Yeah. And I think it's important that it's a specific edition of the book that you need because I remember whenever reading this, I was like, "Oh, well, I have a Daniel and Revelation book in my uh library and I go and I look at it and I remember reading on the Ellen White app some things and then I went and searched in my book and all of a sudden I couldn't find it. " Well, they made addition um more additions to the book later on past Uriah Smith's life.
So, Uriah Smith passed away I think in 1902. But then you have additions of his book in 1940 that made corrections. 1944 1944 and they just took away the stuff that he was saying.
They just took it away because it wasn't relevant. But it is relevant. His book that he wrote is relevant.
This was to be God's helping hand. Exactly. And that's why if you want to get this book, get the edition in the 1800, 1897.
Yes. 1882 these version because nothing was changed. And I want to read one last statement.
There must be no long discussion, no presenting new theories in regard to prophecy that God has already made plain plain. So when we go and we reinvent Daniel 11, she's saying don't do that. It's already made plain.
I gave the foundation to the church already. So new interpretation should be you know a question mark. Why we having new interpretation on Daniel 11?
And another statement that one was a little bit more scary because it says here those who are preparing to enter the ministry who desire to become successful students of the prophecy will find Daniel and the revelation in invaluable help. They need to understand this book. It speaks of past, present, and future.
Laying out the path so plainly that none need to heir therein. The great essential question which God would have presented to the people are found in Daniel and Revelation. Amen.
There is found solid solid eternal truth for this time. time. Everyone needs the light and information it contains.
What's amazing about the book Daniel and Revelation is that many people will make the claim, "Oh, well, this is just Uriah Smith's views. " Well, James White, who's commonly used to promote controversy against Uriah Smith, had this actually to say, "These thoughts are not the fruit of how many brains? " One brain.
In the time of the end, the revelation was to be unsealed and opened. And from the open book, light has been shining. William Miller saw much.
Others since have seen more. And this is a book of thoughts clothed in the author's happy style, plain yet critical and practical, coming down to the spiritual wants of the common people, yet elevated and dignified. This standard work should be in the library of every believer.
Some believers No, every believer. And so how did this book come to be? You know, this was the fruit of many thoughts, right?
The fruit of many. But how did this book come to be? In 1872, 5 years after Thoughts on the Revelation was printed, a companion volume, Thoughts on Daniel, was issued and announced for sale on December 31st, 1872.
This two quite largely represented the single study joint study right of Able Bible students after passing through several editions as single volumes. The two companion books in 1881 appeared as a combined work called Thoughts on Daniel and the Revelation. Wow.
So this was built by multiple people studying it. This was built on people coming together and studying the word of God. It's what we were doing in regards to many doctrines.
We had to challenge each other like, hey, you know, I don't know if this fits here. Maybe we need something else. Maybe there's some more light.
Maybe there's something that we missed. But it was this constant studying together and the importance of that cannot be overstated. We need to study together.
And if I can interject, Nick, um that's what the pioneer used to do. They used to study together. So you can have your idea about this chapter and that chapter.
But when you come with another brother that's studying or another sister, you're being challenged. And if we're using the same book, we will find out the truth. We will go back to the platform that was laid for us.
And as we're doing that, we're going much faster. Instead of me reading the book by myself, get in the group of three or four people, take the book of Daniel, revelation, the pioneer, Ellen White, the Bible, and say, "What did you learn today? " Use your social media to help each other get the truth.
In couple of months, we Alan White says we have to unlearn to relearn in few months. And if we get together and we do these things, we will get back on the platform. And I think it's a it's a good way actually to stay away from error cuz we're always challenging each other.
Yep. You know, one person comes with a theory and m and the other challenges it and it just keeps us in line. Yeah.
You know, when we keep doing that. So, I think it's definitely a good model just like the upper room experience, right? um 1888 um Ellen White talks about that as they were together that's how the latter was going to fall as they were studying together.
So we see a a lot of times in the Bible and even in the writings of Ellen White the pioneers how coming together studying together is what helped them to move forward in the movement and we saw this week from McKenzie that doctrine will falls as rain. So if we keep studying the rain will fall and people will come to us. Now what about this?
What about the Sunday law? What about the eastern question? What about diet?
What about this? And the gospel will be preached and Jesus will come. Amen.
Amen. We read one statement by Ellen White endorsing the eastern question. The world is stirred with the spirit of war.
Do we see that now? Yes. The prophecy of the 11th chapter of Daniel has nearly reached is complete fulfillment.
Soon the scene of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. And now on the eastern question, Sunday morning, the weather was still cloudy. But before it was time for the people to assemble, the sun shone forth.
Boats and trains poured their living freight upon the ground. As the case last year, Elder Smith spoke in the morning upon the Eastern question. Eastern question.
The subject was of special interest and the people listened with the most earnest attention. It seems to be just what they wanted to hear. So Daniel 11 is plain language, no symbol.
And if we preach not only the Sunday law but the eastern question people going to be like now I understand what's happening in the Middle East the national Sunday law project 2025 all these things. So we really have to present these things to the people. But if we change the foundation, guess what?
We halfway on certain truth and we are not settled. But all the truth has been already laid. So it's very important.
So I don't know guys if you want to say something. And what struck out to me is whenever you read from Ellen White that the prophecy of the 11th chapter was already fulfilled. Now some people will say that this was fulfilled uh up to the point of say the 40th verse.
But if we were to take the context of what she's saying here and the context of what was the interpretation in her day, then it would actually be all the way up to verse 44. These verses were fil fulfilled all the way up to verse 44. And what's also amazing, and we're going to touch upon this here in a little bit, which was the subject was of special interest.
Keep that in the back of your head. We're going to be mentioning it again because this is very important what Ellen White is stating here.
