[Music] I want to pray with you today to encourage you and also to strengthen your faith the word of God teaches us that faith is the key to everything for the believer in Christ it's by faith that we come to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior it's also by faith that we live our lives with joy and gladness knowing that there is eternity to be spent with the father above and perhaps one of the most prominent verses in the Bible about faith is he Hebrews 11:6 but without faith it is impossible to please
him for he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him this underlines just how faith is a requirement for the believer and on the topic of Faith there are times when you have to encourage yourself there are times that you will have to learn to talk to yourself and remind yourself of the promises of God tell yourself who God says you are and when you do this you will find that you will lift up to walk on top of your situation rather than
underneath it if you do this it will lift your faith tell yourself Bible verses such as nahe 1:7 it says the Lord is good a refuge in times of trouble he cares for those who trust in him tell yourself Isaiah 40: vers 29 he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak tell yourself Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you he will never leave you nor forsake you do not be afraid do not be discouraged now one of the most powerful cases of faith
and prayer and action is the story of jabz jaz's mother bore him in great pain due to this agonizing birth she in turn named him jabz the name jabz literally means he will cause pain in those times what you named a child was incredibly important many believed that names would determine the fate or destiny of a person they believed the name would be used to speak or prophesy good fortune or Prosperity on the child and its lineage some also believe that a good or Bad Name could determine a child's personality so jaz's mother's choice in
naming him it carried a lot of weight now not much is mentioned about jabz in the Bible but but it does mention that jabz was more honorable than his brothers that says a lot despite having a name such as the one he was given saying that he will cause pain he was able to overcome his obstacles and he still became more honorable than and his brothers he was able to make a better name for himself than the one he was given the Bible says in 1st Chronicles 4 verses 9 and 10 jabz was more honorable
than his brothers his mother had named him jabz saying I gave birth to him in pain jabz cried out to the god of Israel oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain and God granted his request jabz prayed and said God bless me and enlarge my territory but he didn't stop there he still wanted the hand of God to be with him and to keep him from Evil his prayer was sincere and it touched the
very Throne of God his prayer it rebuked every evil thing from that very moment and it covered him from any and everything else bad that could happen in this future he used the pain of past and the troubles he was facing in his present and he asked God to recreate his future jabz wanteded a future where he would not be the bringer of pain he deliberately chose to ignore what had been spoken over him before and he believed God for something bigger children of God we too must have the same level of faith we have
to take the limits off God jabz Unleashed his faith to allow God to work his his best work he took the breakes off God and asked him for something big now something big for you can be as simple as saying God I want to be the first one in my family to maintain a godly marriage and not get a divorce for someone else something big may be a desire to have children who serve and honor God and break the generational curses in your bloodline whatever your big request is you have to take the limits off
God and actually believe you see jabz didn't get caught up in what everyone else thought about him Jaz didn't allow something terrible that someone else spoke over his life to take over he didn't allow it to dictate what he wanted for himself he didn't let his past determine his future he knew that God was more than able to rewrite his story he knew that the god of Israel was The Great I Am that I am and that he was the author and the finisher of his faith now let's go to God In Prayer dear Lord
Jesus we ask that you would strengthen our faith today we stand and believe in your word so that our faith would be lifted and strengthened your word tells us that even though I walk through the darkest Valley I will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me we confess your word which tells us to trust in you Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding but in all our ways submit to you because you will make our paths straight God your word is
true and it's Everlasting we stand in faith and confess Psalm 91:10 to be our reality no evil will befall me or my family no plague will come near my home or my body in Jesus name thank you for your word father you are ever faithful you are our hiding place thank you for your word which is living and sharper than any two-edged sword we're praying at this time because we need you to strengthen our faith Lord we want to stand strong as children of God we want to stand strong unmoved unshaken by the enemy because
God our faith is rooted in you our trust is deep and hidden in you you are a God who honors your word and your word in Jeremiah 17:7 says blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord for he shall be like a tree planted By the Waters which spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes but its Leaf will be green today Father we confess that our trust is in the Lord God Almighty and because it is written in scripture I claim and
declare that I am like a tree planted By the Waters and I am rooted in Jesus Christ I believe your word which says that angels are surrounding me and my family and that you have charge over my life Lord you are indeed a God who is faithful to deliver those who trust in him deliver me oh Lord I pray that you stop every attack from Satan and his evil forces in Jesus name Lord cancel every plan of the devil with your Mighty power I declare through the authority that's in the name of Jesus Christ The
Living Son of God that there is no weapon formed against me or my family that will prosper I declare through the authority in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that no attack from the devil no plan no scheme that is set will be successful because I am hidden by the blood of Jesus I thank you in advance for giving me the victory father Psalm 34:9 says many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all and I understand that many will be the challenges that I will face in this
life I understand that I will face many obstacles and I will come up against opposition as I grow and develop in my faith but in those moments of trouble Holy Spirit I ask that you remind me of God's word remind me of that promise in Psalm 34:9 there may be many afflictions that I face but my Lord will deliver me out of them all let this verse be etched into the deepest parts of my soul so that I will remember that the Lord will deliver me from all afflictions so with this we will not trust
in our own ability we will not trust in people or wealthy friends we will not trust in the scientists and Scholars of this world but it is the Lord God Almighty that we will place our trust in the one who can give us the guarantee that he will Deliver Us from all Affliction regardless of what form they come in what shape they come in what size or how intimidating they are we stand and believe that God will deliver us safely from every Affliction It's Only You Jesus who can block the fiery darts thrown by the
enemy It's Only You Jesus who can keep me truly safe and secure you alone can preserve my life my health my peace of mind even only my Lord my Defender can destroy every plan that the devil has you King Jesus can expose the traps that have been set before me so I place my faith in you I place my trust in you I know that if I abide in you if I dwell in your house then your presence it will cover me from head to toe and if God be for me who can stand against
me Father build my faith so that I may be a strong believer one who is bold and courageous one who walks in the authority of a child of God Lord we pray and confess that we are protected by by the blood of King Jesus Christ we have nothing to fear because the Lord is by our side we have nothing to fear because God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind I declare that this season that I'm in will not destroy me I will not
be crushed by any challenge I face I will not be destroyed by any situation or burden but I will stand in faith and I'll look unto King Jesus who is my savior he's my help he's a stronghold in the day of trouble Lord I desire to do your will use me as a vessel father in any capacity Use Me Lord in any way that you please so that I can have a positive impact a Godly impact on all those around me I pray that I may be the bringer of words that encourage others in their
