I would recommend doing more of a YouTube first content And just move forward with that. Put your time towards that. Brenda asked to use a teleprompter. Um, I do not I go off of outlines. So, I will outline my video, have my main points, and um use that to go off of and just keep it very conversational. Um, Shamil asks, "What did you Oh, that was about dcript." Yeah, I use dcript to edit my videos. Um, Beck asked, "How do you take an idea and come up with content for a
long form Video?" Um, that will be enough like for 10 minutes that is not enga or that is engaging and not just fluff. I would say that it's I think it's a lot easier than you think, especially if you get into topics you're like, "Oh, yeah, I do have something to say on that." or if it aligns with what you're already doing the way you serve people, like if you're already doing services on something, if you're already doing um making a course, making digital products, like you Probably have a lot more to say than you
think to um Yeah. So, I just I come up with an idea and then typically I want at least three main points in my videos and I'll come up with whatever those three main points are and literally that's talking through each of those points for like two to three minutes because when you consider your intro, your outro, two to three minutes every point. So, it's really when you think about it that way, it's really not um You'll be surprised. My students are always surprised when they start filming. They're like, "Oh, wait. That actually was a
lot easier than I thought." Um, okay. Let's see. Lots of conversation about email marketing platforms. Yeah, Kit is free until a certain number of subscribers. U Mailchimp does have lower open rates. Yeah, they probably don't have as much to help with deliverability and stuff. So, that's something to consider. Okay. Um, okay. We have a few more questions. Oh, long tail. So, that's what I was trying to say earlier with the the titles. Longtail titles. Thank you. That is what I was trying to say earlier and I could not think of what that was. Okay, let
me go. I'm sorry. I'm trying to find my space again or my place again. Um, let's see. Can you talk us through finding an editor? I've tried finding people for my following, but the going rates for editors was dollars. Yeah, the lowest I've seen like if you're going through like an agency, it's probably going to be at least $250 to $300 per video. That's on like the lower end and it goes up from there. I've also hired in the past like hired um employees or like assistants and have like just let them learn editing and
that also can be Helpful. I also have had my husband in the past do some editing for a while. He learned how to do it. Um, but yeah, so it's it's looked different different seasons, but yeah, it's definitely more of an investment. I feel like I do feel like I love when people start out editing their own videos though because one thing I have found is that when you edit your own videos, you actually get better on camera a lot faster because you are seeing like the mistakes you Make, how many times you say um
how many times you like look down or look off to the side and realize like the things that you can do to make it better and how it makes editing way easier the better you get on camera. So, but yeah, that can be really tough. Um, someone asked or Brenda asked, "You wanted to change your YouTube channel handle. Would it cause any problems?" I don't know of any problems it would Cause. If you want to change it, I'd go ahead and change it. Do you use AI to help with any of the content, such as
creating emails or helping write your scripts? I do somewhat at this point. Um, I do a lot because YouTube, I've been doing it for so long. It comes so naturally and even my outlines have gotten shorter and shorter. I can just like here's the title. Here's the three main things. Here's one or two things under each of Them that I want to talk about and make sure I mention. And that's pretty much as complicated as I make it. Um, but I so I don't like really script out a ton. And the reason I don't too
is because YouTube especially now has become even more it's trending more towards becoming conversational versus like having popups and graphics and transitions and being super tight. Like people just want you to feel like they're sitting down and hearing from a real human. So I I Personally don't like do a lot with scripting. Oh, the question was about AI. I do occasionally especially if I'm like unsure. I'm like I have this idea for a video but what should I like touch on in the video? And I actually have a custom AI assistant that will help me
come up with those ideas for what to like it doesn't tell me what to say, but it says like here are the main things you should probably address. Um, Can YouTube work without freebies and affiliates? Does it does it need this elaborate funnel with so many components? Um, it's actually the funnels are very simple. It doesn't need to be complicated, but my advice would be if you want a business, you need to have an email list. Like even if you're not doing YouTube, like an email list is something that you own. Nobody can take that
from you. And that's been like something that I've been a huge Proponent of for years. and um so whether or not you have a YouTube channel like having an email list is so incredibly important and allows you to reach your people without relying on like algorithms and things like that. And um so I really do recommend and if you look into like when you're starting your email list, it's a lot easier to get someone to join your email list if you offer them free in exchange something free in exchange for their Email address than just
saying like join my newsletter, right? you're going to have a lot more success with that, which is why we lean into that so much. And like I you saw like in the examples for my videos. It's not that I'm creating a new freebie for every video or I have like 50 different freebies I've made. I really do rotate through the same like three to five freebies over and over and over and over and over. So once you make it, it's really not it's really pretty Simple. Stephanie asked, "How do we attain the affiliate link? Do
you need to reach out to the company directly? Is there a standard process to become an affiliate? Typically, I look into like the companies that I would love partnering with that I am already genuinely using and can recommend to my audience. And I just look into if they have an affiliate program. Typically, you have to apply for it. And the ones that pay the most Aren't going to be like LTK or anything like that. It's going to be like ones you directly apply and work with the company. So, like I've I'm in the affiliate program
