Your body is your unconscious mind and it does not know the difference between an experience in your life that produces an emotion and an emotion that you fabricate by thought alone to the body it's the same it believes it's in the experience over and over again so if you begin to think unworthy thoughts wouldn't you agree that you're going to begin to feel unworthy the moment you feel unworthy aren't you going to think More unworthy thoughts then you're going to feel more unworthy and then finally you're going to say I am unworthy whenever you say
I am anything what you're saying is my mind and body are working together my thoughts and feelings are aligned to a destiny so if you understand then that feelings are the record of the past and those feelings are driving your thoughts are you thinking in the future are you thinking in the past as long as you're Thinking in the past and you believe that your thoughts have something to do with your destiny what are you creating more of now that cycle of thinking and feeling creates a state of being and a state of being is
your personality and that chemical continuity becomes so familiar to you that that becomes your identity after 35 and all of a sudden when we want to change and we're not going to think the same thoughts or behave the same way or live by the same Emotions and we disrupt this chemical continuity it feels uncomfortable because now all of a sudden it's unfamiliar and now you're stepping outside of the old self Dr Joe despenza is a leading expert in the world of Neuroscience and epigenetics his transformational journey began after a brutal cycling accident when doctors told
him that he would never walk again he has since gone on to write several New York Times bestselling books become One of the highest paid speakers in the world and Inspire millions of people globally with his story in this exclusive speech from the celebrate your life stage Jord spenza explains how to live in the present moment train your mind for success and connect with the universe special thanks to Liz Don for partnering with us to release this exclusive content on our YouTube channel enjoy can you stay present this morning you know the average human being
loses Their attention span six to 10 times a minute how are we doing as Quantum observers see we have the ability this thing called awareness is mobile we have the ability to begin to think about some future event that can take place and to the exclusion of everything else we can focus on it to the point that it becomes real and we move out of the moment or we can begin to remember remember a memory that's in the recesses of our gray matter and we can bring it to life and In that moment it's real
and we miss the present moment paying attention really is just staying present so can you stay present for the next hour and a half in 1986 I was in a triathlon in Palm Springs California and uh I had a bet with two of my best friends at the the time that the winner of the race between the three of us would get taken anywhere along the west coast all expenses paid by the two losers so I was training really hard for months and Months and months the day of the race in Palm Springs I was
living in San Diego my friends called me up and they said we're not ready and I thought what was all of that for and so I decided to do the race anyway and so I drove to Palm Springs with my training partner and expected 500 people for the race and there was a th000 people so they had to divide the race up into two groups and uh I was registering and I was uh getting my Number written on my leg at the time and I was stretching out and I said to the woman writing the
number on my leg when does my group start she said oh in about 20 minutes I said oh great and all of a sudden they shut the gun off so I look and there's the lake about a half a mile away and I have to run all the way around the lake jump in the water and start to swim and try to catch up so I get out of the water and I get on the biking portion of the race and I thought This is where I'm going to make up most of my lost time
and I'm about 10 miles into the race and I'm coming up to this corner just like this and as I'm making the turn there's two bikers that I'm going to pass on the turn and there's a policeman a Cadet pointing at me going like this you know turn turn the problem is he had is back to the oncoming traffic so when I made the turn this four-wheel drive Bronco going about 55 M an hour took me out of my bike and drag Me down the road and uh I wound up with six compression fractures in
my spine and when you land on your rump and you decelerate you know the vertebral bodies are columns and so when you start compressing these columns those columns actually crumble and the very top one the six dorsal vertebrae broke more than 60% and there were bone fragments on my spinal cord and the neural Arch was actually fractured and so I was in Pretty bad shape and so when the first physician came in and showed me my you know images my x-rays and the and the scans he mentioned that I probably would need this radical surgery
where they take out the back parts of your vertebrae you know cut me open from the base of my neck to the base of my spine and then saw off the backs of my vertebrae and take these long stainless steel rods and screw them into my spine to stabilize my spine it's called Harington Rod Surgery he said if I didn't have the Harrington Rod Surgery I'd probably never walk again so then I thanked him and the next surgeon came in and I said uh what do you think he said oh Harrington Rod Surgery the whole
way here and I said is there any other options he said absolutely not so he told me though that I had to make a decision very quickly because my bones in my spine would start to mend or try to mend and the longer I waited the more Radical the surgery would be so I decided to go back to San Diego so I was put in an ambulance and I went to script's hospital in San Diego and I was met by this guy that was the most credible surgeon you could ever meet he had the salt
and pepper hair and the lab code and he just came walking in he shook my hand and he said look we have to do Harrington Rod Surgery today and he said the longer we wait if we wait too long we're going to have to do a Radical surgery where we cut you open from the front and the back and we got to put rods in the front and the back he went through this whole thing and um and he was so credible and I really wanted to believe him and he was already making arrangements and
I said uh can we wait a day here because uh I just am not ready to sign on the dotted line yet now I was a practicing chiropractor at the time and uh I knew a few things about spinal biomechanics but I understood that Nature of this injury was severe enough that it was one of my patients I would have probably said the same thing you know get the surgery but this was me and uh I couldn't just rush into it so quickly so after he came in and gave his prognosis and his treatment plan
I asked if I could have a little bit of time now I had about eight friends surround rounding my hospital bed at the time and uh they were Physicians they were chiropractors they were naturopaths Acupunctur there were just a whole range of nurse practitioner a whole range of Health Care practitioners and you know when you're in trouble in your life when people patch you on the shoulder and they say to you we know you're going to make the right decision you know what that translates into don't you we're so glad we're not you and I
could see the fear in everybody's eyes because they didn't want to be in My position and it was poignantly uncomfortable for them and everybody left the room except my roommate from college and um I called in a fourth surgeon now this fourth surgeon was probably 63 probably 280 300 lb he was a gigantic man and I said um gosh you know U any other options he said yeah we can we don't have to put 12in stainless steel rods in your spine we can put 8 in stainless steel rods in your spine and Leave them in
