there are nearly 4,000 recognized faiths around the globe but among all the religions we have one thing in common that is the mysterious mischievous creature called The Devil in Christianity this being has been kept mysterious throughout the scripture but today we will expose 10 lies concerning the origins of evil and the Devil Himself starting with the common lie the devil was the strongest angel of course the answer to this may seem obvious but the devil was undoubtedly a really strong and mighty Angel but was he really the strongest as most Christians preach well let's dive
a bit into the scripture from the Bible the devil is said to be a type of Angel called a cherubim and cherubim are angels that carry the likeness of the glory of God and they stand in the likeness of a guide to the throne of God without doubt these angels are obviously the strongest Celestial beings along with the singing seraphim in the book of Isaiah the devil however in specific was a special type of cherubim that covered the Ark of God in heaven according to Ezekiel 28 moreover it is recounted that he walked on the
Mountain of God which holds the utmost sacred significance in the entire Bible this mountain is believed to contain in it fiery Stones signifying its unparalleled Holiness also looking from the visions of Daniel it was from the same Mountain of God that a stone was cut without a man's hand and came to destroy the kingdoms of this world becoming a mighty Stone covering the whole earth of which that same Stone was the kingdom of Jesus Christ himself in addition to this the devil was known to have flown and been to the Garden of God seeming there
was no point of creation that he was forbidden to enter into so considering the Privileges that lucif luer accessed there is no doubt he was a perfect creature just as god mentioned himself in the Book of Ezekiel however with all his Perfection the Bible never states that he was the most powerful but rather from his story of Pride it shows that there were more other beings that existed powerfully more than the devil and just to mention some powerful figures in Isaiah 14 God clearly sent a message to the devil saying you said in your heart
I will ascend to the heavens I will raise my throne above the stars of God from this message it clearly shows that In Heaven There are Mighty beings called stars but the devil wanted his throne raised more than the Stars Thrones furthermore in the book Revelations it seemed that the devil began a battle in heaven against the stars of God in heaven because his tail cast down a third of the stars of Heaven however he was fought off and defeated by the Archangel Michael who was a leader of a group of angels which fought the
aggressor the devil along with his angels from this narrative it shows stars of Heaven are ranked higher and also Archangel Michael proved mightier than him so to debunk the popular myth it is clear that the devil was neither the strongest of the Angels but probably a symbol of wisdom since God clearly stated that he was really wise but perhaps it seems the devil was not the strongest in power but one of the strongest if not the strongest in terms of wisdom over other Celestial beings coming to the second myth Christians will fight and defeat the
Devil around Bible schools all over the world Christians are taught that they possess the ability to confront and Conquer The Devil and in addition to this they are told that they have the power to lay hold and completely decimate the devil do you also believe believe in this notion well the reality is quite different not only the devil but even a typical sized Angel was Superior in strength to a human when we delve into the creation story in the Book of Genesis it becomes evident that despite being created in God's image and likeness humans did
not automatically surpass all of God's creations in strength this distinction is made clear in Psalm 8 which reads what is mankind that you are mindful of them human beings that you care for them you have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with Glory and Honor this verse openly indicates that humans from their creation were intentionally placed slightly below Angels including the devil who eventually deceived Humanity The Narrative takes an intriguing turn after the sin of Adam and Eve God prophesied that The Offspring of a woman would crush the head of
the serpent symbolizing the devil many people interpret this as a literal promise that humans will physically Crush snakes whenever they see them however this was a proverbial statement signifying that a descendant of a woman alone would Vanquish and put an end to the Mastermind of deception this promised Offspring aligns with the description in Revelation 12 where the devil sought to harm the child at his birth and in the Bible it's stated that when Jesus was born King Herod was prompted to kill Jesus along with other male children born so this seed of a woman is
none other than Jesus Christ and those who believe in him can overcome the devil through the power of his blood often referred to as the lamb Revelation 12 also speaks of a great battle that the devil prepares against the followers of Jesus so viewed from a creation standpoint the only creature designed to conquer and defeat the Devil is the seed of the woman which is Jesus even nature itself does not permit human strength to surpass that of an angel in Daniel 7 it talks of forces of Darkness saying he shall speak great words against the
most high and shall wear out the Saints of the most high it also states that I looked and the same horn made war with the Saints and prevailed against them this unequivocally demonstrates the ongoing battle between good and evil on Earth that humans would only overcome but not defeat the Devil until the arrival of the Ancient of Days to end the devil's Dominion the only way to Triumph in the battle that the devil wages against humanity is through the blood of Jesus Christ and one's testimony according to Revelations 12 it's important to note that overcoming
