down below as well as save 100 $10 at checkout with discount code The hobbyist Miner all right it's night time but we got lights inside our home shed so this home shed has been through a lot of different Hardware over the years from full size A6 to GPU mining rigs to deepin projects to little home miners here and as you guys can see we have a decent amount of stuff in here uh for sure still got look at this the original a little Dusty little mosqu mosquito Miner that Raven mining calls it the Jazz Miner x41 Q we're still running that of course on octop Space we have an x4q on OCTA space as well the I po remember the I Polo V1 mini it's the um uh water cooled unit that one's on OCTA space as well and then these two I added more recently from my haul out in Denver these are Jazz Miner x16 I have one in the house heating one of the bedrooms they're on octop space as well as you can tell pretty bullish on octop Space been running a lot of these eash miners on OCTA space for well over a year now uh outside of that in the shed we do have this Evergreen Miner I have not even checked in I don't know if you guys have as well is this even still working I really need to take a look is chia still a thing I don't know we do have uh the gold shell Al box 3 I kind of forget which minor no this is a 2+ there's so many different versions of them believe it or not uh this one actually and I learned something new the 120 volt transformer is actually bad on it it clicks but if you plug it into 240 which is what we're wired to it works fine so man I may have to reach out to Gold shell about getting that sent back but it's been running great on 240 but I would like to get it in the house to offer some heat so we have an uh ice River Rx zero this is new to me just got it about a week ago uh and then across the top here we have a variety of gold shells in here so we have the KA box original Caspa Miner we're going to talk more about these in just a few minutes we then also have here the AL Box 2 man remember when this was like remember the AL box and Al Box 2 were like the big thing over $100 a day oh how far we've come uh in addition we have the k a box too and then across the bottom we have a variety of ice Rivers uh these small home miners only Us in about 100 Watts which I absolutely love so we have the uh ice River KS uh the the ks0 pro on the end we have a the original ks0 now these do have 3D printed plates on the side from the meter box if you guys are interested I'll link it down below they just give so much better cooling than just the these like straight plates that you see on the way that ice River sends them I think these are like 25 bucks each uh for a set one on each side gives so much better cooling if you guys are interested and then we have three Al zero boxes we're going to talk about two of these in more detail in a minute dropping down below we have my son's uh GPU mining rig he's still going strong it's on the nice hash operating system if you guys are like wait what nice hash operating system I'll a video down below my son and I built this rig together it is running 8 MSI 1660 TI amazing cards the up time is incredible over like 110 days the operating system is so stable super to use it mines right to knh and he gets paid out in Bitcoin which he loves side note he actually bought his first thing with his Bitcoin recently which was the Oculus 3 the VR headset uh he went big which is awesome we do have our solar X minor down here and that cable actually runs out to a solar panel outside that charges the battery yes I need to get it mounted I know and then down here making all this noise we do have my X12 which has 12 370s in it I want to start to use this for some spec mining uh and right now those are actually on DX and DX is up like 15% right now other than that I have a uh HP server down here prance server that's running hyperv with about 25 VMS and they are using uh a lwn off of this qap here for storage as well last thing we have in our home crypto mining shed we'll swing around here and we just got this up back up and running recently some of you guys may have seen the video and all the mess but this is my home immersion kit and actually in here we have two Bitcoin miners strip down no fans no heat no loud noise and dialectric fluid yep that's actually dialectric fluid that you see there kind of like an oil and uh yeah it is up and Mining and running out and it's pumping that hot oil out to a dry cooler outside and cooling it off but that is all the home Miners and I'm currently running here at home uh if you guys are curious my electric bill uh here at home is just below $500 and I'm right about eight High eight almost 9 cents total but with all these home miners it works out great and I just can't pull myself away from running these small especially These Guys these small box miners that only use 100 wats but let's jump inside because there's a lot to talk about with these miners so what do you do with these ice River home miners when they originally came out and were for sale they were much more profitable than where they are today but the network hash rate for all three of these projects Caspa alium and radiant has been oversaturated by more and more Asic miners out there and most of the big boy professional Asic miners out there that have taken the network hash rate and skyrocketed it to the point where these home Asic miners kind of don't make sense to some people and I want to show you some of the tests that I've been doing so what exactly did I test well I took two of those ice River alz home lithium Miners And I put them head-to-head we put one of them on woolly pulley solo Mining and a second one on woolly pulley pool Mining and my goal was to see if I ran this for for somewhere between third a little over 30 days actually at this point to see exactly what they would go ahead and accumulate during that time and I know a little bit this is going to be a little depressing because of the fact of just how low the profitability has been and just continues to decrease but I want to share with you guys this test because most people out there don't have two of the exact same miners out there that can run this test so I thought hey I'll do it for you so we're doing this test from the exact same location on the exact same network with the exact same miners to the exact same pool so that we can get as close to Accurate results as possible so what are we looking at here well this is the woolly pulley dashboard for one of my Al L zos and more specifically the solo al0 and we've had this up and running for quite a variety of time here and it's actually done pretty decently are you going to become rich with these miners absolutely not and I wish the profitability was what it was quite some time ago but here we are today on October 15th so there are some metrics on here that you can see that I want to go ahead and share with you guys so you can see our hash rate right now let's refresh this page just to be safe and our hash rate right now is coming in registered at 332 gigahash pull side now our effort is 3.