there for a year then take them out and we can put you know 6in stainless steel rods in your spine and I looked over at him and I said um don't you think that would limit Motion in my thoracic spine and he said there's no Motion in your thoracic spine now I had been teaching yoga and martial arts right up until the day of my surgery and my roommate who owned the martial arts studio with me years prior did a back Bend onto the floor behind the surgeon this was in scrips hospital and I looked
at this guy and I thought there may not be any Motion in your thoracic spine but there's a lot of motion in my thoracic spine and the moment I made that decision that I was going to leave that hospital and I believed in this idea I was young enough and innocent enough to believe in this idea that the power that made the body heals the body that's what I believed now I understand that this intelligence has to express itself through its genetic makeup so I knew that the bones on some level would be healed but
what I was asking for was I was asking for something greater I wanted to make contact with this intelligence I wasn't going anywhere I wasn't doing anything I wasn't working out I wasn't seeing patience I had no social engagements I was laying face down and uh I said to myself that now That I have all this time my life is stopped as we know it I can't reaffirm my identity by going to the same places and seeing the same people and do the same thing you know we use our environment to reaffirm who we think
we are but that's not who we really are that's who we believe we are so I was all of a sudden no longer presenting myself to my environment and as a result of it it was a dying process because the old self was no longer reaffirming the Same identity and so I said to myself I'm going to make contact with this intelligence and I'm going to give it a plan I'm going to give it a template I'm going to give it a design and and then once I get that design very complete I'm going to
surrender this image to a greater mind and ask that it resolve it in a way that's right for me I also said I'm not going to let any thought slip by that I don't want to Experience now when you make that decision and you're facing paralysis you are now standing off against Goliath and it is an amazing process to see how untrained your mind is when all your left with is your mind and for weeks I battled with my limitations and I battled with my fears and 2 hours in the morning 2 hours in the
evening I would go within and I would reconstruct my spine the entire Spine now if I lost my focus for 1 millisecond the image was no longer complete I had to start all over again and do it from scratch until it was complete now that took me over two 2 hours in the beginning to do because my mind was so untrained right around the 6th week though things started to change for me and I was able to reconstruct my spine in my mind and say to the Observer who's observing all of life that intelligence that's
keeping your heart Beating and digesting your food and organizing hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions per second in one cell and you know making 25 million in cells every second and filtering all these liters of blood by your kidneys and little proteins zipping through your DNA changing mutations right now it's all happening behind the scenes of our awareness this is The Giver of Life so I thought gosh darn it if I can begin to show it what I wanted and said okay Observer this is what I want take a look at that and at around
the 6th week when I was able to construct the image with without my mind wandering to all my fears and all my concerns it was like hitting a tennis ball in The Sweet Spot I don't know how else to describe that it was something clicked for me and when it clicked it all of a sudden got very easy got easier and what took me over 2 hours to do I was able to do in 45 minutes and then The rest of my time I naturally began to rehearse mentally and imagine watching a sunset that's all
I wanted to do was to just see the sunset on the on the coast I wanted to dream of having lunch with my friends again that I would never take it for granted I wanted to use the toilet that's all I wanted I just wanted to do that simple things were so important to me and I began to tune in to these potentials that exist in the quantum field and how many potentials Exist in the quantum field and so my brain would naturally now that I was already in the right space begin to pick a
potential that existed in the quantum field and instead of obsessing about some worst case scenario I started to obsess about some great scenario and I would all of a sudden my body would begin to respond like it was in that experience in the present moment I was living that Future in the present and the hair on the back of my neck would stand up at times and my body was getting new information ahead of the experience and my friends were saying to me sell your practice sell your this sell your house why why were they
telling me that cuz they doubted that I was going to walk and I said I'm not going to sell my practice cuz if I sell my practice or sell my house then I doubt that I'm Going to get up again again and so for the next 4 and 1/2 weeks I maintained this state and I began to find so much joy in the simplest of things the simplest of things I noticed that I never noticed before and it assisted me into a level of sensitivity about myself and my life that was transmuting me and I
woke up at 10 and 1 half weeks and that moment I woke up that morning I knew it was the day to stand up I don't Know how I knew it I just knew that today was the day to stand up and I got up I got dressed I walked over to my friends whose house I was staying at they were asleep the husband and wife I opened the sliding glass door and I said I'm going home today and uh I was supposed to wear this body cast from from my neck to my hips and
I was supposed to wear it for 3 to 6 months and uh I walked back over to the bed that I was in I tried to put the Body cast on and I took it and I tossed it and I left that day at 11 weeks I was back in my office seeing patients and at 12 weeks I was training again now I'm not telling you the story story to ring my bell in any way I'm telling you this story because the traumas and the conditions in our life are either going to be transmuted into
something greater to test your adversity that adversity to test your character or you begin to shrink from your adversity And the emotion that's created from The Experience defines you now the end product of every experience is called a feeling or an emotion and you can remember experiences better because you can remember how they feel you can remember all the events in your life that were novel and new because when you were in the midst of that experience be it good or bad all the sensory information that you were gathering from the external environment was making
its Way back to your brain and as it began to organize circuits in your brain to reflect the event the brain releases a chemical and that chemical is called a feeling or an emotion so you can remember the birth of your children you could remember where you were on 9/11 you could remember your first promotion your wedding proposal cuz that new event changed something inside of you and the moment you noticed you felt differently inside of you you woke up for a moment And you began to pay attention to whatever caused it outside of you
and that event in and of itself is called a memory so if feelings and emotions are the record of past experiences and we have experiences that are traumatic in our life would you agree then that after the experience happens if you're living by the same emotion that's connected to that experience you're living in the past and you can't go to a new future holding on To the emotions of the past now thoughts are the language of the brain and feelings are the language of the body and we think certain thoughts that turn on different circuits
in our brain that begin to produce a level of mind that activates another part of the brain that produces a chemical for you to feel exactly the way you were just thinking so the moment you feel the way you think you begin to think the way you feel which means you feel the way you think And then you think the way you feel and I'm going to show you pictures of that until feelings become the means of thinking or you can't think greater than how you feel and the redundancy of that cycle for years on