for like Flowesk, ManyHat, Kajjabi. Those have been really big ones for me. Um, okay. I'm gonna try to We have so many questions. I love this so much. Um, I'm going to try to rapidfire the rest of them and go get through as many as we can. Let me go back up. Okay. Oh, I lost my spot again. Okay. So, question. Should the So, the call to action shouldn't be like subscriber or follow, but more channel specific. Yeah, I really don't mention like subscribe to my channel or follow, but I am very specific to the
call to action is to grow my business, right? And that's to get on my email list and buy my offers. So, that's what I focus on with my YouTube channel. Um, the name of the mic I mentioned earlier was Road Video Mic Me and they have a lightning port version and a is it USBC? Yes, USBC. Wow, words are like leaving my mind today. But the you can either plug like depending on what port you use on the bottom of your phone. Most of them now are not lightning port. Um I believe I'm not mixing
those up. But yeah, they have like different versions too depending on your phone. Um where do you host your freebies? A link from Canva um or something else that was from Nelly. So I do it I do most of it with Ves. You just upload freebies directly into there. Can I sell a $17 ebook under each video if it's relevant to the video along with the freebie? Totally. Yeah, you could totally do that. What I have found works a little bit better is if you have the freebie, like if you want to add more to
it, um, and add more steps to it, you could have when someone opts into your freebie, you off like then pitch them your $17 ebook and That's going to give you more traffic typically onto your $17 product versus just linking it directly below. Does that make sense? So, typically more people will click and opt into your freebie than would just click on a paid product. Um, so that's the the way I typically recommend for digital product. Does the SEO on a video actually matter? Like the caption and the title is mainly for clickbait purpose or
do the titles and tagline actually matter? Um, that's From Nelly and it does matter a lot. So your title and your thumbnail primarily are what's going to decide if someone clicks your video? And that's your um thumbnail click-through rate. And the higher that is, like the higher number of people that see your video and then click through and actually watch it. The higher that number, the more YouTube is going to show your content to more people. So, it is very, very important. You do want it to relate to what your Video actually is and not
be clickbait though. Okay, let's see. Okay, so we have a question from Brandit. What would you suggest if you're doing all the things you suggested, but it's been low and it's been over a year? How to get more reach? Um, that's where I do go more in depth on this in YouTube for business. Okay, so there's Just so many different things that you can do. But I would go back to what I mentioned earlier with look at what's worked even if it's just little little upswings, right? I would do more experimentation. I would get better
on camera. So my like if your retention rate is lower than 30%, think about how you can make your videos more engaging. um and get better on camera. Think about different videos you can make for your audience. Those are probably the first Things I would think about without seeing your channel. There are so many other things you could from like thumbnails, the click-through rate, um could be like the topics. Like there's so many things that it could be, but those are be the first things that I would think about. Michelle asked, "I'm struggling between two
niches. They're kind of related. One is how to find your artistic style. The other is how to find your niche on YouTube. Should I have two separate channels or merge into one? I would say if they're the same target audience, I would just keep it on one channel. If they're two different audiences completely, I would do two. But I will say it's a lot easier to grow one channel than it is to try to spread yourself then with two. So, I would just I would encourage you to think about like what ultimately is going to
align with the business you're building and go For that instead. Um, Laura asked, "My question is about being in the holistic health space. On social media, I don't have to be super careful about the language I use, but I'm nervous that YouTube is more strict and will censor my language more. Would it be a good fit if I'm trying to help people get healthier with an affiliate product? I'm sure I'll have to be more careful with my words." You'll have to research exactly like the whatever words You want to use. Um, but there is a
way like you can on now on YouTube you can check like if content is more for an 18 plus audience and that's strictly like if the topic or something just isn't like made for kids, right? So I know you can do that and that will help with like not getting a strike against your channel essentially. But um that's something you'd have to do more research specifically because I just don't know like what specific topics and stuff you Want to talk about. um and do some research, maybe even ask Chat GBT like what based on your
topic and the things you would want to share. But I've had I mean I've had some students with niches that are more sensitive topics and they still do well on YouTube. So I I think it Yeah, I think you would be fine. Um you could find ways to like share your message without it getting stried. Okay. Does getting monetized impact performance? Before I was monetized, my Views were high. and after my views are low. Um, I have found this to not be the case. It probably has more to do with your content. I know it's
like not fun to hear, but um, I have not found that to be the case at all once you get monetized. Okay, then Nelly mentioned the mic sold out on Amazon, but yeah, I just bought another one I think from Best Buy, so you can look it up on different places and see if you can find the mic. Um, Yay. Awesome. I'm so glad you guys loved it. I know a couple of you have just said that you have to jump off. I'm going to go ahead and wrap up here. I got through all the
questions that were in there. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with me. Thank you to everybody who jumps into YouTube for business, who has jumped into YouTube for business. So incredibly grateful