does not mean defeating but rather successfully navigating challenging situations in contrast to popular belief Christians will not obliterate the the devil but they can resist his Temptations defeating the devil can only be accomplished by the one who has already conquered him taking away his power including the keys to death and Hades the same individual Jesus Christ which brings us to the lies of tactics used by the devil to fight Christians many Christians hold the belief that when they encounter challenges or problems in their lives it is the devil who is responsible some even adopt the
attitude of blaming it all on him however it is crucial for Christians to discern their true adversary in order to effectively combat spiritual challenges the common misconception surrounding the devil is that he comes directly with violent attacks but this notion is far from the truth in the Bible specifically in John 10:10 Jesus articulates the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy clearly identify ing the devil's actions however the devil's method of attack is better explained in Ephesians 6 where the Apostle Paul encourages Christians to put on the whole armor of God enabling them
to withstand the cunning schemes of the devil this implies that when a Christian prepares for an encounter with the devil they are essentially gearing up to defend against his deceitful strategies what is even more interesting in verse 16 the same chapter is that Paul instructs Believers to take up The Shield of Faith to extinguish the fiery darts of the wicked many people mistakenly associate encountering a dark figure in their dreams with the devil's presence but this is also a misconception the devil's attacks are characterized by the use of fiery darts which raises an interesting question
since fire or light is a common means of divine manifestation in the Bible used by God himself this blurs the line between the appearance of God and that of Satan raising the question where does the fire from the devil actually come from in Deuteronomy 4 it is stated for the Lord your God is a consuming fire in Exodus the angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire from a burning bush and the glory of the Lord was likened to a consuming fire on the mountain in the eyes of the children of
Israel Jeremiah 23 also describes the word of the Lord saying is not my word like a fire says the Lord these vers demonstrate that God his angels and his word manifest as fire notably the devil was also originally an angel and also appears in the form of fire in 2 Corinthians 11 it is mentioned that Satan can transform himself into an angel of Light and his ministers can similarly appear as Ministers of righteousness furthermore in Matthew 6 Jesus speaks of a kind of light that is in fact dark illustrating how deceptive and disastrous the devil's
tactics can be Genesis also reinforces this idea as it describes god making two great lights one for the day and one for the night this proverb indicates that although the children of Satan may walk in darkness their father is paradoxically a source of light albe it a lesser one compared to Jesus who is the greater light as stated in John 1 Jesus himself proclaims I am the light of the world whoever follows me will never walk in darkness these verses make it clear that the devil presents himself as a light or a false truth just
as he tempted Jesus even quoting verses from scripture at some point Jesus once turned and said to Peter get behind me Satan and at no point did Satan engage in direct physical confrontation hands to hands with Jesus or the prophets therefore contrary to the prevailing belief that the devil employs violence he primarily relies on tactics that appear to be true and light leading to deception and spiritual downfall so whenever you face violence just remember these are the agents and demons of Satan rather than the Devil Himself because the devil attacks with fiery darts which is
to say he attacks with a light that is not of God but rather of darkness and if you see the light or dream the light then it is essential to seek God's grace to discern and thereby be able resist if perhaps that light is not of God myth number four the time when Satan fell from heaven a prevailing belief suggests that the devil once dwelt in heaven but transgressed leading to his Swift expulsion from Paradise and as a result God created humans to replace the devil however driven by jealousy the devil deceived humans in a
way to mock God this analogy is intriguing but our focus is on the time frame in which the devil fell from heaven many Christians contend that the devil's descent from Heaven occurred before the world's creation and others say he was cast out just before Jesus was born while another significant segment believes he was cast out of heaven in the 1800s to comprehend the timing of the devil's fall it is imperative to scrutinize key chronological events outlined in the Bible primarily chronicled by five prophets Moses Isaiah Ezekiel and John the Revelator in Genesis as perceived by
Moses it is written that the serpent dwelt among the beasts of the field yet possessed great wisdom additionally it foretells that the seed of the woman namely Jesus Christ would crush the Serpent's head this implies that in Genesis it appeared that the devil would ultimately meet his end due to his deception of humanity cons consquently we can infer that the devil was already in existence when humans lived and he resided among the beasts of Eden rather than on Earth and besides animals were first created before human beings even if we are to take the story
literally others also say that Eden was a garden of the creatures of God that had lost their place seeing the word Beast used which is normally used for wild unclean animals in the Bible however that is a topic for another day back to Moses in the Book of Job it seems that the devil had the capacity to access Earth and return to heaven without restriction engaging in dialogues with God but he seemed to be a character in question because God seemed to know him as a mischievous Angel roaming all about the places from Prophet ezekiel's
