Today I'm going to show you how I made this PC, but it all starts with a quick intro. So, I was thinking of ideas for a YouTube video until I thought of one. I was going to make a cardboard PC.
This is the inside of a mouse. As you can see, it still clicks and the scroll wheel scrolls. This is what I'm going to be using to make my cardboard mouse.
Okay, so I plugged it into an old Chromebook I had lying around, and the first thing I noticed was that it would only move the cursor when it was a certain amount off the ground. So, I'm going to have to layer up some cardboard on it later to make it move. So, I grabbed some cardboard and began to trace the mouse out.
Okay, it's looking good. Now, I just need to trace out the middle. Okay, nice.
This looks like it fits perfectly. Let's see. Yep, it does.
Now I'm going to have to start layering up some more. Okay, so I layered on a few pieces of cardboard and now it works decently well for a cardboard mouse. And now I just need to start on the buttons.
So I cut out some cardboard pieces and here's what I came out with. Bam. And now that I have these really good looking buttons, let's put them on the mouse.
>> While I was working on it, my dog got some cardboard and she was very happy about it. Okay, so I was working on it a bit off camera and now I have this. It's so clicky and the scroll wheel works.
Okay, so long story short, I finished the mouse design. It looks great and works great. And now I want to move on to the headphones.
Okay, so I had some friends over and they helped me with the headphones. So, we added some caps to the headphones with hot glue. And by hot glue, I mean a lot of hot glue.
And with the bit of hot glue, now we have the start of the cardboard headphones. So, right here we have a cardboard headphone and one of my friends was making the other side of the headphones. So, we got the back of the computer we're going to use open.
And look how complex it looks. It's actually an old laptop that I used to use for school, but it's super slow. some funny stupid clips like my toes.
>> No, no, no, no, no, no. >> I was about to say >> progress update. This is like the case of the PC and this is the case of the screen where the screen's going to fit in.
And with that, we're done. I hope you enjoyed. Please like, subscribe, and share.