end conditions the body to memorize that emotional state as well as the conscious mind and once the body knows as well as the mind or the body is the mind that's a habit a habit is when your body is the mind so think about this 95% of Who You Are by the Time you're 35 years old is a set of memorized behaviors and emotional reactions beliefs and perceptions that work like automatic programs that exist subconsciously in which your your body has memorized that behavior better than your conscious mind so remember when you were in high
school and you just made out with your boyfriend and you went over to your lock and you had to figure out the combination but your conscious mind was just Dazed but you all a sudden you just let your hand un you know turn the lock back and forth you couldn't consciously remember the combination but you practiced it so many times that your body knew better than your brain now 95% of who you are is a set of memorized behaviors just like that so think about this a person wants to change after 35 years old they're
going to use 5% of their conscious mind to work against 95% of what they've memorized now your body Is your unconscious mind and it does not know the difference between an experience in your life that produces an emotion and an emotion that you fabricate by thought alone to the body it's the same it believes it's in the experience over and over again so if you begin to think unworthy thoughts wouldn't you agree that you're going to begin to feel unworthy the moment you feel unworthy aren't you going to think more unworthy thoughts then you're going
To feel more unworthy think more and then finally you're going to say I am unworthy and whenever you say I am anything what you're saying is my mind and body are working together my thoughts and feelings are aligned to a destiny so if you you understand then that feelings are the record of the past and those feelings are driving your thoughts are you thinking in the future are you thinking in the past and as long as you're thinking in the past and you Believe that your thoughts have something to do with your destiny what are
you creating more of now that cycle of thinking and feeling creates a state of being and a state of being is your personality and that chemical continuity becomes so familiar to you that that becomes your identity after 35 and all of a sudden when we want to change and we're not going to think the same thoughts or behave the same way or live by the same emotions And we disrupt this chemical continuity it feels uncomfortable because now all of a sudden it's unfamiliar and now you're stepping outside of the old self and at least when
you suffered you could predict the next reason to suffer now all of a sudden you're not suffering now what are you going to do so then if thoughts and feelings produce an imprint in the quantum field that invisible field that exists Beyond time And space that's responsive to how you think and feel then if you're walking around in your life in a state of suffering and you're broadcasting an electromagnetic signature what you're saying is okay field bring me more reasons to suffer but bring them in a way that I least expect that surprise me that
leave no doubt that they've come from you so then your body is a protein producing machine your body's a protein producing machine Muscle cells make Muscle proteins it's called actin and myosin skin cells make skin protein called collagen and elastin stomach cells make stomach proteins they're called enzymes so your body's a protein producing machine now in order for your body to assemble a protein for structure and for function you know you it gives you structure and it gives you chemicals for function in order for it to do that you have to have a gene that
does it so a Gene turns on when you make a protein so then think about this when the human genome was mapped they said oh well we have about 100,000 proteins in our body we got about 40,000 regulatory proteins we should have about 140,000 different genes that make 140,000 different proteins simple math guess what we have about 27 26,000 genes so in other words we have more proteins than we have genes which means then those proteins are assembled from genes that can vary in Different ways now every organism in nature Embraces its environment as an
organism interacts with the environment and it has experiences what's the end product of the experience emotion and motion is chemical information from the environment so an organism then a mammal as an example is exposed to cold conditions warm conditions another organism is exposed to altitude another one is exposed to a stronger current or a predator that's chasing them that as The organism begins to experience the same conditions over and over again as they experience the same conditions they experience the same emotions would you agree come on and the emotion then is the information from the
environment that signals the Gene and that Gene gets turned on so the organism can adapt to the environment and as the organism begins to modify Its Behavior and change its actions in some way to adapt to the environmental condition it produces a New experience and the new experience then signals a new Gene and all of a sudden the gene is making a new protein and that new protein then begins to cause the organis M to adapt to the environment so if it's a cold temperature the organism grows thicker fur fur is a protein it's adapting
if it's altitude then hemoglobin attaches to oxygen better and there are Tibetan Monks that have that Gene turned on or if it's current they Grow a bigger tail fin or longer legs or camouflage to adapt to the environment by making different choices so reason this with me if you're living by the same exact emotion every day then you're giving the gene the same information would you agree and if you keep signaling the same gene over and over again over and over again over and over again and you keep doing that enough times that Gene begins
to wear out just like gears in your car As a matter of fact no information means the gene is living off information from the past and the body begins to go to the Past and what happens when we age what happens to our skin it's wrinkles that's collagen it's less of protein what happens to our muscles they atrophy what happens to our joints they get stiff it's all protein so we begin to make cheaper proteins because the organism is no longer getting any new information so genes are as changeable As your brain they used to
say that we were hardwired and you're going to turn out like your parents have a nice life that's not true we are marvels of adaptability that the brain physically listen to this and now finally they're saying chemically changes from every new thought you have every new experience you have every new dream that you have your brain reorganizes itself to reflect a new level of mind but if you're thinking the same thoughts doing the Same things every day that create the same experiences that produce the same emotions you're pushing the same genetic button and now you're
headed for your genetic Destiny would you agree yes so no new information comes in so then if you were thinking and feeling and feeling and thinking in the same cycle over and over again we could say that by living by the same emotion you're keeping the same genes on and the other genes turned off would you agree because The body's not getting new any new information and so genes are as changeable as the brain they did an experiment with a group of people that were diabetic and they divided them into two categories in the first
category they had took a fasting blood sugar level then after the fasting blood sugar level was taken they fed him a meal and then they had him watch a really boring lecture and then they took their post Pranal blood sugar levels and guess what those people's blood sugar Rose really high and they had to take insulin in some way to take the sugar out of the bloodstream and deposit it into the cells so that they didn't get toxic makes sense right it's what diabetics do and their blood sugar levels Rose to about 125 Mig per
