if you are constantly uploading shorts that are getting less than 1,000 views here are some things you can do to fix that so I have two shorts Channels with a combined view count of 285 million I've been making shorts for almost 2 years now I've dealt with this so many times but I figured out exactly how to fix it the first reason is you are using a brand new account how old is your account if you just created a brand new shorts Channel and started uploading videos on it there's a very low chance that it
will be pushed out to the YouTube algorithm the reason is YouTube thinks you're a boss when a brand new channel just randomly starts spamming uploads YouTube will not push out any of your videos I tested this on a brand new account and it's accurate so this is one of my old channels that I rebranded it already had around 3K subscribers before I started posting I uploaded this video on there and it's almost at 1 million views this channel was created on November 2nd 2022 so about 2 years old I then created a new channel on
August 23rd 2024 I uploaded the same video and it didn't even get pushed out if you want to start uploading shorts please use an aged account preferably an account that's older than 7 months and an account that you are active on meaning you watch videos on it leave comments and likes this will significantly have a difference in how many views you get the second reason why you get no views is you upload way too much when you are just starting out it's crucial to upload at least once a day that is by far the best
way to grow your channel and get more views unless you are already an established Channel you can upload twice maybe even three times a day but if you are under 100K subscribers and are not even monetized keep it to one upload a day when you upload once a day you allow the video to sit and collect information and it helps the algorithm test the waters to see if your video will perform well but when you upload twice a day YouTube now has to push out two videos from you so let's say maybe one does really
good and the other one doesn't well you didn't give the algorithm a chance to let it sit and watch the video that performed well so instead of pushing it out to even more people nine times out of 10 it will stay at a stagnant view count because now YouTube is trying to push your other video instead be patient and let your videos sit sometimes you'll upload videos and they won't get any views at the start but if you give it some time YouTube will start pushing it and you'll go from no views the first five
hours to all of a sudden 10K views you need to be patient and let the algorithm do its thing if you are confident the video is good enough then it will get views reason three why you get no views it's because it just didn't reach the algorithm if you are on an aged account and the video didn't even get past 100 views and you know the video is good enough that means it just didn't reach the algorithm it happened to me recently on my Channel with 500k subscribers don't freak out don't panic a trick you
can do is to delete the video and re-upload it on another day this video called birthday party gone wrong I uploaded it on July 24th and it only got 617 views in 2 days so what I did is I privated it and re-uploaded it on a different day with the new title and now it's at 11k views so a significant difference I don't know why YouTube does that to be honest but just delete the video and re-upload it on a different day with a different title and it will get views I've done it so many
times so I know it works the fourth reason why you get no views is because your view to swipe ratio is cooked your VTS is what I'm going to call it is basically how many people chose to stop and watch your videos and how many people chose to swipe away as you can see my VTS average is 7030 which is barely passing if your VTS is below 70% there's a high chance that YouTube won't push your videos out as much an easy way to fix this is to upload videos shorter than 20 seconds and put
some effort into them the reason I say less than 20 seconds is because someone is more likely to watch a full 20 second video than a video that's 40 seconds long this video I uploaded is 18 seconds long and it's edited very well an overall good video the average percentage viewed was 128% that means multiple people watch the video twice and also if we take a look at the VTS 78.1% which is above the ideal amount of 70 if you can get your VTS average average to at least 80% which is honestly very difficult you
will go viral every single video but if you can't above 70% is the ideal amount this video has 80 million views and the VTS is 72% so that's proof that above 70% will get you viral now the last reason why your videos get no views is because honestly they just suck maybe the videos you find aren't as interesting as you think maybe you aren't the best editor or don't know the exact template to use and it happens the more you post and upload the better you'll get I had this guy message me on my email
asking for advice I said sure and told him to link his channel and we are going to do a live evaluation so for starters you only have five videos you cannot expect results from five videos it took me 200 videos and two failed channels to finally figure out a formula that works the channel branding is decent the channel was aged which is good but just from looking at the thumbnails I can tell the videos are not up to par this video has huge text captions above it with Emojis it's best to use raw footage when
using Clips second the captions and voice over is moving way too slow on shorts you only have 3 seconds to capture the viewers attention and to keep them hooked this is what I mean you need to make good videos and when I mean good I just mean simple I got a headache just from watching this one don't over complicate it fix your videos and and the views will come naturally literally just go on my channel and copy my entire template copy the way I talk copy my speed my Tempo everything that's all you got to
