So, I'm going to try something a little different today. So, instead of typing something out on Twitter, I'm going to record a little video and share that and see what happens there. So, this is a common mistake I see with people running quiz funnels.
This came up in a chat today and I leaned in and told him all the things that I thought he should be doing differently based on one man's opinion. And really, I think the big thing comes down to people only think about quiz funnels or survey traffic or whatever it is as qualifying or disqualifying the potential customer. So, you know, I sell apples.
I only want to talk to people who like apples. So, I have a question that says, "Do you like apples? " They say, "No, you kick them to a different funnel or you never follow up with them or whatever it is that you do.
" you're really just sort of filtering your audience and disqualifying them. The real trick to survey traffic though is if you think of it just like an advertorial or pre-sale that is basically pushing on the bruise, pushing on that pain point and reminding them of the pain and the emotion that you were trying to invoke. So, let's use a diet example just because that's typically the easiest.
Are you a man or woman? How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
Like all of these things. But what people forget to put in there is, do you like the way you look in the mirror? Do you feel comfortable standing in the mirror naked?
Do you feel like your clothes are too fat? Do you feel that people are staring at you? Do you think it's keeping you from finding the love of your life and really just sort of pushing on those emotions, which is really the reason they're buying the product anyway, right?
They're they're buying the solution to the problem, but not let's call it a diet pill or some They're buying the future state. And so I talk a lot about that too where it's like, why does somebody want to lose weight? It's not because they want to be skinny.
It's because they want to feel attractive to the opposite sex. They want to not be embarrassed when they take their shirt off or get into a swimsuit and go to the pool. They want clothes that fit.
They don't want to run out of breath. Everybody has an acute problem around a macro issue. And so the pro tip, use your quiz funnel to invoke that pain and that negative emotion with questions.
And then you can also close with a positive question. Do you feel that it's possible to lose weight? Do you feel that it's possible to find the love of your life if you were skinnier?
Anyway, give it a shot and let me know how it works.
