What Does A 19 Year Old Millionaire Spend His Money On? (Justified Expenses)

so guys I just thought I would shoot this quick video for you on justified expenses now it's funny at the last murder mastermind I kept going on and on and on about all these things that I wouldn't spend money on and then I started talking about justified expenses things that I spend a ton of money on and I'm happy to spend money on and I thought I'd share that with you guys in this field and not to give you a bit of context to where I have my company set up is I have a limited

company here in the UK and I think that's roughly the equivalent of like an S corp or C Corp in the US other places I don't know I know and holiness like a BV I think many ways my company's money and my money is not the same thing so to give you some context all the money goes into my company it gets taxed at the corporate level which is 19% and then I give myself some money I pay myself very very little from the company so I pay myself I think like seven hundred two pounds

a month salary and that's to avoid personal income tax on your based on your salary because we're just basically personal income tax because here in the UK it's like eleven thousand pounds tax-free allowance but then you also have national intro so at seven hundred two pounds I avoid tax-free allowance or I have my tax-free allowance and I avoid national trim so that's seven hundred two pounds I pay myself salary a month that's monthly by the way basically that's just net and then everything else gets paid in dividends now to give it a context or some

more context and one of the things about me is actually love corporate structure I love tax I love like learning about it and especially everything that I'm talking about here you know I don't have a weird like corporate structure with offshore accounts and all this [ __ ] like this is all just pretty standard stuff you don't have to like do anything shady on your hand this is basically just making sure that your tax efficient and lean but you know I want to tell you this before we get into the justified expenses simply because you

know to understand what I think is a justified expense one of the pillars is whether I can pay for it through my company or whether I have to pay to her personally now from April 2018 to April 29 I paid myself a hundred thousand pounds pre-tax and I ended up with roughly around 80 grand because they said I got quite a bit through or quite a bit you know I got my tax-free allowance and then dividends up to a certain point or you know you're not taxed that much now keep in mind that is after

I paid 19 percent at the corporate level so yeah my point is me personally I actually don't spend much money I think the only thing that I spend money on that I just love is jewelry so I love watches you know bangles bracelets stuff like that like I like I like fashion in general but you won't see me where I'm like you know $5,000 like hoodies and stuff like that like everything I have you know apart from my coats my my jewelry stuff like that is pretty pretty cheap but here are my main pillars when

I am looking at a justified expense number one can I pay for it through the company because if I can pay for it through the company then a couple things happen number one is I can actually get v80 back so in the UK here it is 20 percent so number one I can get V eighty back that's the first thing the second thing is does it make me warm first of all the second thing is does it automate a portion of my life that's a sec the second thing I look at and number three is

doesn't make me want to work more okay so this is what I mean by that now probably the best way to actually tell you what I mean is just to show you a couple examples of justified expenses that some people would think are ridiculous but for me it's like yeah no [ __ ] like that totally makes sense now before we get into this video some of you guys may know my girlfriend Natasha she is like she's actually staying in mine for like a couple weeks while she's finding her brand-new apartment she's up apartment shopping

here in London so this place has never been Messier ever and it's funny there's actually like a space missing right there like that dining table should be there but it's used there as a desk and I'm actually getting a new desk in which is another justified expense which I'm gonna show you in just a second so yeah if you guys know me you guys know I keep my apartment [ __ ] and span like super clean I just right now super clean and very minimalistic it's just right now it's totally all over the place so

let's hop into my new office which is actually still in the process of being built as I said excuse the mess I'm trying to flip this DJI Osmo around excuse the mess because I said Natasha's got her stuff here for a little bit so first example of a justified expense is this thing so this is a Herman Miller let me pull this up right here this is a Herman Miller Aaron I believe that's how it's pronounced Aaron chair I'm just gonna get that in focus so yeah that this is a Herman Miller now this thing

is roughly around a thousand pounds so you know I guess you could say quite expensive I will actually went to Herman Miller and you know try it on a bunch of different chairs I was actually gonna get something called the embody which is apparently amazing for your spine and whatnot but this actually turned out to be just as comfortable I mean even more comfortable for me it was roughly the same price but look most people to spend a thousand pounds on an office chair would think that is absolutely ridiculous but what are you doing most

