and nothing shows me more that these creators are advertisers is when they do stuff like this is when they piss you multiple products that will do the same thing they don't mention that other products exist they don't mention that they've talked about other products they just review them like this is the thing this is the thing to solve your problem funny how there are three different things that you've pitched that will solve my problem ma'am respectfully your Christmas tree does not need to spin it's the holiday time so influencers are of course trying to sell

you stuff that you don't need welcome to another day of vlogmas and welcome to another Amazon DE influencing video today I'm bringing you a holiday edition and we're going to be talking about a bunch of different holiday topics more on that in a second and if you haven't seen these videos I have a whole playlist you can check out in these videos I critique how people try to sell you stuff do some de influencing and I ultimately really want these videos I really hope for these videos to be a counter to all of the bye

bye bye rhetoric we see or he more like it online so today's holiday version we're going to be talking about holiday outfits some hosting items I also have a wrapping segment in here a lot of good stuff I think so buckle up strap in grab your drink I mean I wore one of my green shirts holiday kind of festive for this video have my my drink my coffee let's get started so I first want to start off with some outfit videos there's so many that are really popular right now I'm going to play one and

we'll watch it together and then as I talk I'll play at least another one because there are a lot of these going around [Music] I don't know why I said I wouldn't watch them both together we we watch them both now let me be a reminder that you do not need a new holiday outfit let alone multiple holiday outfits simply because it's a new year or you know you haven't bought one since last year the same goes for New Year's Eve Eve outfits because I I'm already seeing some of those videos but they are going

to become more prevalent in a few weeks time where we're going to see a lot of sequins and glitter in specific the holiday outfits that she wore last year are absolutely good enough to rewear in my de influencing you video thumbnail on the screen I have a whole segment talking about holiday videos because somebody or holiday outfits sorry because somebody wanted to be the influenced from buying them so if you want to hear more expanded thoughts on that go check that one out I think a lot of us feel like we need something themed for

Holiday like a a Tartan or maybe if for thinking not just holiday party maybe like Christmas or Hanukkah or Thanksgiving or thanksgiving's past New Year's people will get stuff with like that kind of imagery on them but you also don't need that like if you have one or two things that you already own keep them where them love them but we also don't need multiple because I don't think many of us go to enough holiday events to justify buying multiples especially things that can only be worn in the holiday time and that's what a lot

of these recommendations are are like green and red or I've seen a lot of velvet or like you know specific kind of materials burgundy is a really big color if you own burgundy specifically maybe a top dress or pants that is already like holiday inspired and then you could pair that with something else I have have I have a burgundy top it's like it's a plain simple burgundy top I could pair that with almost any of my skirts and there's a holiday outfit let's now talk about some of the specific things in these videos first

of all we have like glitter and sequence in both of these outfits also the second video she has some feathers um first video she has some satin a lot of these Fabrics are really challenging to clean the woman in the first video her outfits to me just by looking at them stay dry clean only like that's what I think of when I see them but you might not even think that way if you're just like let me buy a holiday outfit oh this is cute let me buy it I think remembering how challenging some of

these Fabrics can be to clean is just I think it's essential before you buy anything let alone a holiday outfit this is also true of sequins sequins is extremely difficult to clean and I would not put it in a washing machine not just because it can ruin the sequin but if those sequ they can get stuck on stuff they can get stuck in your washing machine I would highly recommend not doing it hand wash that baby and also I think many of the outfits the second um woman was wearing they seem particularly trendy the first

woman her outfit seem more on the classic side not all of them are classic but they're more classic where I could see somebody wearing them for multiple years the second video felt more trendy where you're going to probably wear them for a season or two and then you're just going to be sick of them I think many people feel that way about feathers or like bubble hems like that bow top seems particularly trendy so I think that just makes something already with a short lifespan even shorter before you go onto Amazon and start scrolling for

Holiday outfits I deeply encourage you to go take a look in your closet to see what you already have let's now look at a hosting favorite this sleek and elegant warming tray is a holiday must have the shape is ideal for buffet serving or as a centerpiece consistent temperature makes food taste even better easy to use Easy to clean and safe for all surfaces so this is a warming tray and I showed one in the last video or the last iteration of this with like the silicone matte this is just another version and I think

this one is even more impractical because of how long it is literally where are you putting this in your home I was thinking about it if I had this where would I put it the only place that this could go would be if I stored it vertically in the closet behind me and I don't even think I have room for that in that closet that thing is freaking huge so before you go oh yeah let me go get the warming tray please think about where you're going to put it please please so this Creator is

pisses is me off to me it's another thing that screams where are the morals I have none and I also sometimes forget people being like what do you expect they're a business yeah they're a business but they try to act like they are not one I'm just a regular person in my house selling you things look at how practically living my life and they do their best to distance themselves from the fact that they are businesses and they're people whose sole purpose and existence on Tik Tok is to sell you that you don't need from

