breaking through or getting success next we're going to highlight the major questions that McKenzie saw time and time again when working with restaurants and answer those to give you the information in the knowhow on how to use The right social media platforms and tools the right way for your unique restaurant and lastly we're going to bring it all together and teach you how to actually Implement these tips into your unique strategy and highlight some tools that can make it way easier and more effective in a fraction of the time for yourself or your team it's
going to be a lot but it'll help your business feel free when you're watching the video to rewatch things or slow it down I do Talk fast or jump to whatever you're looking for ultimately this video is for you use it how you wish but use it all right let's get into it almost all restaurants that fail on social media they make the exact same mistakes and because of those mistakes they don't get results they get discouraged and they just stop which hurts their business or makes it fail completely which is why we're starting here
so that you can know these common pitfalls and avoid them and These aren't just theories is your pulled directly from the field from people who have had consistent proven success marketing restaurants as mentioned Mackenzie from our team has marketed for a ton of restaurants and we also pulled a ton of insights from Jack Wise from the wise agency which specializes in helping restaurants go viral my back starting to Hur I want to stand up I don't feel like Darth Vader here I will Market your restaurant I Actually don't think he talks like that but let's
continue prepare my ship I will face him alone so one of the biggest mistakes that restaurant owners make on social is they forget that people eat with their eyes and that sounds super obvious but it clearly isn't because people continue to make this mistake and you probably are too when people that come to your restaurant tag you in either a story post or a Main feed post you're probably re-sharing it To your story or Main feed and you think that's a good thing here's why that's a really bad idea you only have one shot at
a first impression so if that photo isn't amazing if that video doesn't look great it doesn't highlight your food the way it should be highlighted that's a total wasted opportunity if that's on your main feed no one really gets anything from it and if you put it on your story there's no value given to the people who are already following you a Lowquality image from somebody who's already eating it doesn't really help you or the people following you in any way the premise makes sense oh I want to support the people who are supporting me
but for you and your brand and getting more people in it doesn't make any sense and it doesn't help you and if you really thought about rule number one that people eat with their eyes you would gatekeep the access to photos and videos of your food to ensure it's Always being represented the best way possible to make people want to eat human beings are wired to want to go and eat appetizing things so if you don't own that every single time chances are the images are going to be bad and no one benefits from it
so stop doing that you want to maintain a consistent quality across all the content you're posting and if you're posting other people's content that aren't professional creators chances are that's Going to suffer and ultimately you lose one of the hardest things you're going to have as a restaurant on social is getting past that first thousand or 2,000 followers it can really s snowball from there but that first bit is really like jail it's so hard to break through if you don't know what you're doing and the mistake here is that most restaurants either try to
fake their way to it by buying followers or just paying for ads on bad content or they give up Before they get that Milestone it gets way easier once you get there but getting there takes some effort and some strategy to break through you want to incorporate storytelling content as well as stuff that is highly sharable luckily food is inherently viral because we are all motivated to eat so if you make good-looking content and tell stories through your content it's very likely to be saved and shared which triggers the algorithm to push it to more
people some Examples of amazing storytelling content could just be a empty plate that then turns into your best looking dish and every step along the way or content documenting the environment potentially the before and after before it's busy and the kind of things people could expect What Makes You Different telling the story visually so people can see what they would be getting if they came to your restaurant as well as highlighting team members all the things That really go into the experience because ultimately that's what food is it's an experience and the restaurant that highlight
this the most creatively they win so to get out of this jail what I want you to do is become a student of content go look at other people who have posted food content that has performed very well and try to see the reasons behind why things worked and you can even take inspiration from people outside of food because you have a Massive advantage of food being a universal language you don't even necessarily need to talk to tell a story with food because everyone gets it and everyone is motivated for food giving you a massive
advantage that's why food content can constantly go viral and food pages in general can do very very well on social regardless of language so work to get to that first th 2,000 follower Milestone if they're through storytelling content great visuals that Are also telling a story and be creative in how you deliver what the experience would be like for people that came to your restaurant there's examples of this all over Tik Tok and Instagram become a student of content and put your own spin on things that make sense for your restaurant but don't quit because
the first bid is the hardest and also don't put money behind bad content a lot of people do this they try to gamify their way to getting the follower Milestone You could put a ton of money behind ads but your way way better serve putting more effort into creating High performing organic content and then boosting that with ads because people actually want this content and you know that if you try to shove bad content down people's throats they're not going to come to your restaurant you may get some followers but they're probably going to be