of the time you are sitting you are working so you know for me to spend a thousand pounds on this is a hundred percent a justified expense in my eyes you know sitting down on this and you know just being able to work on this remember one of the pillars for me is does it make me more excited to work now obviously this thing apart from being you know amazing for my back and whatnot it just makes me more excited to work you know it makes me excited to know that I'm sitting in a chair

that's for fall you know I don't need to think about it I don't need you know I have a lot less pains and aches and stuff like that so for me a thousand pounds number one cannot buy it through the company yes I can so that means I get v80 back all right so that's already 20 percent number two the reason it's so the reason I spend so little money through me personally is because when it goes for my company to me I lose roughly around 40% in dividend tax after I've already been taxed 20%

of the corporate level so for me any expense that you have has not been taxed alright because you only get taxed on your profit so any expenses that you have number one are not taxed so that's number one and can I purchase it through the company yes I can because this is my office chair so this is a hundred percent a company expense and number two doesn't make me more excited to work as if I'm more excited to work then you know I'm gonna drive my company forward and achieve my goal for this year which

is 4 million pounds so yeah you know this 100 percent if you do not have a office chair that you are excited to sit in that is you know you're excited to sit in and that is comfortable and whatnot just go ahead and invest in one so the next thing is or the next sort of justified expense is this thing right here when you put this back into the set guys I apologize for the mess my place is usually so so like minimalistic and clean and whatnot it's just I've been moving in setting up so

many things up etc etc so the next thing is this right here which is a Kindle Oasis so this is also has a 3G and it's also the 32 gigabytes no the reason to me this is a justified expense is number one can i buy it through the company yes I can buy it through the company because what am i reading on here I'm reading books like good - great I'm reading accounting books I'm reading books on psychology I'm reading books that have a direct correlation to my business and now obviously for me not only

to have my agency I have grow your agency you know the the education company you know we're currently going through a rebrand right now and and moving all the online programs to grow your agency but you know so for me this is also research and development you know reading books right here I actually make community cliffnotes so I actually take all the books I read and make notes for my customers so you know I guess that's another way that's it's it's an cents but you know if we look back at the pillar is it expense

yes that means I get v80 back that also means it pushes down my overall tax that I have to pay so that's number one number two doesn't make me more excited to work well maybe no work technically but it makes me more excited to read you know I absolutely love reading on that thing I love the fact that you know I can log online and then go to the cloud the Kindle Cloud and from there I can create the community CliffsNotes and then from there I print my community cliff notes and you know because the

thing is a lot of time when you read a book you just forget it so I love reading the printout and then seeing my notes on there etc etc so this makes me excited to read this makes me excited to work and I said you know the cool thing is I keep this thing lying around and it's just easier than a book you know I used to read I read a real physical book one book a week for three years alright so I love I love physical books but this thing is awesome because you know

I could just lounge on the couch it's currently a Saturday so it's currently a Saturday so I'm not working or anything today so I can just kind of lounge on the couch and relax and whatnot so that is another justified expense now if we come back here let's move on to this next thing now this is a Mont Blanc ballpoint pen so this is what I use for writing and everything like that this pen cost roughly around 350 pounds I've bought a couple of my friends well actually I say friends business associates crap I bought

a coat like two business associates as pens as gifts as well but this pen is roughly around 350 pounds now you might be saying you man why the hell do you need a 350 pound pen well I don't to be honest but this makes me more excited to work you know this makes me more excited to work this makes me more excited to write you know I do a lot of writing whether that be you know literally mapping out a funnel or my funnel or clients policy and we're breaking point is writing down ideas for

the next versions of the goryo agency programs whether that be just writing down notes when I'm on a sales call with a potential client this makes you more excited so for me can I put this with a company yes quite clearly this is a pen for business use number two and number three so that's point number one point number three is you know does this make me more excited to work answers yes now the next thing is this right here so I look so many places to find this thing this thing is I look for

and we don't really get that here on the London so match to get an American shipment actually got like 500 cans the quarry just shipped over it now for me Lacroix you know before I use just a drink sample you know Fiji blah blah and like look this is actually one thing that I can't expense so this I haven't been able to company expense or maybe I can but I said I'd stay on the safe side of things but for me you know drinking water I think pretty much every single person watching this is probably

