If you thought Facebook was dead, you need to think again. I just talked to Austin Armstrong and look at what kind of numbers he's pulling in. And I've done over 650 million views.
I've gained over 600,000 followers in the last 90 days. They've paid me about $25,000 and it continues to grow. If you have a business, or even if you don't, you should be using this strategy because he's making really good money just from posting.
And if you have a product you're selling, then that works even better. So in today's video, we are going to break down how he's doing this, what types of posts that he's creating. And then one thing that I love about Austin is that he does not gatekeep.
He shows us exactly how he comes up with content and stays consistent. So if you want to make more money online and money on Facebook, you need to know and be using this strategy. So you guys ready to get into this?
Let's go. All right. Hey Austin, thank you so much for joining us today.
I'm so excited to be here. Thank you. Yeah.
Well, we want to learn how are you killing it on Facebook? Like, how did this even start you making money on Facebook? Yeah, it's pretty it's pretty crazy.
I mean, I've been on Facebook for a long time, but the last I would say three months in particular, just to throw some crazy numbers out there, they switched something in the algorithm, and I've done over 650 million views. I've gained over 600,000 followers in the last 90 days. They've paid me about $25,000 and it continues to grow.
It's It's mind-blowing. So, I've been consistent on Facebook for many many years at this point. Uh I am a a short I consider myself a short form content creator, but I really switch my attention to where there's the most engagement and I'm getting the most ROI.
So, we can kind of get in the weeds if if you want, but there's there's so many different little nuances and formats of content that are working so well on on Facebook right now. It's it's such an opportunity. Oh, yeah.
We need to hear all this like right now. So, the first question is, okay, what kind of content are you creating or that you are seeing that's working for you? Strangely enough, it's these text threads that are basically Twitter threads with a a a very clickbaity almost headline.
And that so for example, it'll be something like uh rest in peace Photoshop. These five AI tools will help you generate images in seconds, right? And then it'll be a downward emoji.
And it's uh I always do colored background and then colored text. So, I'll do like black background, white text. Um, and then in the comment section, each individual comment will be one of the tools.
So, it breaks it uh up into five, six, 10 comments, however many tools that I mention in there. And I always throw in a call to action. This works so well.
It it it feels like it shouldn't, but it's just such a hack that I've been doing. I have uh a lot of other colleagues that have been doing this. And so depending on when you're listening to this, word is getting out.
So this is going to get saturated. So take action on this as you're watching this. Like try this out immediately.
Um because these posts, what happens and why this works in particular is I have about 1. 7 million followers. So those five comments get buried very quickly and it gets a lot of shares and the the the comments or the valuable information is only accessible on my post.
And so when a lot of people come to comment on it or people share that post, it brings in a lot of engagement back to my post, back to my profile. And they have to uh engage with that post and and sort it from uh relevant comments that Facebook displays to all comments, which is an engagement metric. Maybe they scroll through and they're like, I don't see all of the comments.
well, they're there, but you just helped my engagement a lot more as well. And so that that whole process really lifts it up to a point where it it hits a a certain uh threshold of engagement and then Facebook will share it out even outside of the network as recommended for you. And so you'll see in the analytics of those posts after a while, it can take a couple days.
Sometimes I've seen this like two three days later it'll have that explosion and it'll switch to like 99% nonfollowers. Wow. So that's Facebook recommending the post and not even from like shares.
They're just putting my posts in the feed as uh similar content that you're engaging with so that you might be interested in it. So Facebook's just organically pushing profiles. Now, reals and all, you know, images and all of that uh still work too, but those text threads in particular are such a hack right now.
Oh, I love this so much. First of all, because you don't have to show your face. You don't have to do any video for this.
And so, how do you make money from those posts? Or do you? I do.
Yeah. So, I'm on professional mode on my uh personal profile. Quick distinction here.
Uh there's Facebook pages and then there's your personal profile which about two years ago they allowed you to turn on professional mode which gives you a lot of those same settings. So you can monetize, you can get full analytics and so they recently rolled out um content monetization. So, they consolidated all of the different ways that you could earn like ads on reals um uh uh uh text uh um uh ads and the uh and stars and uh all kinds, you know, all of the different ways they they consolidated it into content monetization.
And so, basically, you get paid for reach and engagement. And so these text threads just through the amount of reach and the amount of engagement Facebook pays me. So for instance, last month they paid me $9,400 uh from from just posting on Facebook every day.
Uh that's just pure revenue uh from doing what I'm doing. So like I'm not going to complain about making almost 10 grand a month, you know? It's amazing.
Yeah. And so how often do you post every day? uh minimum five.
