Interaction with the Qur'an The feeling that this Qur'an was sent to me especially Directed to my heart Allah Almighty directs messages to me Me Yes Allah called His words Healing Allah called His words Mercy All these names are for the Qur'an So when the words of Allah Almighty are said No These are the words of our Lord So when I open the Qur'an My interaction with the verses will be different Why? This is called contemplation and love he said "Look, to clear it up, everyone said it's poetry, No one knows better than me about this
And by Allah, it is not poetry And by Allah, this speech will have a great influence." And he said to them "What brought you to our neighborhood? And why are you trying to sway our meek ones? For if fear for your lives, Then leave this neighborhood now". O Lord, make us from the people of the Qur'an O Lord, make us from the people of the Qur'an O Lord, teach us the Qur'an And make us understand the Qur'an And ease our recitation of the Qur'an And ease our understanding of the Qur'an O Lord, make us from
the people of Quran O Lord, make us from the people of Quran As we agreed in this series We will talk about types of worship Four types The prayer The Qur'an The supplication And the Thikr We want to taste the worships I mean, the worship should not be empty Or without meaning as I described it last time And I think at the end of the last episode Masha'Allah, I mean, we really reached a new state When you understand the details of the prayer Step by step And action by action And supplication by supplication And Thikr
by Thikr And a state And you look at a part of the prayer of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him And the companions and the predecessors So, the state is really It became different for me Today, we want to talk about the Qur'an The Qur'an, of course. As I said last time in the prayer It includes all the worships That we will talk about So, today's start with the Qur'an We really want to live A taste of the Qur'an And to understand I mean The importance of The connection And the relationship The continuous
relationship with the Qur'an Alhamdulellah and prayers and peace be upon the messenger of Allah May Allah's peace, mercy and blessings be upon the messenger of Allah May Allah's peace, mercy and blessings be upon him May Allah protect you, Eng. Hilal May Allah be pleased with you and grant you peace May Allah be pleased with you May Allah be pleased with you Amen Last time we talked about Prayer and every meeting after prayer will serve prayer because we said last time that prayer inlcudes all kinds of worship that will mention it in this series Inshallah So
every type of worship we will talk about will serve prayer, an the worship type itself because a Muslim does all types of worship individually, separated from prayer throughout the day And we repeat that the reason we talked about these four worships is that they are repeated for Muslims every day not a day should pass without Muslims being connected these four worships a special connection; prayer Quran Thikr and Dua We talked about prayer and I ask Allah to make what we said about it beneficial, acceptable and blessed and to revive our hearts by it and the
hearts of the youth and to make us from those who never miss a prayer the ones whose hearts live with prayer the ones who hearts interact with prayer Amen the ones whose hearts love prayer, Amen May Allah make us from the people of prayer Amen By the will of Allah, we will talk about a serious matter We will talk about the Quran and the Quran I want to start from a beginning a beginning that I think is appropriate For the general situation of the youth who want to benefit from the Quran the youth and all
Muslims and most of them who want to benefit from the Quran they have a kind of shyness with dealing with the Quran and interacting with the Quran and leaving the heart to the Quran and The attempt to be guided by the Quran and to be steadfast by the guidenace of the Quran because the Quran Allah made it the greatest Allah called the Quran in the Quran itself: "the call to believe" How? Allah said in the call of the humble believers In the last verses of Surah Al-Imran "Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling
to believe" Who is this caller? The caller is the Quran as Muhammad Ibn Ka'b Al-Quradi said The caller is the Quran and not the prophet because not all of them did see the prophet but the Quran is what remains in the time of the prophet And after the time of the prophet until now The call to believe is the biggest carrier of faith and the biggest arouser of faith in the heart is the Quran Let us agree that the Quran is the greatest thing that will revive my heart that it will revive my heart and
revive the faith in it Why are we afraid of this? Because we have a delusional image about the Quran and unfortunately it is a false image So when we say The Quran is suitable for everyone The Quran is suitable for the illiterate who cannot read or write and is suitable for the scholar who is specialized in the sciences of Sharia and has memorized the words of the prophet The Quran is suitable for the old and for the young, male & female It is suitable for the Arabs and for the non-Arabs The Quran is healing for
all of their hearts The benefit of the Quran is not meant for a specific people Never, never by Allah Rather, its benefit was on the mountain which is an unliving thing great and abundant "If we had sent this Quran on a mountain you would have seen it humble Shivering from the fear of Allah" Because of the influence of the Quran on the mountain it will be humbled, and it will crack from the fear of Allah So we must realize that the Quran is beneficial is for everyone without specification The Quran is beneficial for all me
and you, and them And for the young and for the old and for the scholars, and the illiterate and for the Arabs and the non-Arabs So this pushes us and opens the doors for us to have a direct relationship with the Quran We mention the illiterate and the non-Arab to say that there should be no middleman between the Quran and us There shouldn't be someone telling me to be careful this means this or that No, I can be influenced by the Quran without understanding it all beforehand or without knowing the meanings of every word Not
at all, we are talking about how to be influenced by the Quran, not understanding every word How to take benefit from the Quran The Quran was sent by Allah To us to bring us out of the darkness to the light "A Book that We sent to you to bring people out of the darkness to the light By the permission of their Lord to the right path" The light has come to you from Allah to guide you to the right path" and to guide you again It means two "guides" in the same verse The Quran guides
to the best path not a right path The Quran guides to the best My commitment to the Quran and my connection to the Quran and my commitment to the Quran guide me to the highest thing in everything The Quran blesses everything If I wete a merchant It would make my business a success it would make my studies successful it would make my percharactersonality enlightened He would make my mind balanced He would make my heart righteous He would make my senses follow the right path This is the Quran The Quran guides to the best path `so
when the Quran entered the hearts of the Prophet's Companions The people who before the prophet was sent used To worship idols to worship stones to cut family ties, used to be bad neighbors used to overpower the weak and bury baby girls and do evil things They did things that Allah would not let them do Then the Quran comes to them and they become the purest hearts and the purest souls and the least preposterous And the deepest in knowledge and the greatest attachment to Allah and the greatest in faith This person who buried his daughter yesterday
now stands in front of Allah in the night prayer and his face is lined with tears of penance there were two black lines of tears We need to know that this Quran changes the souls of the creation We say that the Quran is a miracle The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was given many miracles but his greatest miracle is the Quran How can the Quran be a miracle? The Quran is a miracle, right? What is the miracle of the Quran? What is the miracle of the Quran? The miracle of the Quran is a
miracle of speech and revelation And a miracle of revealing the unknown in past and in future and a miracle of science and a miracle of legislation But the greatest miracle in the Quran and the one who called the Quran a miracle for him is as Imam Al-Khattab said what it does to hearts and how it changes souls making it with the hearts making it with the hearts When the Quran descends on the heart It explodes the springs of faith in it When the Quran mixes with the soul it brings out a hero in worship and
a hero in striving and a hero in working for the religion of Allah and a hero in patience on Allah's decrees and a hero in commitment to the Sharia in general This hero, the believer The one who believes in the one God, and follows him and the one who is never defeated This is the hero: the companions Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, Ali and others from the teaching of the Quran. and from the influence of the Quran So the companions who were attached to the Quran an amazing attachment They were not afraid of dealing with the
Quran The Prophet himself gave them space When the verse is sent The verse is sent did the Prophet gather his companions and the companions asked about it the Prophet explained it and explained its meaning so that they can understand it? No, he did not The companions were happy and they were excited when a verse was revealed "Oh we wish a verse would be revealed" "has something been revealed?" So when the verse was sent they take it and fly with joy Sometimes the companions come to the Prophet in some verses and you find that the companions
are afraid of the Prophet No, I can't When the verse descends Allah says "Those who believe and do not mix their faith with injustice They are safe and on the right path" If they do not mix their faith with injustice we will all be wrong We will all be wrong This is very difficult So they came to the Prophet and said O Messenger of Allah And which of us does not wrong himself Prophet says: "It is not that Did you not hear the saying of the righteous servant O my son, do not worship anyone with
Allah Indeed, worshipping another is a great injustice" I have a point here What witness? The point is that the Prophet used to leave them Sometimes they understood the Qur'an incorrectly But there was a special interaction between them and the Qur'an A direct interaction I don't want to be between the Qur'an and the companions yes, but We can't compare ourselves to the companions They had great knowledge in Aarbic language and they were Language to them was natural When the verse descends They will understand it better than we can without needing to ask and when they are
unsure about a meaning like "they believed and did not wear mix faith with injustice" They go and ask the Prophet They will find the right answer But we can't do as the companions did. The answer to this Is in one word We are talking about influence, not understanding Influence is not all based on understanding Exactly The Qur'an has an effect I told you about the Persians The Persians from Persia, Rome, Habesha and those who are not Arabs and they don't have this skill in understanding the Arabic language and he is not an original Arab He
used to understand the Qur'an to the extent of his understanding and the understanding of Arabic and he was influenced and he believed and he was influenced So the Qur'an is good for him in terms of its benefit and effect But not in terms of that I say that I understand that the Qur'an is easy The Qur'an is not No, the Qur'an is precious The Qur'an is great understanding The Qur'an needs interpretation It needs knowledge and understanding But in terms of its benefit It benefits everyone I can't find a healer for my heart like the Qur'an
I can't find a balm for my heart like the Qur'an Why do I say "I"? Because the beginning of my commitment Was because of the Qur'an And when I memorized the Qur'an I experienced the taste of faith I swear to Allah I swear to Allah I wished that my days in memorizing the Qur'an would not end I mean Every time I talk to the youth I tell them I wished that the Qur'an would not end That my days in memorizing the Qur'an would not end until I die Because of what I felt in that time
of memorizing the Qur'an of purification of the heart and purification of the soul and attachment to Allah the pleasure of worship and the sweetness of salvation I mean I didn't find anything like it after I finished memorizing the Qur'an The Qur'an is amazing in this regard I mean why did you only feel that while memorizing? why not during recitation? it renews your attachment every time. Because the time of memorizing has continuous repetition of the Qur'an and it is not like any other time When I am trying to memorize a page it also applies to revision
If you are revising the same amount, I am talking about myself I mean if a person would leave the Qur'an I'm not talking about myself But really Allah guides us and makes us from the righteous But if I would repeat the Qur'an as I did in the time of memorizing foe example I have to recite seven parts today I have to keep quran in my hands the beginning to the end of the day The Qur'an is in my hand And I'm afraid And I sleep with the Qur'an next to me Or under the pillow And
I pray And then I start reviewing from the crack dawn I have a long way to go So the long time spent with the Qur'an with it in time of memorizing I didn't notice it it is a long journey I really wasnt aiming at that time to purify my heart And purify my soul And I would leave what I was before the rightness and guidance from the bitterness of the heart and the emptiness of the soul Not at all By the grace of Allah I loved the Qur'an And may Allah forgive me and guide me
when I was completely away from the prayer And the reason of my start on this path I mean the memorizing was my love for the Qur'an The Qur'an has pleasure It has beauty I used to listen to the sheikh Al-Sayyid Metwaly, may Allah's mercy be upon him In Surah Yusuf And I can't count how many times I heard this surah from the sheikh I can't count. I listened to it on repeat. It is on 24/7 except while I was sleeping But sometimes I used to miss prayers I mean it may come a time for a
prayer It may start and end And I don't pray but I listen to the sheikh Al-Sayyid's recitation I was amazed I listened to him once while commuting in public transport And then I searched for the sheikh reading with this beautiful recitation I got the recitation by the grace of Allah And then listened to it when I was playing I was listening to it at home when I am studying Until Some people advised me I ask Allah to reward him with goodness And to bless him and to preserve him When they found that I was hung
on A verse in Surah Yusuf From what he was reciting "And when he reached his maximum We gave him wisdom and knowledge And thus we reward the good" "And when the one who he was in her house came onto him And she closed the doors and asked him to sin He refused and said God is good to me, I will not do wrong" That means that those two verses have taken my heart So some people advised me when I was reciting it on my own Without at all knowing that someone had heard me they said,
you should memorize the Quran. A shame to waste a voice like yours. Subhanallah. By Allah, that's what happened. And I want to tell you The first time I attended the Quran memorizing class, I wasn't expecting that it would make me committed to prayer. you still insist. I mean, I went to the Quran class. And I mean, the Qur'an is sweet. I mean, I found a great pleasure in the Qur'an. When I started memorizing the Qur'an in the first class, After I sat down and the sheikh gave me the part that I was supposed to memorize.
