so ladies and gentlemen one of the biggest limiting beliefs that I see most agency owners have when they first start out is I'm 16 I'm 17 18 19 20 hell I'm even 25 why would business owners take me seriously and you know why would they take me seriously considering how young I am now this is something as I see that it's it's very very cancerous and really just stops a lot of people from building a six and multi six-figure business when you know it was right in front of them so with a lot of things
in this world sometimes it's just easier to sometimes it's just easier to believe something if it makes it easier on us to accomplish you know it's easier to believe that you know age actually doesn't make a difference if that means that you know you're gonna be more confident when you go out you pitch businesses and you close clients but what I want to do in this video is I want to objectively assess whether age does matter all right because it said it's super easy for me to say you know education doesn't matter or age doesn't
matter or this thing doesn't matter that thing doesn't matter but without as I said objectively assessing you know why does it not matter then you know I guess it's kind of just hearsay me you know me telling you that so you know one thing that I would kind of compare it to is and for whatever reason I needed you know I needed a proposal or maybe let's just say I was writing a book I need a book I need a book and I needed someone to type write the book you know I needed a script
but it couldn't be you know typed out and then print it out it had to be created on a typewriter what sort of age person do you think I would look for you know do you think I would look for a teen or a 20 year old to help me you know create this this document that needed to be type righted no I look for someone who's you know maybe 50 60 70 80 you know I'm not sure when you know typewriters became obsolete but you get my point here now the thing with online marketing
and online advertising in general is at the moment it's kind of it's kinda like eh one out of the world you know it's kind of this thing that all business owners know they need to do but don't quite exactly know how and that's really where you come into the picture so as I said when business owners are when business owners are are thinking you know I know I have this problem which is I'm not using online marketing whether that's you know Facebook Ads Google Ads just general social media marketing which you know I refer to
that as creating content distributing it and really really helping you with your social or my you know there's a this entire plethora of services that you can offer a client so when they're assessing you know when they come to a realization that I need to fix this and I need to do this and I need to plug this hole in my business otherwise you know there's tons of opportunity costs involved you know I'm losing money to my competitors because they're doing this and I'm not when they come to that realization you know what they're gonna
do is they're gonna think who is the right person that can help me and in the same way the first thing that I look at when you know in that example I gave you the first thing I look at what I think you know who could help me if I needed something typewritten I'd think back to a time or a generation or just a you know a period a period or a decade where people that was the normal people use that so that's why us as you know you know people in their teens or their
20s or potentially even their 30s the funny thing is when you go into businesses it's actually looked at as an advantage you know so the the younger you are and you know I'd say if you're 11 12 13 then maybe you know you might struggle but in all fairness I've actually seen 12 and 11 year olds out there closing couple grand a month social media marketing so honestly I think these days there's genuinely no excuse but the funny thing is you know and I know personally because I've been like flung around and I [ __
] hate it when they do this but I've been flung around is this like wonder kid wonder boy of marketing with these you know because I'll have a client of mine I'll have a client of mine and they'll introduce me to you know they'll refer me to someone else and they'll refer me to someone else and a long time they're like oh you have to meet this you know this really young guy Eman bah blah this guy's like you know and this is more of my corporate clients this is more of some of the corporate
clients I've dealt with you know the the clients that I know a lot better know that I would [ __ ] hate something like this but you know they'll refer me as oh you know you need to meet this wizkid blah blah and the funny thing is as I said my age actually helps me it doesn't deter me alright and that's kind of uh that's kind of the real cool thing with social media marketing now if you were starting an accounting firm an accounting firm then if you were starting an accounting firm or you were
starting a you know a consulting business on mergers you know company mergers obviously is the issue of you know if you're like twenty-two how many mergers how many mergers would you have actually helped go through but with other businesses like that or other areas of expertise like that I just don't think in your team's or your 20s you can get away with having a very successful business but as I said online marketing at the moment is kind of like this eighth wonder you know it's kind of this thing where businesses are just starting in a
catch up and they're just starting to realize how much money they're leaving on the table by not doing it and once they realize how much money they're leaving on the table by not doing it they are starting to look for people that could help them and when they're looking for people that can help them as I said they're looking for people who grew up with that the reason if I needed something type written for whatever reason you know the reason I would go to someone who was brought up that you know I would go to
someone who's in their 40s 50s 60s 70s is because they grew up with that right so most of these most these business owners that you're trying to reach out to they didn't grow up with social media they didn't grow up you know they didn't grow up with social media but most of them didn't even grow up with the internet right so when they look at you they actually see that as an advantage not a disadvantage now I will say I previously said this if you're 12 13 14 you know yeah you might struggle a little
know I started my social media marketing journey when I was 16 and that's when I closed my first couple clients and I didn't really struggle with it as I said I don't really struggle with it because you know if they were like oh you you're young what do you know well I'm like I know a lot because I grew up with this whereas you know you've just started yeah you know I grew up with this and I'm on these platforms that I'm pitching to you every single day I'm on Instagram every day I'm on YouTube