deciliter danger zone another group of people fasting blood sugar level 1hour comedy show they rated the comedy show on a scale of 1 to five And they all rated her five then they took they fed him a big meal and then they took a post pandal blood sugar test those people who laughed their blood sugar levels Rose half compared to the other group right outside the danger zone so the scientists that did the experiment and I would probably have thought this myself would have said well you're laughing you know you're Contracting your abdominal muscles you're
moving your diaphragm You're going to burn more energy so that's how come you're using uh more blood sugar and one of the scientists was a Japanese geneticist and he said uh let's see if an elevated mood actually can turn on certain genes and he found out when they did the genetic assay that these people turned on 23 genes B just by changing their internal State turned on new genes turned off old genes in other words by them altering their internal chemical State there was new information chemically that began to reorganize their genetic expression in a
matter of moments how come a person who's under very stressful conditions overnight their hair turns gray overnight that's genes at work signaling new genes in new ways now stress you know when you get run over by a truck physical trauma you have experiences in your life that are emotionally branding that leave An effect you have chemical stress or chemical trauma we have physical chemical and emotional traumas and the body gets knocked out of balance with each one of those that's called stress the stress response is what your body naturally does to return it itself back
to order and every organism can handle short-term stress because if a a zebra is grazing and a lion chases it after the the the zebra Outruns the lion it returns back to balance but human beings you know we can turn on the stress response just by thought alone and we can begin to think about some worst case scenario in the future based on the past and we can focus on that to the exclusion of everything else to the point where a body physiologically gets knocked out of balance just by thought alone you can think about
something that happened to your in your past and you could Selectively pay attention to that and lower the volume to all the other information around you and that thought will become real and your body is the unconscious mind produces the same chemistry as if it was in the event and now the person's either living in the future or living in the past and the body as the unconscious mind becomes trained to always predict the future based on the past and if you're predicting the future based on the past Tell me how the unknown's going to
show up in your life there's no room would you agree so it's a scientific fact that those chemicals of stress push the genetic buttons or downregulate the genes that create disease on the long term because when you turn on a stress response and you can't turn it off now you're headed for disease so then if your thoughts can turn on the stress response and we know that the chemicals of stress can make you sick then what We're really saying is your thoughts can make you sick yes now those chemicals that turn on from stress turn
on a primitive nervous system called the fight ORF flight nervous system so if your thoughts can make you sick and your then your thoughts could make you well yes while when you turn on that fight ORF flight nervous system you're mobilizing all of this energy for some threat real or imagined would you agree and if you keep doing that there's a Rush of adrenaline and that Rush of adrenaline is like a very strong intoxicating chemical because it gives us a high and we become drama queens and kings because we love the high from the problems
and conditions in our life to reaffirm our addiction so that we can remember who we think we are as a somebody so try this on then just try it out okay you know why you think about your problems so Much because it was your thinking that created them in the first place and why you know why your problems feel so real cuz it was your feelings that reaffirmed them change the way you think and feel and you reorganize your life because how you think and feel is your energy and when you change your energy you
change your life so if you're living by the same emotion as the day before as the day before as the day before as the day before then you're living by the Same energy because emotions are energy and motion so if your energy is the same as the day before as the day before as the day before your energy is Frozen it's stale there's no new energy and how could anything shift in your life so when you're turning on that figh ORF flight nervous system to mobilize all this energy and you keep doing it over and
over again all of the troops are fighting a war in the external environment and there's no energy for The internal environment there's no energy for long-term building projects there's no energy for growth and repair and so what happens all systems go on the funk what happens to the immune system if you keep mobilizing all this energy for the fight ORF flight nervous system cortisol punches holes in the immune system two cancer cells get together and they say hey let's start a family nobody's here to take care of us they're all fighting the war over there
There's no Homeland Security there's no there's nobody there there's no energy for long-term building projects and so everything from rheumatoid arthritis to Multiple Sclerosis to diabetes to the common cold the cancers all all immune mediated and it's all created by the chemicals of stress so if you're turning on the fight ORF flight nervous system and you're pumping all that blood to your extremities and your heart is racing and Your respiratory rate is changing but you're not throttling your boss or you're not running to the Bahamas and you're just that chemistry is running do you think
that over time you'll condition your heart to race on its own high blood pressure tachicardia arrhythmias if you're turning on the fight ORF flight nervous system and you're squirting out all that liquid energy but you're not running from a tiger cuz that was really adaptive at One time but now it's pretty maladaptive and all that liquid energy makes its way into your muscles that's called pain and 80% of our culture lives in pain if you turn on the figh ORF flight nervous system over and over again and you squirt out all this adrenaline would you
agree in time there's not going to be much adrenaline left and you're going to be fatigued and tired and weak and unclear and if you're squirting all that adrenaline out over and over again and It's pushing all of the energy to your extremity so you can fight or you can run there's no energy for metabolism I don't care if you're the most organic food combining Specialist of macrobiotics that prays over your food for 2 hours if you're not under the other nervous system to digest that food you will never break any of that food down
because there's no energy to break it down and That's Aid reflux and constipation and diverticulitis it's a timing issue and those chemicals then what do you think about infertility you think someone's going to want to grow a baby when they're they're under the idea that their their Village you know subconsciously is being threatened it's not time to grow a baby infertility is just the result of chronic stress and in our Clinic we work with so many women that can't get pregnant and we just Teach them how to break the stress response and lo and behold
they recalibrate now naturally cuz now they have the environment to grow a baby so then if those chemicals of stress give you a rush of energy that's addictive and those emotions are anger and aggression and hatred and judgment and fear and anxiety and hopelessness and powerlessness and depression sadness guilt shame those are the effects of Those stress hormones long term and psychology calls that the normal states of conscious that's Altered States Of Consciousness the Altered States my name is Liz Dawn and I'm with celebrate your life events and the presentation that you've been listening to