Amazon moving on this is going to be a really quick [Music] one ma'am respectfully your Christmas tree does not need to spin that is not a find that is not a musthave that is not an essential that is not a steel your this is completely unnecessary your Christmas tree does not need to B I'm going to go fix the lighting and we're going to watch this stocking stuffer video next it's Black Friday week on Amazon there are some really incredible deals so let's talk about stocking stuffers for women that are on sale this week during

Black Friday week we talk about them every single year but these birdie safety alarms are incredible and they're on very good sale today I think women of all ages this would be a perfect stocking stuffer it's a little bit on the higher end for a stocking stuffer but can we really put a price on personal safety I've been talking about this under eye brightener I'm obsessed and it's like four bucks today you guys know I have two dry shampoo obsessions one is a non aerosol small business and one is aerosol this is the only aerosol

dry shampoo I will use it has no cancer causing ingredients and it's truly incredible you guys know I talk about tumblers every single year I love a water cup we love simple modern we're on incredible sale today the 40 oz Tumblr is $22 the 32 oz is $20 like that's insane so you could fill it with a couple of little things on the inside put it in a stocking put some gum and candy and aqua before and you're good to go like perfect stocking talked about this before but it needs to be said again this

is the best mascara and it's literally less than $4 this week put it in a stocking the Lano lips the Lano lips I do not see Lano lips go on sale like almost ever and they're less than $10 this week for Black Friday week yes liquid IV is on sale this week on great sale this week you guys know I love to get a bag especially if you're shopping for multiple people take a stick out and put one in each stocking it's a great thing to add in there because so many different demographics of people

can benefit from this like and cotton candy flavor liquid IB if you see this and you love me you want to send me cotton candy flavor I'd love it okay we're just going to stop it there because I think you get the point I have so many things to say about this uh the first thing I want to talk about is the price point to me a stocking is something that is like $10 or less and if somebody does put like a $10 item in there it's like maybe one maybe two not your stocking primarily

being comprised of things that are $10 and over the only things that to me belong in this list the lenol lips and the mascara because both of those the lenol lipse is $10 and then the mascara is like five bucks approximately the under eye corrector also should not be on a list that you're gearing towards people you don't know because katrice has a Shad ring and that's entirely a reason why I stopped shopping from them even if it's affordable which that's nice as a content creator you also have responsibility in making appropriate recommendations and this

is not one to a general audience let me talk about the price of some other ones the personal safety alarm is $40 regular price on sale for $32 the living proof dry shampoo not available on Amazon Canada retails for $22 the simple modern t Tumblr that one is currently on sale for $28 the liquid IV $16.99 for a bag of six which was the smallest size available and many of these are Standalone gifts the the tumbler can be a gift to somebody all on its own let alone something you put in a stocking same thing

with a personal safety alarm $40 item doesn't really have business being a stocking in my opinion my humble opinion and how she sold that was kind of exploitative in my opinion it's okay to buy something expensive for somebody else's stocking because can you put a price on personal safety yeah you can ma'am if you can't afford it you shouldn't buy it number one and if you are concerned with personal safety there are other more affordable options that one can purchase if $40 is out of a price range number two number three this can be a

standalone gift and not something in a stocking we don't need to be recommending like expens items it's sty stuffers you can make this as a gift recommendation for under $50 which is a is an example like people look for in gift guides you know what I'm saying liquid IV is also for the average person not necessary liquid IV gives you electrolytes and helps you with hydration and it's not something like unless you are experiencing significant dehydration which is and I was reading recommendations from doctors athletes are people who are experiencing illnesses as an example that

like would cause them to dehydrate or like diarrhea that would be the time to use them I'm not a doctor do not take medical recommendations from me or her please go even if you think I'm right I don't care I'm not a doctor I'm not a medical professional I should not be advising you on your health neither should she that's my point these are overall not necessary for the average person and if you think that you are dehydrated enough to Warrant this you probably should consult a doctor or I guess I should say if you

think that you warrant regular use of these you should probably consult the doctor because I would be concerned I don't know why we need to recommend such expensive products to people when like if if we're going to do an Amazon video Amazon sells candies and chocolates and they sell EOS lip balms and like. make up products that are affordable like I mean that the mascara is not a big deal if you want to make a concealer recommendation you could give again I'm going with elfl because they are affordable a lot of their products are under