35% so we've most likely hit a block more recently with this uh Asic and you can actually see the revenue calculated out over during this time period but we're going to take it a step further and look at what is exactly in the wallet because at the end of the day what we get paid out is really what matters now what I want to look at is the pending balance so we should keep that in mind when we're doing our calculation so we're going to keep in mind right here that 0. 469 or 61 cents is unaccounted for currently in our wallet and is still sitting on the pool on the flip side let's jump over to our pool Miner and if we refresh the hash rate for this one it's currently registering 527 gigahash so significantly different but it does definitely fluctuate as you can see up and down by that graph there so don't be too concerned with this other unit you can see that it has performed well as well it's just exactly what that hash rate is in this current moment now taking a look at this unit this is more mining directly to the pool which is what most of you are used to and with that in mind our balance here is 10 cents so keep that in mind but then we also have to away add up the awaiting amount so we're about 32 cents here a little bit no not even we're at 12 cents I guess give or take we'll go ahead and do a little bit more math once we jump over to the wallet but that gives you a snapshot of the solo and the pool side let's jump over to the wallet though and actually add up what we truly made during the time period of our test all right so here we are in front of our lithium wallet and this is actually we're logged into a virtual machine which is hosted on that server that I showed you guys in the shed we are running the lithium core wallet and we've created two separate wallets for testing the first one is the purple one there which is our pool side testing al0 test pool is what I named it and that's in purple so we're going to take that one first which our pool side is 3. 62 which is on the wallet side and we have to add two different amounts cuz we had a pending and a waiting there so our first amount is and this is in actually dollars not necessarily within a lithium so 0.
117 7 is the first amount and then 0. 014 is the second amount so in total on the pool side we have earned $31. 75 now if we divide that by 30 days that's how long we've been running our test we're making about just over a doll per day and I'm not even looking at electric because these things really only use 100 watts each which is nothing it's a light bulb taking a look at our solo side $32.
29 plus 0. 6 4 and we're at $32 and look at that great timing it logged us out $32 $32 82 so we're going to divide that by 30 days and we're at $19 so what does this tell us overall well it tells us in this unique scenario for a 30-day time period that solo mining was just a tiny tiny bit more profitable all within the chance of if we hit a block tonight or within the next hour it would actually be significantly different so from the Avenue of is it better to pull versus solo mining it's very neck and neck and the data is I think unfortunately too close to call in this situation so what do you do with these miners at this point because they're not exactly crazy profitable and I know it's frustrating because you probably spent a decent amount of money especially a hefty investment for you as a home Miner well for for 100 Watts it doesn't make sense to turn these off because electric isn't a massive factor which traditionally is with home mining even at 100 Watts as you increase to 20 or 30 or 40 cents per kilowatt hour it's not really a huge factor for 100 Watts by itself so you might as well have this up and running do I recommend selling these no you're going to take a massive loss by selling these right now honestly it's not worth it and if you're in this for the short game buying this couple1 Asic Miner was not going to make you rich to start with honestly so let me show you what I've been doing with my Caspa miners especially my home Caspa miners just to show you how they're doing today's video is sponsored by the team over at px. us I'm excited to partner up with px.