It's like five to 10 times a day. Different formats of content, different uh text threads, images, videos. I share posts from other people.
This is a huge hack as well. I started a a Facebook Messenger group with other content creators in my same niche. So, we're not doing follow for follow, but we're doing uh once a day we we each share our top performing post in there and then everybody in the group shares it out.
And so, we're all in the same niche and it just has this crazy viral network effect out there. But five to 10 times a day, I'm posting and then I'm also sharing a lot of their content too, right? So, I love that because it kind of helps you come up with like con like you don't have to kind of like fill that fifth spot with something of your own.
You're like, I can just share this and it's gonna and it uh benefit me as well. Now, did you start that group or did someone else start it? That group in particular, I started I'm in a couple like WhatsApp and Instagram groups uh for for that on on those individual platforms like for LinkedIn and stuff.
And I saw that like a bunch of us were just sharing each other's stuff anyway. So, I'm like, let's just do this on Facebook. Um, and it's been awesome.
We've been doing it about four months now. There's there's about eight of us in this group. very like private select only thing.
But yeah, do this with other creators in your niche. Like it's I don't believe in competition. I love the term coopetition.
We can all cooperate and grow together. There's enough to go around. So lift each other up.
I love this so much. And so once you unlock professional mode, is are all those tools and for monetization available for everyone or does it take a while to reach a certain um like you know quota or something like that? Yeah, great question.
So, there's there's a threshold and I do believe it's invite only and it's also not available in every country. So, you you will basically just continue to post and get lots of engagement. Um, I also pay for verification, so that might anecdotally expedite it a little bit for you.
Yeah. Um, if I'm being honest, you know, they they want pay them a little bit. So, uh, yeah, there there there is a threshold.
It's it's invite only, but if you continue to just post, you're going to be able to, uh, hit that monetization. Yeah. Yeah.
Now, this is my question because I feel like when you say you're posting five times a day, my head goes like, that's so much I can't even think of that. Like, how could I do that? How do you come up with content ideas to be so consistent?
Well, one, when you're really dialed in, it's like building a habit, right? It's like brushing your teeth every day. It's like eating breakfast, lunch, dinner.
It's like going to the gym. It just becomes second nature. You become dialed in.
You see things online that you know are going to be good content for your audience and and it's going to resonate. Another hack that I love to use is Facebook memories. Uh, and so every day there's a memories of things that I've posted on that day years before.
And so if it's relevant or it's uh, you know, an evergreen meme or something like that or it's a post that still is stands today, I'll just repost that. And so I'll get typically one to two uh, posts from my memories every single day. In fact, it's like the first thing that I check.
And then um I have some formats of content that I typically create. I I try my best to create an original reel every day in the format of content that works or a text thread that works. I sharing other people's posts.
I might see a post that um I think would be good for my audience. So I'll post that and I'll tag the original creator. Uh I'll look online and see if there's any breaking news in my niche and I'll share that as the news source.
And so that yeah, it's just um different formats and and just get just being dialed in and staying consistent every day. Yeah. So you've already have like a system and like you know you come up you start the morning and you kind of know exactly what you're looking for.
Get your post together and then you're kind of just like doing other stuff basically once you get that pretty much. I mean it's like uh say what you will. It's like borderline addiction almost I'd say.
So like if I like if if it's 11 a. m. or something and I haven't posted yet, I feel bad.
I feel bad like I've got to get something out. I've got to get a post out. So, do you batch content or like are you every day coming up with these posts?
Yeah, I don't batch anything. Uh me and I don't even have no VAS or anything have access to my accounts. Everything that I post is 100% me and it's manual.
Now, I use AI and assistants and stuff for ideiation and outlining and um sometimes uh they I have editors that help edit videos, but I actually I like to do the creation and the posting. Um it's my hand on the pulse and so yeah, every day I'm manually posting five to 10 times manually. Oh wow, this is so interesting because I hear most people will say get your VAS, get it on automated, but like you're in you're doing it.
I mean whatever works for you right like don't let like I have built the systems and the team and I've delegated to free up my time so that I can do this uh because it's not to go off too much of a tangent but it's where I get the most enjoyment and the most ROI. Uh there's a great book buyback your time by Dan Martell. There's a concept in there called time inventory.
Highly recommend looking looking at that and doing going through that exercise. And for me it was very clear like you know there are some things that I can outsource like I don't need to be the video editor every single time. Um I can come up with the idea the script or outline and then actually publish the video.
Uh so I have the before and the after. But uh if batching works for you batch you know whatever allow you know if you want to use auler and that helps you stay more consistent use auler. It's not going to hurt your reach.
