so this is my 2025 YouTube strategy that I've used to get to 20 30 even 50k months in my brand new coaching business and I wanted to share with you guys what's been working and what I plan on changing going into this new year um if you don't know who I am I'm a YouTube strategist a YouTube coach and I have this YouTube channel here I've started many other YouTube channels and I've helped uh lots of other creators big and small grow on YouTube and so now I just help entrepreneurs grow on YouTube as well
and I want to get right into this because a lot of people come to me and they start asking questions on what their strategy should look like and I always asked them I said what's your end goal like what's the purpose of you actually posting on YouTube and I know for me and a lot of the people I work with it's usually just two things usually it's they want to make more money they want to make more money and I think that's a fair goal and YouTube is a great place for that but the other
thing is they just want to build their brand so I work with some people who they're totally chilling on the money piece they just are investing into their personal brand and so I'll kind of touch on this because this is kind of later 2025 for me and this is early 2025 and so I'll I'll start with the early 2025 strategy and then I can talk a little bit about uh later on in the year how I plan to blow up my personal brand but right now my focus is just to make money and and so
whatever that goal looks like you know 50k a month 100K a month 10K a month um YouTube really is a powerful platform to to make money because it builds trust with long form content so you're watching this video I hope to bring a ton of value through this training and at the end of it maybe you'll go watch more videos maybe you'll you'll check out some of my other trainings and maybe we'll work together and that's kind of been the case for a lot of the people that have been in my program and so YouTube's
super powerful and one other thing I'll say before I jump into how I plan to actually achieve this is when I was growing my business and when I'm talking about you know this the 50k months or the 30k months there was no ad spend so now we're starting to implement an ad strategy but this is just YouTube organic a couple Instagram videos but really 90% of the traffic is YouTube and so if you aren't utilizing YouTube yet this actually might be a great place for you to start which is kind of what I'm doing going
into 2025 so the first thing I wanted to talk about for my strategy is long form versus short form and I I'll tell you that my my strategy is simple it's to focus solely on long form content and the reason for that is because when you post long form you can turn that into multiple clips that are short form and and so I'd like to prioritize long form first and a lot of people have this misconception that short form is actually the thing that can get you more views get you more reach but what we
found is long form has the same and if not I mean definitely better quality viewers but you also can absolutely get pushed into the algorithm get tons of views with small Channels with large channels you can get way more views than you have subscribers going into 20 with long form content and so to me since I'm wanting to make money there's Absol there's absolutely just no reason for me to focus on just making short form content right now I would rather make long form because like I said my goal is to make money and we've
just found that long form beats money making money building trust so much more than short form does okay with that being said short form I'm still going to post it um what I'm going to do is I'm just going to hire an editor that person is going to take my long form chop it up and and put those on YouTube shorts Instagram reals and what other what whatever other um platforms we decide to post on so with long form I think of it in a few different stages here in general so if you're just starting
out or if you've kind of pivoted you're niching down or you're changing your Niche then you would start here at number one and some of you might already be at number two some of you might need to jump to number three but phase one is really when you focus on quantity and the reason I'm starting here even though I have somewhat of an established Channel and brand is because I've made a pivot so originally I really was just talking about YouTube because that's what I'm really good at but I decided to actually narrow down more
and to talk about YouTube not for entertainment channels not for faceless channels even though I've done that and I've worked with a lot of people in entertainment side of YouTube I wanted to really focus on education which obviously I have a lot of experience in you know working at think media as the creative director it's now at 3 million subscribers and when I worked there this was educational content this is where I was posting twice a week really got a lot of reps in on creating content and I decided to narrow in on educational but
not just that for business owners and because I'm doing this naturally a lot of the people who have come for the YouTube stuff you might be watching this now and you don't have a business and you're you've probably already clicked off at this point um now maybe you want to start a business and you don't have one and you're still watching because this is going to be valuable for you but this the the the channel that I'm building now is really tailored for business owners and and that was a pivot and so that's why I
had to start over at phase one which is quantity and what happens when you want to post more quantity is you can't overthink stuff so in January my goal is to do three YouTube videos a week just like this not really heavily edited I probably won't even edit this video to be honest with you because I just need to get it out and that's more important for me because I'm focusing in on quantity not on Phase 2 which is not where I'm at yet which is to focus on quality now long term just posting quantity
