In today's video, I'm going to be walking you through how I built 10 streams of income in my 20s, that last year alone made me just about a million dollars in profit. Now, for each one of these 10 income streams, I will explain what they are here on camera, but then I'll take it a step further and switch you over to my own computer to show you real examples. Now, for as many of these as I can, I will show you my own businesses so you can see exactly what I am doing, but just keep in mind, I don't want to give up all of my specific niches, so I can't show you my own businesses for every single one.
Now, what's going to make this video super helpful compared to most videos like this is most people just tell you what the income stream or what the business idea is, but they don't actually show you how to do it. What you are going to see is as we go through this video, for most of these 10 income streams, I have already made full step-by-step tutorials that should be paid courses, but I've posted them on my YouTube channel totally for free. So, as you go through this video, if you see any of these income streams that you're interested in starting, check the videos description below because you will find full step-by-step tutorials to get started.
Now, the last thing that I want to say before we get into this video is why I'm making a video like this in the first place, sharing all of my personal income streams. Well, for those of you who have been following my journey for a while, I've been at this for about 10 years, and like I said, these 10 income streams have generated just about a million dollars last year in profit, and altogether, almost $5 million in profit. This has brought me to a point in my life where I'm getting so much more fulfillment from helping you guys get started on this journey and sharing all this information for free instead of charging a ton of money for it in courses.
With that being said, I hope you guys take advantage of all these free tutorials instead of having to pay for it from other people. And if you do enjoy this type of content, please just give this video a thumbs up and let me know down in the comments. All right, without further ado, let's go ahead and get straight into this video.
So getting into this, where creating all these income streams started was not just me waking up one day and saying, "I want to create a bunch of income streams. " It was actually me about 18 years old and I got fired from my first job. Nothing against the company, but the company was making business decisions and they did somewhat of a mass layoff.
I was just part of that layoff. Previously, I had though that you had to do something wrong in your job in order to get fired. I didn't realize that you could be laid off just because the company is making a business decision.
This kind of set me into panic. I ended up getting a part-time job, and while I had that part-time job to pay my bills, I went down the rabbit hole of how do I create my own income, how can I work for myself, and not be just randomly fired from a job in the future? So with that being said, I was trying all the popular make money online businesses, and the first one that actually worked for me is my first income stream I will share with you, and that built the foundation for all of the other income streams we'll talk about today.
So, switching you over to the computer, where this income stream is is on Amazon. And to show you an example of it, if you search for a funny fishing shirt or a different type of shirt, it could be any niche, I'm just using this as an example, you're going to see a lot of shirts that are kind of like this. They're like joking shirts, "fishing solves half my problems hunting solves the rest" "sorry can't talk I'm on my other line" What I did not realize is that most of these shirts are being sold with print on demand.
So, essentially what this business model is, and I'll click on one of these to show you, is you'll see this little label right here, Amazon Merch On Demand. That means that that's Amazon's Print on Demand department. And essentially as a print on demand seller, we just create this logo or this design.
We upload it to Amazon. Amazon creates a virtual listing that looks just like this where someone can come in, they can see what that looks like. They can actually pick what color shirt they want to have that printed on.
They can then pick what style of shirt they want that printed on, and then what size, and they can literally add it to their cart and purchase it. And then Amazon receives that order, sends it to their T-shirt printing facility. They print that exact order, ship it out to the customer, and handle all the customer service.
Essentially, as orders come in, they are printed on demand and then Amazon handles everything from shipping that to the customer, customer service, and everything like that. We, as the print on demand seller, just get a split of the profit on each one of these sales. And our job is basically to create as many good designs as we can and get them uploaded to these marketplaces.
Now, when I say marketplaces, I'm talking about print on demand marketplaces. Amazon with Amazon Merch on Demand is the largest print on demand marketplace, but there are several other print on demand websites you can upload to as well. So finding out about this when I was working at my part-time job, I was creating designs and uploading them, and then after work, I would come home and see if I made any money.
And this was just passively earning money in the background. This was the first light bulb moment for me because I did not have to actively do anything. There were no ads, there was no marketing.
I would literally just create the designs and upload them, go to work, come home, and then see if I made any money. Now with that being said, that was many years ago, but print on demand is still working today. But the couple pieces of advice I would give you if you do want to get into this are, first, you need to have a T-shirt design tool.
