Greetings everyone, Previously, we discussed what cancer is. Today, we will discuss the symptoms of cancer. How do we understand that someone may have cancer?
Or how can we suspect it? Or at least, how can we suspect that you or I may have cancer? Cancer actually has many symptoms depending on the organ.
In other words, it presents itself or manifests differently in each organ. However, there are some common symptoms of cancer. I will first discuss the symptoms that may be seen depending on the type of cancer.
For example: Weight loss: You notice that someone's weight is dropping very quickly. For example, they lose 10 kg in 6 months. They are trying to lose weight, but they are not exercising regularly or controlling their diet.
They are living a normal life. However, their weight is dropping. They are not trying to lose weight, but it is happening automatically.
They are losing a lot of weight very quickly. Another thing to be aware of is the appearance of a lump or mass anywhere on the body. This is something that was not previously there.
If a lump forms anywhere on the body, such as on the hand or elsewhere, it is important to be vigilant and seek medical attention. Here is another one, which is anemia. If the amount of blood in the body decreases for any reason, and hemoglobin decreases, we need to be suspicious.
We need to consider whether there is any type of cancer involved. However, if there is bleeding for some reason, or if someone is bleeding due to piles, then we will think about cancer later. But in that case, we will think about it when we see blood coming out of the rectum.
Again, if there is blood with a cough, then we have to think whether there is a cancer problem here. Let's come to other general symptoms that can give us an idea that we might have cancer. For example, If blood comes out of the anus for any reason, it is important to keep in mind that this could be a symptom of cancer.
If your appetite for food decreases for any reason, we should be suspicious. Whether cancer is behind it or not. There are many reasons why appetite can decrease.
But cancer is one of the reasons, and we should keep that in mind. If you have difficulty swallowing food for any reason, whether it is solid or liquid food. In other words, if you are having trouble swallowing food or water, you should keep in mind that it could be a symptom of cancer.
For those who have been suffering from gastritis for a long time and those patients who are suddenly losing weight, have anorexia, and jaundice or general jaundice in the stomach, we need to keep in mind the organs that are around the liver. I have said that if blood comes out through the rectum, we need to understand if it is colon or cancer. However, colon cancer does not usually present with blood.
Rather, it is seen to be similar to stomach cancer. That is, the body weight is decreasing. Blood is decreasing.
Hemoglobin is decreasing. Anemia is occurring. I don't feel like eating.
These are the things that it presents with first. Later, it is seen that a lump may come in the upper right side of the abdomen. Just as you should worry if you see a lump in your breast.
"Other parts of the body, like other cancers, have a cancer called sarcoma, which is actually a cancer of muscle and other tissues. You will see that there are other cancers in different parts of your hands and feet, skin cancer, basalioma, and skin cells that can develop into cancer. Again, if a lump forms in a soft spot on your body and it is not healing, then you should be suspicious.
This could be a sign of cancer.