you know dehydrated and doesn't realize it so for me you know drinking water sometimes can feel like a pain so that's actually why I love to have Lacroix and the Corps is just the best test at tasting ones of also the sparkling waters I've tried and has the most flavors and stuff so really really the reason I drank Lefroy is literally just because it brings a little bit of enjoyment for me to drink water you know and that's literally the only reason why so unfortunate this one doesn't pass that number one sort of got that

first point that I'm looking at which is you know connect company expense it because I can't company expensive number two does it automate something in my life - no it doesn't but number three does it make me more excited to work yes because when I work I drink Lacroix and you know that just makes me more excited to drink water and you know that's something that I know I struggle with probably most people do as well is just drinking water now the next justified expense is actually the thing that I'm using right is the thing

that I'm using right here now this is a DJI Osmo pocket this got recommended to me so this is actually what I'm using to shoot right here and I actually have this on the selfie mode so you can see I actually have this on selfie mode like that now my setup before before I started using this and I'm still definitely gonna use it you see and so my videos is this which is an a7 r3 you know a lot of people ask I have a bunch of different lenses for it I have a photo video

a background so I know a thing or two about creating cool content but you know this thing all in all costs roughly around 5,000 pounds yeah with the lens lenses like two and a half K the body I think at the time was three thousand two hundred so five thousand five hundred somewhere that's a very very expensive camera and you know this is still considering where my company's revenue is at the moment monthly on a monthly basis this was a great this is a great great investment but my point is the reason this thing that

I'm recording with right now the DJI Osmo is justified expensive number one can I business expense it yes because I use it to make content you know they use it for content marketing and an organic marketing so yes totally business expense so I get the sales tax back on that number two does it automate something in my life no it doesn't unfortunately but number three doesn't make me more excited to work yes it does because a long time if I was just shooting a simple video like this where I don't need it to be over

the top or anything I would have to set this up then I'd connect my small HD monitor to the top so I could actually see myself then I'd plug myself in with a mic and stuff like that and then you know I'd send it over to my editor whatever he would just chop and change it thumbnail a with this I can just shoot awesome 4k video it's a stabilizer as well I think this thing costs like 350 bucks I bought it when I was in LA and it just makes my life a lot easier so

justified expense number one and said I can business expensive number two it doesn't owe me anything my life number three it does make me more excited to shoot videos and just kind of take a lot of pain out of it so the next thing and has I said guys like I'm moving everything around this place is a total mess compared to what it's usually like I usually I don't have wires or anything anywhere but we actually have to go under the desk for this so let me flip this around and show you so this is

something called the iRobot Roomba now what this thing does is this thing actually cleans your house so this thing cleans your house and I think that thing cost me roughly around five hundred pounds now number one I couldn't expense it because it is Jimmy for personal use you know if I had an office and it was in the office then I could do that but you know I can actually expense a portion of my apartment as an office because to be honest like the funny thing is my house shows you everything you need to know

about my priorities I don't know if you see but I have one workstation and you know when Natasha leaves and obviously gets her you know she's just apartment hunting put in an offer on a place so you know when she moves out that's actually staying that's gonna be my second workstation and I've got a new desk coming in for that so I have a wonderful full-blown office room I have in another extra workstation so you know this place really tells you everything you need to know about my priorities and how I set up my house

you know I'd be happy to do a full apartment tour and just show you how optimize the [ __ ] out of everything you know my sleep clean you know and that kind of brings us back to the iRobot Roomba which is number one I can expense it because it is for personal use number two does it automate something in my life yes it does okay this thing automates me my life because when I leave at 6:45 a.m. in the morning with Billy that thing actually isn't too loud I can actually tell and by the

way before I used to think that Alexa was the stupidest [ __ ] ever I'm like why the hell would anyone or just rang actually just had a package come through funnily enough it is a new Kindle Oasis I yeah for all my employees and stuff like that I I decked them out with like I try things personally and if I love them I you know as a company sort of complimentary gift I give him gifts so this is actually for Kieran who's a prog manager grow your agencies so yeah just got him a Kindle

