[Music] Revelation 13:15 to1 17 and he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast that the image of the Beast should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed and he causeth all both small and great rich and poor free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads and that no man might buy or sell save he that had the Mark or the name of the Beast or the number of his name in September 2024 the
world stood at the crossroads of history with the UN Summit of the future a pivotal event that aimed to address Global challenges and improve International governance systems held on September the 22nd to the 23rd this Summit was not merely a forum for discussion but a key step in accelerating the goals set forth by the United Nations agenda 2030 though this Gathering may have seemed focused on Noble aspirations such as tackling inequality climate change and geopolitical instability to the Discerning believer it carried far deeper implications could it be that the Antichrist is revealing himself through these
initiatives could it be that these events are laying the foundation for the Fulfillment of Prophecy foretold in the 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation the summit revolved around the adoption of a pact for the future a proposed framework for strengthening multilateralism and promoting Global cooperation on the surface The Pact aimed to improve governance accelerate progress on issues like poverty and environmental degradation and promote peace and Justice however it is crucial to view this Summit and agenda 2030 through the lens of scripture agenda 2030 launched by the United Nations in 2015 outlines 17 sustainable development
goals meant to address the world's most pressing challenges these goals aim to eliminate poverty reduce inequality mitigate climate change and Foster Peace by the year 2030 yet beneath these well-intentioned goals there lies a disturbing reality whether you are from a wealthy or poor country your life will be affected by decisions made by people whom you did not elect people far removed from your nation's leadership who wield tremendous power over the future direction of the world we must recognize the unelected nature of many of the individuals driving these Global initiatives while some are democratically chosen by
their countries many are not these individuals many of whom you and I have no influence over are making decisions that will alter the very fabric of society in every nation these decisions are being made in the name of creating a better world yet when viewing their goals through the lens of biblical prophecy they are leading us directly into the 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation it's almost as though an invisible hand is guiding these Global efforts bringing the world into alignment with the prophetic events described in Revelation 13 this is no coincidence the groundwork
is being laid for a global system where a single powerful leader foretold in scripture as the Antichrist will rise to power controlling the global economy governance and even worship at the core of the un's pact for the future is the drive toward Global governance this term which sounds idealistic on the surface signals a profound shift in how the world is being shaped the goal is to reform International institutions and create a more inclusive fair and accountable Global governance system one that can effectively handle 21st century challenges like climate change poverty and Global instability yet this
is precisely where we should be most cautious Global governance may seem like the solution to the world's problems but it also lays the foundation for a single leader to take control of global Affairs and scripture is clear that in the last days such a leader will emerge Revelation 133 describes a global leader who will rise to power demanding Allegiance from every nation tribe and people this leader empowered by Satan will have control over the global economy religion and the political structures of the world The Pact for the future with its push for Global governance is
not just a policy initiative it is a sign of the times it is almost as if there is an invisible hand pushing the world towards the arrival of the Antichrist throughout history the drive for sovereignty has shaped Nations and empowered people to fight for self-determination Nations historically have pushed back against outside control recognizing the inherent risks of concentrated foreign power across different eras cultures and continents history testifies to Humanity's Relentless quest to secure sovereignty and resist overarching governance yet despite this Legacy our world is moving closer to a future outlined in Revelation 13 where one
leader will hold unprecedented Authority the Invisible Hand of globalization is drawing us toward a unified system in which centralized control over the global economy religion and politics will become possible we see hints of this reality forming through Global policies agreements and initiatives like The Pact for the future which may pave the the way for This prophesied Global order these changes are not merely political but are also spiritual in nature aligning with Biblical prophecies about the last days as Believers we should remain Vigilant recognizing that the global structures being built today May soon enable the rise
of the leader forewarned in scripture a leader who will demand Allegiance from all as his edges closer to fulfilling the Prophecies of revelation we are living in the Book of Revelation the signs are unmistakable and the systems being built around us Echo the prophecies within its Pages the stage is being set for the Book of Revelation right before our eyes now more than ever We Must Be watchful and rooted in our faith as these final events unfold the world is being prepared for this system of control the push for Global govern governance is not limited
