[Music] hi my name is jayen Brown from the Boston Celtics and today I'm going to inform you about my diet and how it helps my [Music] training I'm very conscious about what I put into my body I listen to my body as well about things I may need but I'm also not afraid of trying new things I love to work with Celtics and Julie over here that helps me kind of decide from a day in day out basis what that looks like so my name is Julie I'm the chef of the Bon Celtics we work
with the dietician with a nutritionist with the performance staff with tellor made a menu just based on this body just to make him perform 100% offseason probably eat a lot more carbs so I probably eat a lot more than I do during season um during season I don't like to be heavy when I play or to feel heavy at least it all depends if it's game day it's not Game Day based on his diet based on uh uh what his body need and we tailored made a menu just for for this guy he always BS
on uh getting the fuel to perform 100 100% during in season a normal Scaris will be wake up at about 8:00 get to the facility like 8:30 8:45 usually around closer to 8:45 probably eat the same thing every sing morning oatmeal I eat oatmeal with granola bananas and blueberries I probably have like a shake a green man which will what's in green like pineapple celery spinach and then we have shoot around or whatever the case is I come up for some lunch around 12 two CH of protein mostly chicken or fish then we have a
carbon vegetable every day for me it's usually rice rice and sea bass or something like that as what my diet has been as of recent and then I go home take a nap I'll probably wake up around 4:00 4:30 and know probably eat a variation of the same thing another carb with another protein and then I'll get to the arena around 5:30 and I'll probably just have a bunch of water maybe have a banana have some dates we always have some dates in my locker my favorite snack on a game day it's like a fast
fuel just before the game so it's perfect to have [Music] it then after the game probably around 10:00 11 post game you you want something more fun more creative just to release a little bit of the stress of the game I think it helps a lot with with some kind of of fun food ice cream is like my guilty pleasure like no matter how hard I work throughout the day like I feel like you deserve a reward so ice cream has always been my reward so after a long game or something Julio make sure he
has some he'll find something in the arena this year we came up with the idea we found a machine who can make like a proof protein ice cream that is fantastic for prayer is just under 20 calories you provide 12 gam of protein for each portion you won't feel guilty after you eat it all yeah so it is going to be perfect for the season toughest diet I've ever followed was I was vegan for 2 years during the month of Ramadan we practice fasting so every year that changes the the month the time um but
the last few years has been during the season U we build a plan like last last year we built a great Pan um to make sure that during the time of fasting from sun up to sun down that I still get all the nutritional values my favorite postgame maill is probably some form of ramen I love ramen yes favorite car rice ice cream I don't know maybe like Nella or peanut butter smooth I'm I'm definitely a breakfast guy brench he that my mother's French toast if my grandmother if she was still alive her pancakes I
would choose that all day long when you think about your D you definitely should think like your body is a temple you should be always aware of what you putting into your body where they're made from where they're produced but at the same time you should always be listening to your body cuz it'll tell you what it needs and what it doesn't need so I encourage those to to do the research but also try different things and see how your body feels
