We should make this video. I moved in one day. Ultimate New York City move.
I won't do that, but [music] I could. [music] Oh, hello. So, today [music] is Friday, September 19th.
The movers are coming. September 24th. So, I have 5 days to pack [music] up everything and I have a very, very busy weekend and work days ahead of me.
So, it's not like I have all the time in the world. Anyways, I figured if inspiration strikes, you should get a little bit done. So, let's let's pack up a few things here.
I'm also in the middle of filming another video, but I wanted to take a break and do something a little different. [music] All right, these are all mine. Oh, look how cute.
This is from one of my friends, Dan. It's a teacup with a turtle. And there is that cute.
[music] What's up, turtle gang? We're making progress. Everything has to get a little crazy before it gets organized, but we're filling up bag one by one down here, too.
A bunch of my books and my my things. Anything else? What do you think?
No more insights. I'll cut it out if you say something. Okay.
All right. Without further ado, check in soon. We'll be further along.
And yeah, [sighs] this is a lot. Getting kind of tired. Are you?
No. Okay. All right.
>> Pause. We're making progress, guys. is if you've been around and you were here for my last move 2 years ago, I showed you these huge [music] bins that have just been so so helpful.
They fit so much stuff. But exciting news, midpack, I just got a text from a friend of mine who has extra tickets to Chapel Road tonight [laughter] at Forest Hills. I was there a couple days ago for another concert.
It [music] is just the best venue in my opinion in New York City. It's outdoor. It's not small, but it's not huge and [music] it's just the best energy.
So, I am so excited. Point being, I need to make some progress over the next like 2 and 1/ half hours before I have to leave. It's already looking so empty.
It's crazy without [music] the couch there. All right, back to playing chapel while I pack. Play [singing] >> Tennessee.
[music] [singing] [music] That's where I belong. >> [music and singing] >> end of the weekend and oh my god, Chapel Run was so so good. It was just a really nice weekend.
As [music] I got into bed tonight, I just realized I only have three more nights in this bed. Going to make the most of it. Get some good sleep.
I have a very long day [music] of packing ahead of me. I have to edit a video all day tomorrow and then I only have one day left after that to pack up the apartment. So somehow even last time I moved, I was not self-employed.
I had a corporate [music] job. And so it kind of made sense then that things were very very last minute cuz I was working such long hours and like just [music] actually did not have time to pack until a few days before. This time I probably could have started a little sooner.
Oh well, you live and you learn. Okay, I'm actually going to bed at a reasonable hour now because I want to wake up early and get started. So, anyways, good night.
Howdy. Okay, it is a day and a half [music] before I move out of East Village. As a little work break, I thought I would come look at the doggos probably for the [music] last time.
Second to last time, but I come here all the time. I love the Tomian Square Park Doc Park. There's a lot of good inventory.
[music] I just pet that handsome boy for a few minutes and he was perfect. Sometimes when it's a tough working day and I'm out walking and I see a cute dog, I'm like, it would be good for me to pet this dog if the owner is cool with it. Release some oxytocin.
Goodbye my bodega. Goodbye LA laundry that I never use, but it's really cool. It's It's half plant store, half laundry.
Goodbye blue accented buildings. Also, I never really said it officially for safety, but I feel like it's pretty obvious based off of everything that I always film in my New York vlogs that I live in, the East Village. And if you are moving to New York for the first time, people ask me this a lot, like what neighborhoods should you consider?
I am a huge fan of the East Village and think it is just like such a good intro to New York. It is so much fun. Unlimited cuisine, coffee shops, bunch of young folks, great energy, dirty in areas, lots of rats in areas, but that's New York, baby.
That's show biz. Good morning. God, I wish I could be more chipper for you guys on my last morning here.
Well, I guess I'll be here tomorrow morning, but then the movers come. But the reality is I do not fall asleep until 4:20 a. m.
Actually, 4:20. I'm not making a joke. So, I was troubleshooting getting my video uploaded and then it's pretty funny.
It is very very predictable that if I'm on my computer uploading something or editing like late into the night, I will not be able to fall asleep for like hours after that. So, it was like that on steroids. And now I have to pack up my kind of whole life today in one day.
We should make this video. I moved [music] in one day. Ultimate New York City move.
I won't do that, but I could. I say this as though it's literally not my fault that I put it off until the last minute. Anyway, let's get this day started.
[music] [music] Got a beautiful day to pack. Small windsh. I'm not even feeling [music] that delirious yet.
I know it's going to hit me in a few hours is my guess. I actually have to work a bit before I even start packing. But uh let's open the rest of the windows first.
[music] >> But you know what? I have an ungodly amount to do. But I still think there's always time to go outside.
I'm stepping over all of my things here. >> [music] >> There ain't nothing ain't nothing going to ain't nothing going to bring us down [music] the races run. Self realization that I've already packed my espresso machine.
But good news is I have pretty much a full leftover thermos from the coffee shop I was at yesterday, which I can pour over ice. Economical. It's good coffee, too.
I wouldn't do this if this was mid coffee, but it's good coffee. I also could go buy some, but we don't have time for that. >> And I packed my creatine and all my supplements, too.
I'm going to freak out. I'm not going to be performing at my tiptop level. >> We're standing by.