This is the tool that I use for this. You can use any of them. Just make sure that they are copyright-free and commercially usable.
That is extremely important. But I just searched for fishing T-shirt design and you can look through all these. These are customizable T-shirt designs.
And I can actually give you an example. Let's click on one of these and this is truly how easy this is. So, let's say that you came across a phrase or you did some research, you come up with a phrase you wanted to use.
Let's just say we wanted to do, sorry, I already have plans. And you literally just type this into the template and it formats it and everything. As you can see, it's rounding it around, so you don't have to do any Photoshop or anything.
And then you can change the other text as well, but then you can come down to the graphics and you can select any of these graphics. They're pretty much pre-made for the template. So you just click them, it adds it into the template.
You can still modify anything if you want to, but this is a very quick way to make T-shirt designs. And everything here, like I said, is copyright-free and commercially usable. So, you can download this, upload it to the print on demand websites, and you can sell that without getting in trouble for selling someone else's design.
Now, the other really big piece of advice I can give you if you are thinking about getting into print on demand is to focus on sub-niches. If we go back to Amazon over here, this was a fishing and hunting specific shirt, but instead of creating fishing shirts, try to think of all the different types of fishing or different sub-niches and create shirts on those. So for example, there's flag fishing, there's deep-sea fishing, there's trout fishing, salmon fishing, river fishing, ice fishing.
The list goes on. There are so many different sub-niches within each niche. That's where I would be focusing on creating your designs.
Now, with all that being said, this is one of those that I have a full step-by-step tutorial that walks you through all of this that I'm explaining to you. So if you're interested, the link to that will be down in the description below. But let's go ahead and move on to the next income stream.
All right, so getting into the second income stream, this is actually a perfect time to talk about something in between the first and second income stream. Really big piece of advice I can give you after spending all these years building these 10 income streams is that I have been most successful when I focused on just one income stream at a time. There were many times throughout these years that I though I could build two or three of these at a time, and almost every single time it just kind of fell apart.
I was super inefficient. I lost focus on what I was working on, and I just had the best results when I was just building one of these at a time. And then once it reached a level of income that I was happy with, I then started focusing on another one and basically stacking that on top of it.
This strategy of building one of these at a time has definitely worked the best for me, and that's the advice I would give you if you were considering any of these income streams. So anyways, getting back to the second income stream, this is something that I never thought that I would do, but actually stemmed from a suggestion from a friend and it turned out to be very profitable. So what this was is when I started making money from print on demand T-shirts, I was kind of just telling everyone.
It was crazy. I'd never heard of anyone making money like this before, especially just passive income online. And then as a result, everyone was asking, "How do you do it?
" So, I was showing people on my computer one at a time. Well, my friend suggested, why don't you record all this on the computer and then you can just send it to people. You don't have to go through explaining it every single time.
So this is where I was introduced to a website called Udemy. And Udemy is basically like a YouTube and an Amazon combined. It's where you can create kind of extended YouTube tutorials broken down into chapters, and then Udemy will sell that on this kind of like a marketplace website.
So, as you can see, this is just an example of E-commerce courses, but if I go all the way up top here, you can go to Explore. There's literally types of courses on all different topics. It's not just business.
So this is where I recorded my first tutorial on how to sell T-shirts, uploaded it to Udemy, and I believe, I don't know the exact number, but I believe it was $500 in profit in the first month. Now, to actually show you this, let me go to my Udemy profile. This is my Udemy profile as an instructor right here.
And when you scroll down, you will see that I now have 27 courses. All of these courses were made several years ago and they haven't been touched since, and they just kind of passively earn income. Now, these are the most recent courses here, but I'll scroll all the way down.
Let's go to the first courses uploaded. This was the time that I was uploading courses on creating T-shirts, and these are all those courses right here. So, that was the first one right here, and then chronological order of the next courses that I made.
And you can actually see that these courses right here are listed as free. They're not even paid anymore. I'll talk about in the next income stream why these are free, and you'll probably get a good laugh out of that.
But as time went on and I learned more things, I started to create courses on them. If you have any interest at all in creating a course and uploading it to Udemy, the couple pieces of advice I would give you is that, first, think about your passions, hobbies, and career. If there is anything specifically in there that you think you could come up with a curriculum and put together a course and upload it to Udemy, I highly recommend doing it.