and a lot of videos is not the best growth strategy for YouTube because at the end of the day quality is is what's going to get recommended the most but what a lot of people don't realize with this style of content is this could be quality content if you watch this video and you find it valuable and you watch more of my videos maybe subscribe the YouTube algorithm is going to go and label this video as quality for you even though I'm in the quantity stage for some people like for a lot of the education
space we don't need crazy editing we don't need crazy storytelling I don't need to jump around my house and get different camera angles and and have crazy animations now eventually I will focus on what is quality and how can I make the experience better and um and I will f focus on that but right now it's posting three times a week and then when I get into February on it's going to be one times a week just minimum right so sometimes I might post more but really q1 is going to be quantity and I'm not
overthinking my stuff I'm not overthinking my titles my thumbnails my editing none of that I don't have time for that because I'm trying to run a business and I'm trying to post three videos a week and this I know is g to make me more money but also what's super powerful about this this season is it's going to build up a library of bingeable content and that is really really powerful because when one video takes off there's now a library of videos on my channel specifically for business owners giving them a ton of value and
that builds trust and so you want to have a library of content that when someone finds you they can go through now event probably you know in Q2 I'm going to move into quality and what that means is I'm going to focus more on less uploading and higher quality and what I mean by quality is I would Define this as a better viewing experience so that would look like having an editor actually you know when I repeat myself over and over again I fumble over my words they would cut that stuff out it could even
mean adding in emotion and some music and sound effects to the beginning to really capture you into what I'm trying to get across it's also I'm going to script these videos a lot more right now I'm just kind of on the Fly and maybe I'll do these once a week where it feels kind of just like a podcast and I'll sit down and I'll share some uh of my YouTube experience or things that I'm learning with you guys and it and it's not going to be super scripted it's going to be more like this and
actually I would love the feedback selfishly if you let me in the comments know if this is um something a video style that you would like to see once a week where it's a little more longer format in-depth teaching and and less edited I'd just be curious to know if you like this style or not but because there's an editor because we're really focusing on the script we're also focusing way more way more time on packaging which is the the 3T so packaging comes down to this your title your topic and your thumbnail title topic
and thumbnail that's what packaging is and I'm going to do way more research I'm going to spend more time on the title the topic the thumbnail and doing that will get me more views it's going to lead to more views and that's really the goal with quality is is more views I'm going to get to that in a second but then moving into phase three which maybe would be at the end of the year it would be doing both of those so it' be post more and post better stuff that performs better and so that
would end up being like you know hiring more of a team uh building that team out and really getting structure down into all of that but one one of the things that I wanted to touch on here is what I call the YouTube sales funnel because this is where I think a lot of people they don't have a strategy for us YouTube and for their business and this really simplifies it in my mind as to what kind of content to post and where to focus at and at the top we have capture content which is
getting new viewers into your world this is kind of viral a little more broad it's focused on getting new viewers in and I would consider this to be that quality phase so when I move into quality during you know Q2 of 2025 it's really focused on getting more views new viewers viral which means more views now the season I'm in right now which is q1 of 2025 is connection content and connection content the intention here is not to go viral actually and it's not to be more broad it's actually to be very specific and really
talk to for me it would be entrepreneurs for you it would be whoever that person is you're trying to reach in your industry and it would be specific can make videos specifically for them that is high value and you don't care about the views it's not about new viewers it's really about returning viewers and the goal of this really is to all of this should build trust and I think of trust um in in three things which is this I think of it as proof so in this in this content you want to share proof
so in the beginning I talked about how I've worked with many people how some of the results I've gotten with using my YouTube strategy for my business and I'm trying to share credibility and proof that this actually works and then you also want to provide just a ton of value if you make videos If you're trying to build trust and someone watches your video and they just felt like you led them on the whole way and it wasn't actually valuable for them they're not going to trust you and they're not going to go watch more
of your content because it the cont cont wasn't good so you still need good content when I say good content in that sense I mean valuable content that helps them learn something or become aware of something and when you take all that and you add time to it and you commit to this for three 6 12 months that builds massive trust and I actually did this before starting my business you know I was posting online um I was posting at think media I was working with clients I was doing a lot of stuff and I