And he read it with me. And I read it and he corrected me After that I left, I said, no, that's enough. I should fix my prayer. Enough. Yes. From that time, praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Praise be to Allah. But, praise be to Allah, I am from a House of the Qur'an, by the grace of Allah, the Exalted. I mean, my father, may Allah preserve him and bless him in life and please him and benefit him. And make him one of the righteous, truthful, righteous. Amen. My father memorized as a
grown man, by grace of Allah, more than twenty parts of the Qur'an. MashaAllah. In the train. on his commute to work and back home. MashaAllah. I was amazed by my father, may Allah preserve him and bless him in life. I mean, I hope he listens to this. I ask Allah to reward him with goodness. Amen, O Lord. And to help me be a good son to him, Amen. Amen. I mean, my father was very much inspired by the Qur'an. And he was very fond of the Qur'an. Very much. MashaAllah. And he loves to pray behind
me even though I am, I mean, I am, I mean, his voice is beautiful. His voice is beautiful, beautiful. MashaAllah. But he doesn't prefer to be Imam, I mean, I don't know why. So, I tell him to fear Allah [joking]. Like this, in front of all people? So, I mean, he doesn't like to pray Imam, unfortunately. Yes. So, may Allah make him one of the truthful, the righteous. Yes. My father, may Allah bless him in his presence. May Allah bless him in his presence. I mean, inshaAllah, I hope, I hope, inshaAllah, I think he will
be one of the people of the Qur'an. Because he is very fond of the Qur'an. He memorized more than twenty parts. But he didn't finish yet. And, inshaAllah, he will finish. I ask Allah, Almighty, to help him, I mean, to memorize his book. And to make him one of the people of the Qur'an. The Quran scholars, the ones who apply it. Amen. And, I mean, a thing is also mentioned from the beautiful things in our house Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, you have the praise. And, I mean, I intend to
mention these things. Pardon me for talking about this in length, it is my nature. No, no. I just find that people want to know and say. Look. I mean, I swear I don't like these things at all. I don't like to talk about myself. It is relevant to what we are discussing. I think the occasion is good. Yes, I mean, my mother, also, as well, by the grace of Allah, Almighty, memorized Quran. Maybe my father memorized the twenty parts of the Qur'an after maybe the age of forty, for example. But my mother, by the grace
of Allah, Almighty, began memorizing the Qur'an late. My father memorized the Qur'an before I began on this path, but my mother started memorizing it after the age of 50. Masha'Allah And now she memorizes 20 parts. Masha'Allah She started after the age of 50 and now she memorizes 20 parts by the grace of Allah Almighty. And continues. And the reason for her memorization of the Qur'an was that she came to pray Tahajjud with me in the mosque once. I pray Imam in this mosque. Masha'Allah So she entered the women's mosque, and the women were very kind
to her, and they took care of her, and were friendly. So she came out and she was very happy. My mother wins I think. Allah is the Greatest. She started after the age of 60. Masha'Allah, praise be to Allah. Praise be to Allah. Did she memorize any? Yes, she memorized 16 parts. Allah is the Greatest. Masha'Allah, praise be to Allah. May Allah bless you. May Allah bless you. How great is the goodness in Muhammad's Ummah! Praise be to Allah. Praise be to Allah. Praise be to Allah. May Allah make them both from the people of
the Qur'an Ameen Allah make my and your mother of the people of the Qur'an Ameen Allah makes my mother and your mother of the people of the Qur'an We pray to Allah to make them of this Quran scholars, who apply it. Masha'Allah So I suggested that she memorize, and they also did. Subhan Allah, so this was the great epiphany, and she went, and now she is reciting the Qur'an better than me. Masha'Allah I mean, Masha'Allah, she recites with perfect tajweed. The point here is that There is no one who is far from the benefit of
the Qur'an. No one. No matter what, whenever the Qur'an becomes someone's companion, it changes their life and turns it upside down. It changes it to the best version. This Qur'an guides me to what is the best, the best, the best, and the most beautiful thing. So, the benefit. I like how the scholars explain the two types of contemplation: One is the contemplation of meanings, and the other is the contemplation of love. The contemplation of meanings: I open the Qur'an, I know the meanings of the verses, The interpretations, the interpretations of the Companions, and the understanding
of the scholars, and that type of contemplation requires some knowledge. You need to understand in order to know how to contemplate in this type. And there is a type contemplation before that type as well. It is called the contemplation of love. To know it, to know that this Qur'an is the words of who? The words of Allah. It is enough for you to read the words of Allah. The messages of Allah are for you. The words of Allah are for you. The guidance of Allah is for your heart. This Qur'an, who is it that spoke
it? Allah Who did He give it to? To the best of angels. Who did He send it to? To the best of people. At what time? At the best of nights. So, this Qur'an is for the best of hearts. And this Qur'an is kept in the best of hearts. And whenever this Qur'an descends on a heart, It makes it the purest of hearts, a pure heart, and a pure heart. A Contemplation of love. This Qur'an, my knowledge that it is the words of Allah, changes my heart. It makes me understand the Qur'an, and live with
the Qur'an in a different state. For example, Umm Ayman, the prophet's caretaker in his childhood days, she brought him up, may Allah be pleased with her. When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) died, Abu Bakr said to Umar, these two great one, He said to him, Shall we visit the Umm Ayman, as the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him used to visit her. Let's go visit the Umm Ayman. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him went used to visit her. So they went and sat with the Umm Ayman. When they sat with the Umm
Ayman, Umm Ayman cried. Abu Bakr tried to comfort here so they (Abu Bakr and Umar) said to her, He said to her, O Umm Ayman, did you not know that Allah, the almighty has prepared for for the prophet peace be upon him What is better than this whole world? Why are you crying? And they think that she was crying of sadness for the prophet's death She said, By Allah, I do not cry because he died, peace be upon him but I cry because now the revelation from the heaven is forever stopped. I cry because the
path between us and heaven has been closed. We will not listen to the words of our Lord. We will not receive any message from our Lord. We will not receive any revelation from our Lord. See, the love? this love? she only cried because the revelation from the heaven has stopped. Everyone, this love, this feeling, makes faith flow in your heart like a hot spring as soon as you open the Qur'an. Sometimes some of our mothers In the villages and so on. By Allah, sometimes I used to sit with my relatives So, I mean, maybe, I
mean, I will mention this since it is relevant again, I'm talking about my family again, Okay let's talk about this It's a family gathering today! May Allah make us from the righteous. May Allah make my words useful and beneficial. Amen. But, in the time of COVID, I used to preach (make khutba) at home, I used to pray, and I used to meet people. And my wife's grandmother, may Allah have mercy on her and forgive her, may she rest in peace, used to be a illiterate. she could not read or write. By Allah, that was the
case, she never reads and writes. While I spoke, normally, I mean, Whenever I used to mention a verse from the Quran, and I say it normally, any verse, any verse I mention while speaking, she starts crying. So, I was very surprised. So, in the private meetings with her, I asked her and she told her that she loves the Qur'an. See, just like Umm Ayman. Subhan Allah. I mean, the women who are simple and maybe sometimes they are illiterate They are not good at reading or writing except the Qur'an. The Qur'an is recited. The Qur'an is
recited. This is the word of our Lord. This is not the word of anyone. This is neither my words nor your words. The words of the creatures are dead. They are useless. They are not valuable. But the words of Allah is a spirit. "And thus We have revealed to you a spirit." A spirit. Allah, Almighty, called His words a spirit. And in this, there is an indication of His amazing secret of resurrection. Allah called His words a light. Allah called His words a proof. Allah called His words a cure. Allah called His words a mercy.