Oasis I'm gonna give that when I see him next here at the place but um back to the Roomba so actually got a Amazon Alexa and I used to think this thing was the stupidest [ __ ] I'm like why the hell would anyone want to complicate their life with this extra ship but this actually controls a lot of my lights and we'll get on to the end just a second but the cool thing is when I leave the house that's 6:45 in the morning to go for a personal training with such a personal training

session I can actually tell Alexa to turn on that the iRobot thing and then it will turn it on and then it'll like basic clean the entire floor and I have wood floors so it works perfectly it'll clean all the floors and stuff like that for an hour and a half and then by the time I'm back all the floors are clean you know it's not perfect but it gets the job done like 7080 percent and it just ensures that like there's not as much dust around and stuff like that so yeah that thing I

can't company expense it it does obviously I mean I can't company expense it I was gonna say it doesn't make me want to work more well actually in all fairness if you have a cleaner place less dusty place then you will want to work more so number one can i expense it no I can't does it make me does it automate something in my life yes it does and number three doesn't make me want to work more actually yeah in fact definitely it could so you know that is another justified expense right there now if

we come back into this new office that I've started to build out and by the way guys sorry about the clicks I have to triple click to actually flip this thing around so here I have a stand-up desk as I said I'm gonna be like sorting out all the cable management and stuff later I just literally got all the stuff in today or sorry yesterday but this is stand-up desk so you just press this and I still haven't set up the you can set up actual like defaults but see you can press down and then

now it'll come and I can sit down and work as such you know probably didn't get that right but I can come in and work and I obviously I've got my really nice Herman Miller chair and then once I'm done or once I'm done or let's just say you know I'm feeling a bit like you know when you just sit in a chair are starting to feel a little bit tired and whatnot that I can just bring this up and now it turns into a standing desk so this thing was around like 350 pounds this

tabletop is just from like Ikea but this thing was around 350 pounds 350 pounds on Amazon can i expense it yes does it automate something in my life I don't think so well I guess you could have gone one of those whiny things and then the table comes up so I guess maybe a number three doesn't make me more excited to work yes it does because it gives me the flexibility to sit or stand now one thing I would say with all of these things is I try them out and if I don't like them

that I don't use them you know so if in a month from now it actually turns out these standing desk is a distraction or I don't enjoy using it whatever then I'm just gonna throw it out and just get a normal desk you know so none of this stuff I'm attached to a lot of stuff I just try and see if I like it see if it works and then we go from there and that is exactly the same with this next thing which is you know I decked out the house with this you light

system now keep in mind today is a Saturday so I'm not working so you know I've got on some like cooler lights and stuff like that but um you know I have some may see these are like some Hugh play lights behind and that's what gives this the computer kind of like this cool glow and then I have another nap there obviously it's daytime right now so it just you know it won't really show and then as I said excuse the mess but I've got a strip a strip light right below that right behind there

and then I also have it in in the living room as I said I get a lot of natural light in my house I barely ever have to have a lights on and even the one in in the office I don't really need the light on it just it's just there just cuz now notice what happens when I go into my kitchen the lights just turn on and once again that's the hue system so that is that right there as you can see so all of this you know this is my workspace and stuff like

that so number one can i expense it yes can expense it because you know this is my workstation so I need lighting for my workstation etc etc can i expense it yes I can a number two does it automate something in my life well in fact the ones in the kitchen does because you know with that thing right there it just automates light turning on now you might think that's like stupid or whatever but look in the morning when you know I feel like with it when especially in London it gets a little cold sometimes

you know in the morning when I'm cold I have my personal training session I have a long day ahead I like coming in the lights turn on automatically it sets the right color temperature so at night I have it to a warmer color temperature very very warm it looks almost orange II almost ready and then that way that helps optimize my sleep because I'm not getting any blue lights I've got my blue light blocking glasses etc etc so another justified expense I think is quite expensive to deck the entire house out which you totally don't

need to do is that I just can go overboard because I can expense it and stuff like that I think I spent maybe like 1.5 K total but fine enough with the hue light system is with the hue light system you spend a lot of money up front but then because the lamps last like 25 years or something you know you're actually saving a lot of money well some of them do something last like five years or something but my point is you're actually saving money in the long term now once again this is another

thing that I'm gonna try out in the house and if I don't like it I'm just gonna remove it you know so if I don't like it and actually I find it's a distraction stuff like that which I think it would be if I didn't have like you know obviously I've got Amazon Alexa so I can control with my voice and I can always just you know use this like remote and this turns it on so you can see right here if I turn it on and turn it all the way up then I've got

