hello and welcome to our video on how to test and demonstrate oh do are you about to start the pre-sales phase with the prospect will you need to demonstrate a generic flow or a more tailored flow maybe already quite advanced in your sales process and you need to deliver a proof of concept or maybe you're just starting out and you want to test some of those features or configurations internally whatever the intended use case there are various ways you can access odio Enterprise to test and demonstrate it in today's video we're going to cover our
online version we're gonna cover our downloadable version our cloud platform and then finally we're going to talk about oh do run bot as well as our quick access demo instance so firstly our online version of oh do oh do online is also called oh do sass and it's an easy way for you to try and use oh do for your demonstrations our SAS provides you with a quick access private instance which can be used just for discovering and testing oh do but it's also great to do non code customizations for your demos without having to
install them locally our SAS is also a good option to demonstrate Odo's native solution this database is going to start out free but after 15 days it will have to be paid for if you wish to continue using it so if you think you're going to need longer than 15 days to prepare the database or you wish to give your customer access then it may not be the best solution for you just note that our online version is incompatible with custom modules now creating a SAS database is really easy you simply select all the modules
you'll need you set a URL with your clients company name add the contact details and that's it you can also share access to this database with your potential customers easily because you just have to provide them with the URL and login credentials now it's worth noting that on SAS databases you can install demo date demo data instantly this is particularly useful if you plan to show a generic demonstration each module has data which will allow you to show almost every feature within odoo and the exact steps to create an online database are displayed on the
right hand side of this slide and the steps to install demo data are in the gray box at the footer for your reference later on so to sum up you'll need to assess what are you trying to achieve in the short term as well as what are you trying to achieve in the longer term before creating an Adu database this way now the downloadable version of ODU Enterprise this is usually the preferred choice for partners simply because you can create demo databases that can evolve over time as your sale process moves forward our downloadable version
of odoo enterprise can be hosted on your preferred servers or it can be downloaded locally on-premise depending on your needs this self hosted version is great if you need the flexibility to add custom modules or if you think you might need to do some developments for your customer another big convenience of this version is that the demonstration databases you create will remain active for 30 days by entering your partnership subscription code and it can then be extended for an additional 30 days using this same key now beyond these additional 30 days your customer will need
to purchase a license so follow the steps on the right hand side of this slide to download or do enterprise and if you need help with installing odoo on different operating systems or you want to learn how to access the source code then you can refer to our extensive documentation on the subject which is publicly available via our website Oh - Sh now Oh - SH is a powerful platform to help you manage your existing oh do projects with Oh - Sh you and your end users can easily test your developments you can clone a
branch to work locally you can fork a branch to develop new features you can merge these features or projects if you need and you can install custom modules and you can do so all in one centralized location databases on ODU SH have a life span of 15 days so if you need more time to test developments and features with your clients you can back up the database before the 15 days are up then upload it again and you left 15 more days to continue running your tests for your reference the steps to do this are
added to the footer of the slide in the gray box now if you want something more permanent then simply guide your customer towards buying a knowdo license with o2 SH access Oh - SH is definitely worth considering so you can see a simple guide to setting yourself up with Oh - Sh on the right hand side of this slide but you can find more details on how and when to use Oh - SH in the partner portal and via the URL Oh do Sh now let's talk about ODIs demo instance Oh do's demo instance is
excellent if you need lightning fast access to all the applications with pre-installed data so if you want to quickly test a configuration a feature or a business blow for yourself or for your team or maybe you have an unscheduled demo with a potential or maybe even an existing client then this is by far the fastest way to quickly access a demo database there are no registration forms it automatically includes all the modules so you don't have to install them and demo data is already loaded which is ideal for ultra quick plug-and-play access if you want
to access this demo data you just need to enter the URL demo door oh do calm it's that simple but be aware this is meant for quick test or demonstration as soon as you close your browser it's gone so information is available there finally oh do run bot oh do run bot is a server which hosts different installed editions and branches of odo it's an open platform and anyone can access it to see what is being worked on or if you just want to test and the features of oh do more generally it's great because
it allows you to play with any version of odo almost all the latest builds of odo are available and each build has all modules installed with demo data you can also access development and testing versions if you want owners run bot can be very useful during your development routine if you want to test the latest builds of Voodoo or you want to test the upcoming version of o do you can do this fire run bot oh do calm you select the repository you need then you select the version you need then you clicked on the