and I built trust through the content that I was making online which literally just because of that trust with my personal brand and the value I gave the credibility I had the results I've gotten for myself and my students that is what really allowed me to have the first 100K um $100,000 in 74 days from launching my business is simply because I had that personal brand that had trust and so connection content will build trust if you do it right and then at the bottom you have a conversion content now not absolutely every single business
owner is going to need this but conversion content really it's to get people to The Next Step that could be to book a sales call could go to your landing page um to you know whatever that next step is for people to go and work with you for me I have my video uh my conversion video we call it a YouTube vssl within the content Academy which is my coaching program and this YouTube vssl It's like a video sales letter but it's public on YouTube and you can check the link in the description if you
want to go watch it I literally just break down exactly how to grow your business on YouTube I provide a ton of value big overview scope so that you know exactly I go more in depth on all of this and then what happens is at the end of it I literally pitch my program I have a very strong call to action and I tell people where to go and now what I can do is every video I make I can just keep sending them down this line and as more people watch this video I've I've
been getting leads every single day since posting this people dming me the word um what is the word Academy they DM me Academy because they want more details on joining the content Academy to grow on YouTube and that is leading to more leads and more sales and so you really need all these pieces but here's what I was going to say here q1 Q2 I I just did this literally like January 2nd I posted my YouTube vsl I actually recommend a lot of you start here because that will get you good results um even if
you're not getting a ton of views you'll get leads you'll get bed calls you'll get sales just from having that video but then secondly I would start here which is where I am so if I just started TR trying to go viral making capture content I would not build as much trust because I would be posting less and there would be less content for people to go through and maybe you've heard of the Google you know 714 world people people need seven hours like you need seven hours of content for people to binge and so
like right now I don't know how long this video is going to be if it's 20 minutes or 30 minutes or whatever it looks like but I'm I'm I'm building up the opportunity for people to spend a lot of time with me and for me to give them as much value as I can within that time so you need that and that's why I'm focusing there first and then once I have that library of bingeable content all I got to do is focus on getting new viewers and more viewers to my videos which is creating
capture content and so I really think this is the the right order to to go in and that's why I'm focusing here first and then later on I'm going to move into capture content and like I said when I move into that capture content these are kind of some of the things that I'm going to focus on is packaging scripting editing all of that and that's going to actually result in more views on YouTube for sure and so one more important note here is when I move into capture content and if if you feel like
you're like look I I got content on my channel I just need more views then this is for you if you're just looking to get more views if you want to make capture content here's what I'm not going to do okay the for my 2025 strategy I'm not going to focus on search now some of you guys are going crazy with trying to find Search terms and stuffed keywords in your descriptions and tags and that literally does not work anymore the reason search is not the best opportunity for you to grow in 2025 is because
when you go on search it's limited results it it might be six to eight videos and then it's going to start suggesting content and and that's called YouTube recommendations so there's not for most of the time going to be just pages and pages of searches and usually it's the first page anyways and so I think they know this so they're just trying to recommend the right content to you but the other part about when you go on search it's very much based on your watch History so if you've watched a channel before and then you
search a term on um internet marketing you're going to get Russell Brunson videos if you've watched Russell Brunson even if it's a small channel that you've watched so it's powerful once you're discovered but if you aren't discovered yet then search isn't the best thing now the other thing is focusing in on recommendations you can literally 10x your views very very quickly because it's just sending it to people who are interested in the topic that you're talking about and so when you focus on actually trying to get people to click on a video that pops up
on the homepage and YouTube is recommending videos on the homepage what we want to do is find the right topics that will get recommended and then how you get them to actually click is you focus on that title and you focus on the thumbnail and those three things here will absolutely 10x your views on YouTube and it's what's gotten my students insane results right I I have one student who started the program with 1500 subscribers and then ended the program at the end of the 90 days days I think with 6,000 subscribers and a couple
hundred, views and started with 1,500 view uh subscribers and how did she do that she literally just focused on this topic title thumbnail now there's actually one more kind of technique that might get you a ton of views and also just build massive amounts of trust and that technique is what I like to call the Showcase technique and when you do this correctly it it could absolutely get you a ton of views but it also builds massive amounts of trust by using this technique and if you click the video on the screen I break down
exactly how this works you're going to leave that video with a ton of good video ideas that might actually get you a ton of views and definitely build you a ton of trust in your Niche see you guys in the next video peace
