in the air heavy and challenging you should know that at this time God's people the Israelites had been conquered and exiled to Babylon it was like a full stop for their fate when the promised land was in ruins the people were plunged into despair after a devastating War and what was more terrible was that the land they once lived in was now in the hands of foreigners many people gave up saying to themselves God has abandoned us everything is over but in the midst of that Darkness a glimmer of hope appeared God in his Mercy
chose this moment to intervene he wanted not only to comfort but also to deliver a message that could shake even the most hardened darkness and to do that he chose Ezekiel a Jewish Prophet living in Babylon to be his messenger but instead of Simply delivering the message with words God chose a very special and dramatic way he used powerful visual images profound symbols to imprint on ezekiel's mind and through them to communicate to his people and from there the story that bears a deep imprint in the Bible is opened Ezekiel on a normal day suddenly
felt a divine power of God enveloping him it was a shock to the soul signaling a great change that was about to happen in that moment he was brought to a strange place before his eyes was a vast field of Dry Bones millions of white skeletons lay scattered creating a horrifying scene death completely dominated this place there was not a single sound except the sound of the wind whistling through the bones it was a haunting image enough to make anyone shudder he must have been very frightened and curious about the Reason God brought him here
was it a punishment from the Supreme Being or a strange Mission assigned by God and most of all Ezekiel was about to witness one of of the greatest miracles of his life millions of skeletons enough to fill a large city each skeleton tells a tragic story of Lost life they are scattered everywhere from the skeletons of adults to the skeletons of children all withered and white Under the Sun Israel is desolate like giant tombs covering the souls of the people of Israel with a layer of Misty despair death hangs in the air like a ghost
haunting every corner making them feel like small meaningless grains of sand in the desert of life but then a glimmer of hope appears like a small light in the dark night God with his infinite power will demonstrate that even in the most desperate circumstances life can still flourish God asked the prophet aiel son of man can these bones live he responded with surprising wisdom oh Lord only you know ezekiel's thinking could be understood as Lord I know I am small and weak if it were me I would give up but you are Almighty so please
tell me what you want me to do the Lord said to Ezekiel prophesy to these bones and say to them dry bones hear the word of the Lord this is what the Lord God says to you I will cause Spirit to enter you and you will live I will put senu in you and cover you with flesh and skin I will also put spirit in you and you will live this is how you will know that I am the Lord Ezekiel 37 4-6 Ezekiel felt his heart stop beating before him was a a sea of
White Bones the clearest symbol of death but God wanted him to bring back to life what was dead the thought was crazy but also fascinating he took a deep breath then spoke his voice echoing in the quiet space Dry Bones hear the word of the Lord if anyone had seen Ezekiel at this moment they would have said the prophet was crazy in that moment his heart was broken and then mended it was the moment he realized faith is not a choice but a life like a seed swn in barren soil the word of God carries
within it a miraculous power and when the green tree sprouts we truly understand the power of faith it is the power to change the whole world including the small worlds in each person's heart it is Hope and Faith in a Supreme Being who can do Miracles Ezekiel stood before the pile of dry bones his heart filled with doubt but when he spoke the prophecy according to God's word a miracle happened the dry bones began to shake to collide with each other then each tiny bone found its place connecting together to form a complete skeleton next
a thin layer of skin covered them like a brand new coat when the coat was completed thousands of living bodies appeared lying peacefully in the heart of the valley life and death Decay and rebirth all Blended together in a magical moment finally before his eyes the human bodies were perfectly revived but those people were like dolls without Souls not a single sign of life no no human breath existed in this place that scene became even more tragic more desperate than the dry bones but then a voice rang out breaking the deadly silence son of man
prophesy to the spirit and say to the spirit thus says the Lord God come O Spirit from the Four Winds and blow on these people dead that they may live it was the voice of the holy God and when Ezekiel obeyed the command a miracle happened the land that had been As Dead As a cemetery now awoke with a strong Vitality thousands of souls that had Lin dormant in the darkness stood up at once forming a mighty Army the sound of gasping the sound of clashing weapons and screams echoed throughout the valley tearing apart the
previously silent atmosphere life had returned strong and powerful erasing all traces of Destruction those people suddenly became full of life standing up from the dead a new life was Reborn the lesson is that life is not something we create ourselves but a Divine gift that only God can give that is the decisive factor in the Perfection of a human being in God's hands we are unfinished blocks of clay he is using his breath to breathe life into us so that we can become new people this process requires patience and trust but when we look back
we will see that everything is in his perfect plan God explained to Ezekiel that the dry bones represent the nation of Israel after many years of Disobedience God punished the Israelites by handing them over to their enemies the city of Jerusalem was raised the temple was destroyed and the people were deported to Babylon all of this was the result of sin the Israelites turned away from God and followed false gods and devoted themselves to doing wrong because they did not repent and change their ways they received the punishment they deserved in the face of Devastation
they realized their mistakes but lost hope slavery was their new reality and they felt dead like dry bones now when faced with the harsh truth they realized the value of repentance and returned to God the Israelites had sinned but now they repented and turned to God and God had mercy on his people the hope of the Israelites was gone but God showed that he had the power to bring them back to life God promised to restore the Israelites by his spirit and bring them back to their Homeland death and Devastation would turn into life and
blessing the change that God gives is like a small seed sewn into the ground at first we only see a tiny black dot seemingly nothing but wait patiently day by day hour by hour that seed quietly grows sprouts and Blossoms life is the same great changes often start with small steps God teaches us that patience is the key to opening the door to success we humans often want an instant Miracle a dramatic change in an instant but the process of regeneration in the valley of dry bones teaches us patience he is like a talented Craftsman
meticulously carving a living work of art maybe you are feeling like a disjointed skeleton not finding a connection or maybe you are gradually forming but have not felt the breath of New Life the important thing is that you believe that this process is not over God is still at work and one day you will Breathe new life amazingly instead of breathing life into the dry bones himself God used Ezekiel picture the prophet standing in a field of White Bones hands raised to the sky praying to God and then something miraculous happens each bone shakes joins