every day and now obviously at this point my agency only sells paid traffic services so you know I don't use that same pitch anymore but you know it was a very compelling pitch you know because I was you know they say they refer to as eating your own dog food right I practice what I preach you know or eat eat your own cooking right so you know really really just to summarize it I want to keep this video quite short is there has never been a better time to get into digital marketing online marketing because
online marketing for me and that's why that's why I said I've seen this with a bit of reluctance I was about to say that's why I chose it well I mean our friends I didn't really choose social media marketing I kind of stumbled upon it and then I actually kind of figured out that it's a real business like I didn't really realized the business model at the time that I first signed my first client but you know later on I came to realize it and later on I came to realize just how lucky I was
finding it because what social medium are to do it allow me to break down all age barriers all experience barriers you know an objection that I get a long time is you never want to you never went to university or a college for marketing so what could you know right and that was a very very simple objection to squash you know I just be like well here's the thing if I were to if I went to college or university to study marketing marketing you know all that marketing it becomes obsolete within six or twelve or
potentially twenty four months you know so if I went to university for marketing you know to learn online marketing three years ago every single thing that I would have learned will become will become obsolete and because I don't have an education or you know any certification in you know in digital marketing or I don't even know if they they teach that university is to be us but because I don't have any certifications in digital marketing or you know I don't have a marketing degree I'm learning every single day whereas the you know the chief marketing
officer they think they know everything there is to know about marketing you know that's kind of that's kind of one of the issues with a college degree as it gives you this false sense of entitlement almost like you accomplished something when you know you've just read about it so you know that's the cool thing about digital marketing is it squashes or it really just breaks the barriers and the boundaries when it comes to your age you know age really doesn't matter now one thing I would say is I think 40 or 50 the funny thing
is that can be an advantage to you can know that well I have experience I've experienced in the traditional marketing world and I have experience in generally the business world and I know about online marketing so the cool thing is no matter what age you are you can kind of play it off as an advantage if you're young you're the young person who's grown up with this it's all you know it's all you do it's all you think about it is your passion your area of expertise and you are seen as the expert in it
whereas if you're old and when I say old you know if you're you know at the later end of your career maybe 40 50 60 you have to you have tons of experience in business potentially have tons of experience in marketing and you know you have tons of experience in traditional marketing and you know about this whole wave of online marketing online advertising SEO as I said whatever it is whatever service that you're offering to your clients so I guess that answers your question you know when businesses find out and you know this is really
happening every single day when businesses find out an online marketing is the best way to bring return for you know to bring return for their business then they start looking for who can help me do this and when they start looking for who can help me do this they start to think about you know what people what people have literally been almost bred to do this have almost been you know they've been brought up to do this and you know it's the people like me and potentially the people like you so guys really really cool
time to be alive hopefully that answers your question and really all I can say is objectively we've kind of objectively we've really still have solidified the fact that age doesn't matter when it comes to online marketing so we've squashed that but you know if there's any other limiting beliefs holding you back in the future all I can say is just choose to believe whatever favors you you know so if you live in a slightly foreign country find a way that you can turn that limiting belief into an advantage random this is gonna be a little
bit of a side tangent but you know potentially if you live you live in for example you know somewhere where the cost of living is cheaper let's just say Brazil if you live in Brazil and you're like oh you know why would why would someone from the United States sign someone in Brazil you know why would anyone you know why would a big company in the United States signs someone from Brazil and you know that's really eating away at you you know find a way to spin it there's almost a way to spin it in
your advantage and you know one thing that I would tell you or one thing that I would say to my clients if I in that position is you know yes I do live in Brazil and let me tell you something you know there's not much and whether this is true or not you know there must be tons and tons of fun stuff to do in Brazil but you can always spin it you know my the way I'd handle that objection is I'd say yeah you're right I do live in Brazil and I'm not gonna lie
to you there's not much to get up to here because so that's why I do this 24/7 so while you hire some well-paid person in America you know that's doing this eight hours a day because it's just a job to them I'm doing this 24/7 because I breathe you know I eat breathe and sleep this and furthermore you're gonna pay that person in America four thousand dollars a month to handle this because you know they have a higher cost of living whereas I I'll be able to do this for $2,000 a month and you know
that extra $2,000 a month you're not spending the on increased expertise or increased knowledge you're just spending that on their increased rent right whereas for me you know it only cost me $500 a month to live my dream apartment for them and you know it costs them $3,000 a month so all I can say is you know you can have your person in America you know who works a hell of a lot less than I do is a hell of a lot less passionate has a hell of a lot more distractions than I do and
who you're gonna have to pay double or triple simply because of their rent not because of their added expertise or you can hire me so guys that's how I'm gonna handle an objection like that and yeah I guess that's kind of what I want to leave you guys with is no matter what you believe your limiting belief is objectively assess whether it is a disadvantage and most the time it's not and if it is a disadvantage just find a way to spin it you know and not to say that if you live in a foreign