All these are the names of the Qur'an. So, these are the words of our Lord. So, when the words of Allah, Almighty, are said, No. These are the words of our Lord. So, when I open the Qur'an and interact with the verses, My interaction with it will be different. Why? This is called contemplation of love. in front of me are the words of Allah. The words of Allah. These are not the words of any of our creatures. The first thing I know is that these are the words of our Lord. No. No. No. No. I
feel fear and submission. No. No. These are the messages of Allah to me. 862 00:28:39,600 --> 00:28:40,600 Like a woman in old times who had a son living abroad and had been away for many years. and He sent her letters every little while he sends her letters every little while he sends her letters every little while he sends her letters every little while At the time there were paper letters not like these days so what does she do? Yes. if she can't read it herslef she asks someone ro read it for her when they read
it, she says no, read that part again And she is delighted with what she hears Even though she had heard it once! But see, the words of the Beloved are different. The words of the Beloved are different There was a time when one of our sheikhs Would send us a message He would send me a message on WhatsApp From one of the great sheikhs He would send it to check on me From the joy, from the satisfaction And from the greatness of my pleasure I would listen to the message Allah! the joy! so I listen
to it again And then when there is a nice part listen to it again! It is like that Sometimes it is not required from you to understand Thto get the benefit, not always It is not required from you to make a great deal of it it to in order to gain benefit To open your book is enough To open your book is enough To open your book is enough With such a psychology Wanting to get influenced Wanting to benefit Imam Mujahed What did he say? He said: I swear No one sits down to read the
Holy Quran No one sits down to read the Holy Quran without a gain or loss No one sits down to read the Holy Quran without being changed changed for the good But how does the loss happen? He said a gain or loss the gain is ok we know how. But how does the loss happen? He said did you not hear the word of Allah Almighty: "and We will send down from the Qur'an what is the cure and mercy of the believers, and there will be no increase in the wrongdoers except loss." "And there will be
no increase in the wrongdoers except loss". The believer, by sitting to read the Qur'an, by sitting in front of the Qur'an, by opening the Book of Allah Almighty, and reading the words of Allah, his faith increases whether he notices or not. whether he notices or not. if he is sitting in front of the Qur'an, willing to benefit, he will gain. Even if he he does not understand anything of what is being said, or if he is not specialized in the language or in the interpretation, he will read the words of Allah Almighty and gain benefit.
He understands the obvious meanings and this increases what is a cure and mercy to the believers. Well, what about the one who reads the Qur'an and does not want to be affected by it, and he recites it like poetry. reads it like poetry as Imam Ali once said: "there is no increase in the wrongdoers except loss." He says, before you is the pure source for guidance, the pure source for guidance, and you will not be able to attain guidance without it The greatest degree of guidance and great righteousness is only gained by following it. I
end this part with words that were raised by some people to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, And some of them mentioned it to be recited by Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, but in any case, the scholars are united on the meanings of these words. Beautiful words about the Qur'an. What is the Qur'an? It is narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The Book of Allah, in which is the news of what was before you, and the tidings of what is after you, and the judgment of
what is between you, is a judge, not normal words. Any tyrant who did not follow it, Allah has decreed it to be so, and whoever sought guidance from another, Allah has misled him. Any tyrant who did not follow it, Allah has decreed it to be so, and whoever sought guidance from another, Allah has misled him. It is the strong rope of Allah, it is the wise reminder, it is the straight path. It is the one whose does miracles are endless, and does not grow old with repetition. It is the one who the jinn when said
they heard it, We have heard a miraculous Qur'an that guides to guidance. Whoever said it was truthful, whoever judged it was just, whoever applied it was rewarded, whoever called people to it has guided them to a straight path. whoever called people to it has guided them to a straight path. whoever called people to it has guided them to a straight path. whoever called people to it has guided them to a straight path. And my point here, from what I was confirming before, "and whoever sought guidance from another, Allah has misled him." This is the path,
we want guidance, this is the way, we want success, and stability, and stability on faith, and increase faith, and purity of heart, and purification of heart, and distance from desires, and healing of the soul from the despair, and desires of the world, and so on. You have to follow the Qur'an. Whoever sought guidance from another, Allah has misled him. What else?, he said, It is the one whose does miracles are endless, and does not grow old with repetition. Do you know that when you wear clothes once, twice, three, four, five, hundred times, and then you
wash it many times, and then you lose it at last? If I read the Qur'an tens, even hundreds of times, every time, you will find new meanings, Every time, you will find a new effect, every time, you will find a new reality in the heart. Every time, you will find a different purification of the heart, and a different purification of the heart. That's why the Prophet said that the state of the believer with the Qur'an is like the state of a traveler. Like the state of a traveler who doesn't settle in a place. He finishes
it and comes back again, finishes and comes back, finishes and comes back. Like the state of a traveler. And whoever seeks guidance in other than him, Allah will make him astray. does not grow old with repetition Whoever said it was truthful, whoever judged it was just, whoever applied it was rewarded, whoever called people to it has guided them to a straight path. May Allah make us from the people of the Qur'an. Allah is the most-merciful. May Allah make us from the people of the Qur'an. Allah is the most-merciful. May Allah bless you. I remembered while
you were talking the book by Sheikh Ibrahim Sakran, "The path to the Qur'an" we all know it, of course. He used to speak about a great phenomenon in it, which is the effect of the Qur'an. He gave an example, for example, if you bring a son who is mistreats his father and you tried to influence him to fix his behavior in all possible ways how the young should respect the old and this is a true story He was talking about a situation that he witnessed personally And then he ended all the attempts and said to
him this verse: "Do not any hurtful word to them(parents), nor speak harshly. Speak to them gently" The case ended right there. He says that he saw this situation himself And it was a sudden & complete change by the words of Qur'an. I will enter from this part, of course the subject is very broad I want to understand the effect of the Qur'an, how does the Qur'an change our hearts? This is indeed a broad subject, but I want to tell you How does the Qur'an change our hearts? To what extent does the Qur'an introduce change in
our hearts? No, its effect has no end or limit The Qur'an will guide you until it makes your heart an angelic heart that can not sin It does not enjoy a sin It is not able to disobey Allah Some of the predecessors were described as people who are not able to disobey Allah They do not know how to disobey Allah The guidance of the Qur'an is sufficient to make your heart an angelic heart that has no desire in it It has no weakness in it It has no tightness in it It has no attachment to
life in it It has no attachment to sins, sins, or desires in it This is what the Qur'an does to these hearts The Qur'an, when it was heard by the non believers at the prophet's time, it was still special. Even that many of the Companions accepted Islam and converted because of A verse. A verse. They used to hear someone reciting as they walked by Sometimes they didn't mean to listen Like Jubair Ibn Mu'tahim when he was taken as prisoner after the battle of Badr And he heard the Prophet reciting in the Maghrib prayer "Or were
they created from nothing? Or were they the creators?" He said he was astonished. Oh Lord The verse He says, what is it? these are not my words He is the one who said this He said "I heard it My heart was about to take flight. And it was the first thing that touched my heart from Islam." I tell you, he was a non believer for a long time Yes, he is a non believer No, he was not only a non believer He was fighting the Prophet and his companions In the battle of Badr He was
coming fresh from a battle Yes, he was He was coming from the battle of Badr And he heard the Prophet reciting How can a person's heart be transformed! From fighting the Prophet, imagine! If he had caught the Messenger of Allah during battle He would not have let him go But when he heard a verse from the Prophet His life transformed completely. This is the effect of the Qur'an This is the influence of the Qur'an This is the guidance of the Qur'an. Another example: Al-Waleed ibn Al-Mughira And he is one of the strongest non believers He
came to listen to the words of the Prophet So he returned to them And did not agree to what they were saying. He said you are trying to say it is a poem He did not accept it He did not accept it So he returned to them and told them By Allah None of you, O Quraysh society, knows better than me Arabic poetry Nor Arabic words Nor poetry Nor poems Nor their poems Listen carefully, to finish this "You say it is a poem No one knows better than me about poetry By Allah What is a
poem. By Allah This speech will have a great reach." So Abu Sufyan said to him "What are you saying, By Allah People will not leave you Until you say your word about this Quran. You have to." He said "Let me think" We want to see something new He said Let me think So he came to them on the second day And he said to them By Allah It is withcraft It is sorcery It is sorcery Don't you see how it breaks families apart? Don't you see how it breaks families apart? Don't you see how it
breaks families apart? 1070 00:39:00,440 --> 00:39:01,799 So these verses were revealed about him: "saying, This Quran is nothing but magic from the ancients." "saying, This Quran is nothing but magic from the ancients." "This is no more than the word of a man." "This is no more than the word of a man." "Soon I will burn him in Hell" "And what will make you realize what Hell is?" "It does not let anyone live or die" So So he was one of the non believers. Also, a similar situation or close to it Utbah bin Rabiah came Abu
Al Walid to the prohet (pbuh) trying to sway him He told him that if you want status, we will give it to you. And if you want women, we will marry you. And if you want money, ask and you shall be given. What do you want? So the prophet said said to him, "are you done Abu Al Waleed?" He said, yes. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, I bear a "revelation from the Entirely Merciful, A Book in which the verses of the
Qur'an are explained to the people who know. It is a good news and a warning. And most of them turned away, because they could not hear. And they said, our hearts are closed to what you invite us to. And in our ears there is no sound. And between us and you is a veil. So do what you want, we will too." Until he said, "say, do you disbelieve in the One who created the earth in two days?" And how can you set up equals with Him? That is the Lord of all worlds. He placed on
the earth firm mountains, standing high showered His blessings upon it, and ordained all its means of sustenance: totaling four Days exactly1, for all who ask. Showered His blessings upon it, and ordained all its means of sustenance: totaling four Days exactly1, for all who ask. showered His blessings upon it, and ordained all its means of sustenance: totaling four Days exactly1, for all who ask. showered His blessings upon it, and ordained all its means of sustenance: totaling four Days exactly1, for all who ask. Then He turned towards the heaven when it was still like smoke And He
said to it, and to the earth, Submit, willingly or unwillingly They both responded: We submit willingly. So He formed the heaven into seven heavens in two Days assigning to each its mandate And We adorned the lowest heaven with stars like lamps for beauty and for protection. That is the design of the Almighty, All-Knowing. If they turn away, then say, O Prophet, I warn you of a mighty blast, like the one that befell ’Ȃd and Thamûd." And Abu Al-Waleed said, O Muhammad, I ask you by Allah and the family ties between us! I ask you by
Allah and the family ties between us! I ask you by Allah and the family ties between us! Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was silent. And he returned to Quraysh. Abu Al-Waleed invited Ibn Rabi'a. Ibn Rabi'a said, O Quraysh, by Allah, you will never prevail upon what what you have heard. Some of them said, By Allah, Abu Al-Waleed has converted!. He came back a different man! He changed. He said, "By Allah, indeed, for his saying is sweet. And indeed, upon him is a purification. And indeed, it is a blessing all