to the United Nations the world economic forum is another major player advocating for stronger international cooperation the world economic forum is committed to addressing Global challenges such as economic inequality climate change and technological disruption through multilateral coordinated efforts governments businesses and Civil Society leaders are coming together under this framework to create a global system that can effectively manage the world's problems but make no mistake this is not just about solving problems this is about consolidating power we are seeing the rise of a global framework where a single system can monitor and control nearly every aspect
of human life whether it be through digital currencies or International policies the infrastructure for a one world government is being put into place the Bible speaks of a system that will enable this leader to have control over the global economy stating in Revelation 13:17 that no one will be able to buy or sell unless they had the mark does this not sound eerily similar to what we are witnessing today could it be that the infrastructure for this system is already being built before our very eyes we are living in a time where with each passing
day the mechanisms for Global control are becoming more and more apparent digital currencies surveillance Technologies and Global governance initiatives are all pieces of a puzzle that leads to one terrifying conclusion the world is moving toward a system of Total Control it's not a stretch to say that the technology required to enforce such a system is already here governments and corporations alike are exploring the use of digital identification systems and centralized digital currencies cashless societies are are becoming more common and many nations are pushing for full digital economic systems these digital currencies would allow a central
authority to Monitor and control every transaction and combined with biometric and surveillance technology this system could enforce compliance with global mandates could it be that this is the very system that the Antichrist will use to control who can buy or sell this invisible hand seems to be directing world leaders and global organiz I ations to Crave Global governance more than ever before from the world economic Forum to the United Nations we see calls for a unified global system to address the world's problems consider this it's almost as if there is an invisible hand constructing the
infrastructure for the mark of the beast system right before our very eyes the world's leaders influenced by unseen forces are striving toward Global governance they are setting the stage for the prophetic fulfillment of Revelation 13 whether they realize it or not these Global initiatives are moving Humanity closer to a time when no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast the issue of the mark of the beast revolves around the issue of worship now we have all heard of this Mark but what a lot of people don't know is
what is so important about this Mark and why why does the dragon Satan the Antichrist and the false prophet all want the inhabitants of the earth to receive this Mark the answer is simple and it is referred to five times in Revelation 13 and three times between Revelation 14: 7-1 what the dragon Satan the Antichrist and the false prophet all want is one word worship what if I was to tell you that the issue surrounding the mark of the beast has already started and unfortunately most people don't see it yet what if I was to
tell you that the issues surrounding the mark of the beast started long before you and I were created Isaiah witnessed the fall and the events that preceded it the prophet witnessed the highest of God's angel triy to usurp the Throne of God and capture for himself worship that belonged to God and to God Alone this passage is often referred to as quote the five eye Wills of Satan the statements reveal Satan's sinful nature his Rebellion his Disobedience his self-sufficiency his pride his exaltation and most importantly his hunger and thirst to be worshiped allow me to
read to you the five statements one I will Ascend into heaven two I will exalt my throne above the stars of God three I will sit also upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the north four I will Ascend above the heights of the cloud five I will be like the most high these five statements show the very heart of Lucifer and they reveal the most important desire of his satanic heart and that is one thing worship all of Heaven Ador God Almighty all of Heaven worship God Almighty but that is because
worship and adoration belong to him and him alone Matthew 4: 8-11 again the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them and saith unto him all these things will I give thee if thou wil Fall Down and Worship me then saith Jesus unto him get thee hence Satan for it is written Thou shalt Worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve what did the devil want from Jesus he wanted him to worship Him and kneel before him Satan
offered the kingdoms of this world because they are in his hands to give this is why the Bible describes him as the god of what the God of this world but what meant more to him than the very kingdoms of this world One Word Worship this is a revealing insight into Satan's heart worship and recognition are far more precious to him than the possessions of the kingdoms of the world and their Glory earlier in this message I stated that five times in Revelation chap 13 is the central issue of the mark of the beast mentioned
