Pakistan just launched a huge missile attack on India's military bases and Pakistan said the missiles actually hit those bases. However, it's worth knowing that Pakistan actually did this in response to India doing the same thing and they targeted three Pakistani military bases. Officially, Pakistan named this attack quote operation Bunan Marus and it means a structure made of lead.
Something really important though, India claimed they shot down most of these Pakistani missiles, which is the opposite of what Pakistan said. And there's actually quite a bit of proof for that. In fact, Pakistani missile debris was found on the ground near the border with Pakistan, suggesting that India did actually shoot down some of these missiles.
But finally onto something quite positive. About 2 hours after this happened, the US President Trump announced that he had mediated a ceasefire deal between India and Pakistan and both sides will no longer be fighting each other. Trump posted on his social media and he said, quote, "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I'm pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire.
" And on top of that, he also said, quote, "Congratulations to both countries for using their common sense. " And it's worth noting that India and Pakistan did acknowledge this and both foreign ministers said that it's true and the fighting will be stopping. The Indian foreign minister said, quote, "It has been agreed that both sides will stop all of the fighting from 5:00 today.
" So this morning, Pakistan launched a huge missile attack onto India and ironically this evening, there's now been a ceasefire in place. Things happen quite quickly. But as usual, you can leave me a follow for some more global news like this.
