Laura was burned out her job as a marketer had her jetting off to new cities every other week after a long day of travel she finally checked into a hotel exhausted and ready for sleep but her peaceful night was interrupted by an unexpected knock on the door setting off a chain of events she never could have imagined hi everyone welcome to Tales unveiled today I'm excited to share a new story with you let's get started one of the things Laura hated most was traveling unlike other people who love traveling to new places Laura detested leaving
her comfort zone when Laura applied for a job at the new marketing firm she worked for she thought her job would only be within the confines of her City unfortunately it wasn't exactly 2 months after Laura joined the team her boss Adam realized that Laura was great at persuasion and bold and daring which made her a good fit for Word of Mouth marketing Laura you will be joining the travel team in two days get ready Adam told Laura one morning after the whole team had a brief meeting what Laura asked in shock I don't understand
she added I said you will be traveling with the team in two days so get ready Adam repeated when Laura heard Adam she didn't know how to react though she was very excited about traveling with the team and learning from the organization's best marketers she wasn't sure she wanted that okay sir Laura answer answered before her boss walked away before her first trip Laura found herself overwhelmed with packing and planning she packed her bags with a mix of excitement and trepidation her colleague Jane noticed her stress and offered some words of encouragement don't worry Laura
once you get used to it traveling can be a great way to see new places and learn from different markets just remember to stay organized and take things one step at a time 2 Days Later Laura joined the other marketers at a company they had been assigned to and thankfully their business there was successful as a newbie who was still learning the ropes Laura did not contribute much to that day's meeting but as she traveled more often with the other marketers she began to take control about a year after Laura began to travel with the
other marketers she started to travel to different cities independently her boss Adam believed that she was a one-man Squad and she didn't need to constantly travel with the other marketers all the time Adam was right Laura was an excellent marketer who could single-handedly seal deals for the company during her one-year training Laura sealed more deals than a whole team could do in two years however Laura's job had a downside she had to travel all the time and barely had time for herself or her friends and family because of her tight schedule Laura would sometimes travel
to at least three different states in a week including weekends but even though her salary was very generous the workload was very exhausting in addition to to constant travel Laura also faced the pressure of meeting her monthly targets and persuading tough clients to partner with her organization she could never go a full week without the stress of work hanging over her always feeling the weight of her responsibilities one day after returning from sealing a multi-million dollar deal in a neighboring state Laura was assigned to go to another state almost immediately her boss claimed that the
marketer who was supposed to go and meet the client called in sick so Laura was forced to cover for him since she was one of the best best despite her exhaustion Laura couldn't refuse her boss's orders the flight had already been booked and a taxi was waiting to take her to the airport she hadn't even unpacked her suitcase from the last trip so grabbed a small bag instead it felt like as soon as she walked through her front door she was leaving again heading straight to her next destination unfortunately her flight was delayed and as
a result she arrived at her destination very late at night Laura was already exhausted from traveling all day so the first thing she did as soon as she left the airport was to find a hotel luckily for Laura she found a hotel online that was not too far from the airport after checking the hotel's reviews which seemed perfect she picked a taxi to the hotel and she arrived there in less than 10 minutes after handing the driver her Fair he counted out her change and offered it to her here's your change ma'am he said extending
the money toward her Laura smiled waving it off oh don't worry you can keep the change she replied kindly at that point all Laura could think about was getting a room and heading straight to bed fortunately there were still rooms available so she quickly booked one for the night would you like us to bring you anything ma'am the polite receptionist asked after handing Laura her key card oh yes that would be great Laura replied perfect once you're settled in someone from the kitchen will bring a menu to your room the receptionist added as Laura headed
to the elevator as soon as Laura entered her room she flung her small bag on one side of the room took off her shoes and collapsed softly into the bed Laura was too exhausted to even change into her pajamas and within minutes she was fast asleep because of her fatigue Laura fell so deeply asleep that she did not even hear the knocks on her door someone had come from the kitchen with a menu for Laura to choose from but sadly she went to bed hungry the next morning morning Laura woke up to a soft knock
on her door at first she wanted to ignore the knock and go back to sleep but when she remembered that she was in a hotel she was forced to answer who is it Laura yelled in a grumpy voice good morning ma'am it's me Ellie the receptionist there's someone here asking to see you the receptionist said we tried calling your room but you weren't responding she added someone's asking for me who Could That Be Laura thought to herself who is it did he or she leave a name Laura asked as she walked to the door no