low quality and unlikely to actually want to come in and buy from You repeatedly always make sure to mention the location of your restaurant in all of your content because when someone sees a food that looks amazing they are way more likely to share it if they know it's an area where they go to or if they have friend there it dramatically increases the chances that it gets saved or shared which ultimately helps you because it's more personal you also get the added bonus of it coming from a friend and that can't be Understated and
that goes up way more simply by mentioning the location in the content and in the caption of that content make it very obvious exactly where your restaurant is because if the content looks great and anyone knows someone who lives in that neighborhood they're going to get it sent to them and now you win from the video but you also win from your friend basically telling them friend to go there and it happens way more often when they know exactly Where it is so that's a major mistake that so many restaurants make is they fail to
consistently remind people exactly where their restaurant is when you get good at content it'll be new people seeing your posts almost every time and so if you don't give them everything they need to share the post or come in and buy from you they won't and you may lose them forever so think about that when you're creating imagine this is a completely cold customer who's Never been in there before doesn't know who you are and doesn't know where you are and give them everything that they need make make it easily accessible to do what you
want and what ultimately helps your business always mention exactly where your restaurant is so many restaurants miss out on a massive Opportunity by not being deliberate with their digital storefront and so your digital storefront on Instagram in particular is your Instagram bio your Stories and also the posts that you live on your main feed the things that people see right away when they come to your profile if you're not deliberate and intentional with this you're going to lose people and you won't convert as many people into customers so when you think about your main feed
you want to be deliberate with what you put there because it's going to live there forever so only leave forever relevant content on your main feed an example could be a Time-sensitive sale it makes no sense for that to live on your feet it's wasting space and it's not even being effective where that would be way better served to use on your stories and you can even say it multiple times as well as potentially a story highlight until it becomes irrelevant but so many restaurant owners spam their main feed with time sensitive things that become
irrelevant but still live there and take up precious real estate that people Could be seeing when they come to your profile you want to be very deliberate and give people exactly what they need to follow engage and buy constantly be thinking about that so many restaurant owners just Spam out content without thinking think about what makes people buy what makes people hungry and you want to constantly be doing those things across all of your content and being very deliberate with what stays where because you'll be surprised if you get Someone in with a great piece
of content they're going to come and consume more of your content and you could lose them by being unintentional or doing something wrong like leaving an irrelevant post people leave profiles for very silly reasons and that's why all these things should be deliberately thought out and put there with intention so in summary the major mistake is not being thoughtful with your digital storefront and posting time sensitive or Soon to be irrelevant content on their main feed and leaving it there that's what stories are for use that for time sensitive things you can use the same
message over and over again people don't get fatigued the same way they would through a Main feed post so use things for the purpose that they serve and don't try to force things where it doesn't make sense two more mistakes the first is lazy content so many restaurant owners just Spam out generic pictures or Horrible videos of their food and wonder why people don't buy it even if your food looks amazing if the photo isn't high quality if it isn't presented in a way that really tells a story or creates a feeling people won't care
there's a lot more competition than there's ever been when it comes to Foods being marketed and thrown in people's faces on social so you want to be very deliberate intentional with the quality of the photos that you're taking and also the Quality of the videos and I don't just mean the file size the resolution all that stuff I mean what's being delivered through the photo or the video what kind of emotion is being created what kind of story is being told and does it actually do what you want it to do or are you just
posting to post so many restaurants fall into that camp where they're just trying to get a certain amount of posts out there and there's no intention and if they really thought about what made Them go in and buy things they're not doing any of those things in their content so when it comes to content in general but especially for restaurants if you're going to post lazy content you're almost better off posting no content at all because this is still your digital store front this is what people see so if your content is bad they're going
to assume your restaurant is bad it only makes sense so either get good at creating content or hire someone This stuff matters so much and doing it bad is almost worse than not doing it at all and I seriously mean that last mistake we see all the time is just a lack of creativity both in the types of content that are created people don't experiment and then also with the tools at your disposal Instagram gives you so many features to really be creative and one that I'll highlight in particular to get your creative juices flowing