was recorded live at one of our celebrate your life conferences and this program was created exclusively for Evan's audience and I'm super thrilled to share this information with you so come check us out take a Look at all of our Retreats and programs and conf that we have to offer click the link below and hopefully I'll see you in person all right now let's get back to the presentation and if those chemicals are addictive and we use those chemicals to reaffirm our addiction and we use the people in our life and the conditions in our
life to reaffirm our anger to reaffirm our guilt it's just so that we can feel something because God forbid we Don't feel anything and if you can turn on the stress response just by thought alone and those chemicals are addictive then we become addicted to our own thoughts I'm Gonna Get You Out of This don't worry about it so we're at the drama stage now what is it karma no trauma drama so then would you agree then that layer by layer by layer by layer we wear these emotions that keep us connected to the past
and is that who We really are no that is what we've become con condition to believe we think we are and when people describe themselves and they say I'm guilty because of this event that happened to me 10 years ago or I'm sad because of this event that happened to me 40 years ago or I'm angry at my father because of this event that happened to me 35 years ago what you're really saying is I am neurologically chemically and electromagnetically bound to my past and You can't create a new future holding on to the past
so if you have a reaction to something in your life and you allow that chemical reaction to linger over time just hours to days that's called the mood what's wrong with him oh he's in a mood why are you in a mood this thing happened to me 4 days ago and I'm memorizing my emotional reaction you keep it going for weeks or Months that's called the temperament why why is she so sad oh she just has a shy sad temperament why are you so sad oh this thing happened to me 5 months ago and I'm
living by the same emotional reaction and if you keep it going for years on end that's called a personality trait and would you agree then in order to change our personality and by the way our personality creates our personal reality you have to look at the emotions that you've memorized that become part Of your identity and it's those stress emotions that tag us as the most significant because it's those traumatic events that we don't look to see if there's a way to overcome and a memory without the emotional charge is called wisdom and that's the
name of the game here and if you can't retire that emotion then would you agree then the Soul can't create anything new because you're still connected to the past if you're living by that emotion so those Emotions then drive your thoughts and drive your behaviors which drive more thoughts that drive more behaviors and that becomes your personality so most people's personalities are anchored to the past so the brain then is organized to reflect everything you know in your life your brain is a record of your past your brain is a a a a artifact of
your experience in life and it's shaped and molded neurologically by the people you know the things you own the places you Live the different times all the experience you've had your brain is organized to reflect your environment so then is it possible then to begin to assemble new networks of neurons in your brain so that your brain looks like it is now a map to the Future Neuroscience says it's possible I'm going to show you pictures of that in a second and can you signal the gene ahead of the actual experience so much so that
your body Begins to believe that that future event is happening right now and your body as the unconscious mind is literally changing to look like that future is now EP genetics says it's possible now you and I have been hypnotized and conditioned into believing that we need a reason for joy that we need a reason for gratitude that's cause and effect something outside of you you wait for it to happen And once it happens then you give thanks that's Newtonian law cause and effect Quantum model says you got to give thanks ahead of the experience
because what is the emotional signature of gratitude what is the emotional signature isn't it gratitude mean the event has already happened we've had people in our workshops have healed themselves of Ms during a meditation because they began to give thanks ahead of their healing so Much so that their body began to believe it was done and they coupled it with a clear intention and the Brain didn't know the difference between the actual experience out there and what was going on in their mind that experience produced an emotion and they moved into a new state of
being and The Giver of Life responds to who you're being so when I got back on my feet after my accident I remember laying in my bed one night I couldn't Sleep and I said if I'm ever able to walk again I'll spend the rest of my life studying this phenomenon that's my promise so after I was able to walk again I couldn't really go back to the same life I just was not the same guy any longer I couldn't even relate to my friends any longer cuz I had been the places they hadn't and
so I started I took a little time and I took a spiritual journey and then I started studying people with spontaneous Remissions people that were diagnosed with cancer and diabetes and high blood pressure and chronic pain and Ms and they were treating conventionally and unconventionally they were staying the same or getting worse and all of a sudden they got better I wanted to know how they got better so I traveled to 17 different countries and I interviewed a lot of people to find out the commonalities and when I found out the commonalities that's when I
wrote the First book evolve and I wanted to demystify it into a formula because if something happens once in science that's called an incident but if two events happen that are co-related that's called a coincidence but if it starts happening three and four and five and 10 times now we're looking at a trend we're looking at a law that's something that's repeatable scientifically so I found these common Things and then after I found the commonalities and um we were able to mark them then I wanted to know if we could reproduce them wouldn't that be
a good thing to see so we started teaching these workshops around the world and that's exactly what happened we have had people heal themselves of all kinds of conditions just by changing how they think and feel and when they became somebody else and were broadcasting a new electromagnetic signature their Chemistry was altered their neurology was changed they were no longer branded neurologically to the past or emotionally tacked down to the past they were already living in the future they were ahead of their time and that's by the way what Martin Luther King did and William
Wallace and Joon ofar they were already ahead of their time everybody else was waiting for the sensory experience and they were they were in the dream they were it already happened For them Nelsa Mandela is my hero every day of his life the first 10 years of his life you know what he said to himself I'm never going to get out of here never going to get out of here never going to get out of here was angry as heck never going to get out of here after 10 years he was looking out of his
cell and all of a sudden he said it was like my heart spoke to me and said said what if you could get out of here and he said what if I could get out of here What if I could get out of here what if I could get out of here what if I could get out of here and he started to ask himself that qu how could I make a difference so he started writing letters to the United States am I making a difference can I lead a nation can I lead a nation
