Yo, yo, yo, what's up, boys? It's Joey, and welcome back to another video. Today, we're going to talk about the abyss, the end game.
First off, what is the abyss exactly? In very short, it's a massive unequalized PvPvE zone where gear absolutely matters. There's no scaling to save you.
There is no equalization. There are no real fair fights in the abyss. This is a ruthless battlefield where you'll be fighting other players while trying to farm high-value mobs.
Best of all, you actually don't lose AP on that. What is AP? Uh AP stands for abyss points, which is the currency that you acquire by participating in in-game activities inside the abyss.
People were so scared because back then, back in Taiwan Korea launch, if you did PvP, you lost AP. AP that you grinded so hard for someone was just going to take from you by killing you. Now, that doesn't work like that.
When you die, only your ranking points take a hit. And if you're not really a high rank or if you're not really a player that's pushing ranking, it doesn't really matter. And even then, even if you are pushing ranking, the amount of RP you lose is actually almost nonexistent.
You can just get it back by farming a couple of mobs. It's absolutely low risk in this area. Even if you get, you know, if even if you run into some John PvPers, you don't have to worry.
If you die, just, you know, come back or go to another spot, and you'll be fine. With Aion 2 right around the corner and everyone getting ready for massive faction wars, challenging raids, and deep group dungeons, so I'm going to share some useful info with you guys to get your setup completely day one ready. I'm going to show you guys how to make your DPS from this to this.
You'll want to check out Gear Up Booster. It's the easiest way to lock in a rock-solid connection instead of relying on a standard ISP routing. It redirects your traffic to dedicated and gaming optimized servers.
With just one click, it slashes high latency, wipes out packet loss, and stops rubber banding, meaning your abilities will land instantly when execution matters the most. Want to play Aion 2 but hit with a region lock? Gear-Up Booster bypasses it instantly.
Just open Gear-Up, click boost to route through US Steam servers, and unlock Aion 2 on Steam in one single click. Smooth gameplay, zero extra steps. Oh, and uh one more thing.
Gear-Up now has a new feature that will allow you to boost your Purple so that you can register for a region that you are locked in. For example, as you can see here, you will find NC account sign-up for the Purple Global account, which I will find here if I type NC account. And upon boosting, I will now be able to create an NC Purple account for example, Japan.
And you can choose whichever region applies to you. Don't let high ping make you want to uninstall the game. Click the link in the description to try it out.
Use my code to grab a 7-day free trial. How do we acquire AP or Abyss Points? We earn it by engaging in core content, such as fighting other the players, farming Abyss mobs, doing your Abyssal corridors, which you can get if your faction wins the Abyss Siege, depending on which location, because there are three points in the Abyss.
There's always three cores in the Abyss that your faction will be fighting over. So, the way the Abyss Sieges work is that Asmo and Elyos will fight based on where the core are located. So, we got three points.
We got point A, B, and C. B is always the middle core. A is always the core to the north.
And then C is always the core to the south. And usually this is a diagonal direction. So, top left would be A, middle would be B, and C will always be bottom right in terms of the map.
Okay, so how does the Abyssal sieges work? Basically, you have 10 minutes to prepare and fight over the core as it will spawn on top of these round circles on the map. Your faction, when the core spawns, both factions will try to attack the core while fighting each other.
How does the game determine who wins in this Abyssal siege? It's based on It's actually based on last hit. But, what about the rewards?
How do you people get more rewards by participating in this Abyssal siege? It's based on contribution divided by classes. So, if your faction wins the last hit on the core, now the contribution is divided amongst the classes with regards to which parties did the most damage, they will get more rewards.
And then, we also have the Abyssal command quest, which are weekly quests that you can buy from the command quest NPC, and this will have objectives where you have to kill certain mobs around the map. Or if you're in the middle Abyssal, you have to kill players. And this rewards you with either Abyssal points or Asfel fragments towards medal chests that you can sell to other players in the market.
There's another another source of AP is the supply requests. So, you can complete this by pretty much sacrificing items or giving it to the supply request so you can acquire abyss points and enhancement stocks. Okay.
Moving on, we have the PvP gears. PvP gear is the core essence of what you can acquire with abyssal points, right? You got AP.
You can buy PvP gears on the abyss shops using abyss points starting from different tiers. We got multiple tiers of PvP gear, right? We got Decanus, Centurion, Tribunis, and then finally the heroic version of PvP gear, which is the high commander gear.
