so the first lecture that I discussed was called our real beliefs are what we live by that if imagining creates reality I will actively live upon this premise and then I spoke about the drama between Esau and Jacob and how this drama is taking place every single day while we roam this Earthly realm and that these are two perceptions that are personified these two perceptions that we hold in our Consciousness that we must be become persuaded by the inner perception by Jacob that goes beyond our reason in our senses and then we spoke about counting
the cost which is really a self-investigation asking yourself do I have the necessary faithfulness to remain faithful and loyal to this unseen reality in spite of tomorrow in spite of the senses do I have the necessary faithfulness can I remain loyal to what is unseen and then today we're going to speak about the pearl of great price and this too comes from 1963 and this starts off with a scripture it says the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of a fine pearls who finding one pearl of Great Value went and sold all
that he had and bought it now you and I are that Merchant it's not speaking about anybody else but you and me of the person in in in this reality it's speaking about us we must sell all what we have and buy this Pearl and this reminds me of the scripture where Christ is speaking to the rich man the rich man tells him I'm following everything I do every all the Commandments correctly what more can I do and he says well sell all you that you possess and come and follow me and that was too
much of a price to pay so he put his head down and walked away now that that's also us we are the rich man and we are the merchant and we hold on to many many beliefs many rules many ideas many conditions that we place we believe in other causes outside of our imagination and this is too much of a price to pay for many people the idea that our that our imagination creates reality is just too much and we're told we're this Pearl is personified and says by him all things are made that's too
much of a price to pay to think about that my imagination creates all things and that there is nothing outside of my imagination there's no God outside it's too much of a price to pay but then he goes on to Neville goes on to list certain things that you must give up because go if you believe in Authority you've got to sell it do you believe in numerology in teacup leaves in astrology you have to sell these things if you believe in some God outside of you you have to sell it or if you think
the way to God is to be vegetarian or you think it's to eat meat or you think it's to smoke or not smoke or drink or not drink then you think these are the way to God you have the wrong Christ it's that's wrong and it says that I am the way do I really believe that my own I amness my awareness is the way the way to what it says the way to everything in this world especially to the father do I believe that or do I think it's I have to do some outside
thing to to get there see when you start to believe that you have to do outside things to get there you were in Babylon you are you are in the Land of Confusion where everyone speak in a different language they give you a everyone has a different diet everyone has a different way to prayer everyone has a different way to worship everyone has a different God you are in the land of confusion but when you come back to this Pearl it says that he who is not with me is against me he does not gather
with me scatters and so you're scattered if you think that if you believe in some some thing on the outside there's always going to be a new a new thing to scapegoat on the outside as well and this is actually what Neville goes into he says that he actually as well believed in astrology and he actually taught it at one point and he said that he used to hold on to this little booklet that had his horoscope and he used to use this to justify his failures if he ever felt like he failed or something
didn't come about he got to blame a certain Planet he got to blame the moon um things of that nature you find and he he said that Blake said that self-justification is the the voice of Hell always justifying our failures that is the voice of Hell always finding some scapegoat as to why am I not the thing I want to be or it must be this or it must be the Moon it must be not in God's will you know we blame it on something on the outside now for me I never believed in astrology
or numerology I never really dove into that but what I had to give up was a belief in an outside God and for me it wasn't that expensive I guess I didn't mind giving it up because I I really firmly believed that there was a god watching me on the outside judging my every move and sort of patting my head when I did something good and giving me some type of punishment if I sinned or did something bad and I really believed this and I had to sell that that was something I had to sell
another thing you have to sell is thinking that because of where you were born or the circumstances which you were born into you think that because of that I can't use this Pearl I can't buy this Pearl or I can't um be what I want to be you have to sell that you have to sell that belief it's it's it's not about that you have to give up everything that you otherwise think is in the way and believe fully in your imagination believe in this Pearl I thought that at certain points that I I shouldn't
drink this or I shouldn't eat that at times and sometimes I resist and other times I followed and I thought that those were the way to God I really did and I'm not saying that you need to go you know to sell your stocks he's not telling you to sell your stocks he's not telling you to eat meat he's not telling you to do that he's saying that that's not the way of God that's what he's saying that belief that you think you have to in order to get to God that's what you must sell
you have to do anything on the outside it's all done within this drama this rich man this Merchant is all done within ourselves do I believe in myself do I believe that my imagination that is within me will create the thing I'm imagining if it's true that what what I don't have to look for some man outside of of me to follow I don't have to look to some savior on the outside some person who's going to lead me no I just go to my imagination it says that test yourselves and see and and Paul
calls Christ Jesus a power he says test yourselves and see that this power is within you and then gives you the test he says how do I test this well I start to imagine from the premise of fulfilled desire and so you might have a friend and without his consent imagine him wealthier imagine him doing better you he doesn't have to physically be here you can imagine him right now being as nevet gainfully employed having more than what he has and that's how you address them inside your mind that's how you address yourself inside your