how would I have to be to lead a nation he overcame his conditions he deserves to lead a nation there is an ounce of malice in that man's body that's a hero he overcame his Adversity so then can you believe in a future that you can't see or experience with your senses yet but you've thought about enough times in your mind that your brain is literally changed to look like the event has happened Neuroscience says it's possible and can you emotionally Embrace a future reality before your senses do so much so that your body begins
to believe that that future event is happening to you now and you're signaling new genes and new ways And your body is beginning to physically change to look like the event has happened because if you can your brain and body are no longer a record of the past now they're a map to the Future and living by that law is living by the quantum law and Quantum law says your environment is an extension of your mind and if you truly change your mind there should be evidence in your life why else would we do this
and it should come in a way that you would never expect why does It have to come in a way that you never expect you can expect it it's nothing new it's more the same it's got to rock your world you're co-creating with a field of intelligence that's going to organize events in a way that you haven't thought of because if you thought of it you would have done it now wouldn't you so layer by layer we wear these emotions that keep us connected to the past and we create this Gap between how We appear
to the world and how we really feel inside of us and how we appear to the world is how we present ourselves a facade or an image an identity that's connected to the people we know and the things we do and the places we live and the things we own the different times in our life this is a image but how we really feel inside is what we're hiding we don't want anybody to see that and the bigger the Gap the more emotions we memorize the bigger the addiction and This works really great for the
first 40 Years of your life because you could use your environment you know you go to school you go to college you make friends you get married you get divorced you have pets they die you get new pets you get cars you get new houses all of this works really well to distract you from this feeling and all of a sudden there comes a moment where nothing's making this feeling go away you know what I'm talking about now don't you and This is when the soul begins to give you the nudge and say you got
to wake up man you can't keep this lie going this is spinning plates and everybody's doing the same thing because nobody wants anybody to know how they really feel and some people look down at that feeling and they tell the truth they say I don't know what love is I don't even know if I love you uh you know what I certainly don't love your [Laughter] Parents I don't want to go out with those people that are a bunch of are fakes what is God what am I doing this all for what is life meaning
you know what does it mean they start beginning to look at that feeling and they break their emotional agreements and ties with everybody in their life you know what I'm talking about we have emotional agreements we have emotional bonds with everybody what's your name Lisa Lisa hey I'm Joe where you from Chicago Place Chicago I have friends from Chicago people do you know Fran pasquali say yes I know BR Pasqual person place you've been to that wedding it I was at that wedding you at that wedding I was at that wedding and you like fast
cars yeah and I like Zumba you like Zumba I love Zumba and if we share the same experiences do we share the same emotions come on we do right and if we share the same emotions we share the same energy And just like two atoms that are sharing electrons which are just a field of information we are sharing information and we are bound beyond space and time and as long as you don't change we are going to have a great [Laughter] relationship so then listen we are electromagnetic beings you are more energy than you are
particle and you are bound to every person emotionally every every place in Your life because as you interact and experience your environment you smear your energy all over it and the people in your life that you interact with if you have a person that you get to hang out and complain with and be victims with you got a nice Bond going there and all of a sudden you're going to show up and not complain any longer what is wrong with you you hurt my which means I can't use you any Longer to reaffirm my addiction
I'm so sorry and so then people begin to break their emotional bonds with everybody in their life up here that are all living this lie and they begin to look at those emotions and they begin to see who they really are because at the end of your life Geniuses you could be the richest person the most popular person the most successful person the most beautiful person that's all this and your Environment goes away what are you left with that feeling right there and you haven't evolved it all in one Lifetime and the Soul then creates
the same circumstances and the same genetics for you to come back and give it another shot in the same conditions and that's called karma see we're not punished for our sins we're punished by our sins which means then karma is happening every day free yourself from the chains of the Past and you liberate energy and as you begin to close the gap between how you appear and who you are every time you unemori and now you have available energy to create a destiny with because now the emotion is no longer used to keep you bound
to the past it is now the fuel to create your future now this is the midlife crisis you know what I'm talking about because what do other people do they don't want to look at this emotion so What do they do they buy things right they try to reinvent themselves by using their environment they buy the sports car they buy the boat they they go to join the new Social Club and meet all the new people that are supposed to be so important they find out that they're worse off than they are they go on
to a new place on a vacation but when the novelty wears off there's that feeling again and then the The next layer is addictions drugs and alcohol shopping overeating gambling undereating video gaming pornography something to make this feeling go away immediately and when that feeling goes away immediately you pay attention to what caused it and you begin to create a neurological connection to that thing a dependency but here's the problem the receptor sites on the outside of those cells they get desensitized from all those pleasure chemicals so they to Calibrate themselves to a higher level
so you got to use a little more drug the next time a little more shopping little more gambling a little bit more video gaming to get the same high and so as we begin to recalibrate higher and higher in the absence of any substance we can't find pleasure in anything and so now we become more addicted to things in our environment but now the great work is lighting a match in a dark place just looking down At that emotion and beginning to realize that you're here for that your karma is that emotion and you're creating
the same life because as long as that emotion is driving your thoughts you keep recreating your past and that's all karma is and the gene is equal to your karma because it's equal to the emotion which is the information from the environment and if your parents experienced the same emotions and didn't Overcome them and then you're raised by the same people with the same propensities then the gene is turned on it's selected and now we are caught in our own Jael but when you begin to its mind becomes your mind its nature becomes your nature
and you become more like it more loving more giving more caring more conscious more willful because that's its mind and as we begin to remove these emotions and masks that Block the flow of this intelligence we begin to experience our own sense of Freedom our own sense of empowerment and our own sense of joy for life and I call that the natural state of being instead of that altered state of being I'm going to show you some slides now so we know that you control your destiny right 23 genes by moving into an elevated mood