perspective Ezekiel prophesies and writes that the devil was Pride before and he became a sinner therefore God would judge him just as he was about to judge the king of a city called Ti God proclaimed that he would unleash a consuming fire from within the devil reducing him to ashes in the presence of those who witnessed this event on earth Isaiah in his prophecies revealed that the devil made Ambitions to ascend into heaven and exalt his throne above the clouds aspiring to be just like the most high God in response God decreed that the devil
would be cast down to Hell confined to the depths of the pit and finally from John's perspective The Book of Revelation recounts a Celestial battle initiated by the birth of a son a Manchild who was destined to rule all nations with an iron rod and it was only after the son was caught up with God that the devil waged war in heaven against Michael and his angels a battle that he lost and from this verse it says that the devil was cast out with his angels simultaneously losing his place in heaven also so by combining
these verses it is clear that the devil was a deceiver from the beginning he was a deceiver of the whole world by the time when he was cast out in Revelation 12 because it says the Great Dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world also some of the prophets in the Old Testament foretold the devil's future aspirations how he would desire to ascend to heaven and exalt himself above the stars of Heaven only to be cast down as detailed in Revelation CH 12 in conclusion when Jesus's
disciples approached him after their Journey where they had cast out demons Jesus remarked I saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning furthermore Jes Jesus prayed in happiness to God saying I thank thee oh Father Lord of Heaven and Earth that thou Hast hid these things from the wise and prudent and Hast revealed them unto babes and I am sure you know who the wise are I mean the ones which Jesus himself would call Wise so to debunk the common myth the devil actually fell from heaven after the male child was born and Jesus here on
Earth saw him fall as Lightning there's so much more interesting things about these scriptures but let us move on coming to the fifth myth the end of Lucifer Gog and MOG the end of the devil is marked by the coming of Jesus to take his people and of course the Judgment when these people are given the kingdom of the earth as an inheritance presently the Earth is believed to be under the Dominion of the devil but the Book of Revelation prophesies a significant transformation in Revelation 20 it is foretold that upon on Christ's return He
will assemble his chosen ones while the devil will be confined to a bottomless Abyss preventing him from deceiving Nations for a period of 1,000 years the Book of Ezekiel contains a prophecy about a future conflict often referred to as the war of Gog and MOG in this chapter the prophet Ezekiel describes a coalition of Nations led by a figure called Gog who will come against the people of Israel in the latter days in summary it seems that Gog the leader of a coalition of Nations is prophesy to come against the land of Israel in the
future despite the seemingly overwhelming odds against Israel God declares that he will intervene and protect his people the prophecy foretells that the invading forces will face Divine judgment and various natural disasters will befall them this event is seen as a demonstration of of God's power and sovereignty when compared to Revelation 20 the stories align closely with Ezekiel providing more detailed descriptions of these nations depicting them as Earthly Nations to gain a deeper understanding it is crucial to consider the state of the earth when Jesus returns the Bible prophesies that Upon Jesus arrival the sun will
lose its light and celestial bodies will fall off the sky Jeremiah's vision from Jeremiah 4:23 says I looked the Earth and loow it was without form St and void and the heavens and they had no light I beheld the mountains and low they trembled and all the hills moved lightly I beheld and lo there was no man and all the birds of the heavens had fled I beheld and lo the fruitful place was a Wilderness and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord and by his Fierce anger clearly these
verses show that there will not be life on Earth after Jesus comes to take his people a lot of Christians believe that the mark of the beast will now be emphasized after the coming of Jesus however there will not be life on Earth even based on the scientific part of the Bible the Earth itself cannot sustain life if the Sun is darkened and a thousand years is way too long without the sun considering the darkness extreme cold plants dying and no oxygen Revelation 19 also asserts that the dead and siners will not experience Resurrection known
as the first resurrection one may argue and say the cities that are mentioned that is God and Magog are said to be the cities in planet Earth but it is important to remember for instance in the Book of Daniel an angel once encountered resistance from The Prince of Persia while trying to deliver a message from God but Michael the Archangel came to his Aid although Persia was and is an Earthly City the idea of the story does not makes sense suppose it's humans who stop the angel because no human City or species can withstand the
presence of angels so another example is in Revelation that the kings of the earth sold menance myrr frankincense and even Souls of men additionally they conducted business with a city known as Babylon the great where the blood of Martyrs was found these references indicate that these cities are of a spiritual nature similar to Earth but inhabited by different species in light of these biblical accounts it becomes clear that the devil's deception of Gog and Magog is likely aimed at Nations that do not comprise human species even with all the power and strength of humanity it
would be impossible to locate or access the city of Jerusalem wherever God might place it the strength of this battle involves Celestial and more powerful beings than Humanity as a race and this time God would destroy them utterly to show his power to his righteous [Music] people