Like I hate I hate that argument because it's like scheduler or batching your content is going to help you stay way more consistent than if you're manually posting. Like you don't have to be at 5 to 10 a day. Just stick to whatever you can stay consistent to.
Let that be your new norm and then you know slowly continue to grow. Yeah. Now when you say you do reels, are these reels that you're using like a camera talking to the camera talking giving some value or what are some of your what do your reels look like?
Yeah. So, I record everything on my phone. Uh, for the short vertical real style videos, I have different formats that work.
Um, usually they're either like my best performing ones are sort of skits a little bit like these five websites feel illegal to know and I'm sort of talking back and forth with with myself in a different outfit while sharing uh useful websites. That's been a format of content that's done hundreds of millions of views for me over the years. Wow.
Uh uh most of it is AI oriented content. So strong opening hook talking about a a problem or or headline or something providing incredible value for free and then a closing call to action. It's just a loose sort of format, but I always try and uh have that structure.
Yeah, this is awesome. So, this is what I love most of this because you're literally putting yourself out there and you're making money because you have your own product, right? So, it's not necessarily just making money from Facebook.
You really could have this as a business where you're just making money from Facebook alone. And the different ways, just before I go into the next part, the different ways that you're making money online right now from Facebook are just ads, right? No.
So, the content monetization covers ads on reels, stars, uh um engagement that they pay, uh and then memberships as well. I don't do a whole lot with memberships, but it is on there and a a couple people do subscribe. Um those are the main ways just from the platform itself.
And then there's there's a whole bunch of different ways that I monetize if you want to get into that. Yeah, I want to get into it just so other people can know like not only can I just use the Facebook monetization tools, but how are you using it personally as well? Yeah, so the number one source is is my business syllabi, which is a AI tool to help you create videos and automate the entire process.
And so I'm very strategic with the type of content that I create because it establishes me as a thought leader in AI and content creation. And I create uh content sharing useful tools to help other people create and make money online and and grow their business. And that's exactly what Syllabi does.
So I can point my traffic to Sylli. So I get a lot of uh signups and subscribers that way. The second way is affiliate marketing.
Uh, I'm a big affiliate. Um, like you like you said, my, you know, it drives my wife crazy. I don't need to run a business.
I make multiple six figures from being an affiliate marketer, uh, getting brand deals and and getting paid by the platforms. But, uh, I'm an ambitious, uh, ADHD entrepreneur, and I I think I would get too bored if I only had three sources of income. Not to brag, I'm just saying like these are things that you can you can build up on yourself.
So uh again from the content that I create sharing AI tools and useful websites these are software tools that many of them have affiliate programs and so you can sign up for an to be an affiliate and when you create that content you link to your affiliate link and you get a recurring commission every single month that the person that you refer continues to um subscribe and then brand deals as well. So other software tools that want me to directly uh promote them, they pay pretty well, driving them cross-promoting over to my YouTube channel as well. So like you, I'm I'm a monetized YouTube creator and so I'll do a post and drive them over to the YouTube channel and there's ad revenue on on that.
I'll send them to a long form video. Um Beehive Newsletters is another way. Oh wow.
That recently. So, uh, Beehive, if anyone's not familiar, is a newsletter platform and they have a boost program on there and a referral network as well. So, when I say come sign up for my AI newsletter, they enter their email.
It's free and then it pops up with these other newsletters that are boosts. And so, when somebody then opts into that other newsletter, I get paid. And so essentially what I'm doing is I'm getting paid to grow my own email list because other newsletters are advertising in front of my newsletter.
Those are probably the top performing ways. I mean paid consulting, uh uh hourly consulting, uh paid speaking engagements, UGC content. So if a brand just wants Wow.
Yeah. So you know those those last couple ones are a little bit more inconsistent, maybe a couple times a year. Um, but you know you with Facebook, a lot of this stems from Facebook, but just in content creation in general, build up your streams of income.
That's where real real wealth comes from is having multiple streams. Yeah, 100%. And before I ask your this next question, um, has Facebook been the best platform for you from the other different social media platforms?
You know, we have X, Instagram, I mean YouTube, but what has been the number one traffic source for you? Yeah, the over the last year and a half, two years, it's been Facebook. It was Tik Tok for me for years.
Uh I had a a very large following and and early traction on Tik Tok and it was great. I'm I still love YouTube. YouTube's a fantastic platform.
Um Facebook's number one for sure. You know, I do a lot on Instagram. The the DMs on Instagram are are sweet, too.
But uh Facebook by far, it's where the the they're paying the most. I get the most organic reach. It's where my networking is happening.
Business deals are happening. Um, so you know, it's not the newest, sexiest platform, but it's where business is happening, y'all. Yeah, I love this.
