all right Beautiful People welcome to the first video on the course you know what I mean um yes we're going to talk about YouTube mindset just content creation mindset in general and some key factors to remember in regards of taking uh watching the videos that I have here on this platform and yeah the first thing I want to say is do not do not do do do not do not do not expect to get a viral video within a week of posting on YouTube Tik Tok Instagram don't don't expect it if it happens great but
that is not normal you know what I'm saying unless you know what you're doing or you just got super lucky that is not normal y'all be seeing people on YouTube be like oh yeah I can I can show you how to go viral and in a week and I got this vir in 24 hours and you watch the video nine times out of 10 they're selling you a course you know what I'm saying and they're probably showing you fake analytics or something or they just they just know YouTube for so long you know what I'm
saying the the chances of you replicating that is hard even for somebody who's experienced like myself who has 12 years of experience on YouTube and and and things of that nature it is difficult to pull a move like that right I had a friend named doph deie he works on like uh he's a software engineer and I helped him like launch his first YouTube video on his channel and he got 700,000 views right not normal that is not normal but I was like with my with some of my advice your chances of getting a viral
video would be better and he's a dope film uh uh videographer as well so that is um a contributing factor in why he got the views that he did and he also touched on a topic that a lot of software Engineers want to know about right I'm going show you example of the video right here so a day in the life of a software engineer right this is this is something that like every software engineer aspires to do especially ones who are like not the field and are trying or in a boot camp or things
of that nature the reason why this video did so well as his first video he posted in 2022 um is because first of all the title you know what I mean let me move this over oh Lord I'm so sorry guys stop okay there we go um the title right down here is a title that's very common on YouTube and I'll do a video on titling and how to to position yourself to get more clicks so you can improve your CTR and just have people watch your video cuz a lot of y'all be like man
I put so much effort into this video but no one's watching it it's not your fault well it is your fault but it's not your fault because there's a lot of competition on YouTube and Tik Tok and whatever you're posting on the number one thing that you have to remember is the thumbnail and and title but the title is number one over the thumbnail I'm going keep it a stack with y'all if you can get away with a bad thumbnail if you got a good title not saying to do bad thumbnails but you can do
a good title really really good title and get away with it um and as you can see a day in the life of a software engineer is one of those titles that people want to know about because it is such a such a trendy topic you know what I'm saying but his first video out there gate 700k people was hitting them left and right for a sponsor for sponsors brand deals all types of nonsense and now he's at 28k right and as you can see he he continuously do these spins off spinoffs on these um
uh on this title but yeah that'll be a whole another video but again I don't want y'all to fixate on oh I got to have a first a viral video within a month or post and if if that don't happen I'm finished with YouTube I'm done I'm tight don't do that you're going to shoot yourself in the foot you got to give yourself time especially if you're new to the game you don't know how to make videos this your first couple of videos give yourself some Grace man patience no one's good at anything the first
time they tried unless you're a genius or something and even if you're a genius you're still not going to be good at it off rip you might be better than the person next to you or better than the typical but you're not going to be a pro you know what I mean not with this content with these talking head videos I'm still learning it as well I'm not a pro but I did get my viral my first viral video I got two viral videos this month um as a result of me keep posting after changing
my content from gaming cuz this was a gaming channel to begin with and I went to talking head videos and like YouTube tips and things of that nature and the first couple of videos didn't get views and that's fine it got views but not the typical amount of views that I was accustomed to as a result of posting uh something other than gaming so again lesson is take your time and and really understand what the people want you know what I'm saying um don't be one of them people that just tries it for a few
days cuz you saw how much money someone made on YouTube and you're like yeah I I don't want to work my 95 I want to do YouTube do you really want to do YouTube or is just something that you want to do because you heard how much money somebody was able to make by just simply talking to camera like doing content like that and making money off of it is not easy it is not easy not saying that it's e it's not easier than a 9 and5 it is a very privileged position to be in
you know what I'm saying it is very easy um compared to a regular 9 or5 depending on what you do right um but again it is not something that straight out the the Woodworks you're going to get a million views unless you have a a a crazy idea that is like you know out of this world if you teaching people how to levitate and you actually levitate on camera without no props and you you got that you the one person on this planet that can levitate and you teach people how to levitate of course that's
going to get like a billion views that will break the internet the CIA will probably hit your door up and and you're done you're finished you're getting straight you're getting sent straight to Area 41 21 18 whatever it's called you know what I mean so again do not come into YouTube or Tik Tok you know what I'm saying and and and think or any form of social media and think that off rip your video is going to get a million views it's it's nine times out of 10 it's not but it is possible it's just
a very small chance the whole point of of creating content is to optimize your chances of going viral because the viral videos is the ones that spill that that give your main other content views so what I mean by that is you'll have videos that you post every day and things of that nature and all of them will perform differently but there's this one video it's like having that one song that that that artists make and it and now the whole world knows who they are but you're like yo I've been listening to Jack harlo
since this day I've been listening to Russ since he's been posting one song every day and now whole world knows him but now his whole catalog is fire not everybody paying attention to every song that he post right that's the same thing with YouTube it just takes one video to get the the momentum going once you get the momentum then you can start you know what I'm saying posting a little bit more and getting more active on a platform because you're like oh yeah they're tuned in now they're tapped in you just got to hold
their attention and try to to to get another moment you just got to keep getting moments so that's that's the mindset you have and those moments happen you know what I'm saying when they happen you can have a little bit more control of it but there's so many factors outside of your control as well the ones that you need need to focus on is your titles your thumbnails the idea of the video and that's about it and your your SEO which is what we'll talk about probably uh later on I'll do a whole another video
on SEO which is search engine optimization which also helps people find your video when it comes down to like the YouTube search and how people type in something and you know they find like a video associated with what they type in right so again guys I don't want you guys to come in here and expect you know what I'm saying two I do not want y'all to do do not come in here expecting that you're going to get a million views the first month in this is a longterm game folks you know what I'm saying
after you watch these videos there's no way that you be consistent and not get at least one viral video within 3 to 6 months there's no way it doesn't matter if you're making YouTube shorts it don't matter if you making Tik toks it don't matter if you're making IG reals these um tips that I'm going to give you these tricks whatever you want to call it is applies to all the platforms but most definitely to YouTube long form videos but they work across all of them right um yeah do not come in here thinking you're
going to get 3 million views off your first video don't do that and secondly there's no guarantee that you will get these views this is just a a odds to make you get a better chance these are all better chances of getting a viral video right no one knows exactly what it is that makes YouTube tick we can only go off of the information that we're given right which is CTR which is how many people click on the video compared to how many people have seen it on their for you or for you page the
homepage right we have aage view duration you know what I'm saying you got watch time things of that nature but the most important thing in my eyes is definitely to click through aka the title and thumbnail Title First thumbnail second well idea first then title then thumbnail but yes I don't want to make this a 300 minute video and yes this is the first video I hope you guys enjoyed it and let's get rocking