$10 not every product for sure but you can have lip oils and lip glosses and mascaras and concealers for under $10 with a shade range that will serve a wider variety of people for going to go the makeup route I have definitely seen more obnoxious videos where people are recommending Cally to put in stockings I don't know maybe there's like rich person stocking talk that I'm like I don't belong there I don't know why we're recommending people bu Cally for stockings I digress okay we're going to move on and we're going to look at some

more hosting finds [Music] ma'am you don't need a wooden device to put plastic cups on top of with marker hold holders that device is $20 guys what are we doing that like that setup is fine you want to put markers on your cups because you don't want your your guest to get mixed up fine that's your Vibe I have no problem with that but you don't need a glorified bowl with holder like marker holders in it for $20 to do that if you are so concerned about losing your Sharpies you could put you could put

your cups onto a plate and then get a piece of string and and Tape a string to the plate so people can't walk off with your marker I'm sure there's other Creative Solutions out there or we could just you know you could put maybe a container of pens beside it like there's other things that we could do besides buy something and here are the prices for the other things in this video the shot dispenser is $27 the condiment server the rectangular long tray that one is 24 the cff holder is 30 most of the stuff

is on sale you don't need any of this stuff and like we could put our cffs in the fridge or we could put them on Ice in a bowl we don't need to buy this in specific and I also think like if you host a lot a lot then you might want to think about more permanent Solutions because I think something like that crap folder looks like it's going to break to be honest I think a lot of people not everybody but a lot of people they only host a few times a year and this

kind of thing is not necessary and they're fine and you would probably be fine putting your cffs in a bowl of some kind maybe you have a decorative you haven't used in a while perfect opportunity to use this you don't need a shot dispenser like have you ever once thought about like you know what I wish I had a device that would fill up six shot glasses at once and then allow me to carry them to a different room I bet you you haven't thought about that if you haven't then it's probably not for you

you know what I'm saying like it's one of those things manufacturing interest or you go that's cool I think if you are somebody who does tend bar in your home what could be helpful would be those I don't know the word exactly for it but you know those devices that go inside of your like your liquor bottle so then you can like pour easy like bartenders do I could get that so you can do mixed strengths more easily and like pour shots into shot glasses easily I get that but this is not that we're now

entering the gift compiling segment of this video I was going to call it wrapping but some of this as isn't wrapping it's like gift boxing but maybe I'll just call it wrapping for short we have about four videos to look at hopefully rapid fire let's [Music] go I took a look on her profile this is a $25 box it's on sale for $25 might not be when this video goes live there's also a $40 option linked let me just make this real simple you do not need a $25 gift box a regular gift box or

bag will will do I have seen this first Gadget this wrapping paper Gadget like everywhere um this is just like one of the the last ones that I saw [Music] may I introduce you to an elastic band or a hair tie both of those things will also work well this is not an essential now if you are somebody and I think this is going to go for a lot of the other things that I'm going to talk about if you are experiencing issues with your Mobility specifically in your hands you have a hard time moving

your hands or gripping products perhaps perhaps something like this is helpful however this is not how these products are being pitched in these videos even if they started off as Mobility AIDS and are great for that purpose influencers have kind of Twisted things to be like look at how easy this is look at how much of a timesaver this is and that might not be their intended use I don't know that for everything so I do want to make it real clear that if some of these things make give wrapping a an easier experience for

you you know go for [Music] it this is the same Creator slightly more popular video I would also like to introduce you to scissors I know I'm being kind of sassy here because this for a lot of people not necessary scissors will do it's one of those things where you oh look so easy I'm just going to throw it into the card I can see it's potentially being easier to grip if you don't need to like put your fingers through scissors so that might be a wonderful uh Mobility option again not how this is being

modeled here this is mostly a save time make gift wrapping easier I need to talk more about the make gift wrapping easier once we look at our last one make your holidays easier this year with this handheld lightweight easy to use Easy to store automatic tape dispenser y'all we are not professional give wrappers like we don't we don't need this tape like regular tape has a cutting mechanism on it that will cut for you I don't really know that this is going to save you the time that you think it's going to save you like