allow me to read those verses to you Revelation 13:4 and they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the Beast and they worshiped the Beast saying who is like unto the Beast who is able to make war with him Revelation 13:8 and all that dwell upon the Earth shall worship Him whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world Revelation 13:12 and he exercises all the power of the first Beast before him and causeth the Earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first
Beast whose deadly wound was healed Revelation 13:15 and he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast that the image of the Beast should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed Lucifer's objective has always been to be worshiped and the mark of the beast is when his objective will come to fruition for a brief period of time on earth when we examine the drive toward Global governance through the lens of Prophecy it becomes clear that the world is heading toward the
Fulfillment of Revelation 13 the push for Global cooperation driven by unelected global Powers is laying the groundwork for the Antichrist to rise to power the infrastructure for the mark of the beast system is being developed right now and it will not be long before the world sees the emergence of a leader who will enforce total control over over every aspect of human life scripture reveals that the Antichrist will not come to power through Force alone he will rise to power by offering solutions to the world's problems he will appear as a savior to a world
in crisis and his message will be one of Peace unity and cooperation but this will be a deception behind his facade of benevolence will be the desire to control to dominate and to wage war against God's people we are living in the days when the Antichrist system is being prepared Revelation 13 is no longer just a distant prophecy it is a reality being built right before our eyes the summit that took place in 2024 and the goals set forth in agenda 2030 are not just political movements they are pieces of a much larger spiritual puzzle
the Antichrist has not yet fully revealed himself but the signs are all around us stay VI vigilant for the days of Prophecy are upon us now Brethren concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him we ask you not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled either by Spirit or by word or by letter as if from us as though the day of Christ had [Music] come let no one deceive you by any means for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of
sin is revealed the Son of Perdition who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped so that he sits as God in the temple of God showing himself that he is God do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things and now you know what is restraining that he may be revealed in his own time for the mystery of lawlessness is already at work work only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the [Music] way the context
of 2 Thessalonians 2:6 is Paul's discussion about the end times and the events that will precede the coming of the Lord in 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12 Paul addresses the concerns of the Thessalonian Christians who were confused and troubled by false teachings suggesting that the day of the Lord Lord had already come here's a more detailed breakdown of the context the coming rebellion and the man of lawlessness veres 3 to5 Paul explains that before the day of the Lord there will be a rebellion and the revelation of the man of lawlessness often interpreted as the Antichrist
this figure opposes God exalts himself above all gods and takes his seat in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God Paul reminds the Thessalonians that he had already spoken to them about these things when he was with them the restrainer verses 6 to 7 in verses 6 to 7 Paul mentions the restrainer a force or person currently holding back the man of lawlessness preventing him from being revealed until the proper time this restraining force will eventually be removed allowing the Lawless one to be revealed undoubtedly evil is rampant today and we live in
a world saturated with wickedness ruled by morally corrupt individuals this wickedness is evident in heinous crimes Blasphemous speech sexual immorality secularism greed hatred and a growing disdain for God look at the atrocities committed against the innocent the world's evil does not discriminate and attacks even those who have done no wrong consider the Blasphemous nature of our society what is Holy and pure is treated with utter disrespect people refrain from using their own names or their loved ones names in vain yet they casually take the Lord Jesus Christ's name in vain this generation openly celebrates sin
and immorality recently I saw a woman participating in a March wearing a t-shirt that shocked me the shirt Read Mary should have had an abortion I was appalled and thought to myself what will you say to the Lord Jesus Christ on Judgment Day how will you answer for such blasphemy this shirt exemplifies the depth of blasphemy in our generation sexual immorality is rampant and more accessible than ever before in today's world the pervasive influence of technology and media has significantly contributed to this issue the internet while a tool for incredible advancements and connectivity also provides