>> Okay. Absolutely classic. I decided not to film me hypers speed cleaning this off.
Coffee grounds. But I'm done with the kitchen. Done.
Done. Done. I did most of it the other day with my friend of the romantic persuasion who helped me.
But yeah, now I'm like really done. I There's still room in that final box over here. Can you see?
And so I don't want to waste room in a box. And so if there's anything upstairs that could come down here or whatever, I'm going to wait to [music] tape it up. Okay.
So, I'm throwing away junk, right? And I'm kind of like, is this going to be worth something? I kind of want to save it as a relic, but I'm also like, I don't need it.
I don't need it. I'm really not good at parting ways with the trinkets. [music] >> [music] [music] >> Okay guys, couple hours later since I last took a clip and definitely making progress.
It doesn't feel like I am, but I am. Problem is, I tell myself if I just put everything in [music] this pile right here that I'll just pick away at it little by little and then I leave the whole entire pile right there. So, let's pick at it a little bit.
[music] >> It's the Led Zeppelin physical graffiti album. Kind of [music] neat. Okay, I'm taking a break for dinner.
Super super hungry. I'm extremely irritable right now. I'm not going to lie.
The four hours of sleep are catching up to me cuz I've just kind of been going non-stop for all day and all day yesterday. It's been a stressful last few days. But I'm happy I'm going to my favorite, [music] like consistently favorite restaurant in East Village that I go to all the time and that I will still come back to even when I don't live here anymore.
It's Vietnamese [music] Hanoi House in East Village on St. Mark's. Highly recommend.
Check it for I did a great job filming before my food [music] king. >> It was really, really good. In my belly.
>> There it is again. Physical graffiti album cover. Led Zeppelin.
You know how they got their name? Critics said about the band early on that they're going to they're going to drown like a Le Zeppelin. That's how they got it.
I think that's kind of creative and fun. What if I named my YouTube channel based off a hate comment? Stupid and ugly LLC.
Dessert time. We're going to get ice cream. It's Vanluins, which they're all around the city, but that's what I want right now.
It's on Second Ab and Seventh Street. And I'm going to get the brown sugar cookie dough brownie. My usual go-to.
Is that what you're going to get to? Yay. East Village, everybody.
[music] Wait, we came here so long ago. We took a clip over there. Do you remember?
It was >> [music] >> uh at the very end of my what I spent in a week as a 26-year-old. I think time flies when you're having fun. And I also filmed here with Shervin.
There's so many memories in every corner of East Village for me for real. The neighborhood ice cream spot. [music] And we have to go back and finish packing.
We'll get done. >> Okay. Bye.
Cut. How my muscle look. No cut.
>> Okay. This is diluted content. We need to focus back to packing.
Doesn't [music] look clean, but I'm done at a record time of 10:12 p. m. But it does feel like it's 4:00 a.
m. just because I've been at this all day. But we're done and I'll actually get some sleep tonight.
They come anywhere from 9 to 11:00 a. m. tomorrow.
But wow, this is cray. class. Bye.
I was saying earlier at dinner that it's just been such a busy couple days that I haven't felt enough like levity to be able to feel nostalgic yet, but it's hitting me now that the room is empty. I just have this weird light on because took my sconces down. So, good night.
It's the day and [music] I just got the call from Piece of cake that they will be here in 15 minutes. And I just have a few more things to do like tape some final boxes together and put my sheets into a bag. So I can do that right now and then we'll be good.
[music] >> Trying to get all my bedding in one trash bag so I can just unpack it tonight. >> [music] >> But we shadow. [singing] I'm tired too.
Tell me babe, what are we [music] going to do? Cuz you got me in the back spinning [music] from the way the magic. [music] Crazy.
Wow, it's really starting to feel empty. There were so many boxes before it just didn't feel that empty. All right, I just spotted my [music] things.
There's my tool chest. Oh, yeah. Huh?
Do you know? [music] And do you know I don't want you to go [music and singing] possibly end up being you and me. Is it just me or do you feel that this could be love for real?
>> All done. There's the truck. [music] I am taking an Uber to go meet them at the new apartment.
I was going to take the subway, but they [music] would beat me if I took the subway. So Uber it is. Bringing the essentials with me.
Well, this is stuff just for my fridge. And then this I have baby, my stuffed animal. Then I have my passport in [music] my backpack.
And that's about it. [music] [music] To my second New York City apartment in my new place. Little sneak preview.
>> Hello, [music] this is Taylor. >> The place where I truly started to feel my footing in the city. And I think [music] that that speaks volumes to how special this place is.
It is not for everyone. It's really not. But it is for me.
The place where I built new friendships and deepened [music] ones that mattered the most. >> The place where I took [music] the biggest risk of my life and never looked back. I have left management consulting forever.
YouTube revenue streams. I am now a full-time creator. [music] Like for real, for real this time.
The place where small routines added up to a version of me [music] that I'm truly proud of. >> And the apartment [music] that held me steady through every upload, every pivot, every plane ride. >> It's autumn in New York City.
A [music] freezing day. Actually, below freezing day. It's springtime, [music] baby.
Listering 92° day here in New York City. [music] Thank you for everything. I'll see you in the next one.