over. And indeed, it is a blessing all over. And indeed, it will prevail and non shall prevail upon it. And there will come a great prophecy out of his words. And there will come a great prophecy out of his words. That is the doing of the Qur'an." And Usayd ibn Hudayr, he was one of the great companions. He was the leader of his people, he was the leader of the Aws. He and Sa'd ibn Mu'adh were leaders of the Ansar. So, Musa'ab ibn Umair and As'ad ibn Zurarah came in order to call the Ansar to
Islam, And the Prophet, peace be upon him, is still in Makkah. So, they were speaking to the Ansar, And then Usayd ibn Hudayr came and, he said to them, because he saw that his people were amazed by these mens' words A lot of people responded to his call already so he said: "what brought you to our neighborhood? And what are you talking to our meek ones? If you care about your lives, then leave this neighborhood now." So Mus'ab said to him, "O master of his people, do I not guide you to what is better for
me and you? He said, and what is it? He said, hear from us. If you like what we say, that is good, otherwise we will leave and never return to your land." He said: "by Allah, this is fair.". See, these Arabs were really just. "By Allah, that is fair.". Then he took his sword and dug it in the ground. Then he sat listening to Mus'ab and As'ad Ibn Zurara. When Mus'ab Ibn Umair started reciting a verse from the Qur'an to him, when Sayyid Ibn Hudair heard the verses recited to him, his face changed. He said
to them, so what will you do if a man of you wants to convert to Islam? They said to him, you will purify yourself, take a bath, and testify that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Then he took a bath, purified himself, and witnessed the two testimonies, and converted to Islam. He became one of the great companions. He became one of the great companions. He became one of the great companions. At the beginning of the recitation, As'ad Ibn Zurara said to Mus'ab Ibn Umair: "O Mus'ab. By Allah,
if Allah had decreed his (Usayd ibn Hudayr) Islam, a lot of people will follow him." when Sayyid Ibn Hudair converted to Islam, and then Sa'ad Ibn Mu'adh converted to Islam, the Ansar followed and converted to Islam, the Ansar had converted to Islam. And they became the Ansar, who took in the Prophet and the emigrants from Makkah. Allah made him believe because of the Qur'an, and then it was a sign of faith to love the Ansar. So that is what the Qur'an does to human hearts. the Qur'an's effect on hearts is incomparable tp anything. the effect
is incomparable to anything else. and not just the non believers The Quarn had an effect on Jinn. When the prophet (pbuh) recited Surah Ar-Rahman to the jinn, and then he recited it to the companions, he did not like the companions' interaction with Surah Ar-Rahman, and he said to them, Your brothers from the jinn received it better than you. Everytime they heard "which favours of your Lord do you deny?", they said, "There is nothing of your favours, O Allah, that we deny." So, when the jinn heard "which favours of your Lord do you deny?", they said,
"There is nothing of your favours, O Allah, that we deny." We do not deny anything of your favours, we do not deny anything of your favours, we do not deny anything of your favours. This is the jinn. Allah Almighty told us about a group of jinn who came once to The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, And when they heard some of the Qur'an from him, they did only submit, and did not only seek guidance, but they turned into
their people, and they called the rest to guidance, and they were guides, and they warned their people. Allah Almighty said, "And when We sent to you a group from the jinn, listening to the Qur'an, when they heard it, they said," They said what? They said "listen carefully" So when it was done, A single Qur'anic Session They changed compeletely they transformed. "When they heard the Quran, they said, listen." "and when it was finished, they turned to their people warning them." "They said, O our people, we have heard a Book revealed after Moses" "confirming what he preached,
and guides people to the truth" "and to a straight path" "O our people, answer the call of Allah" "and believe in it" "He will forgive you of your sins and save you from a painful punishment" So, the jinn were transformed from people who have no message and no cause, and do not care about the issue of warning And encouraging people to respond to the call of Allah a complete transformation they came warning their people "They said, O our people, answer the call of Allah" "We have heard a Book revealed after Moses guiding people to the
truth and to a straight path" So, if this was the effect of the Qur'an on the non believers who had not a speck of faith in their hearts yet they were amazed by it yet they were effected greatly by it And sometimes they made groups to listen to Quran. like Akhnas ibn Shariq And Abu Jahl And Abu Sufian Ibn Harb these three were the leaders of the non believers the Qur'an When the verses were revealed to the prophet (pbuh) When the verses were revealed to the prophet (pbuh) they used to sneak at night to listen
to him pray and recite the Qur'an When one of them meets the other, he says to him, "Are you not afraid that one of your people will believe in Muhammad if they saw you doing this?" Aren't you afraid? This was their situation. They were affected by the Qur'an in an amazing way. And this was also the case of the jinn, they were affected by the Qur'an and turned it into callers to faith, to guides, to warners. So what do you think would be the effect of the Qur'an on the righteous, if this how the nonbelievers
took it? on the believers, on the people who want guidance and to be good? What do these verses do? And how does this speech effect these hearts? May Allah make us among the people of His Book and among the righteous. Allahumma ameen. If this is the effect of the Qur'an on the polytheists, and they are, Of course, a polytheist, they don't have the intention to follow the Qur'an, or they don't have the intention or the motivation to be affected by the Qur'an. So, how is the effect supposed to be on the believers? If we go
back, for example, to Quran's effect on the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him the revelation, what was the effect on the Companions, when they hear from the Prophet, when they open the Qur'an, and they read it, and they live with it, and they see the reason for the revelation of the Qur'an before their eyes. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was a great example in terms of the effect of the Qur'an, and the influence of the Qur'an, and the attachment to the Qur'an. He was the most knowledgable of all
people in the value of the Qur'an, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say that "Hud and its sisters gave me gray hair" This is how he expressed the great effect of awe and fear the Qur'an left in his heart, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, like When the Qur'an describes the hereafter, Hell fire, the horrors of the judgement day, and so on, So some surahs like Hud and similar surahs gave him gray hairs. The Prophet, peace and blessings
be upon him, when he used to hear the Qur'an, he had a strong physical reaction. Where is the proof of this? The proof of this is in the hadith of Ibn Abbas in Sahih al-Bukhari, when Gabriel revealed the Qur'an to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, every Ramadan, The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said Ibn Abbas, "The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when Gabriel revealed the Qur'an to him, brought bounty more than wind sent from God." When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard the Qur'an
from Gabriel, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, started to work more and spend more, better than the good sent wind does to land. Why? Because of the Qur'an. In some narrations of this hadith, because Gabriel revealed the Qur'an to him, Because Gabriel studied it with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, He became active in the righteous work. His spending increased, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said Ibn Abbas. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not just read, but loved to read
and love to hear. He used to go to Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, and say: "O Ibn Mas'ud, read the Qur'an to me." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why shall I will read it to you and it was revealed to you in the first place?" You are the Messenger of Allah who teaches us the Qur'an. You are the one who tells us what has been sent by the revelation. He said, read it, for I love to hear it from others. I love to hear it from others. Ibn Mas'ud, peace and blessings
be upon him, read the Qur'an for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the Surah An-Nisa. He read and read until he reached the word of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him. "So how will it be when We bring a witness from every faith-community and bring you O Prophet as a witness against yours?" "and bring you O Prophet as a witness against yours?" the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Ibn Mas'ud, Stop here. Ibn Mas'ud looked at the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, I looked at
him, and his eyes were red from crying. In some narrations, he was crying heavily. In some narrations, he was crying heavily. This was the case of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the Qur'an. If he reads the Qur'an as we mentioned in the last time when we were talking about the prayer, And how his prayer was like. He took a long time reciting each verse. In every verse with a question, he asks. In every verse with a supplication, he supplicated. In every verse with a mention of punishment, he prayed to be spared.
Interaction with the verses. Interaction with the verses. Interaction with the Quran. The feeling that this Quran was sent to me. Directed to my heart, Allah Almighty sends messages to me. Yes. O" people, a message has come to you from your Lord." O people, this message is a message from Allah to me and to you. A message from your Lord. And a cure for what is in the hearts. And guidance and mercy for the believers. This was the perception of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, of the words of Allah, the Exalted. When he
reads the Qur'an he increased in activity, he was once passing by the streets of the Madinah, and he heared a recitation in the night prayer, they recited: "Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you?" ?" "Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you?" The Prophet, peace be upon him, cried and saied, indeed it reached me. "Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you?" it reached me. And the reciter repeated it. The Prophet, peace be upon him, cried and said, it reached me. It reached me. This was the condition of the Prophet, peace
be upon him, crying, interacting, being submissive. interacting with the Qur'an. interacting with the Qur'an. and gaining benefit from the the Qur'an after it, in increasing the good deeds, and closeness to Allah Almighty. And like that was the way the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, interacted with the Qur'an, an amazing interaction, an amazing interaction. Think of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, when he reads the Qur'an, people liked to watch him. Abu Bakr was a man of humility, when he read the Qur'an, he couldn't control his tears. And Utman. When Nailah was asked about
Uthman and his attachement to the Qur'an, she said: it was incredible. He did ablutions before every prayer, and recited Quran between prayers. He did ablutions before every prayer Yes. And when he was done with his prayer, he would go back to the Mus'haf and hold it. This was Uthman bin Affan, may Allah be pleased with him. He said once: "By Allah, if your hearts were purified, they would never get enough of your Lord's words." "By Allah, if your hearts were purified, they would never get enough of your Lord's words." This was their attachment to the
Qur'an. Another companion, Abu Al Dahdah when heard: "who is it that lends Allah a good loan?" He would say, "O Messenger of Allah, would my Lord ask me to give away money when all the kingdom is his?" Our Lord wants me to give away my money when all kingdom is his? I would give him a loan that he would repay in multiples in this world and in the Hereafter? The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, Yes. So he gave away his entire garden. he gave away his garden that was full of
palm trees and full of good things for the sake Allah, may Allah be pleased with him. This is my loan to my Lord, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace. The Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, said: Allah returned it to him in Jannah. Instead of his garden in life, and he took out his whole garden not just a part, He was rewarded a garden in Jannah. Also Abu Bakr, when the crisis of the Ifk happened, and what was said about the mother of the pure believers, the
mother of the believers Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, he stopped the moeny he used to give toMushtah ibn Uthatha This is the least thing he can do because Mushtah is a coward who lied and falsely accused his daughter. Imagine if someone lied about our families and falsely accused them? This is unbearable. Despite this, Abu Bakr did not do anything except to stop the money he used to give him. Allah, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, sent down the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, saying,