he didn't leave a name he only insisted on seeing you the receptionist said are you sure you're not confusing me for someone else I'm not expecting anyone Laura said in a confused tone she hoped that the receptionist would give her a better answer but the receptionist remained silent okay give me 10 minutes to freshen up and I'll be down there Laura said before shutting the door while in the shower Laura could not stopped thinking about the man who had asked to see her she had just arrived in the state the previous night and hadn't even
informed her boss or colleagues about the hotel where she was staying after changing into fresh clothes Laura headed downstairs her mind racing with curiosity about the identity of the man waiting for her as she turned the corner her heart skipped a beat when she saw who it was the taxi driver from the previous night hi is everything all right you asked to see me La said in a confused tone Oh I'm sorry if I woke you from your sleep the driver said oh no don't worry about that I was already up okay so I was
cleaning my car this morning and I found this the driver said as he handed Laura a small brown wallet the wallet contains some cash Laura's driving license and a flash drive oh my I didn't even notice this was missing thank you so much Laura said in a relieved tone because Laura was so tired she didn't even notice she had misplaced her wallet you're welcome Laura the taxi driver said I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't returned this Laura said again I need my wallet for work and I haven't even paid for the
hotel yet the taxi driver did not realize but it wasn't the cash and the wallet or the ID that Laura was so thankful for it was the flash drive the flash drive contained the presentation Laura was supposed to do later that day for her clients and if she had missed it it would have been a disaster for her and her organization what do I call you Laura asked oh my bad I'm Robert the taxi driver said Thank you again Robert please tell me what I can do to show you how much I appreciate this kind
gesture Laura asked no you don't have to do anything have you forgotten how generous you were last night the taxi driver said come on that was just a tip allow me to thank you properly Laura said no Laura I didn't do this because I wanted something in return I only did what was right so there will be no need for that the taxi driver said I'll be on my way now have a great day he added before leaving the rest of the day Laura couldn't stop thinking about the kind taxi driver who returned her wallet
she kept reflecting on how his decision to return it was not just a small act of kindness but a clear example of doing the right thing meaning her day was stressfree when it would have been the complete opposite to him it might have seemed like a simple action but to Laura it was a significant reflection of character his choice to go out of his way to return her wallet without expecting anything in return highlighted the importance of doing what's right even in seemingly small matters though Laura never saw Robert the taxi driver again after she
left that City she still thought about him every day sometimes she would silently pray for the man to meet a helper who would repay him for all his kindness as for Laura she continued to work at the marketing Organization for four more years before she left for another job that wasn't as mentally draining and timec consuming as her old job that way she got to spend more time with friends and family and focused more on the things that made her happy in the end Laura learned that while people often focus on seeking Grand rewards it's
the small acts of kindness that can create the most profound impacts the simple Act of tipping the taxi driver led to a significant favor teaching her that genuine gestures even if seemingly minor often set in motion positive outcomes this realization transformed Laura's perspective she began to make a conscious effort to show more appreciation and kindness in her own interactions both in her professional and personal life and that wasn't all 6 months later Robert was on his way to the airport to pick up Mr Tanaka a high-profile businessman who was a regular and generous client as
he merged onto the highway smoke came from the engine as the car shuttered to a halt on the hard shoulder Panic set in Mr Tanaka was expecting him and being late was unacceptable calling a taxi would be too slow and hiring a recovery truck would be too expensive and take too long he looked at his watch he was already cutting it close just then a silver sedan pulled over on the other side of the highway a man in his 60s stepped out and approached Robert looks like you're in a bit of trouble there the man
said Robert explained his problem the man nodded retired mechanic he said with a grin let's see what's up after a moment he pulled out a small tool and fiddled with something loose spark plug should be good to go now he said Robert was astonished he thanked the man and the Man simply waved him off Pay It Forward he said with a smile Robert made it to the airport with only 5 minutes to spare Mr Tanaka was less than pleased but Robert managed to smooth things over as a token of appreciation Mr Tanaka gave Robert A
Generous tip as he drove away in his now repaired car Robert's experience showed that kindness often comes full circle his Good Deed of returning Laura's wallet was rewarded When a Stranger helped him in his time of need even when we focus on big rewards it's the small acts of kindness that often make a difference Robert's situation demonstrated that every Act of Goodwill no matter how how small can eventually lead to positive outcomes and reinforce the value of paying it forward loved this story tap that like button and subscribe to the channel for more let us