Okay, so we know you have the syllabi. I wanted you to see if like you can walk us through that because my whole channel is about like how do you make money online and people are literally I've seen the numbers, guys. They're making money with this tool.
So I asked Austin could he give us some examples of how people are making money with this tool that he created. Absolutely. So just a quick overview of what syllabi is is it's a a toz process to create videos online.
So it'll show you viral topic ideas that people are searching for online. It writes the scripts for you. It creates the videos for you.
So faceless videos or AI avatar videos. You can directly connect to every social media platform and automate scheduling and publishing them out as well as the full optimization. So you can add uh links to anything in the description of these videos that get blasted out to every social media platform.
It's all unique content. All of the videos perform well. Uh because I'm a content creator and so I know the nuances of what go into good content.
So that's one thing that really separates us. Yeah. um it's it's actually good content that people watch.
That's why that's why it works so well. So, there's a lot of different ways that people are making money using syllabi. Um number one is affiliate marketing.
Uh it's very simple uh for this is the easiest and fastest way that we've been able to help our our users monetize is a simple uh sign up as a as a a syllabi affiliate and have a single line that says you can make a video like this too using sylli here's my link and so their videos do very well across every social media platform they see those links in descriptions somebody signs up they get 30% recurring commission everybody wins. Wow. Second, ad revenue.
Uh, despite what anybody says, I have talked to YouTube directly, AI videos are monetizable. I don't know where that rumor comes from that it's not uh a mislabeling. We have many users that are fully monetized on YouTube, Facebook, Tik Tok uh from these these videos.
So, you can make money from ad revenue. There's quite a few service-based businesses that are using us as well. Real estate agents uh real estate agents love us.
So, we have a feature in Sylli to uh take a a Redf fin or a Zillow URL and it will essentially create a house tour video for you. So, it scrapes all of the images. It generates a a video script based on the listing page.
It edits everything together. And so, people are actually selling houses uh with Sylli and getting big, doing lead genen uh lead genen style videos uh based on the questions that people are searching for online in your industry. We have therapists that are getting leads um uh for their private practices uh on there.
We have a couple people that have uh paid group coaching programs as well teaching how to use syllabi. So there there's one lady, it's so like we've built this awesome ecosystem and community. She's got this five uh fiveday training program that's free.
They they go through it. gets a whole funnel built out newer affiliate link and then she upsells some some like coaching and stuff and she's crushing it. So, there's quite a few ways.
I mean, some of our top affiliates, for instance, are making uh about four to $5,000 a month just to give some specific numbers. Ad revenue, I'm not I'm not specifically sure. I think a couple people are making like a couple hundred or so uh per month.
It's nothing like astronomical yet, but it's more than the cost of the subscription. And it's not that expensive of a tool, you know. That's my whole thing is if I can help you make more uh money than than you're paying, you know, let's let's grow together.
Exactly. Yeah. So, those are those are some of the ones that come to mind.
Okay. This is amazing. So, we're definitely going to drop the links in the description below so you guys can check this out because that's just not that's yet another way to make money online.
So, we know now how to work with Facebook and now we know with syllabi. So, this is just so awesome. So, awesome.
Thank you so much. This was awesome. And if you guys have any questions more about this, just let us know in the comment section.
Austin is amazing. We're going to put his Facebook in the description below and all other connections. And like for the last question, if someone wanted to get started today on Facebook using that as a tool to grow their business or make money just through ads, what would you recommend they do?
really outline who you want to target and reach your ICP, your ideal client persona and outline a content strategy from different formats so that you can test. So text threads, short videos, long videos, images consistently. Start posting connecting with other people in your same niche.
start to engage with them while you're continuing to post incredible content. They will start to respond back and share some of your content. Stick with this.
Um, I'm not really an ads guy, so I'm not going to uh like put any strategies out there because that's out of my wheelhouse. I am an organic content strategist. So, and this is a longtail thing.
like you're going to get the most organic free reach on Facebook from reals right now because they're they're pushing that out. As you get the followers in from reals, that's where your other text uh com content and your image content, etc. is going to get that siphoned uh views and traffic in.
As long as the content's good, you're going to get shares. Start networking with people and just stay consistent. That is the biggest thing.
If you just follow those steps and you stay consistent with it for a year, your life will change. But most people quit, you know, are you a quitter? No.
I love this. Yes. And I feel like you always need a guide.
You are the guide for the on staying consistent and what that can look like. So you guys definitely have to follow this. This is a blueprint.
You can do it. So again, thank you Austin so much. This was so awesome.
If you guys have any questions, let let me know in the comment section. I appreciate you. Thank you so much for having me.
This was fun.
