In this vlog, I'm going to figure out if Bangkok, Thailand is really the best city to visit and live in the world. I really wanted to try out living here in Bangkok as it seems like the most interesting city. And I keep meeting people who tell me that they really love living here longterm.
But let's see how it feels in daily life. I'm here in Central Park, Bangkok. It's a new mall with this amazing rooftop to the city view.
This is why Bangkok is so amazing. They keep building these really cool places, but it's really busy here. I hope it's not going to be like this everywhere.
And of course, you need some nice big parks if you live in a big city like this. And this one looks pretty nice, the Lumpini Park. Apparently, there's one that is like even better park than this.
I will check it later. There's just like so much to see in Bangkok and experience like it's endless. And we will try a lot of amazing things trying out the lifestyle.
So yeah, keep watching. Do not miss out on any of those tips and recommendations. And one of the nicest things about Bangkok is that they have the most incredible condo building.
So, I will show you where we are staying very soon. But the negative is getting around. It's a big city with a lot of traffic.
So, I don't know if it would be comfortable to have your own scooter here. But, of course, there's good public transport and the taxis are not too expensive. But, personally, I'm a little bit lazy to use public transport all the time.
And also the taxis can get a bit pricey. But the good thing is that you can get a scooter taxi pretty affordably. It's like $2 to $3 to get around with it.
I will take one now to go to a coffee shop. So let's see how it goes. >> There's a lot of amazing coffee shops of course in Bangkok.
And this one is pretty crazy. So nice, good coffee, amazing views. That's the proper city lifestyle.
And before I go to show my condo, just a quick word from today's sponsor, Olafly. Wi-Fi is not always reliable. And when you exploring all day long, having a reliable unlimited mobile data is a must.
And Olafly gives you that in more than 200 destinations with hotspot capabilities. You can set it up before your flight and boom, the moment you land, you have mobile data working. No need to look for SIM card shops and dealing with topups.
And for the maximum convenience, what I personally used when traveling a lot, you can get the new Olafly plans. It's one easy that works in 160 destinations with monthly global data plans and even your own local phone number either from US, UK or Canada. You can use for verifications and banking.
So it just makes life so much more easy. One less thing to worry about when you're going to the next destination. So check out Ally and grab an eim before your trip.
Link is in the description and with my code Yos the nomad, you will get 5% off regular eims and 10% off for the first 12 months of Olafly plans. So this is the condo we are staying at the moment in Sukum Vit. I would say this is the best area to stay somewhere around Sukumit.
But let me just finish my food quickly before I give a tour of the condo. It's actually so good. That's so convenient in Bangkok.
It's so easy to order with. Grab any food, even groceries, and they come quickly. You don't need to always go anywhere.
But yeah, this is inside the apartment. We're actually staying here with Dee. If you have seen from my previous videos, this is his bedroom and ours is on the top.
It's like a loft style. So really beautiful apartment and the view is really amazing. Like it's not too expensive because we're sharing it.
But uh yeah, looks amazing. The views are incredible, but it's actually really small. Like there's not even space for luggage.
We need to put down there and we need to put up there to the stairs and like yeah, it's quite small. Our bedroom is also pretty small. It's decent.
There's working desk. I feel like this place would be like really nice if you have the whole place to yourself and you make this room as an office like for long-term stays. But I think a little bit pricey to have this kind of apartment.
But the good thing is that the Wi-Fi is like really really fast. Like welcome to Bangkok. It's not going to be an issue here.
And yeah, the amenities is the best part about the condo buildings. Like there's some condos with the most insane amenities when it comes to gyms, rooftop pools, co-working spaces, all kind of things like that. For me at least, that's the dream and one of the main points of why I would want to stay longterm in Bangkok because yeah, it's just so nice to have, for example, gym in your building.
You don't need to go anywhere to do a workout. They sometimes have really nice gyms actually, like at least for me, all I need. So that's amazing.
Just a nice lifestyle, focus on work also in those kind of condos. But then the problem is that the apartments are quite small. Like here, yeah, it's it's pretty small.
That's the issue with the new condos and then the older ones don't have so good amenities. That would be bigger apartments. So, I would say like if you have a good budget for accommodation, you can find something insane here.
But if you're a lower budget, yeah, it's not the best options. It's kind of hard to find something that is like super super nice overall, even for like 1. 5,000 USD per month.
And of course, Thailand has some of the best food markets in the world. We're checking this out now. Looks pretty amazing.
It's very busy on Sunday evening. Nice vibe, a lot of people, a lot of crazy to try here. I guess you can have a proper dinner.
>> Good. >> Yeah. I think honestly it's like a big benefit of Thailand and Bangkok to have this kind of food.
markets. I don't think there's anything like this in other big cities and countries. And like honestly, I would always like kind of miss them because yeah, it's just a nice vibe to come chill and try some new foods and do some shopping in these kind of places.
