in New Orleans on the west bank side of the Mississippi River is the Toro Shakespeare nursing home [Music] it was built to provide extended stay care for seniors with varying disabilities when it was still operational it had a total of 119 beds it was named after judith toro who was a local philanthropist and died in 1854 so there is gothic looking building the barbershop pole spray-painted on one of the pillars it's been sitting empty since 2005 let's go inside today creepy hallway down there this was just pretty awesome this is what the chapel actually used
to look like with the stained glass windows does it look like that anymore that you watch where you step to zoom here's a songbook it looks like somebody actually tried to cover up the graffiti with some of this white paint didn't look like they got very far though all right I say let's head that direction there's a lot of broken glass on the ground now you got to watch your step especially for nails too I would have seen this guy wearing a suit you need a shirt lays on one right there an extra one I'm
gonna try them sitting room is right here get bent I try quarters in that work you loominatee simple that the the tripod at the chapel that's trifles I wonder if they if there's any plans to we build any of this or fix it up at some point just because now this is crazy on the electrical boxes and falling from the roof probably all water damaged it's wet in here it's pretty disgusting and somebody used to take a shower here a long time ago your negative weight gain a million nights maybe wasn't for that yeah this
is obviously with the photos you can see the hole on the ground I'm sure all the toilets are probably moved people see the photos just through the water that fell down there all you saw Glazer just creepy looking but it was like three awesome ladies in these three rooms back each other yeah Golden Girls moon I don't remember the golden girl thing Rose Blanche and Dorothy yeah oh god what is that information look at this insulation is all waterlogged and turned into like paper mache now I would not want to touch that what are y'all

there that must be where the sink was I'm assuming that's where the toilet was and we've been here nice view man I got a chimney everything come today so uh what do y'all think of this place Guinness you know right up in the top of there with other abandoned places yeah it didn't run into any sketchy characters no animals or Lost's and it's surprisingly cool in here considering how warm it is outside it's like 77 degrees outside in here it's so breezy it feels feels very pleasant in here good trash oh this guy musky 2017
I've seen his tag on many things here musty guy there's a few people in the whole city of New Orleans that as you go and see these places more and more you start recognizing their tags maaske is definitely one of them I'm sure like that stuff is probably not good to be breathing in frogs and I'd be okay with that what's happening you dirty true look at this look upset that spider is yeah this is a good battle going on here Wow that's a serious spider right there know what that is I've written on top
of many of an elevator okay that's pretty cool right here the elevator has down in this elevator shaft kind of tell full of water interesting but this is probably where the control for the elevator was and you push the down button and the elevator would come up and the doors would open that's cool see this one gang I kidding yeah Goonies ah she's flipping yeah get old these stairs look what you hear that's it for you I guess [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh the Toro Shakespeare home is pretty cool it's like we said