like these cool lights I've got a lamp there I've got lights behind the monitor it just makes it more like striking to work at and then one behind the TV which I basically never use it anyways most the time I only use this to like air play things up on there but oh well that thing just sits idle there so yeah that's uh that is the hue light system that I've installed I still haven't made up my mind on that yet as to whether I like it or not but that is another justified expense for

me now moving back into the office again and guys there are just so many of these things that I can think of so I don't know if you want to see maybe if you want to see that like home tour where I show you my entire optimization stuff like that of what I do my house let me know now this next thing is is that the mind the cables and stuff like that I'm like redoing the house now so the reason I'm actually redoing the house or not redoing it but adding all this cool stuff

in is was is because when I came back from Bali in LA I was gonna move into a new office but I actually just hired two more people out in LA so I actually have more employees in America than I do in UK now so just didn't make sense to get people in the UK so yeah that's kinda I was a bit disappointed that I am I should get the office so I'm like you know what I'm just gonna make my home office spec it out spend like ten thousand pounds and just do it that

way so this next thing is actually right under here so I don't know if I press this this is that amplify so this is amplify so this is like the actual router thing and then around the house at different points there are like these mesh points so there are basically like extenders and stuff like that like I'll show you one right here it is yeah right there so extenders and stuff like that no before I came back to or before my travels and stuff like that my desk used to be just right here because I

like it because you know there's a lot of like natural light that comes in and stuff like that you know I'm honestly I was looking for new apartments as well when I found out I couldn't get the office and I was looking at very very expensive prices because for me my home's like the most important thing because I work from home and I couldn't find anything even four times the price of this place I couldn't find anything nicer so yeah I'm love my place I'm really happy that I'm staying here but uh yeah so you

know back to the justified expenses you know the amplifi box when I was sitting there when I was sitting there before I would get like maybe 20 megabytes download 20 megabytes upload even though I was paying for like 300 you know because of Wi-Fi and you know I also have really you know my walls are like basically like concrete like brick like it's I basically have like a sub-basement apartment so I obviously have a really nice huge garden you know with like astroturf awesome for like you know parties and when I do actually like have

people around and socialize and stuff like that but yeah there's I love the layout of my apartment stuff like that but one of the issues is that the walls are really like concrete and stuff like that I just really like I don't know like I have a lot of connectivity issues so this amplifier box once again cost around like 350 pounds but my Wi-Fi speed before was 20 there and now it has gone up to 80 right so that's a 4x increase and then in my actual office office without wired I don't know how it

happens I've tried I've tested so many times but I actually pay for 300 megabytes download because it's the fastest I can get if I could get one gig I'd get one gig but that's another thing always pay as much as you can for Wi-Fi because we're all you know entrepreneurs digital marketers need to use their computers for everything so yeah in here I get 362 380 download speeds which as I said I don't know how because I only pay for 300 but you know and that's Wi-Fi so that is another justified expense I can expense

it because once again I use it I use an Internet for work and then number 2 does it automate something you can automate a lot of stuff on but I'm gonna say you can you know automate something and the number 3 does it make me more excited to work yes it does because I get faster internet speeds now the last thing I will leave you with is this desk right here I'm just trying to triple tap this thing to flip so this is a rachet blah blah I hope I'm pronouncing rush yeah I hope I'm

pronouncing rice but this is basically it's the 4 teeth desk so I've actually got this being made it's being made in Italy right now it's being made in Italy right now and it's gonna take like eight weeks and it's gonna come and it's actually gonna be right along that back wall where that white one is and that white one is gonna go back to being a dining table as it used to be so yeah that's what I've got there now that desk cost roughly around five thousand pounds it's incredible desk I don't know if you

saw it but it's it's honestly like it's such a beautiful desk now obviously on that desk is my monitor and that's where I'm gonna be that's like my second workstation so sometimes I want to use the 4k monitors sometimes I want to use ultra wide you know to be honest most the time I'm just gonna use a 4k the other setups mainly gonna be for show or sometimes I have employees come over and stuff like that usually on a weekly basis or at least the ones in London for example kuren he's over weekly so you