is the close friends feature I don't know why Every restaurant out there isn't using that to communicate to their core people that are their best customers reward them for being your best customers and use tools like that to really build the community around the people that you know that love your stuff because the more they they love your food the more often they eat there the more they're going to talk about it and attract other people so get creative both in terms of content and the use of features for the Platforms that you're focusing on
and in the next section I'll explain to you which platforms you should prioritize as a restaurant all right let's move into frequently asked questions when it comes to marketing a restaurant on social first how often should you post the answer that I give is the same for any business and it's as often as you can while maintaining a high quality of output so what I mean by that is don't just post to post make sure there is a Reason and intention behind the post and you've executed the way that you want this isn't like a
personal brand where you could try again tomorrow often times what people see dictates whether they will come to a restaurant or if they won't at all so there should be a lot more intention behind everything that you post as a restaurant owner and constantly be focused focusing on the Forefront of what you're doing here which is to attract people to your Restaurant so remember people eat with their eyes make it easy for them to get to you so know exactly where it is and make it very deliberate and intentional for what you're trying to achieve
which is getting people hungry and getting them to commit to coming to your restaurant all of these things should be thought about all the time so if you're looking for a specific number I usually give this advice what's a number that you know you could stick to at a high Quality that is somewhat aggressive but absolutely achievable start there set yourself up for success and once you get good at creating content and you see the results coming in it's going to be fun for you and once your number that you've agreed to becomes super easy
raise that so if that's two three posts a week fantastic and then if that becomes four and five even better but start from a place where you know you can be successful so many people sit the bar so High and they can't possibly hit it so they quit what should I post about the options here are really endless but think about the assets that you have as a restaurant you have the asset of food you have the asset of the experience and the people that work for you you want to leverage those assets in your
content to connect with the people on the other side of the screen and you can never forget that think about why people buy anything or why they go anywhere because The people that they know the stories that they share and the feelings that they get your content should constantly be delivering those same things so you should post about your food in creative ways and telling stories you should talk about the brand how you got started the things behind the brand your core values the dynamic of what it's like to be there the atmosphere and then
also the team members that they can see and interact with when they come and buy From you these are all the things that you should be posting about and this stuff is in demand more than ever a lot of restaurants that I used to talk to they didn't post any of this stuff because they thought nobody cared people really do care they love to say they know the story and the people behind what they buy and they are way more likely to go to a place where they feel like they know someone people buy from
who they know like and trust and when it Comes to food it's a pretty intimate thing so if you give them that opportunity they're very likely to come back to you if you have a great product so that's what you should post about what type of videos should I post a lot of restaurants really struggle with video content and unfortunately it's a necessity at this point video travels way farther than static images so what you should be doing with video is telling stories there are countless Examples out there an easy place to start is go
look at what worked for other people and how could you do that with your menu items or your staff or your restaurant you don't need to reinvent the wheel when you're just starting out go look at something that went viral and then reverse engineer why it went viral break it down scene by scene Choice by choice in terms of what they showed how often they showed thing all of those things you're you're going To spot patterns so my advice to people who are new at this is go honestly recreate proven things do this 20 30
times reverse engineer the videos that you saw were proven to be successful and if you do that 30 times you're going to know what goes into making a video pop then from there let your creativity fly continue to go back to proven formats that you see across Tik Tok or Instagram or that you've had success with in the past but also continuously experiment The brands that really break through they did something fresh and often times just slight tweaks on things and and every restaurant has a unique Advantage because of the people and the story behind
it and so you should constantly be trying to tell that in different ways to allow people the opportunity to connect with it so what types of videos storytelling all the time when it comes to the food how the food is prepared how it is sourced why you do the things that You do why you started the restaurant in the first place the kind of environment that you have why you have that kind of environment versus other options the staff members that are there why they love what they do all of those things the things that
allow emotional reactions to take place that's what type of videos you should make how do I talk to my audience as a restaurant this you have a few different choices for if you're someone who is okay with being on Camera you could essentially become the person face of the restaurant brand and if that's not something you feel comfortable with essentially you can get creative and having multiple characters whether it be employees or whatever or you can even make things characters the example that I give with this is Ryan a which is a Tik Tok account