a platform where explicit content is easily accessible pornography once confined to the margins of society is now just a click away infiltrating homes and Minds regardless of age or background dating apps further facilitate this trend by promoting hookups and fleeting sexual encounters over meaningful relationships moreover the entertainment industry perpetuates this immorality through movies television shows and music that often celebrate and romanticize Unholy and unrighteous Ways lyrics and scenes that depict fornication and adultery and infidelity are commonplace influencing minds and shaping societal Norms celebrities and influencers who are often looked up to as Role Models frequently
lead Lifestyles that promote and exemplify these immoral behaviors further embedding them into the fabric of society we live in an age driven by secularism where even the music industry openly Embraces its love for Satan in the music industry this trend is glaringly apparent artists increasingly use satanic imagery and themes in their performances lyrics and music videos what was once considered shocking and provocative has now become mainstream symbols associated with Satanism such as inverted crosses and pentagrams are prominently displayed in concerts and media award shows and ceremonies have also become platforms where these themes are displayed
without reservation ritualistic performances that glorify evil darkness and Rebellion against traditional Norms are broadcast to millions normalizing and even glamorizing such behaviors this secular and satanic influence has profound implications it signals a departure from the values that promote human dignity respect and the sanctity of life additionally greed pervades our society driving people to immoral actions in the financial sector the greed driven culture has led to significant economic crisis the 2008 financial meltdown for example was largely fued by Reckless lending and investment practices motivated by short-term gains this crisis had devastating effects on millions of lives
resulting in Lost homes jobs and savings the Fallout highlighted how the unchecked pursuit of wealth can lead to widespread suffering and instability on a personal level greed influences behaviors in more subtle but equally damaging ways individuals may engage in dishonest practices to get ahead such as lying on resumés cheating in business deals or evading taxes a growing disdain for God characterizes our age marking a significant shift in societal values in previous generations the Christian faith and participation in Christian practices were more broadly respected and integrated into daily life however today the things of God are
no longer revered as they once were righteousness and Holiness once considered virtues are now often viewed with skepticism or even contempt however these Wicked conditions will reach an unprecedented level when the man of lawlessness is revealed when the Antichrist is revealed he will embody evil and Lead an unparalleled Rebellion against God the mystery of lawlessness is already at work this great principle of evil is already present in the world the man of sin will not introduce new wickedness but he will intensify the existing evil to a much greater degree when people wonder why God does
nothing to stop evil this passage should come to mind despite how bad things may seem at times the fact is that God is restraining evil from becoming even worse this Divine restraint is a crucial aspect of the current age demonstrating God's ongoing engagement with the world and his commitment to mitigating the impact of sin and wickedness scripture indicates that God in his mercy and sovereignty is holding back the full force of evil through various means this restraint can be seen in the presence of moral law the infuence of the Holy Spirit and the role of
the church in promoting goodness and righteousness even as we witness heinous crimes Blasphemous speech and rampant immorality it is important to understand that the situation could be far worse without God's intervention his grace and Providence act as a buffer against the complete onslaught of evil preserving a measure of order and decency in the world however this restraint is temporary the Bible teaches that a time will come when the man of lawlessness also known as the Antichrist will be revealed this figure will embody and amplify the evil already present leading a rebellion against God that surpasses
anything seen before when this occurs the restraint currently in place will be lifted allowing the full extent of evil to be Unleashed upon the world it will be a period marked by unprecedented wickedness chaos cross and suffering the lifting of God's restraint will usher in a time of tribulation and darkness unparalleled in human history so who is the restrainer spoken of in these verses in this sermon we will look at the different theories theologians have proposed regarding the identity of this restrainer number one the Archangel Michael some scholars believe that the restrainer in 2 Thessalonians
2:s six is the Archangel Michael this interpretation draws from Daniel 12:1 where Michael is depicted as a great prince who stands guard over the children of Israel Michael is often seen as a protector of God's people engaging in spiritual warfare against the forces of evil in this view Michael's role extends to restraining the manifestation of the man of lawlessness commonly identified as the Antichrist until the proper time proponents of this Theory argue that Michael's protective duties include holding back the powers of Darkness preventing them from fully expressing their malevolent intent until God's predetermined time this
