what's up o doers and welcome back ever want to know how your marketing campaigns are paying off of course you do sounds like you need a marketing attribution report a marketing attribution report shows how your campaigns are impacting important kpis like lead generation attribution win rate and more the way it works is actually pretty cool first we generate UTM or urgent tracking modules during our marketing campaign these are used to track where traffic is coming from next we group and analyze the source of our leads and last but not least we generate and analyze the
report in ODU CRM app it's a very powerful technique so let's get right into it to get started we need to know how we track New Leads that are reaching us this is where all those UTM I talked about come into play UTM are special snit bits of text that get embedded into links so we can track where a visitor comes from for example if we have an ad running on YouTube during a 20% % off sale on our merchandise we could embed a UTM in only Those ads for the duration of the sale then
when a visitor clicks that particular link to visit the site we know the source and campaign that led them to visit our website ODU makes it super easy to set up UTM using the Odo link tracker to learn more about that check out our documentation in the description however right now let's jump into our database to get a closer look at marketing attribution reports in Odo here at stealthy wood we've already run a marketing campaign for our latest lineup furniture and set the UTM to track where our customers came from now we want to look
at how well it's done let's start by heading into the CRM application and from here we can see our opportunity pipeline over here in the search bar is where all the magic happens but before that we need to clear the default filter that appears in the search bar by clicking the X next to the filter name now if we click this down arrow in the search bar we can see all the different parameters we can use to narrow down our search this is how we'll be tailoring our report now of course determining on what options
are best to select here depend on your particular business needs for this video though I'm going to go ahead and show you how to set up the centenal for one of these reports but feel free to add or change parameters as needed so the first thing to look at here are the filters these can be used to select which leads we see in this report we only want to show active leads now you're probably asking yourself what gives I do not see an active option here well here's the real power of CRM coming into play
We're we're going to go ahead and click this add custom filters button to bring up a pop-up window where we can construct our own filter these options are from the database letting you create your own active rules to find the active button all we have to do is click on the first field and another popup menu appears and we can find all of our different options next we're going to go ahead and click active and by default Odo match is the next two fields to the model we selected in the first field this rule means
ODU will only select leads that have an active State set that's exactly what we want so we're just going to go ahead and click add to add this to our report criteria next we'll go ahead and decide all these leads how we want them to be organized and by the setting the group by option here in the middle this is how we group everything in our latest campaign but before we do that we need to change from the camand view to the list view by clicking this list view icon here on the right now this
lets us see everything sorted in a nice list by groups that we're about to create so to get started let's go ahead and click that drop- down menu once again and see our options the cool thing about the group ey option is they can be nested into each other letting us select multiple groups within groups let me show you how that works first I'll go ahead and select campaign then source and then country or city depending on which group is more relevant to you you'll notice in the search bar the options we just selected show
up as campaign to source to Country this means our filter groups everything by the associated campaigns first via the UTM we set up then it groups by Source such as bu search engine or newsletter and finally it groups those results by the country the lead is from and if we click into this we can go ahead and see how they are unnested this lets us see the density of active opportunities sorted by location which can be invaluable information for targeting locations that generate the largest amount of revenue for example if a billboard campaign is proving
particular success in one city we can Target our efforts in that market or on the other hand if we notice a certain country has a notable lack of successful leads we can further look into that and see where the campaign is proving to be less successful the possibilities are nearly endless to quickly come back to this report we can save it all we have to do is hit the search bar again and then click the save current search button in this favorite section then we can continue to give it a name something like marketing attribution
report and let's also go ahead and take the shared checkbox to allow others in our database to access this filter and then finally all we have to do is click save now anytime you want to pull up this filter you can simply click on the marketing attribution report button in the favorite section the list view we're in can be useful for looking at individual leads that say we want to approach a more visually easy all we have to do is switch over to our graph View using the graph button here on the right and just
like that we can see all the same information in our report as a bar graph ah looks like based on my criteria here I can see that our product marketing email is doing the most successful we can even switch to a pie chart by clicking the pie chart button here at the top and it looks like our most popular leads are coming from our search engine in the United States interesting now let's say we want to quantify this report even more we can switch over to a pivot table to see all the information and same
data in a different view we can even quickly download this data by clicking this download Excel button here and with this file we can perform even more in-depth analysis using the spreadsheet software and just like that you've created your very own marketing attribution report to better understand the impact of your marketing campaigns thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next video