for a Budget Airline that basically made their planes a character and allowed themselves to be very culturally relevant by Incorporating this character across many sectors of content and so I'm not saying to copy that and make a sandwich a character but that kind of thinking is an option if you don't feel comfortable getting on camera but what I would say to that is I would really urge you or at least someone from your team hopefully multiple to get in front of the camera and share some of themselves even if you are painfully awkward there's actually
an increasing demand of people who want To see that because a lot of people aren't comfortable on camera and they know that they wouldn't and so when they see someone who is super comfor comtable on camera it's not as relatable and so ironically you can actually resonate more through just being yourself even if that is awkward because people can feel that and they can resonate with that a lot deeper and so if they see themselves on the other side of the screen and they know they would be awkward they're way More likely to buy and
I actually see that as a trend for this coming year or two is the emergence of super awkward creators and it only makes sense because the first people to make social media content were obviously people that were somewhat comfortable making content or they just forced themselves to be and eventually became that way but they didn't really get big until people saw them more comfortable but that's completely changing now and people want To see the rawness the vulnerability so don't be afraid to get in front of the camera even if you don't think you're a good
talker or you think you're awkward that's okay and could actually be an advantage so talk to your audience exactly like you would any other person unless you're creating some sort of character and some restaurants can be successful with this they create like an alter ego for the brand or a character and they consistently communicate the Same way so either pick a character and be consistent with that or just be consistently yourself both can be incredibly effective do whatever makes the most sense for you but push yourself past your comfort zone people really want it do
hashtags matter they matter less and less over time but they still do play a role essentially all hashtags do is it helps these platforms categorize content and so if someone's really hungry they may actually go look At a hashtag to try to find something to eat they actually matter more for restaurants I would say than they do the average account so you want to be deliberate and intentional with the hashtags that you're using don't stress them they're certainly not the be all end all and they're less important than they used to be but think about
it logically if you you use something that's highly relevant to the exact thing associated with the post let's say It's a story of building a chicken sandwich using # chicken sandwich can only help you because if people can go to chicken sandwich and see your post that's going to help you very intentional and very direct only use hashtags that make complete sense and have a ton of relevancy for the specific piece of content so yes they still matter not as much but they matter more for the average but they matter more for the restaurant than
the average account A good rule of thumb here is to spend a few minutes for each post on hasht no more don't stress yourself here great content is way more important than hashtags do I need to be on every platform out there the answer to this is absolutely no and truthfully I would recommend focusing on a few Target platforms that drive the most results I would prioritize Instagram because Instagram also allows you to post directly to Facebook at the exact same Time and people are very conditioned to buy from and through Instagram or at least
start that purchasing pathway through that platform Instagram also gives you a ton of features to connect and build community with your customers that aren't really present on any other platform so I would actually prioritize Instagram and the next platform I would prioritize would be Tik Tok so many people are buying food especially through Tik Tok and it's getting better And better at being regions specific and so you're going to get your content sent out to people who are in your area who can immediately come in and buy so Tik Tok is incredibly important and ideally
you can make short form vertical video content and post it to Instagram and Tik Tok at the exact same time and also through Instagram post it to Facebook so those are the three platforms I would prioritize and for most restaurants owners that's probably fine you make a Facebook page you make your Google account you make your Google business and you make Instagram and Tik Tok and you post there consistently that is gold for most people if you want to try YouTube it's a very hard game to play so unless you're going to do it right
I wouldn't invest too much time into it but what I would do is go capture all of the high purchase intent keywords for your business and so most businesses haven't touched YouTube so getting Ranking for Search terms is very very easy and so it's a pretty simple concept all that ranking means is let say I typed up coffee in Toronto if someone made a video targeting that exact keyword and they gave a solid video there's a high chance that they're going to rank there so like let's say coffee shop in Toronto you make a good
video you target that through basic YouTube SEO which stands for search engine optimization and then your video can Rank there so what I recommend all restaurant owners do is to go think about all of the things that people are typing into Google that leads to them coming to buy from you and then make videos solving that question or answering that question usually it's only like 5 to 10 keywords but if you go and make it chances are no one else who you're competing with has so it won't be a ton of traffic but it will
be incredibly high value and high intent Traffic the people that watch these videos are incredibly likely to come in and if you want to track this stuff you could even give them a discount code like something like YouTube where if they come in and and say that they get a discount and then you know they came from YouTube so you can do all of these in a weekend and let these videos sit and live there huge Pro to YouTube If you make a video and you do it right once it can rank for years so