And we had a New Year's Eve celebration on this amazing rooftop bar with my community, the Nomad Tribe. It was incredible night talking about life, business, travel, and relationships while celebrating together with these amazing views. I'm so happy how this community has turned out to be.
So many like-minded people always joining events all around the world. If you would like to join and get personalized support from me and the other members, check it out. I have link in the description with more details.
We came to check out the paddle. I'm trying to teach my girlfriend some paddle. And look at this club.
It looks so beautiful. It's really nice views. So I checked from the app from this place cross.
Actually, they have multiple clubs and they uh have quite like active. Seems like there's like a lot of open games you can join. So, seems like the paddle scene is actually pretty good.
The clubs at least are very beautiful. I think in Bangkok you can pretty much do any sport and there's a lot of people doing it in nice clubs. >> Muay Thai.
The art of eight limbs was the deciding factor in many battles. >> And of course, in Bangkok, there's big Muay Thai culture. We went to this amazing stadium with this insane screen on the roof and it was just like insane experience.
It was amazing. It feels like you're in a movie theater and Muay Thai Fight Night at the same time. >> Nice elbow.
>> And of course, food is amazing in Bangkok. There's so many good options. This is actually my favorite restaurant in Thailand.
I ate here in Puket and it was just insane food. the best Thai food ever. It's quite expensive, but uh yeah, it's just so good.
I mean, sometimes even the street food is as good almost as Thailand, but yeah, the restaurant options when it comes to more like nice food is just limitless in Bangkok. And another benefit of Bangkok is that it's so easy to buy anything. The malls are just insane.
Like very modern, very big, and there's a shop for anything. And yeah, if you need things like we were buying a computer from Apple, they have a couple of really big Apple stores and like yeah, basically any electronics or anything you want to buy, they have it. And there's this other mall you can go with a boat.
It's a pretty nice experience. And again, the food court is just insane. Like there's so many things to try.
But these places are not the cheapest local markets, but it's just a nice experience. And also doing some shopping in these huge malls. And of course, in addition to being a modern city, there's of course a lot of culture.
It has so many temples, for example, that are amazing, like very beautiful. So, there's definitely a lot to do in this city. We came to check out this pretty insane looking ice pad and sauna place on a rooftop.
Also has hot bath, not too busy with nice views to the city. Yeah, I can really imagine like living in a nice condo, having my own gym. Don't need to go anywhere for that.
But then like once a week coming to this kind of place just really relax and enjoys and so on and nice beds. >> Yeah, this place will definitely offset some of the stress and pollution problems you will have in your body living in Bangkok. And by the way, healthc care is also really good in Bangkok.
I got a little bit sick earlier and I got a home visit from good clinic. Everything went very smoothly and easily and yeah, of course with my safety and travel medical insurance. Yeah, it was free.
So I would highly recommend getting that when you're traveling anywhere and especially to places like this that a lot can go wrong. We also tried a massage in Bangkok. This place was very nice, but I didn't realize that it was $50 per person.
Bangkok can definitely get a bit expensive. Look at this park with this lake. Wow.
What an amazing place for morning walks and runs. Insane. It's just so beautiful and peaceful.
Like yeah, I think if I would live longterm in Bangkok, I would definitely want to be like close to this park to be able to come here. It's definitely the best spot. But yeah, I would say there's definitely some negatives of Bangkok.
like the obvious ones. There's no beach. The pollution can be quite bad.
Now, it's not too bad this time of the year, but it can get pretty bad and the traffic, it's much there's just a lot going on. So, it's not like a relaxing city by any means, but if you enjoy the craziness, it can be definitely the place to be. And there's of course these kind of places that are more peaceful still inside the city.
This park is actually so cool. They even have this like walkways in the like a I don't even know what it is like a swamp. And what I also have noticed that the locals are actually really friendly here.
Like usually in big cities it's not super friendly and chill but here they're really nice. It seems like and what I have heard from many guys that is the most like insane place for dating. Like there's lot of uh interesting people you can meet and it's pretty nice in that sense also.
So yeah, I would definitely say that it's insane city with the best parks, the biggest malls, the most insane experiences, the most insane condo buildings. Like it's an amazing city. It's probably one of the best cities in the whole world with of course some negatives.
For example, with the weather and the climate and the pollution, it can be pretty bad most of the year actually. But if you come here the right time, it's definitely like insane place. You definitely need to visit Bangkok if you never been here.
And a lot of people actually want to stay here a bit longer, but for me personally, it's still a bit too much. Like I still like the islands and more chill places. So yeah, not here for long term, but to visit or even stay for a month or two sometimes, it can be incredible.
So highly recommend it. Hope you like the video. Please like the video and hope to see you inside the NMA tribe.
See you in the next video.