mind and if it starts to work in performance and it doesn't matter what people say it's just he he actually tells you to experiment with it right the the hypothesis is does imagin create reality and you test it you test this claim see if it's true and when you find it you have to now have the question I have to sell what I possess and he goes into this story about how this woman was an astrologer and how this man came to come see her and she read this Fortune she goes oh you know you're
going to you're going to have this really good fortune based on your chart and and she goes he goes if it comes true I will give you $100 and she's like well why don't you just give me the $100 now because it will come true and he she's he's like no I'm going to wait until it comes true and then I'll give it to you and Neville was like well what's the problem she's like addressing him as if it's an issue he's like what's the issue with that you know and she goes well I kind
of got distracted and the book that I was using had his chart the wind blew it and it flipped over to a different page and I read him the chart of somebody who wasn't even born yet like 10 years um ahead of time it wasn't even born yet and he said he goes but did you believe in it and she said yeah I did and he goes okay then forget it and then the fortune actually came true for the man he goes but she couldn't give up a ology because her her um income depended on
it so her little he goes her little income depended on this so she couldn't give up astrology and buy the Pearl she couldn't see it was her own imagination that that her belief in what she imagined is what caused the fortune but she held that Reserve that is it's still in the stars that caused that it's somewhere in the sky it's some rotation of the planets that caused this Fortune to come about and so the price was too much for her so she couldn't buy it and like I said it took Neville a while to
buy it because he said he used to hold on to horoscopes and in his in his back pocket to justify all his failures he eventually gave it up I think he he obviously didn't have his income dependent on it but I think that he I'm not sure why he held on to it um I think CU he probably taught it at one point he probably was really deep into it so he had a hard time letting it go but he had to sell it it was a price it's it's an expensive price to pay it's
not you don't buy this Pro with money you don't need you don't need a money it's all done within yourself for the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls who finding one pearl of Great Value went and sold everything he had and bought it that's you that's me do I have to do I do I will I continue to believe in certain diets do I will I continue to believe in certain ideas outside of my imagination that I haven't bought yet it's to me it's too expensive that's how I would
feel but eventually I gave up this God on the outside and I followed this God on the outside I really believed in him for most of my life if not I mean I was taught to believe in that way that's how I was raised I was raised to believe in a god outside and then you you put oil on your head and then you you pray the certain way and you take this rosary and then you do like all these outside things you put this you know you eat this type of cracker and you drink
this type of wine and that's what I was taught all these outside things that I had to give up that's not the way it says I am the way my awareness is the way my imagination if you will is the way and it's not found outside of me it's within me it's within you but do you believe in it do you believe that if you remain loyal to what you what is unseen that it will become seen cuz that's what we're told how things create do you believe that or is there a little Reserve that
they no it doesn't that that's how things things work or do you believe in some something in the sky or some stars or cards do you believe in the flipping of cards to tell you your future or in a psychic do you believe in a psychic that tell you your future or do you feel your future is found in your palm these are all things that we would have to give up to buy this Pearl it's the pearl of great price it's not cheap but we're told that if that rich man were to sell when
Christ says sell everything you possess and then come and follow me he says but if you do that if you sell your P you will you will have great riches in heaven well he didn't want those riches in heaven he he didn't want that it was he didn't believe in it but if we do sell these ideas that we believe in you will find that this Pearl is what you're looking after it's what you actually want you don't I don't think people actually want to believe in these outside things that have control over their life
cuz we're looking for the cause and the cause is not found in the sky I mean Shakespeare said it he said it as well not in the stars but in ourselves do I believe that can I let go of outside things especially in times of trouble can I believe in my own imagination can I believe in Jacob as we talked about and so this Parable just leaves us with a choice it's a choice whether or not we will do it to the degree we believe in our imagination that degree will we will live by it
but we're actually asked to sell everything and it can be a difficult choice but it's something that I feel like I I've always wanted to do anyways I don't really like to believe in things outside I don't even think I enjoy it um I don't think I really like to believe in the god outs I didn't really like doing the I I never understood why I have to eat this bread and why I have to drink this wine on the outside I didn't realize I don't I understand why I had to do all these hours
and months committing myself to a certain religion I didn't feel like that was the way to God made no sense to me and so for me it wasn't that heavy of a price but but I believed in other things I believed in other justifications for failure believed in other way reasons why things weren't the way I want or why I wasn't the way I wanted to be it was of this person it's because of that person it's because of something outside of me I didn't believe that this power really could transform me I believed that
something was holding me back and it was outside of me and that's the reason so I had to I had to give that up that's when the price became great but for Neville it was it was astrology it was these these stars that he believed in I don't know what it is for you but you have to ask her do I actually believe my imagination is the will I sell everything that I believe in to believe in this do I actually believe in it will I will I pay the price so that's a question for
all of us but I'm going to end it here just keep a lookout as well for these um these daily ones I'm going to do another one tomorrow I I I'm not sure which lecture I again I just picked the ones that sort of speak to me um I have two in my mind so I'll keep a lookout but thanks for listening