turning on new genes turning off old genes that's all right that was the voice in everybody's Head all the way there you go 23 genes find yourself in the group now you're in there [Music] somewhere I like this group uh-oh somebody's happy watch their faces I want you to watch how much energy it takes to be [Music] unhappy now you see him on the other Train now you have a thought these thoughts fire in your brain as they fire in your brain they produce a level of mind because mind is the brain in action once
you have a level of Mind where these circuits begin to work in tandem it stimulates the forebrain and you get an image in your brain and you because you make thought more real than anything else you get a hologram that hologram becomes the internal representation and your body begins to respond as if that Event is happening so as the neocortex the thinking brain begins to Signal the chemical brain or the lyic brain you begin to produce a neurochemical response in your body signals TR travel down the central nervous system the pituitary releases a type of
peptides those peptides then make their way all the way down to the adrenal glands as the adrenal glands turn on it's the third Energy Center there's a rush of energy that's created in the body and The brain and body wake up momentarily as you begin to broadcast a new electromagnetic signature which means make my day as you begin to feel that way those feelings drive your thoughts and as they drive your thoughts guess what happens they turn on a different set of networks that produce a similar level mind and as those firing wiring takes place
your hardwiring your brain into the personality that's connected to that state of emotion and then as you Produce that level of mind then it reaffirms who you think you are and as you begin to reaffirm who you think you are the Hologram is reinforced as the Hologram is reinforced you send a signal to the lyic brain and the lyic Brain then turns on the neurochemical response to the body and now the body is getting the emotional quotient now the adrenal glands get signaled again and you begin to feel more Angry yes and now you get
that Rush of energy it's a little bit More addictive and now an addiction is something that feels good while you're doing it and feels bad when you stop you want to take a test to see if you're angry you ready think of a time in your life when you were angry what if I came up to you and said hey I know you're angry why don't you stop what would you say to me don't say it so then can you see how this cycle can go on at infinitum yes I'll stop it here how About
this one this is you begin to think thoughts that are related to your state of guilt and as you begin to turn on different networks of neurons in your brain you produce a level of Mind equal to that you get a signal in the forbrain you begin to reaffirm an identity of who you think you are the internal picture becomes more real than the external environment you get an image of who you think you are that signal then begins to make its way to the lyic brain the lyic Brain then produces a different batch of
chemicals different type of peptides to Signal different hormonal centers in your body and as that information makes its way to the body neurochemically you activate a different Energy Center and you begin to activate the digestive glands because when you feel guilty you always feel it in that tummy don't you and you begin to signal that information into that area you turn on that second Energy Center the digestive glands get The information you begin to secrete all kinds of hormones now you're feeling more like that person and you're broadcasting a signal saying send me more reasons
to feel guilty as you begin to send that signal back up to your brain it reaffirms a different set of neurological networks and people do this all day long every single day and we call that an identity and the redundancy of this cycle conditions the body to become the mind of guilt now the body is Trained to live in a state of guilt you get the idea so we have three brains then that allow us to go from thinking to doing to being each one of these brains is their own individual bio computer with their
own sense of time and space their own neuros circuitry their own physiology their own chemistry their own Anatomy they are three independent systems working as one the lyic brain uh the neocortex is that yellow brain out there with all the Folds and valleys it's the biggest right underneath it about the size of an apricot is the limic brain the chemical brain and then behind it in red is the cerebellum it's the seed of the subconscious it's also called The Reptilian Brain the oldest brain that we have now your brain is made up of some 100
billion neurons if you took 100 billion sheets of paper and you stack them on top of each other it would be 5,000 miles long that's the distance From Los Angeles to London but these neurons actually communicate between each other and the neocortex is the seat of your conscious awareness and it loves to gather information and every time you learn something new you make a new synaptic connection in your brain that's what learning is learning is forging new connections so you read the book on how to ride a bicycle how to build a dog house how
to dance the salsa how to cook Mandarin Cuisine and your brain upscales its Hardware to reflect a new level of Mind as you begin to Fire and wire those circuits the principal in Neuroscience says that nerve cells that fire together wire together your brain did this today if you learn something new it reorganized itself to reflect your new level of mind and once they fire and wire together then they begin to form long-term relation ships so if learning is making synaptic connections then we Could say that remembering is maintaining or sustaining those connections and as
those neurons develop a long-term relationship the more they communicate the more bonded they become and that's exactly how the relationship works the less they communicate the less bonded they become so we begin to hardwire our neurons into circuits but they don't exist independently like this they exist more in a network and these are what's called neural networks what Neuroscientists affectionately call them they're just gangs of neurons that have fired and wired together to form a community of neurosynaptic connections and it can be related to a thought an idea a skill a memory Behavior it's just
neurons that now reflect a level of mind but actually they're electric and you want to see a thought ready there you go want to see it again you generate 4 million bits of information in your brain every single second more Electrical activity more impulses than all the cell phones on the planet put together and you're not getting it from the candy bar you ate before you got in here either it's coming from the field now those networks of neurons are called neural networks they begin to organize themselves into patterns the speed of neurological transmission is
roughly around 150 to 250 mph some faster than others now when you have a new experience now gangs of Neurons organize themselves to reflect the event that's a new experience when you have that new experience then as your brain begins to pick up information as it begins to get all this vital sensory data from the environment the the neocortex begins to organize itself but then the lyic brain produces a chemical and that chemical that's coming out of lyic brain is called the feeling how many people understand that you getting Smarter so feelings now begin to
Signal the body if thoughts are the language of the brain feelings are the language of the body so you read the book on compassion by the dolly llama you're totally inspired by the book you're running around your life telling everybody you need to be more compassionate look at you over there you need to loosen up and you know you start becoming the philosopher in your life but when you take that information and You apply it or you personalize it or demonstrate it it means you got to do something with what you learn you got to
