while their party gathers in Chicago vice president Harris and Governor walls are heading about 90 miles North to Milwaukee today where they will attend a campaign rally this is Harris's seventh visit to the state this year and her third since becoming the Democratic Presidential nominee CBS News campaign reporter Nidia kassos has been following the Harris campaign for us she's in Milwaukee ahead of the event Nidia what's the significance of Harris's visit to Milwaukee today what's she hoping to accomplish good morning well vice president Harris will be making her way to Milwaukee Wisconsin later this afternoon
and Harris and her campaign have emphasized that as they make campaign stops throughout this campaign year in 2024 their message and their intent is going to be one communicate who she is what she's been able to do as part of the Biden Harris Administration but most importantly what she has in her agenda as a presidential campaign as a presidential candidate and what she's hoping to obtain if she were to become president of the United States so this is her message but also given that it's only been about four weeks since she became the presidential candidate
haris in her campaign have also expressed that they have a lot of work to do and to really make sure that they're communicating with voters and that they're meeting voters where they're at so that they are well aware of who she is and what kind of vision is it that she has for the country but above all um Harris has also expressed that her intent is also to communicate to voters and lay out a contrast between herself and that of former president Donald Trump niia kavos thank you we'll have much more on the Trump Vance