"Do not let the people of virtue and affluence among you swear to suspend donations to their relatives, the needy, and the emigrants in the cause of Allah." "Let them pardon and forgive." "Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Abu Bakr fell on his knees and said, Yes, O Lord, yes, O Lord, yes, O Lord, yes, I love that you forgive me, O Lord. Then he continued to give money to Mushtah even after he said what he said. But this is the quick response to the commands of the
Lord of the worlds. Our master Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, also became a Muslim because of a verse, because of verses, as Ibn Hisham mentioned in the biography, that Umar ibn Al-Khattab used to say about himself, I became Muslim because of verses I heard from the Book of Allah and were the first verses that touched my heart. Verses from the Book of Allah, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, Umar ibn Al-Khattab's company were always from the people of Quran. always, when
he was a caliph. Only the people of the Qur'an were always in his presence, as we understand from the Hadith of Zahir al-Bukhari and from the Hadith of Ibn Abbas. He used to say that Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace, used to sit with the Quran reciters. And there was one reciters of the Qur'an who wanted to join the meeting of reciters in the presence of Umar ibn Al-Khattab, wanted to attend the meeting of the caliph, so this reciter asked permission, and he asked Uyaynat ibn Husn and Al-Hurr
ibn Qais. Al-Hurr ibn Qais was the one who was sitting with Umar. and Uyaynat ibn Husn came to him as guest. Al-Hurr ibn Qais asked permission for Uyaynat ibn Husn to join, so Umar let him in. Uyaynat ibn Husn was a man of little intellect, so when he first entered in Umar's presence, he said "O Umar, fear Allah, for you do not judge justice and do not give us reward." He was in front of just any caliph. he was in front of him, Sayyidina Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him! Umar started to
reply, then Al-Hurr ibn Qais said to him, "O Prince of the Believers," Allah says: "Be gracious, enjoin what is right, and turn away from those who act ignorantly.". he is ignorant! Allah says: "Be gracious, enjoin what is right, and turn away from those who act ignorantly.". he is ignorant! Ibn Abbas says here, "then Umar was not engulfed with rage when he read it" Umar used to strictly follow Allah's words. he did not do anything. 1383 00:58:00,600 --> 00:58:01,600 1384 00:58:01,600 --> 00:58:02,600 Once it was recited, he obeyed. Once it was recited, he obeyed. This is
the end of the matter. Even after that man said what he said. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is Omar. Even without being a caliph. The man said outrageous things. but Subhanallah. This is what our master Omar said, may Allah be pleased with him and may Allah be pleased with him. May Allah unite us with Abu Bakr, Omar and Uthman Ali and our master Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. So you see, Umar wanted to kill the Prophet before he became muslim, he even used to mocked
the Muslims. He did bad things to muslims before he became Muslim. Now he hears a word, and obeys. This is what the Qur'an does to its people. This is what the Qur'an does to the polytheists, the jinn, the righteous, the devout believers. Those who wanted guidance from it and they wanted it to be good and gain benefit. So they gained it up and became righteous. It is enough that this Qur'an, this speech, is the reason the Prophet, peace be upon him, endured all he endured. "The disbelievers say, If only the Quran had been sent down
to him all at once!" "We have sent it as such in stages so We may reassure your heart with it" "And We have revealed it at a deliberate pace." So, the reason for the revelation of the Qur'an separately is the strengthen the Prophet's heart, peace be upon him. This is the Prophet, peace be upon him, who Allah made, the Most Gracious, his heart more pure and more rigteous than all. And I mean, if disobedience were removed, if disobedience were removed, and the misguidance of a person disappeared, they would be as the Messenger of Allah, peace
be upon him, was. Because Allah himself purified his heart and opened it to the faith. Despite this, Allah, the Exalted, strengthens his heart with the Qur'an. It is the Qur'an that is revealed one by one, and it strengthens the heart of the Prophet. The verse is revealed, and the Prophet lives with it for a long time, peace be upon him, and it strengthens his heart. Then another verse is revealed, and the Prophet lives with it for a long time, and it strengthens his heart. Then another verse is revealed, and the Prophet lives with it for
a long time, and it strengthens his heart. Then another verse is revealed, and the Prophet lives with it for a long time, and it strengthens his heart. And so on. Then the companions, after him, every verse changed them. when this verse was revealed to them, "Has the time not yet come for believers’ hearts to be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and what has been revealed of the truth, and not be like those given the Scripture before—˹those˺ who were spoiled for so long that their hearts became hardened. And many of them are still rebellious." "and
not be like those given the Scripture before—˹those˺ who were spoiled for so long that their hearts became hardened. And many of them are still rebellious." "And many of them are still rebellious."" So the companions were terribly affected by this verse. So the companions were terribly affected by this verse. they used to faint all over Madinah when they hear it! Then the Lord of the worlds was reproaching them! he said to them: "Has the time not yet come for believers’ hearts to be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and what has been revealed of the truth."
And after that Allah gave them the good news: This hard heart, The one that is not affected by anything, not touched by anything, Allah will revive it with his words. with these verses. "Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. We have certainly made the signs clear for you so perhaps you will understand." "Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. We have certainly made the signs clear for you so perhaps you will understand." "Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. We have certainly made the signs clear for you so perhaps
you will understand." "Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. We have certainly made the signs clear for you so perhaps you will understand." The effect of Quran on them was heavy. And by the way This verse was the reason that one of the worst disbelievers changed his mind and came to believe. Who is that? al-Fudayl ibn Iyad. May he rest in peace. He was a theif. And one night, he was sneaking to steal a house at night, and he heard this verse. Glory be to Allah. This is the Qur'an. So he heard This
verse. "Has the time not yet come for believers’ hearts to be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and what has been revealed of the truth." So he heard it and said, yes, O Lord, it has come. Then he stopped what he was doing then and never stole again. Then he returned. After that, he was called the worshiper of the two harams. The worshiper of the two harams! Abdullah ibn Mubarak used to send to him this line of poetry when was in jihad, At that time al-Fudayl ibn Ayyad was traveling between the two harams. I mean,
he was traveling between the harams of Mecca and Madan. So Abdullah ibn Mubarak sent him "O worshiper of the two harams, if you had stayed in touch, you would have known that your worship was like playing." They are in jihad and so on. So the point here is that al-Fudayl ibn Ayyad, who was a theif, Now he is one of the greatest worshipers. This is what the Qur'an does with the hearts. This is how the Qur'an changes the souls. This is the real miracle of the Qur'an. Okay, that means The Prophet, may Allah bless him
and his companions, and we even saw some reactions of some polytheists with the Qur'an. We are now, I mean, we are a little away from the Qur'an linguistically, and we are a little away from it, I mean, maybe, I mean, the interaction that we have with the Qur'an has never been the size of the interaction that we have heard now. What should we do to reach this level? Look, Eng.Hilal, what prevents us from this, What prevents us from this are erroneous concepts, not more. I mean, we have an inherited image of the Qur'an. An inherited
image of how the Qur'an is a book kept in the house. It looks very beautiful. We can decorate the salon with it, It is a blessing and adornment for anywhere, but there is such an inherited image that we only read it in Ramadan. we only care about it in Ramadan. So, this inherited image has made us a little away from the real influence of the Qur'an. Then, the point is that no one in us looks at the Qur'an from this point of view. From the point of view that the Qur'an is the guide, the healer,
the illuminator, the sender of faith in the heart, the caller of faith. The Qur'an is the cure for the desires of the souls and the heart. The Qur'an is the cause of all the light in the heart, and the cure for the heart, and the mercy that descends into the heart. It is the control that man uses to prevent himsef from sin. This is the Qur'an. We do not deal with the Qur'an as a source of guidance, and a source of light, and a source of treatment for the ailments of the souls, the ailments of
the hearts, and the desires of the hearts. When you look at the Qur'an in this light, The way you deal with it changes. For example, if a new neighbor moved in and you did not know them so you only exchange pleasantaries, Salam, Salam. Salam, Salam. Suddenly, you know that he is a very, very, very, very important person. And he has great power and influence. And he can help you with anything. So, you say, no. So, your way of dealing with it will not be the same after that. This is the same thing. We had something
next to us, but we did not realize its value. The value of the Qur'an. Suddenly, we realized the value that we have a book in our hands. It is the reason for our guidance. It is the reason for our guidance. "There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book." "Allah guides those who follow His light to the path of peace." "And He brings them out of the darkness to the light, by His permission." "And He guides them", notice the mention of guidance again, "to the straight path." The Qur'an is a cure
for what is in my chest. "There has come to you a warning from your Lord and a cure for what is in your chest." "O people, there has come to you a proof from your Lord." "And We have sent down to you a clear light." "As for those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him," "We will enter them in mercy from Him and grace." "And He will guide them to the straight path." These verses of the Qur'an about the Qur'an explain this to you. The Qur'an is the trade that does not fail. It
is the work that has no loss. It has no deficiency. It always takes you to the increase. It always takes you to great heights. "Those who recite the Book of Allah, and perform the prayer," "and spend from what We have provided for them in secret and publicly," "they hope for a trade that will not fail," "to give them their rewards and increase their bounty." So, this is the Qur'an. This is the Qur'an. When you deal with the Qur'an in this way, that the Qur'an is the guide for my heart, The healer for my soul, the
guide for my senses, the purifier for my mind, and the protector of my personality, a guidance in all aspects, you deal with the Qur'an in a new way. You think about the Qur'an in a different way. You renew your understanding with the Qur'an. When you open the Qur'an, it will not be the same as it was before. When I open the Qur'an, it will not be the same as it was before. This is one of the obstacles that we face with the Qur'an. The image that is inherited from the Qur'an, and the familiarity of the
Qur'an. The Qur'an is a book of good deeds. Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, gains a good deed, and the good deeds are multiplied by ten. I do not say alif, laam, or mim, as one letter. but I say alif, laam, or mim, individually. and I mean the greatest book in the world, it wins you good deeds. One letter wins you ten good deeds. But this is not the greatest intention from the Qur'an. Rather, the greatest intention from the Qur'an is the guidance that is revealed from it. The mercies that my heart
gains. But under one condition. You recite the Qur'an, wanting guidance from it. You recite the Qur'an, and you want Allah to guide you with this Qur'an. He wants to purify your heart with this Qur'an. And if you do not understand, it is not important. And if your recitation of the Qur'an is weak, you don't know how much you can read, it doesn't matter, read it. And that's what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told his Companions. You know how to read? Read it. You don't know how to read? Read it still. The one
who reads the Qur'an, and he is skilled in it, he is considered of the noble and righteous, and the one who reads it and suffers a difficulty, he has two rewards. He has two rewards. The Qur'an isn't made for professional reciters only, or those who have good voices only, or scientists. The Qur'an is for everyone. Everyone opens it. They can all be guided by it, You purify your heart and sould with it, It helps you stay away from sins and our lusts, This is the Qur'an. So the inherited image and the familiarity of the Qur'an.
