inside the bottle city of Candor Cal L has his mind corrupted by an alien telepath named Lila she Alters his memories forgetting he's Superman and believing he's a normal Kryptonian married to Lila and working for the government Cal begins to question this reality when he's attacked by a group of thugs during the confrontation a ray of yellow sunlight hits him and he reactively uses his powers tackling the leader at super speed crashing into a civilian home Cal screams at the thugs to leave him alone accidentally releasing his freeze breath and turning a nearby child into
an icy statue horrified Cal flees the scene now being pursued for Murder By Prius an unstable member of kandor's police force Lila finds Cal his mind broken by grief with cow weakened Lila capitalizes and siphons his powers fleeing Candor and flying to Metropolis Clark having his real memories fled back to him gives Chase Lila reveals to Clark that the Frozen child was merely a psychic construct she created and Clark was innocent but their talk is interrupted by a rampaging Prius his mind warped by Earth's unfamiliar atmosphere during his Pursuit Lila ultimately sacrifices herself and Prius
and Lila disappear in an explosion their current whereabouts are unknown but Superman knows they'll return stronger than ever
