hello everyone I'm gonna share a short video about process this is something I Ellis trated a little while back I think a lot of people have seen this visual before I wanted to add a little bit more context and talk about the nature of process and the importance of valuing good process so there's there was this really simple diagram I think a lot of people have seen this visualized as an iceberg before but to really simplify it there's in any situation there's the position someone is in and then there is the process that created that
position right that holds that position up so this is everything that exists below what you see up here and the reason that metaphor is super interesting is because it really is about the stuff that you do when nobody can see you is what makes a difference so you're watching this video maybe you're watching another 30 videos after this it's not gonna change this everything you do behind the scenes the work you put in the hours in the gym the decades of practice of whatever craft it is is what reinforces this position I think there's a
tendency for people to kind of try and position themselves up here without this without this foundation and you see a lot of that now you see people come out it's very easy to put together a persona or a brand or an idea of something and all the stuff that exists down here is what makes you what gives you an edge over time so if you're not investing in here and you're just desperately trying to increase this it might it might work for a little while but ultimately there's nothing underneath it to hold it up so
you have this trend base or tactical attempt to get up here if you're not building this then where you end up you have to start from the bottom again