And being too busy with other things that are considered releigious deeds, Some think that it releigious deeds. Sometimes we are too busy studying to take any benefit from the Quran. Sometimes we are busy with scientific circles and the scientific platforms. And there is no doubt, these studies have the great benefit, a great effect, but the Qur'an is the Qur'an, the source of the greatest guidance. And you will not be able to find justice for your heart greater than what you find in the Qur'an. Sometimes someone says, I want to mend my heart. What do we
do? We bring books on how to mend hearts. And we learn about what corrupts hearts and the defects of hearts and the deeds of hearts. And this is very excellent. But the Qur'an is the Qur'an. The Qur'an is easier than all of that and greater in effect than all of that. Look, I do not belittle all that, by Allah. Those books were written by great scholars. The Imams of Muslims, and there is no doubt that it has benefit and effect. But the great guidance is from the Book of Allah, in accordance with the Book of
Allah and in accordance with the companionship of the Book of Allah. And the more the person has the Qur'an, the more guidance has increased in his heart. And faith was greater in his heart. Faith was greater in his heart. So, this is the issue. Do not be too busy with anything to the extent that you have no time for the Qur'an at all. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the beginnings of Islam, prevented his companions from writing the Sunnah so that they would not worry about anything other than the Qur'an. The Prophet,
peace and blessings be upon him, said, Do not write about from my teachings anything other than the Qur'an. And whoever writes from my teachings anything other than the Qur'an, let him erase it. No one writes other than the Qur'an. They said: We wrote it, O Messenger of Allah. And he said: erase it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was doing something similar to the purification of the spring. They do not take from a spring other than the Qur'an. They do not drink from a a pure source, other than the Qur'an. So, their dealing
with the Qur'an afterwards was incredible. And their glorification of the Qur'an was incomparable. So, this is the issue. We do not want to be too busy and forget the Qur'an. How is your daily recitation? How do you read the Qur'an? Allah willing, we will talk about the way of reading the Qur'an now. But I want to talk about what prevented us from contemplating the Qur'an. Sometimes, we are prevented. I said, maybe the inherited image, maybe the familiarity. No, we need understand the Qur'an again as if its the first time we read it. Understand the Qur'an
in a new way. And realize the value of this Qur'an that is in front of you. The value of this miraculous book. The guiding, the changing, the illuminating book that is in front of you. Sometimes, the conflict between us and the glorification of the Qur'an is a psychological conflict. And this serves was what said at the beginning. That is, I am afraid of the Qur'an. I feel unworthy. I feel that the Qur'an has its people and its people. No, the benefit of the Qur'an is not for a specific people. All the people are reaping benefit
from the Qur'an. And all the people are guided by the Qur'an. But the words in the Qur'an and the inference of the rulings from it. And the refelection of its words on reality and so on. This has its people, yes. But reaping benefit from it And guidance from it This is for all the people. And sometimes a normal person may take more benefit than a scholar. why? Because he is truthful in the pursuit of the guidance of the Qur'an. Because he wants to receive the mercy of the Qur'an and its light with sincerity. When he
readsthe Qur'an, he finds it pleasant and sweet. And he finds that the Qur'an has affected his heart and distanced him from what was in it and so on. As for the scholar, he deals with the Qur'an that it is a speech with meanings to be studied and analyzed. He does not deal with as worship. He analyzes the meanings, And he does not put his heart in it, Does not experience the beauty of it while studying. You know Ibn Mas'ud, of course. And this is Ibn Mas'ud who used to say, "By Allah, all verses that were
revelaed to the prophet, I know when each verse was revealed, where it was revealed and why." And if I knew someone who knew from me the Book of Allah, the camels would be struck against him, and I would strike them against him. "And if I knew someone who knew the Qur'an more than I do, I would travel to them," And when he read the Qur'an, the Surahs starting with ha, mim. The family of Ha, mim. From the beginning of the Surah Fussilat to the rest, He said, When I entered the family of Ha, mim, I
felt as if I were in a state of ecstasy. Yes, I love this Surah very much. He opened it and read it. How beautiful. I felt happy. As if I were in a state of ecstasy. As if I were in a beautiful land. as if he walks in a garden, takes flowers from here and takes flowers from there. "I felt happy as if I were in a state of ecstasy." This is Ibn Mas'ud. And he did not want to be held away Qur'an by anything. People said to him, Why do you not do more fasting
and so on? He used to say, Fasting holds me away from reciting the Qur'an. This is the importance of the Qur'an. And who is that? This is Ibn Mas'ud, the scholar. Who was given all this knowledge in the Qur'an. He said, No, this is the Qur'an. I have read it. This is something else. Let us turn our hearts to the Qur'an. Let's read the Qur'an without hindrances and without fear. Let's learn the words of Allah anew. Here, praise be to Allah, it is also beautiful. I mean, he made an effort to stop fasting. Or to
stop fasting. Fasting. So that it helps him more to reflect on the Qur'an. To increase from the Qur'an. In fact, it is not possible for them to speand a day without reading the Qur'an. This was a big problem to them if someone does not read Quran everyday. I mean, they had those who used to complete the Quran every three days. and those who used to complete the Quran every seven days and those who used to complete the Quran every seven days And there were thise who completed it once every month. And there were those on
completed it every ten days in average. But no one exceeded that. Most of the Companions used to finish it in a week. Al-Qurtubi said, That who finished the Qur'an in forty days is considered an stranger to the Qur'an. someone who ignores it." Forty days. Forty days. Forty days. That is to say. He reads less than one part of the Qur'an every day. He reads half or three quarters of a part everyday. So that he can finish the Qur'an in forty days. So that he does not become a straner to the Qur'an. this was a big
problem. A problem. That there would be a day in which they didn't read anything from the Qur'an. It was a crisis. If it were acceptable to be inconsistent in reading Quran, The prophet would have confirmed by his own action. The Prophet would never slacked on his daily recital of the Qur'an. He used to have a session every night where he taught his Companions the foundations of the religion, but one night, he was late. This was not his habit, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he was always punctual. Why was he delayed? So when
he arrived, they said, O Messenger of Allah, you are late! The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, Indeed, I was busy earlier and did not ready my daily section of the Quran, and I hated to leave until it was completed. "I was busy earlier and did not ready my daily section of the Quran, and I hated to leave until it was completed." And this is the Messenger of Allah! may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I mean, anyone these nowadays wouldn't say anything in that situation, like, is no
problem, and so on. But he was committed to his daily recitation and they were committed to their lesson. Yes It's all about the Qur'an, they took it seriously. That's why I'm telling you, If it were acceptable to be inconsistent in reading Quran, The prophet would have confirmed by his own action,. And that's why the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said toto them, "I was busy earlier and did not ready my daily section of the Quran, and I hated to leave until it was completed." If he delayed his recitation, it would be
a crisis. A red light flares in their minds. It means: this is the time of the Qur'an. That's it, Quran was that important. "I was busy earlier and did not ready my daily section of the Quran, and I hated to leave until it was completed." So none of the predecessors followed his lead, they were committed to their daily recitation. In fact, sometimes they would come to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so that they would ask permission from him, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to read the entire Qur'an
in one night. O Messenger of Allah, we wish to read it in one night. What should we do? They caould not get enough. Yes, so the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would not let them. Why? Because he was afraid that they would not understand it. The Qur'an would be read like normal words. They would read to finsih, and that's it. No, no. The Qur'an is to be recited. This is a proof that they are very eager to recite the Qur'an, out of love for it. So, Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased
with him, despite what had in the knowledge of the verses, read the Qur'an with his heart. No, now, put that knowledge aside, save all the knowledge that you have learned, and save everything that you know, and read the Qur'an with your heart. When I entered the family of Ha, mim, I felt as if I were in a state of ecstasy. He was happy, and fulfilled. And there is no doubt that when a person's knowledge increases in the Qur'an and he knows the meaning of the verses of the Qur'an, and he knows the causes of its
revelation, and he knows what the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said about these verses, And what the people of knowledge said, his interaction with the Qur'an increases. But this is never negating, never negating, that the least understanding of the Qur'an is still good and beneficial. I am just telling you that Quran recitation is beneficila even when the reciter does not understand it. It's good and useful. People asked Imam Ahmad once: "How we can get affected by Quran?" "is it by understanding or not understanding?" he said "both." by understanding or not understanding.
they said but "can we get affected by it, without understanding?" he said again: "yes. by understanding and not understanding". "yes. by understanding and not understanding". So in the matter of the Quran, we need to renew our appreciation of its value. The value of this Qur'an, we need to remove this inherited image of the Qur'an, we need to know that the Qur'an is the source of guidance, and light, and mercy, and blessings, and forgiveness, and proof, and guidance, and healing, and that's it, this is the Qur'an, and you deal with it without psychological obstacles, you deal
with the Qur'an, you deal with it as one who wants healing, and blessings, and these things that I said. Of course, the is nice, but sometimes people complain about the issue of time, I mean, they say that I'm going to read this morning, or beginning or the end of the day. So when they are late for some days, and they think that have become strangers to the Qur'an, so they decide to increase a little, I mean, what is the average amount to read that can fit everyone's lives? Of course, there is nothing that applies to
everyone, but what is the amount that can make someone feel that they have taken their fill of the Quran for one day? The truth is, your question is answered in one word: that our phones have revealed our truth. And exposed us, unfortunately. We actually have a long time to read the Qur'an and read a lot of it So when we say to someone, "just read x amount everyday", there is time to read more than that. there is time. Why don't we take read enough to Why don't we take read enough to Match our will to
be influenced by the Qur'an? We want to be influenced by the Qur'an. Why do treat the the Qur'an like something you see in passing, then? If even that. I don't want to be burdened people. I don't want to say I want to read as much as the Prophet did and finish it in three days No, but at least we need to adjust our reading to finish it once every 40 days better than that To finish it every month, it would be a part every day. Is it difficult for us to read a part of every
day? I think and Allah knows best that it is not difficult for a many of us. I think more than 90% of us have half an hour in a day. we have many a half hour, not just one. we have lots of available time to read a part. Yes, we have available time. How? Do I have to read this part? Sometimes the devil makes things difficult for us He says, "how will you read a whole part everyday" "You have to contemplate." he will say, "didn't listen to what Dr. Ahmed was saying?" "you have to think
about the Qur'an." "so you have to contemplate" and this is also one of the devil's ways because the devil wants to Stop people from reading the Qur'an Imagine, we have a lot of worship we have a lot of types of worship in the Sharia many types. they can't be counted But Allah never commanded the Prophet and the believers to cast away the devil before any type of worship except the Qur'an. The interpreters said Because the devil knows that guidance is guaranteed while reading the Qur'an. And he does not want that. The devil knows that when
you open the Mus'haf the guidance and the faith will explode in your heart He does not want you to open the Mus'haf He does not want you to rise He wants to come with you while you are reading and remind you of all things you need to do. Even though spent hours on Facebook And on YouTube and on Instagram and on Twitter and so on a lot of time. but when you think of a quarter of an hour or half an hour you dedicate to read the Qur'an and he makes it feel like a mountain.