you only Would really have to do this once a year type deal or once every few years and it can still bring you in results other huge bonus to YouTube is YouTube can rank within Google pretty easily so if you make this video great you can also have it rank within Google which as you probably already know search is a huge deal when it comes to converting people to buy which is why people pay for search ads for restaurants a ton of people do that but you can get some of The benefit with less competition
by making a YouTube video because way less restaurants are going to take the time to make these videos and Target them for high intense shirt High intent search that was a tongue twister so in summary Instagram Tik Tok musts Facebook I would also say as a must but you can do Instagram and Facebook at the same time those are your musts anything else I would view as extra like YouTube Twitter or X Pinterest etc those could be Opportunities for you to Market but I wouldn't say they're necessities and I would rather you focus on a
few platforms and do them really well where you can basically execute the same strategy to a really high level then try to be everywhere all at once you're way more likely to just stop and that's what we're trying to avoid here at all costs I've got a special how do I Market that appropriately so this is directly tied to the one of the mistakes that we Mentioned and that is putting time-sensitive content on your main feed don't waste a post by pushing your promotion use your stories for that I want you to think about like
this when you post a Main feed piece of content whether that be a photo or a video your goal is to get it pushed from your audience to a new group of people completely cold people and so if they don't know about you chances are they don't really care as much about the Promotions there's not a lot of value you could give a cold audience through a specific promotion so I would way rather you use your stories for that because that is already a time-sensitive feature and you can use that way more times you could
literally post a story a day for a week and people won't get fatigued or discouraged by that the same way they would if you posted Main feed content like that so instead leave your main feed posts for Universal value delivery So like you know that anyone would be interested in this kind of content and get value from it view it as very top of funnel and then use the more intimate features that aren't going to fatigue your audience like stories to communicate a promotion and if you really want to men mention it in a Main
feed post put it in the caption or mention it briefly in the content but don't let it take away from the lifetime value of that content so focus on the Features that are a little more time-sensitive like stories or even story highlights until it's over rather than spamming people and conditioning them to not pay attention when they do see your main feed content whereas stories people skip through those all the time so it's not a huge hit if you hit them with promotions multiple times in a week no one really cares it's just not the
same way that people consume content there so Market your promotions With those features and not with Main feed posts and that goes for events too anything time sensitive use time-sensitive features I want to talk about certain menu items how should I go about doing that I would view every menu item and anything you want to highlight as a character right and so with any character you love the characters that you love because of the stories that went into you figuring out about them and learning more about them and so you Want to make your food
items characters and have stories involved with them and the stories can include How It's Made why it's made the right way why you don't cut corners or or why you have it on your menu in the first place these are the kind of stories that you want to tell to highlight specific items so it's no longer just the item it's the story that goes along with it and people make decisions entirely based off of stories because we're emotional beings and good Stories they create emotions so people buy with emotion and they back it up on
logic so if you tell the story you're building the emotion and also providing them with the logical reason as to why they should buy the project project not project I meant product give them the story give them something to feel about to resonate with and they're going to be way more likely to buy where a lot of people would just post their menu item and say oh this this this is in it okay Why is that and why didn't you do other things why' you add it to your menu in the first place tell me
more give me more of a story educate me and entertain me if you do that I'm going to come in I'm going to buy the item and I'm going to love being able to tell the person beside me oh did you know that they do this because of X Y and Z reasons people want to be invested they want to care and they also want to feel smart and so if you give them the opportunity to do Do that they're going to and you're going to benefit from It ultimately people love what they love and
sometimes they want to know more but they don't know how and so if people love your restaurant and your kinds of food you are the expert you can educate them and give them things to bring to their family which is going to help you grow and also deep in that relationship with the person who's coming into your restaurant and eventually people are Going to ask how do you know all this stuff and they're going to say oh my favorite restaurant taught me all of these things told me all these stories and you win because of
that so highlight menu items as characters and tell stories all about them I need a line cook or some specific staff member how could I Market that on my socials for this advice I would give the same sort of advice that I gave for marketing specific promotions or deals that are Time sensitive only use time sensitive features so stories or story highlights things that can go away or do go away and if you're hiring all the time you could also make a clever video talking about the fact that you're hiring all the time and send