change your actions and if you change your actions aren't you going to have a new experience new experience is going to begin to organize networks in your brain to reaffirm and enrich the circuits you learned intellectually then emotionally begin to Signal the body to teach the body what the mind is intellectually understood you begin to Emotionally and chemically signal the body so you begin to embody knowledge so the co-worker that told you off three months ago you still have a grudge with them and every time you see them you react because you had a stressful
event with them but you know what whether you're being chased by a lion or you're seeing your coworker you turn on the same physiological response as if you were being chased by the lion so what was once very adaptive now is all Of a sudden very maladaptive but it doesn't even have to be your coworker you could begin to think certain thoughts as you begin to think those thoughts and you make thoughts more real than anything else you begin to turn the body on remember those earlier pictures I showed you you begin to create the
peptides that signal the body and you knock your body out of balance just by thought alone and if stress is when your body's knocked out of balance if you Keep knocking it out of balance that imbalance becomes the new balance and now you're headed for disease so as I said the adrenal glands turn on you get a rush of energy the pupils dilate the the salv juices slow down you get a rush of energy and as your body begins to physiologically change to prepare itself for some battle what was once very adaptive is now very
Malad heart rate increases respiratory rate rate increases blood is sent to the Extremities and we get we've come to be so accustomed to the state that we think it's normal because the body's constantly living in emergency mode now let's say then as you're getting ready to face off with your coworker and you have to do a project with them instead of holding them to the past we can begin to observe our thoughts and this is called metacognition in Neuroscience as you begin to observe how You're thinking how you're behaving how you're feeling means you're no
longer the program but the Consciousness observing the program and it takes a frontal lobe the crowning achievement of the human being to do that and as you begin to watch your thoughts and observe them it means you're no longer participating them and you can cool down the circuits in your brain that are connected to the old self and if nerve cells that fire together wire together Nerve cells that no longer fire together no longer wire together and you begin to biologically break down the old self because your observation means now that you're not participating in
them and putting your energy behind them you got it so as we cool down the circuits that's connected to the old self and you read the book on compassion all of a sudden you start to think oh my God what did I read in the book let me begin to turn on those circuits in my brain to Reflect a new level of mind and as you begin to think about a new way of being as you begin to speculate possibilities the frontal lobe turns on again but this time it acts like a great Symphony leader
and it begins to activate different circuits in your brain are connected to the knowledge you learned so you say what is compassion I read the book hm what did I read and what do I remember oh I got to see myself in her yuck okay I'll give it a shot I got to Let go of the past and as you begin to remind yourself who you no longer want to be and remind yourself who you do want to be as you begin to turn these networks on tandem you're creating a new level of mind and
as you fire and wire those circuits over and over again you're installing the neurological Hardware ahead of the experience and your forebrain creates an image or a hologram of what compassion is and we could say that that picture is called Intention now there's a kind of a exchange going on neurologically in the brain and body when this happens you're firing this new thought called compassion but there's only one problem as you're firing this new thought you got all this chatter going on saying now why don't you ring her neck why don't you why don't you
get her in the in the closet and beat her up because those are all the circuits you did fire and wire that were happening behind the scenes of Your awareness now we have this amazing faculty as human beings called our will and our will is connected to our spirit and if we persist over and over again over and over again the voice of compassion will be the loudest voice in our head and once that voice is the loudest voice in the head it's signaling that neuron and if the action potential travels down the neuron the
information travels down the neuron the neuron has to be glued or sealed so you see that Purple stuff that's the glue that causes the circuit to be connected but there's only a certain amount of glue to go around so it starts to steal the glue from the neighboring circuits to seal this circuit called compassion and as it begins to seal the circuit and steal the glue from the other circuits you begin to prune away your hatred you begin to prune away your thought of strangling her you think about another way to get back at her
you're pruning those Circuits away and what's the only signal traveling to the body now compassion and by the way if you think about this if every place where one neuron connects with with another neuron is a memory would you agree then as you prune those old circuits away the memory of the old self seems like another lifetime because there's no longer any biological footprint left of the old self and where is the memory stored in the soul is wisdom and that's The name of the game and now we're free from Karma and if you want
to see it in real time unhooking from the old self reconnecting to the new s it could happen in a matter of moments so Aristotle said we are repeatedly do Excellence therefore is not an action but a habit you know how the hardest part of all of this I was saying in the lecture yesterday the hardest part of all of this is making time for your precious Self all of this information that you learned this weekend I call it dinner convers ation until you do something with it until you apply it you personalize it you
demonstrate it and you change your behavior in some way to have a new experience and the new experience causes you to embody knowledge and now you are living the truth and nobody can take it away from you but it's not enough to do it once you have to repeat it over and over Again over and over again over and over again you have to do it so many times that you neurochemically condition your body to memorize whatever thing you're working on to know as well as your conscious mind and when you do that you activate
that third brain called the cerebellum it's innate in you now it's who you are you don't even have to think about it as a matter of fact you know how you do it you just don't even know how you know how cuz you've done it so Many times that it's subconscious it's unconscious your mind inbody or one right on the other side of your pain is freedom right on the other side of your your fear is courage right on the other side of your weakness it's strength it's the same energy it's just trapped in the
body and so this is a time in history where we have to be the living example of every single change we want to see in the world you can't go to church and shake hands and say peace be with you And get out and you know hey I'm getting out out you can't do that you can't say that you are against the war and be arguing with your nextdoor neighbor that's Mind and Body in opposition we have to demonstrate every single change that we want to see in the world and when you do that you
give people permission to do the same thanks for listening to see another amazing Jo dis benza talk check out the Video right there next to me I think you'll love it continue to believe and I'll see you there to think outside the box is the force the brain to fire in new sequences and new patterns and new combinations and that concept is called neuroplastic and the brain has the ability to change throughout our entire life so if you