This is what the devil wants to do he wants us stop reading in any way. So we just need to realize that we have time for the Qur'an. Do we want to be guided by the Qur'an? Do we want to purify our hearts for the Qur'an? Do you want to renew your relationship the Qur'an? Do we want to be from the people of the Qur'an? "there are people very close to Allah" the companions said: who are those, O Messanger of Allah? He said: "the people of the Quran are the closest to Allah." Do we want
to be from the people of Allah? Do you want to open your heart to take in all the guidance all the guidance And Allah's mercy? "Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Or are there locks upon their hearts?" Do you want these locks to open? you need to dedicate time to Quran. Because the Qur'an is precious, "for it is truly a mighty Book. It cannot be proven false from any angle. ˹It is˺ a revelation from the ˹One Who is˺ All-Wise, Praiseworthy." The Qur'an will not give you these guidance and these mercies, unless Allah, the
Exalted, sees the truth in your acceptance of his book, the truth in your will to read it, the sincerity in seeking guidance in it. And it is not difficult at all, but you should sit down and make up your mind and say to Allah, I want to seek guidance in the Qur'an, and open the Mus'haf. But if someone uses this to argue that they don't read because Allah does not see that thet are worthy of the Qur'an, or that He does not give them the right to open the Qur'an? See how many paths the devil
has to the human mind? There are many delusions, if we count them we will never finish. if we count them we will never finish. There are the ones who say I don't read the Qur'an because I have to be psychologically prepared and have a clear mind, so that I can read the Qur'an as best as I can. Or those who say, I don't know how to understand the Qur'an well, I must read a lot of interpretations before I read it to understand it. Delusions, delusions. Therse are not only delusions. No, open the Mus'haf and sit
down. Open the Mus'haf and read. Do your ablutions and bring your Mus'haf, open it and read. And the subject is over. And the subject is over. And by Allah you will find goodness, mercy, and cure to the heart, and a guidance to the soul, and an unimaginable purity of the heart. AndYAnd you can also read an interpretation and contemplate. I wish we would make the Qur'an the first stage. Not contemplation. Because that will make the Qur'an the last stage. So, I have to pass through all the interpretations and analysis of the Quran before I read
it, by the time I get to actually read, I would be overwhelmed. This is the devil's trick to turn us away from the Qur'an. But no, the Qur'an is the beginning, and in the middle, and I carry it with me in every stage of learning. I read my Qur'an, and I don't know anything about the Qur'an. I read my Qur'an, when I am studying the interpretation of the Qur'an. I read my Qur'an, when I become a scholar in it. I read my Qur'an in all situations. Nothing stops me from my daily recitation of Qur'an. Okay,
I will open the Qur'an and read it. I want to be influenced like the Prophet was influenced, and the Companions were influenced, how can I do it? I will tell you what to do, Eng. Hilal, but I ask you now to bring me a Mus'haf. I will bring you a Mus'haf. Bring me a Mus'haf, I don't want this to be general speech. No, bring me a real Mus'haf, not on the phone. Ok, I will bring you a Mus'haf. Yes, a Mus'haf. Wait a minute, guys. A Mus'haf, a big Mus'haf. Allah, the Book of my Lord.
Okay, here is the Mus'haf, and I want to read my daily Qur'an part, and I want to be influenced by the Qur'an. What should I do? I open it now, and I see beautiful verses, and the Qur'an is all beautiful verses, and miraculous, and influential, and beneficial. These verses change me. They guide me. I open it now, and I want to read it, how do I go about that? The first is to wash up and do your ablutions. The first is to wash up and do your ablutions as if for prayer, so that you start
reading already lightened from sins. so that you start reading already lightened from sins. We mentioned the effect of ablutions last time. its light and effect in erasing our sins. "touched by none except the purified" This purity, the outward and the inward, opens doors for you in knowing the meanings of the Qur'an. If you sit in front of the Qur'an, turn off your phone or put it on flight mode. The important thing is that it does not bother you while reading. Because once you start reading, the devil will remind you of all your worries. Here is
my mobile phone. good job! Now, when you start reading, all your worries will come to you. For ten years ago till now. The worries will bother you so much until you can't focus on your reading. So move your phone away. And, it is better to sit someplace away from people. What is better than reading the Book of Allah, Almighty, without any distractions. Now, we are removing distractions. We are moving away from worries. We are moving away from anyone who interrupts my reading. anyone who bothers me. anyone who distracts me. Distraction was the reason guidance did
not reach the hearts of some people who recited the Quran. How? Allah, Almighty, said, "Whatever new reminder comes to them from their Lord, they only listen to it jokingly," "they only listen to it jokingly," "with their hearts ˹totally˺ distracted." Okay? So, this distraction, this busyness, this nonsense, was the reason for preventing guidance from reaching their hearts. "they only listen to it jokingly," "with their hearts ˹totally˺ distracted." It was distraction And it was the reason for preventing guidance from reaching the hearts of these people. So, we need to get rid of worries completely. We should read
away from people if possible. Okay, if I am sitting among people, I am on a bus, I am at uni, I am wherever, I say do not worry. Okay, get rid of your worries. Get rid of your worries. It does not matter. Separate yourself internally. Your heart and the Quran alone. sometimes, it is understood from these words that there must be an ideal atmosphere to read the Quran. No, not at all. I am saying it best if we can be alone in a quiet place but it is not always possible. Okay, what do we do
if it is not possible? There is no problem. There is no problem. When you put the Quran, your Mus'hafah, in front of people, Normally, and you show your act of worship, and you are proud of your Lord's Book, Do not let Satan deceive you that it is for showoff I wish all uni students held their Mus'hafs everywhere. I wish all uni students held their Mus'hafs everywhere. I wish all uni students held their Mus'hafs everywhere. In fact, there was a time when I was memorizing the Quran, while at school, People used to say to me, aren't
you afraid people will accuse you of being a fraud and a showoff? I used to say: yes, I want the people to say that about me, I don't care. I used to say: yes, I want the people to say that about me, I don't care. No problem And my sheikh used to support me in that very much But then some people asked me, where do you memorize? Who helps you memorize? We want to memorize. So it is very important to show the act of worship. Just when people see the Mus'haf in the hand, this is
a call. Yes, just the sight of a person holding the Mus'haf and reading. We are tired of seeing people holding their mobile phones. We want to see the Mus'haf. Especially in the hands of youth You commute to uni and back everyday, why are you empty handed? Why are you empty handed? Where is this? Where is the Mus'haf? You don't want to hold the big Mus'haf Where is your pocket Mus'haf? Where is it? Where is it? How can you go out without it? The Qur'an says The Qur'an comes to a person in his grave To ease
his loneliness and his suffering The Quran says to him, I am your companion, The Qur'an This was his companion they were inseperable. What does it mean? What does it mean that I am your companion? It means I know everything about you I don't leave you We are attached to each other all the time. This is the same thing I am attached to this Qur'an It is my companion I am the companion of this Qur'an. You can't go to uni without it. You can't go anywhere without it. We have to agree that now There is a
case An ideal case For reciting If it is available, it will be excellent If it is not available, you will still recite And you will seek guidance in the Qur'an And the Qur'an will give you the benefit it has. Don't worry, this is all The most important step in reciting the Qur'an is what? is to open the Mus'haf. To open the Mus'haf. That's it. No one sits down to read the Holy Quran without a gain or loss No one sits down to read the Holy Quran without a gain or loss And Allah willing, I sat
reading wanting guidance wanting success wanting righteousness wanting righteousness And the Lord of the worlds By His permission and ease And with His help will help me and open doors for me Okay? Okay, I opened. What do I do now? I read. How do I read? Do I sit and read with contemplation? Or do I read quickly? Do I read quickly? And the guidance will come anyway? So I say Because this is a difficult matter Do I read a full recitation with contemplation? Or do I finish my recitation without stopping at meanings? The thing is: Recitation
is originally contemplation. And contemplation is not separated from recitation As if contemplation is something And recitation is something No, recitation Just recitation In itself Gives you the meaning of the Qur'an And And makes you Stop at the verses of Jannah and Hell And the verses describing the Lord of the worlds And so on So your heart is active This is contemplation. What does contemplation mean? It means to stop Contemplation means to stop Stop As some scholars have explained And this is the original meaning Contemplation originally means stop What does that mean? Contemplation means To look
at the end of something when you contemplate you look at the details of something to the very end. All its details. every last one. So to contemplate something It means look at its details. It means look at its details. Okay? So you stop and study what you contemplate. What does it mean to stop? it means Look & observe. So it is the same here. What does contemplation in Quran mean? I see this verse What does it want from me? I see this verse What does it mean? What? So if the verse was simple I already
contemplated it That's it So if its obvious by simply reading That's it Okay? So in this case what I am doing is it I recite Or I contemplate? The answer is both: when I recite I contemplate. I recite I contemplate Okay? How? How? I will now demonstrate it in a real example. So that you see that the matter is not difficult or miraculous But the matter needs something very great One One factor The only controlling factor to the influence of with the Qur'an on you. And on the guidance you gain from the Qur'an What is
it? Continuity That's it. That's why the daily Qur'an reading is called "wird"" It means what people are getting from it day after day (Wird is a source of water in Arabic) You come today and tomorrow and everyday. This is how you gain benefit. There is no designated period If there is no defined period I never stop. I never stop. I never stop. So this is my daily part. So this is my daily part. So this is my daily part. How do I read it? I read it with total internal peace. I read it with total
internal peace. I read a verse, then another, then another, Okay, there's a verse that touched my heart. Oh, here we stop. Ibn Al-Qayyim said, If he reads the Qur'an, and a verse touches his heart, Then do not leave it. Don't leave it. The opportunity has come. Repeat it, repeat it. Okay, it still affects. Repeat it again. Okay, it still affects. Repeat again. This is it. We reached the goal. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Okay, now, stay with it. Stay with this verse. Okay, it is making you cry. Cry. Cry. Indeed, this Qur'an
has come down with sadness, so read it while you weep. "Is it this speech that amazes you, you laugh and don't weep?" The Qur'an has come down so that you can read it with remorse, sadness, and humility. So, when a verse touches your heart, and touches your emotions, and gives you feelings, then repeat this verse. Repeat it. Repeat it for an hour. It does not matter. Do not leave it. This is a door from the gates of Paradise that has opened for you. This is a door from the gates of mercy that has opened for
you. So, I am reading now. I found a beautiful verse here. "And be patient." "And be patient! Certainly Allah does not discount the reward of the good-doers." So, I will repeat it. And remind myself of patience. Then, there is a verse about the fire In the previous page. For example, Allah said, "Surely in this is a sign for those who fear the torment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which humanity will be gathered and a Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺." "That is a Day for which humanity will be gathered" "and a
Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺." "and a Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺." "We only delay it for a fixed term." Look at the verse that moves the heart. Did you need now, while I am reading this verse any analysis so that your body can feel it? this means this. And this means that. and the specific meaning of this is... Did you need that? Not at all. I tell you. that it is not just some verses, but most of the verses. Most of the verses in the Quran do not need a complete explanation.