the traffic to where people could sign up for that that could be a good use if it makes sense for your brand but nine times out of 10 I would stick with a story just like I would for the promotion it just makes way more Sense for all the reasons I've already mentioned another question that restaurant owners ask all the time is okay I know I need to be creative but how do I be creative and the best way to learn how to be creative is to learn how other people do it so go look
at examples all across social media become a student of it and reverse engineer things that work so many restaurant owners get fixated on thinking that it's they need these like high polished ads To be effective but so often times really lowbudget stuff that's just clever and shot on an iPhone or an Android even can pull crazy views so it's not necessarily the what it's the why that you're looking for so don't reinvent the wheel when it comes to your first ever post but also explore your your Curiosities so if you have an idea for a
video execute it well but also if you're just getting started and you feel overwhelmed go look at the proof proof Leaves a ton of Clues and if you just do that exact exercise I talked about earlier a reverse engineering 30 Concepts and incorporating that into your thing so like your swap it for your menu items your staff your place whatever and you really reverse engineer those successful videos the length of the video the scenes the changes how many times they change the pacing the visuals the music all of those things second by second and then
do that for You you're going to quickly develop the skill it is a skill and that's why people are able to go into restaurants and help them grow very quickly and so you should either hire someone like that to help you do that or if you don't have the budget which most restaurant owners don't you need to listen and Implement all the things that we're talking about in this video I know that so many of you are pressed for time so you know you need to be doing this but you don't have The time to

and then also your voice so your tone of voice this is really where I feel a lot of people miss the Mark is they don't have a brand voice that is consistent and they don't have really a personality You really want people when they come across your content to know it's your content just simply from the language and the words that you're using and so you want to have that consistently throughout and by giving some context to Iris as to what your specific brand voice sounds like we're going to make sure that everything coming forward
fits into that so you consistently sound like the same kind of person the same brand so people can easily figure out who you Are and why they like you so you add special rules tool so you can add specific things so if you want this General voice to take place but you want things to be excluded or you want things to to be more specific for example you could leave it that all the vocabulary is very basic you can really customize this to be exactly how you want so feel free to play around with this
and really think about who your brand actually is so figuring out what your brand really Is is very important and you can customize this to match that specifically so we'll move forward once you're cool with that and you have content themes and so these are going to be topics that you will consistently get content props for and specific content created based on what you're trying to achieve so you would completely adjust these to your restaurant based on all the things that we've talked about up to this point so you'll figure out the Specific kinds of
themes and topics that you want to be covering within your content and you'll adjust these to fit that criteria the different content themes and we'll also give you some suggestions based on the information that you provided previously so don't feel like you have to come up with everything that's really the value of iris is that we're going to give you prompts that are specific to your goals so we'll continue with this and you can Add specific events so you want to turn on seasonal holidays depending where you are in the world all those good things
you can have content that's going to provide that or if you don't feel like that makes sense for your brand then don't turn them on and we won't provide you things of that nature but here is the last piece that's so important for you as a restaurant owner is products and services and so this is huge because you can actually add in your exact Products and services and we're going to give you content ideas captions a bunch of customized things specifically to your unique products and so that usually take a lot of time right it
was coming up with ideas for a specific menu item that you want to specifically push people towards a new menu item that's a lot of creative juices that you would need you no longer need that because now with Iris we're going to talk the way that you talk and the way that you want To show up and we're now going to do that for the specific products that you were trying to push that is really the time savings here on top of many other things we'll walk through but that is super specific to Resturant owners
where you can save a ton of time so if you come into here you can click add your first product and so if you have a website you can easily just put in the URL and then we'll take the information from the URL but if you don't have it You can easily add in specific menu items like here with the name the price how often people pay for it the description of it additional context if there's anything in there and then as well as imagery for that exact menu item so you can add anything that
you sell on here that you want to highlight you can add that into here and that's going to be able to be thrown into your content strategy and if you want a specific strategy made from one of our creative Partners and you have their code all you would do is Click apply strategy code Type in which code makes sense and then we'll customize their strategy for your information to give you exactly what they had so that's an option too or if you want to make it completely from scratch after you've added all menu items that
you want that you can constantly add to this over time you just click finish and create my strategy so if I click this this now gives us our Entire social media strategy so the platforms I'm posting on that flick can all schedule too Instagram Facebook Tik Tok LinkedIn if you want to your posting frequency your content aims you can adjust these as a sliding bar the media distribution the content themes you're using and the percentages of each so you can completely customize your strategy to what you're trying to achieve which is why we've really stressed