are you really rapping so much that you need this I don't I don't think so just because this device has a function doesn't actually mean that you need it it's okay to use the regular tape dispenser we don't need to buy every single Gadget that is timesaving or makes our lives easier sure some will be more transformative than others but we don't need every single one and it's especially tempting when they're cheap but this is exactly how we spend thousands of dollars a year and not notice because we say oh that's $10 that's $5 y'all

to spend $5,000 a year is $13 a day or it takes $13 a day to spend $5,000 a year first it's the slap wrapper then it's the paper cutter then it's the tape dispensor and that's just a holiday time then in the summer time you want to get your inflatable pool and then you want to get the the device that goes on top of your water bottle so you could hose down your legs and then you want the portable shaver and then you want the car mes and then you want the dude wipes and then

you want the wipe that to like there's so many things that we can want that will serve a purpose that is ultimately a waste of our money in many cases and then when you look at your spending at the end of the year and you realize that you spent even $11,000 in stuff like this let alone5 or $10,000 when you look at this stuff in compilation and when you realize just how much money all of this random spending cost it's much easier to be like yeah I would like to have the $1,000 than all of

this random stuff stuff like this is how we get to the random spending or miscellaneous spending being $500,000 5,000 whatever it is we're now going to finish this video on a crinch themed movie night [Music] if this setup looks familiar it's because I featured her in my previous installment of this series with the Beetlejuice bath we now have an extremely excessive overthe toop movie night not a bath glad we're not in the bath this time um there is so much being pitched here like there are so so many products and she has some listed on

Amazon but then also in her like to know it and one of the craziest things that I saw in the comments was somebody asking where her projector is from like the screen that pops up she has a projector and then she also has the popup screen and this screen is $1,400 and then the projector she's two listed one for 350 one for like $9.99 so just to get the projection is about $1,700 minimum if you get the more expensive one it's $23.50 and I think that's kind of crazy given that she has a TV right

there she's just putting up a projector on top of it I I get projectors when you are trying to watch a movie be like an abnormal space particularly outside but if we're watching TV in front of our TV she has one of those um one of those TVs that it's I think it's the Sony one that looks like a picture frame and some people even like get them framed like her so it looks like art when it's not in use and it has like a matte finish on the TV so it's not as as shiny

is a traditional TV so it's crazy that we're doing all of this setup in front of the TV but of course we're doing it so we can sell all all of that stuff some examples of other things she's selling you in this video from Amazon um at the end of the video there was like a table that popped up that she put like her food on $85 the green candles $28 and then 18 additional things were linked on her like to know it which is stuff from other sites the cookies that she placed on the

side of the mug $34 from William Sonoma sorry $33 first set of five the mug the Grinch themed mug they're on sale for $55 at Pottery Barn the cookie jar $80 the hot chocolate bomb $9 the Grinch one and she had two so $18 on hot chocolate bomb the Grinch PJ set $60 regular price $90 slippers $30 the matches at $15 the Grinch little mini tree $17 there's over $400 worth of products you know excluding the TV and the projector that I've mentioned and there's even more stuff that she is tried to sell in this

video over $400 to recreate a movie night like we do not need this level of theming to enjoy our experiences she's doing the theming so you look at it and you want to replicate it and then you go and you buy even one thing yourself if you want to have a Grinch movie night you don't need pajamas and slippers and mugs you can go get some candy and and watch it maybe you just your regular pajamas like it doesn't need to be this complicated and all the time people ask for links for products and sometimes

demanding links to be honest but here's the thing like here's why I want to end on this number one her videos are popular the Beetlejuice bath had millions of views on it and people like the themed videos and they want to replicate a piece of that for themselves and coming to these posts coming to any Instagram post or Tik Tok post and going through videos looking at stuff to buy looking at what you could purchase that's a habit and I think that is often paired with click the link checkout or click the link at decart

also habit and like coming to posts and wanting to shop these posts or shopping these posts these are all habits that are widely encouraged across Tik Tok and so if you find yourself watching stuff like this or maybe it's not themed themed videos or themed date nights maybe it's makeup videos or maybe it's clothes and I do want to say that these habits are changeable getting off Tik Tok or Instagram could be at play but if you don't want to get off Tik Tok or Instagram or you still want to watch these but if you