Okay. So, at global launch, there won't be any heroic gears, there won't be any crafted PvE gears, there will only be unique items. So, the Decanus would be the first tier in the PvP gear list, and it only requires abyss points to acquire.
Which is very easy enough to farm. So, Centurion does require silver medals, Tribunis also requires gold medals, and that brings us to the PvP medals. So, how does how does someone acquire PvP medals?
PvP medals can be bought in the shop 10 pieces a week depending on your rank. The higher your rank, the more the more medals you have access to. So, for example, you cannot buy the platinum medals unless you are a general or upwards rank player.
And then how would you want how would you push towards general ranking? How does how do people do that? They simply keep PvPing in the abyss, fighting other players non-stop day in day night, and pushing the ranking points until they reach that level.
Right. So, in the abyss, we have I'll show you very quickly. If you click on the rank right here, you can see the applied tiers, and you can see how much rank points you need to achieve general.
However, this ranking point requirement does increase the higher the ranking points of the overall player base in the server. in your server. Okay?
So, if you want to buy gold medals, you need to be at least one to three star officer. And if you want to buy platinum medals, you need to be general upwards. The silver medals should be available to soldiers and below.
All right. So, we got these medals. What about the Asphodel Davanian crystals that I mentioned earlier?
You can buy them with abyss points. And most importantly, the stigma shards. Davanian crystals.
All right. So, we got the Asphodel crystals, which is your Davanian board for PvP. And you can buy an X amount of crystals.
However, it does not reset, and you can only get certain amount of fragments by completing the abyss command request quite weekly quests. All right. So, this contributes towards your PvP Davanian board, the Asphodel.
Which increases your PvP stats. And most importantly, we have the stigma shards. Stigma shards are very crucial to your character's progression because they do increase the level of your stigmas, which unlock certain skill traits.
For example, I will look at the Visor's quality for the Ranger. So, if I reset this, as you can see, at level one, we only get the attack increase. At level five, we get an extra 10% perfect chance for the entire duration.
So, leveling this requires stigma shards. At level 10, we unlock focused eye. At level five, we unlock perfect chance.
All right. And then the higher we we go, the more you unlock all the way up to 25. But in global, we'll only have until level 20 pretty much because the superior stigma shards probably won't be in the game yet.
That is end end game. Anyhow, the other thing about the shop is we also have the devotion rune chests. So, you can buy this also with abyss points.
And what are these runes? They basically give you PvP stats. Right?
You get PvP damage boost, PvP damage tolerance, penetration, multi-hit chance, and PvP accuracy. So, these are very crucial items for PvP. It's a must-have, and they are also the only item in the game where if you fail to refine or enhance them, they break.
But, don't worry. They're not very difficult to get. Right?
The value of each chest is very low in terms of AP at the start. You probably shouldn't shouldn't try to upgrade this that much early on. You should focus on just getting two pieces and go with that and then focus on your stigma shards.
Next, we have the grinding aspect of the abyss. So, unlike safe zones or like the overworld, kinah farming in the abyss has no cap. Meaning, you can literally farm 24/7 or until your time runs out runs out, basically.
You get infinite kinah farms. The more efficient you are with farming mobs, the more kinah you can get. But, keep an eye out because other players can also kill you while you're farming.
And also, you have to keep an eye out for the abyss potential stones because they are massive power spikes for your character's potential enhancement. These will give you extra PvP stats for your PvP gear. An example of that is if I look at my gears, for example, my Archon High Commander PvP heroic guard has a 10% PvP damage boost modifier on top of the base 10% PvP damage boost, therefore doubling the amount of PvP damage boost that I got from having a PvP guard.
Abyss isn't just mindless grinding. It's scheduled chaos. You'll want to rally your faction for massive events and including brutal boss fights where people fight over world bosses that are scheduled that you can see on your map and they will tell you what time it will spawn.
And for the abyss sieges, so you that you can control your course. And finally, you need to know your battleground because the abyss is split into distinct layers that completely change how you guys fight. So, for the chaotic lower Reshanta, this is completely fully flight aerial zone, right?
Even the combat is flight flying combat. So, get ready for three three D 360° flying. As for the middle Reshanta, we have a no flight zone where you can fight on the ground and take fight however you want.
The abyss in Aion 2 is low risk, high reward. So, get in there. Clear those weekly quests, farm that uncapped kinah, protect your RP for your ranking, or start building your PvP set.
And see you next time. See you guys on the next video.
