The Channel is all about freedom. I love freedom. Freedom for easy stance adjustability, and also consistent board flex and board feel underfoot.

When was the Burton Channel introduced to Burton? Well, we could go way back into the 80s and talk wind surfing and kite surfing, but more specifically. .
. I do love the 80s. Not going to lie, I love the80s.
Unfortunately I wasn't around. . .
I was born in the 80s, just saying. In short, we introduced an M5 channel in 2008 and in 2011 we introduced the M6 Channel which is the same one that you see here today. Wow.
All right, Grasso. We get this question all the time - why? Why The Channel?
It's a good question. Overall, the first piece - and maybe the largest piece - is the ease of stance adjustability - angles and width. That is really the build, or really the core of our Channel.
But, have you ever heard of the term "less is more"? I have, I have. All right, so less is more right?
How many screws do you use to hold your bindings right now? Two too many. Two too many!
Two too many. M6 Channel runs off of two inserts per channel. We know that it's a hollow aluminum channel with these inserts that have a little bit of a textured teeth in them.
I can hear it! To make sure that it grips the back of the The Channel. Wow, well I'm sold on The Channel.