that throughout this video is figuring out What that looks like for you and what realistic looks like for you as well so once we figured that out adjust these to your specific desires how much content you can be creating the access to things that you have all of that good stuff and once you're cool with this you can also look at post templates so if there's really kinds of posts that you see on social media that you really don't like you can make sure that we don't give you those ideas within post templates so you
Can come into here and be like I really don't like howto guides you can remove those right you can drop it down to zero and we won't give you any more of those or you can also add in your own template so if you see there's a template that you see really does well within the restaurant Niche the food Niche or another Niche that you feel like could work within food you can create that completely custom here and then add that to the templates that are being used by Iris and we'll give those filtered into
your content strategy as well and if you accidentally click out of your strategy once you get to that point all you have to do to get back to it is just click my strategy right here and if you also want more tutorials in-depth tutorials on each of these things that we're talking about here just click the tutorials page and we'll give you a ton of additional help as well so let's go back to my strategy here once we're cool with all Of this and you've adjusted it completely specific to your liking and what you're trying
to achieve once Iris has all of your custom information we then click save changes okay so now we have that now we can actually put Iris to use doing all these different activities that go into creating high value content that works right so within Iris you can click generate post generate caption brainstorm post ideas keep in mind all these ideas that are Going to be fed to you are going to be based off of solid data that has worked in the past and also specific to what you gave it right so these aren't just generic
AI driven content ideas they're completely contextualized and specific to your restaurant and where you live right we have all the information that we need to basically allow Iris to be your custom dedicated social media assistant doing 80% plus of the hard work that goes into creating social Media content so you can stick to a schedule you can have higher value content in a fraction of the time because we're doing a lot of the heavy lifting that isn't necessary to be done because we've built this tool right so you can also repurpose blog posts you can
find viral Trends within flick easily right here you can play it within your content calendar you can turn media into posts you can generate a carousel within flick you can even generate Custom media if you don't have your asset set yourself but as I recommended before definitely recommend you making your own photos and videos there's so much to cover here so let's just go into it quickly so that you can see what this looks like and I strongly recommend you going to try this out for yourself you can do so completely for free so go
in there set up your brand Hub put it to use and you'll see firsthand how this can save you the time that it can so Let's just show you within suggested posts let's get get my posts right and so this is now Iris going to work creating post ideas that we can then bring to life so whenever you're stuck for a post idea back in the day you'd have to go spend a ton of time searching we're basically doing all that for you so we're going to cut down the time that it takes to get
a good idea and then just allow you to execute it step by step we give you the Specific Instructions so this way you can learn from what's on social media we can also save you a ton of time by giving you specific ideas that you just go do and as it's creating this content it's all based on the context that I gave it so you're not going to see restaurant specific content here because I'm not a restaurant owner but these posts would all be specific to you and your restaurant and where you are because the
information that you gave within your Brand Hub so keep that in mind all of these are going to be specific to you in particular which makes them way more more effective and so here is a quick example of just suggested post So based on the information that I have given to IRS here's a few different approaches that I could take for Content they wrote the captions based on my brand voice their topics associated with what I want to be talking about and who I want to be talking to and they even AI generated Media specific
to the post topic since I would have my own media I could just easily come in and customize this and I could swap the images into here or the photos into here I could choose which platform it goes to all from one place I can also upload media to my library at any time to be posted out lat later or I can generate a graphic with INF flick I can use AI to make an image or I can use stock photos whenever possible make your own content but we give you all of these Tools to
make it as easy as possible to get higher quality things out faster so what I would do is I would come in and input my selected media let's say I wanted to input this video right here I can add that I can remove the AI generated stuff I can adjust this if I want to change anything I can completely customize this I can click improve and write specifically what I want to be improved let's say I wish it was a bit longer so you can really get completely Custom with this now iris is going to
go to work take the same general premise and make it longer because I asked it to be a little bit longer so you can make it really any kind of improvement you could think of you could say make it easier to understand adding more specific industry information tell more of a story etc etc this really is your partner that you want to put to work take full advantage you can also adjust the length easily right here shorten or Lengthen let's provide some of this here to let's say add more of a story and so this