can just plug in his laptop and work from there but that four teeth desk cost roughly around five thousand pounds which you you know most people think is ridiculous better than a day peni expensive yes I can because it's for work purposes it does it automates something no but does it make me excited to work yes it does and I think it's important to have things in your house that are like this is why I think it's so important to have like you know overspend or not overspend but like really spend a good amount of

money on where you live especially if you work from home and then in your home you know just have really cool pieces and things that make you excited I don't you know you like if you saw the desk it's just incredibly incredibly beautiful like it's you know it's just yeah it's a really [ __ ] sick desk so yeah it's for me that's a justified expense now you know I guess kind of to end off this video start looking at the things you're spending money on if you're spending money on things like and also I

mentioned things here for example spending out you know 1.5 K on some lights you know a new light system and spending six hundred pounds on you know a [ __ ] robot vacuum and then spending like you know five thousand pounds on a desk keep in mind with all of this stuff is I'm at a point right now where my company revenue it's actually gone down the last one to two months but on average it averages around a quarter million a month right so 200k a month profit is what we were doing select Ober november/december

etc etc so $200,000 a month now this year we're switching to pounds because it's always been a confusion because you know we're based in the UK but most of our customers at least four grow your agency which is you know most of the audience that I'm talking to here we also is in dollars but then in our agency we invoice in pounds so you know it gets a little confusing but this year we're sickening two pounds but yeah you know we were doing two hundred thousand dollars profit so keep in mind I'm in a very

different position than most people um you know if I was only making 10k a month or something I wouldn't spend on you know five grand desk or anything like that it just you know you got a look at how much you make and stuff like that and it's all you know it's all according you know it's all according to how much you make and it's all subjective and stuff like that but you know one thing that I would do and I would challenge you to do coming to the end of this video is just take

a look at your life and take a look at where you're spending your money and start asking yourself is it justified expense you know for me sometimes I'll splash out I'll buy myself some nice stuff but most the time I don't really buy myself expensive designer clothes I like to buy myself expensive clothes that are actually weight made well but once again clothing and fashion something that's you know that's where I like to spend my money I don't have any super cars you know I people ask me all the time even why don't you have

a super car and that could be a video a topic for another video but I don't have a super car because I live in London insurance would be ridiculous and the issue with having a super car yes I could buy a McLaren with you know six weeks earnings net but the thing is once you have in McLaren is you have to use the McLaren you know once you have a Ferrari you have to [ __ ] to use the Ferrari that's why you know I've had so many people ask me like oh why don't you

join this private member's Club and stuff like that you know five thousand pound a year for you to use nothing yeah I could join a members Club you know and network with all these but the thing is then you have to use the members club you know and so I never want to take on things where I actually have a life where I feel like an obligation to use it so you know apart from that I guess sort of clothing and stuff like that that's where I spend I like to spend money apart from that

I don't want to spend money anywhere else unless I can expend and in that case if I can expensive that I'll splash out and I'll kind of decide whether it's worth it or not for example flying business class for me I'll decide whether it's worth it based on that trip if I can fly business and you know this is still touching on the justified expenses thing if I can fly business and I can sleep for eight nine hours on that flight or maybe even seven six hours before I get to my destination whereas in economy

I know I'm gonna get zero sleep and that means I have higher performance for two-three days I look at the price of the ticket I sort of figure out okay is me performing at a high level for two three days a higher level for two three days is that you know will I make more than the price of the ticket most the time the answer is yes and when the answer's no then I just fly economy you know so my point is you guys start looking at these expenses and just start asking yourself you know

I would recommend you use those three sort of criteria that I use which is number one can you business expense it number two does it automate something in your life so you don't even need to do it anymore and number three doesn't make you more excited to work because most of the stuff I buy is literally for me it's it's about biohacking it's about you know being more excited to work it's about just like overall work output I don't buy expensive designer stuff or not very much I don't buy very much designer expensive stuff especially

considering the amount of money I make you know I'm very very frugal in that sense because I know that that doesn't mean I'm gonna be more excited to work I'm gonna get bored of it the next day but whereas if I buy a stand-up desk that's something that for the next you know however many years has it carry through or you know sure I spend 5,000 pounds on a desk but every single time I come into my living room I'm like Jesus Christ I love where I work and I love my workstation and stuff like