They touch the heart. They touch the heart without anything. Okay? How do we read it? We read it like this. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. I seek refuge in Allah in the name of Allah most Gracious, most Merciful and most Merciful. In Your Name is the Glory of Allah, "Establish prayer ˹O Prophet˺ at both ends of the day and in the early part of the night.1 Surely good deeds wipe out evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful." "And be patient! Certainly Allah does not discount the reward of the good-doers."
"If only there had been among the ˹destroyed˺ peoples before you, ˹O believers,˺ virtuous individuals who forbade corruption in the land—other than the few We had saved ˹from the torment˺." "But the wrongdoers ˹only˺ pursued their ˹worldly˺ pleasures, becoming wicked." "And your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ would never destroy a society unjustly while its people were acting rightly." "And your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ would never destroy a society unjustly while its people were acting rightly." "And your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ would never destroy a society unjustly while its people were acting rightly." "Had your Lord so willed, He would have certainly
made humanity one single community ˹of believers˺, but they will always ˹choose to˺ differ—" "except those shown mercy by your Lord—and so He created them ˹to choose freely˺." "And so the Word of your Lord will be fulfilled: “I will surely fill up Hell with jinn and humans all together.” "And so the Word of your Lord will be fulfilled: “I will surely fill up Hell with jinn and humans all together.” "And We relate to you ˹O Prophet˺ the stories of the messengers to reassure your heart." "And there has come to you in this ˹sûrah˺ the truth, a
warning ˹to the disbelievers˺, and a reminder to the believers." "and a reminder to the believers." "Say to those who disbelieve, “Persist in your ways; we will certainly persist in ours." "Say to those who disbelieve, “Persist in your ways; we will certainly persist in ours." "Say to those who disbelieve, “Persist in your ways; we will certainly persist in ours." "And wait! Surely we ˹too˺ are waiting.” "To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the knowledge of what is hidden in the heavens and the earth." "And to Him all matters are returned" "And to Him all matters are returned" "So worship
Him and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is never unaware of what you do." "So worship Him and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is never unaware of what you do." This is a reading, and I read it for two things. First of all, To know that reading the Qur'an, does not need to be difficult at all. And perhaps it does not need to be to the extent of the reading that I read it. And perhaps I read something else with a faster rhythm, a faster pace, so that you know that
it is not difficult. And when there is a verse that affected me, I will take it, and I repeat it, and I repeat it, until I am affected by it, and to benefit from its meanings. The second thing, which prompted me to read in this way, is to know the importance of listening. And that listening is very important. Perhaps, you have finished your daily reciting, but your relationship with the Qur'an did not end with that. "Read on me, O Ibn Mas'ud," "Shall I read to you it was revaled to you?"? "I love to hear it
from others." "I love to hear it from others." Listening. when the believers heard the Qur'an, Allah Almighty said about them amazing things. amazing things. Allah Almighty said about those who were given knowledge, "Indeed, when it is recited to those who were gifted with knowledge1 before it ˹was revealed˺, they fall upon their faces in prostration," when it is recited to them, they bow down to the earth in prostration, "and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.’" "and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord
has been fulfilled.’" "and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.’" "And they fall down upon their faces weeping, and it increases them in humility.” They weep, and it increases their humility. This is the case. The Christians who came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, they wept, until their beards got wet, and Allah Almighty said about them in the Qur'an, "When they listen to what has been revealed to the Messenger" "you see their eyes overflowing with tears for recognizing the truth" filled with tears, from what they knew
of the truth. "They say, Our Lord! We believe, so count us among the witnesses." "They say, Our Lord! We believe, so count us among the witnesses." "They say, Our Lord! We believe, so count us among the witnesses." "Why should we not believe in Allah" "and the truth that has come to us?" "And we long for our Lord to include us in the company of the righteous.” I mean, verses. And these were Christians, verses changed their hearts, and made them say this high speech, "Why should we not believe in Allah" How can we not believe in
Allah? How can we not believe in Allah? and the truth that came to us, "And we long for our Lord to include us in the company of the righteous.” And the Prophets, when Allah Almighty said about them in Surah Maryam, Allah said, "If the verses of the Most Merciful are recited to them," "they will bow down in prostration and weep." The listening, as I told you my own story, how did the listening affect me? How did the Surah affect me? From a reciter, I ask Allah, may He have mercy on him, and reward him better
than me. I ask Allah, may He have mercy on him, and reward him better than me. With a Surah, I was changed. listening is amazing, sometimes, you do not need to read only, or if you are going to read only, This is a very beneficial thing, and very useful. But, why don't you sit for once alone alone by yourself and listen to a long Surah. for two hours for example, and tyou are not doing anything else at the time except that you are listening to the Surah, you do not understand much of it, it does
not matter. And, slowly, and the Qur'an, was made to be read slowly at ease, read it at ease, and 2337 01:43:15,400 --> 01:43:16,400 2338 01:43:16,400 --> 01:43:17,400 and it is important to listen to the old reciters, who read the Qur'an easily, and recite the verses twice, and three times, Not like those who make it difficult, no no No, I want the people, who recite the Qur'an in a way lovable to people, and see how the recitation matters, when you listen to Sheikh, Al-Husaree, O Allah, what is this heaven!? "some people enter the paradise of Quran
before the paradise of Allah." "some people enter the paradise of Quran before the paradise of Allah." so like we said last time, So like we said last time, this is a Paradise, A Jannah of Dunya. He is reading Surah Al-An'aam, O Allah, as if you see angels being sent down with the verses, as if you see the power of Allah in his creation, and the transformation of Allah for the sake of His servants, and the sufferings of the prophets among their people, as if you see them. This is what listening does in the heart. Reading
is the most important, but you should also listen to Quran when you have the chance. Listen to a Surah, listen while commuting, listen while driving, turn on the Qur'an and listen. We need to listen to the Qur'an, and listen to reciters that you are affected by. Not those who make it overly fancy or difficult to follow. But listening is crucial. And reading of course. I want to give you another example of reading. Let's read again from the same Surah. Subhan Allah, I am opened the Surah of Hud. the one the prophet said gave him gray
hairs. We were just talking about that. Subhan Allah, if we read another verse, but in a faster rhythm. How can we say it, for example, if we want to read it and contemplate it at the same time, in a fast rhythm? We can read, I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. "Such is the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord when He seizes the societies entrenched in wrongdoing." "Indeed, His grip is ˹terribly˺ painful and severe." "Surely in this is a sign for those who fear
the torment of the Hereafter." "That is a Day for which humanity will be gathered and a Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺." "a Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺." "We only delay it for a fixed term." "When that Day arrives, no one will dare speak except with His permission." "Some of them will be miserable, others joyful." May Allah make us from those who are happy, O Lord. May Allah make us from those who are happy, O Lord. And among them will be a grievous and a happy one. "As for those bound for misery,
they will be in the Fire, where they will be sighing and gasping," We seek refuge in Allah. We seek refuge in Allah. "staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills.1 Surely your Lord does what He intends." "Surely your Lord does what He intends." We seek refuge in Allah. And as for those who are happy, "And as for those destined to joy, they will be in Paradise, staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills1—a ˹generous˺ giving, without
end." "And as for those destined to joy, they will be in Paradise, staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills1—a ˹generous˺ giving, without end." O Allah, make us from them, O Lord. And so, a person interacts with the verses. He interacts with the verses of torment, so he prays to be spared. He interacts with the verses of mercy. And the verses that touch his heart, he repeats them. And by this, his recitation will be a good recitation. A beneficial recitation. A joyful recitation. A soothing recitation.
A lightening recitation for his heart. A healing recitation for himself. A guide away from desires, and sins in himself and his heart. I hope that by doing this, I have made things easier for people, especially the youth. And that they return again to the Qur'an. And that they relish the Qur'an in a different way. And that they know that this Qur'an has a value. A value that we do not realize. We did not realize it. So, I hope that people will know the power of this Qur'an. And its value in their hands. And that it
is their guide. And their advocate. And their caller to faith. And the one who will send guidance and righteousness to their hearts. We ask Allah to make us from the people of the Qur'an. We ask Allah to make us from the people of the Qur'an. We ask Allah to make us from the people of the Qur'an. And to make us from the righteous. Amen. May Allah bless you, Dr. Ahmed. May Allah protect you. We are also welcoming Ramadan. So, this is a very good reminder. I see that people are very welcoming to the Qur'an. It
is even a nice phenomenon. Everyone is holding the Quran, in public transsport, in mosques, everywhere. Everywhere you find there is a very strong acceptance of the Qur'an at this time. Maybe this episode is a reminder that the situation continues after Ramadan. Not only after Ramadan, but also before Ramadan. Because the episode will be released before Ramadan. The first person who listens to the episode, By the will of Allah. He will make a repentance from the time he left the Qur'an. And renew the covenant with the Qur'an. And that's it. I will not deal with this
Qur'an as I used to deal with it. No, this Qur'an will not leave my pocket. It will not leave my bag. It will not leave me anywhere. It must be with me. From the time he listens to the episode. So, he enters Ramadan And he increases. So, when Ramadan passes. And ends And ends And the situation with the Mus'haf will still be different. And it will be different tasting. And it will be different taste. And it will be different taste. May Allah make us taste the beauty of the Qur'an. And the taste of the nearness
to it. May Allah make us enter the garden of knowledge. And the garden of satisfaction. And make us from the righteous. May Allah make us from the righteous. May Allah grant you the best of all. Dr. Ahmad, we are listening to your beautiful talks always. May Allah be pleased with you. And we will meet in the next third meeting about the Du'aa. Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him. We bear witness that there is no Allah but Him. We ask His forgiveness and repent to Him.