will change what's given here to tell more of a story and to build more emotion that way just from a simple prompt I I can also add in emojis right here I can also quickly add in hashtags I can click generate hashtags which will use our data to give you targeted hashtags to your account and this post or you can access your collections because with INF flick we give you the Most sophisticated hashtag research tool on the market to find specific tags for you that you can save into collections and add quickly here so we
really try to make this as simple as possible for you to get the most performance in the least amount of time so that's one example and if I was done with this I could choose a date to post it let's say I want to go live Thursday I can choose a specific time and we even suggest the best time a post based on your account's data so Let's say I want 4m. and I can click customize post and then make it live and it will automatically go live on the platforms that I have selected and
connected to my flick account so you can come in here once a month or even once a quarter and get all of your content plan so that you no longer have to think about it in a fraction of the time and just to show you what our schedule looks like I'll click customize post and our tool is smart enough to know that it has To be the right format otherwise Instagram or the other platforms won't post it for you and so since I chose a video on a post that I previously said was an image
I just have to change the post type to a real and then now I can schedule it so we do a lot of work to also Safeguard to make sure that you're posting things the right way so they actually go live so now I've made that adjustment I can change anything else I want to add to it I can add a location Tag which for you as a business owner you should definitely be doing I can even schedule a first comment I decide how it's scheduled I can choose the thumbnail associated with the real and
I can also choose the posting method so I can let it automatically go live or I can receive notification when we want to manually make it live I leave it automatic because I don't want to think about it but that choice is up to you you can also add additional platforms That you want to scheduled too but I'm cool with this I wanted to just go to Instagram I'm cool with everything here I just made a post in seconds now I'm going to click schedule posts which will then send it over to the scheduler so
if I want to go over and see that I just go to content from here go to scheduling and there's some free Pro tips from Lo our CEO who's constantly giving you more advice and tips on how to maximize the platform that's a big focus of ours so We try to give you as many tools and tips on how to maximize this so definitely pay attention to these when they do pop up but you can see the post that we made in seconds right here exactly how we made it I can click into this if
I want to change anything at any time so you can always come back and adjust things if things have changed or if you wanted to go to more platforms really whatever here or if I decide that I don't want this to be posted I can Just click customize post and instead I can click save it to draft so I could easily save this to a draft it would take it off the scheduling that we had put and it would no longer go live at the scheduled time and if I want to delete this post I
could do the same sort of thing I could click delete right here I can click customize post and then I could also delete it right here if I wanted to as well so that'll get rid of all the work that I've done to this Point and get rid of that post if I want it gone so you can save it as a draft if you use it later or if you don't like the idea at all get rid of it and then go make a new one in a fraction of the time there is so
much more that I could share here and we have more videos like this on our channel so I link some above right here if you want to go check those out but to give you a bit more of an idea of how this could be really beneficial for you I want to show you The brainstorming functionality here so that you can find viral Trends which is a huge value ad but for a restaurant owner who struggles finding specific ideas for restaurants this is where we really think that we can help you save a ton of

can upload those all here I'll click skip media just for the sake of this video I can add in specific products if things have Been added I can include key events that are taking place during that time period and then I can click continue then from here iris is now going to go build our next month worth of content specific to how often we want to be posting and each of the post ideas are going to be specific to the different criterias and goals that we had as a page so you can see right here
the post idea the post format the type of content that it is and that's the Case for all of these different ideas so we make it as easy as possible to make a very highquality and consistent social media strategy tailored to you and your goals let's say say I'm cool with all these you could customize these further but I'm cool with these for the sake of this video I'll click create posts now it's generating all the captions because I approved the ideas iris is now going to write those captions specific to my brand voice and
who I'm trying to speak To so all this is going to be completely customed to me so then for each of these we tell you how to create the content we tell you what to put where we do as much as we possibly can to make this super easy and once all these are here and I'm cool with everything I click add to scheduler so I can hover over here and it has the idea exactly how to create it all that good stuff and I can even get a custom video script made for this idea
so if I click this it's going to Generate an exact script based on my information that I can just simply go film and execute everything by scene exactly what I'm saying all of this stuff I can then click save I could use that script once I've built it out I can then click upload media and generate caption I can upload the video that I made let's say it's this I can continue choose the proper post format to real customize the captions to my liking customize the specifics to each platform I'm posting on and then once