aligns with the portrayal of Michael in the Book of Revelation where he leads the Heavenly armies against the dragon and his angels the concept here is that Michael's restraint is a part of his broader mission to safeguard the faithful and combat evil number two a general principle of Law and Order another interpretation suggests that the restrainer represents a general principle of Law and Order or human government this Theory posits that societal structures and legal systems instituted by God act as a barrier against chaos and lawlessness in this view human governments regardless of their form serve
to maintain a level of order and stability that prevents the full outbreak of evil this perspective is supported by Romans 13: 1:4 where Paul emphasizes that governing authorities are established by God to promote good and restrain evil the idea is that these structures inherently limit the actions of those who would seek to disrupt peace and promote Anarchy when these systems are weakened or removed the restraint on lawlessness is lifted allowing the man of lawlessness to emerge number three the Roman Empire some early church fathers such as tertullian and John chrysostom believed that the restrainer was
the Roman Empire or its Emperor they argued that the political and military power of Rome was the force preventing the rise of the Antichrist according to this view as long as the Roman Empire remained strong it maintained a form of stability and law that curbed the spread of evil and the emergence of the final antagonist against God this interpretation gained traction because of the historical context in which these theologians lived the Roman Empire was a dominant force and its collapse was often associated with the end of an era and the potential rise of chaos the
fall of Rome therefore was seen as a necessary condition for the Antichrist to be revealed aligning with Paul's message in 2 Thessalonians 2 number four Satan and another theory is that the restrainer could be Satan himself or a demonic Force under his control this interpretation is somewhat paradoxical suggesting that Satan for his own strategic reasons is holding back the revelation of the Antichrist the idea here is that Satan might be Bing his time waiting for the most opportune moment to unleash his ultimate plan of deception and destruction this view posits that Satan is aware of
God's timetable and is trying to manipulate events to his Advantage by restraining the man of lawlessness temporarily Satan seeks to maximize the impact of his final assault against God and his people while this interpretation is less commonly held it offers an intriguing perspective on the complex interplay between Divine and demonic forces in eschatological events number five human restraint some Scholars propose that the restrainer is a general human restraint possibly represented by influential leaders or institutions that knowingly or unknowingly act to curb the spread of evil this interpretation considers the role of key individuals or entities
in maintaining social order and preventing the rise of destructive forces for example influential religious leaders moral philosophers or even secular authorities could be seen as agents of restraint their teachings policies and actions contribute to a societal environment that resists the uncheck proliferation of lawlessness this Theory emphasizes the importance of human agency in the divine plan suggesting that God uses people and institutions to achieve his purposes number six the Holy Spirit the final Theory and the one I personally believe to be the most compelling is that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit Spirit according to this
view the Holy Spirit working through the church is the force holding back the manifestation of the man of lawlessness this interpretation aligns with several biblical passages that describe the role of the holy spirit in guiding protecting and empowering Believers in John 16: 7-1 Jesus speaks about the Holy Spirit convicting the world of sin righteousness and judgment the Pres pres of the holy spirit in the world especially through the church acts as a powerful deterrent against the full-scale eruption of evil the idea here is that the Holy Spirit by working in and through Believers exerts a
restraining influence on the forces of Darkness this view is further supported by the notion of the church being the salt of the earth and the light of the world Matthew 5: 13-4 as the body of Christ the church is a vehicle through which the Holy Spirit operates preserving righteousness and exposing wickedness the removal of the church possibly through the Rapture would mean the withdrawal of this restraining Force allowing the man of lawlessness to be revealed the strength of this interpretation lies in its consistency with the broader biblical Narrative of the holy spirit's role in the
world from the Inception of the church at Pentecost to the ongoing work of the spirit in the lives of Believers the holy spirit is depicted as a dynamic and Powerful presence combating evil and upholding God's truth thus it makes sense that the Holy Spirit would be the restrainer mentioned by Paul holding back the ultimate manifestation of evil until God's appointed time in conclusion while there are several theories about the identity of the restrainer in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2-6 ranging from the Archangel Michael to human institutions the interpretation that the restrainer is the holy spirit stands
out as the most theologically consistent and compelling the holy spirit's active presence in the world through the church serves as a formidable barrier against the forces of Darkness maintaining God's order until the time for the final events of the end times is at hand