With this rise of artificial intelligence, it seems like there is a really big trend of people wanting to learn from other people. They want to learn from their real experience. Now, the second thing I'll tell you is that Udemy does all the marketing, the sales, the advertising, everything for you.
So even if you're thinking about creating a very niche specific course, Udemy will take care of all the marketing to put that in front of people interested in that very specific niche. Just to show you an example here, these couple courses here are on real estate photography, drone photography for real estate. These are very specific things, but if you click on this one, for example, Udemy has matched this up and got over 5,000 people enrolled in this course.
Guys, you don't need any audience or anything. You're not doing any sales. Literally upload it to Udemy and let them do everything else.
All right, so those are the first two income streams. As always, if you have any questions so far, let me know down in the comments, but let's get into the third one. So the third income stream was a very natural and easy progression coming from Udemy.
And what that is, I'll switch you over to the computer, is starting this YouTube channel. So, I've gone to videos and sorted it by oldest videos, so we're looking nine years ago, and these are all T-shirt specific tutorials. So instead of a full course on Udemy, these are like specific chapters or lessons, four-minute video, one-minute video, seven minutes, and as you can see, that's what all these videos were.
What I learned is that if you have a YouTube channel, you can join what's called a YouTube AdSense, and then once you get a certain amount of subscribers and view time on your channel, you will start getting a split of what advertisers are paying to put that advertisement before your video. This created a total win-win. I could now create tutorials on selling T-shirts, but upload them to YouTube so that you guys could learn from them for free, and advertisers are paying me instead of you guys having to fork out the money to pay for it.
Now, remember I was just talking about on Udemy, why these couple courses are free and not paid anymore? And that was because as I started releasing these videos for free on YouTube, people started to comment and say that I was only making these videos to try to promote my Udemy courses and make money there. So in response, just to put my money where my mouth was, I said, "Okay, well, I'll make every single course that is related to T-shirts entirely free.
" I don't know that this was the best financial move on my side, but I just wanted to prove a point that I was in this for the right reasons. Anyways, all these years later, I've just left all these as free. But guys, I've been giving you all the most recent and the best information on the YouTube channel for free, anyways, so maybe this was the best thing to do anyways.
Now, for you guys specifically, if you have any interest in creating a YouTube channel to make money from AdSense, my best advice for you is to create educational videos instead of creating entertainment videos. There are a whole host of reasons why educational videos are better. The main ones would be advertisers are paying a lot more for ads on educational videos, and these videos will organically get views.
They rank on Google, people are finding them through search, so you don't have to keep up with creating entertainment videos every week just to keep your view count up. Now, the last thing I'll say about creating a YouTube channel, just to show you an example here, is I've just searched how to back up a trailer. This is just a very general educational video, but you can see these videos have 400,000 views, 500,000 views, 500,000 views.
Some of these have millions of views, and this is just how to back up a trailer. So, think about knowledge that you have and other people would find that information valuable. Then, just create as many videos as you can, trying to cram as much of that helpful value into that video as possible and help people understand the concept you're trying to explain.
YouTube's algorithm will literally take care of the rest for you. All right, so those are the first three income streams. Getting into the fourth one, by this point in time, I was starting to make a lot more money than I was used to, so I needed a place to put that money.
From doing research, I was hearing that you should put that money in the stock market and all different things like that, but my personality is really not built for investing in the stock market. I would spend all of my time watching that money to see what's happening with it. So, what I did instead turned into my fourth income stream, and that was investing my money in a high-yield online savings account.
Now, I'm using an example of Capital One just because it's a very well-known bank, but there are tons of high-yield online savings accounts out there, and they basically are just a savings account for your money where all of that money is accessible to you, but you're getting a much higher interest rate on your money compared to a standard bank's savings account. Now, there's really not much to talk about on this one, but as you start to build up money from all these other income streams, I recommend putting it in a high-yield online savings account. That way, you're still going to get paid every month interest on that money, but it is not going to fluctuate like it would in the stock market.
All right, so just like that, that brings us into the next income stream. And I basically had all these other income streams just running in the background, and I was ready to add something to the mix. So, after trying more business ideas and shutting down some of these because they just weren't working how I wanted them to, I came across creating niche-specific affiliate marketing websites.
So, this is one of my websites right here. I've never actually shown this publicly, but I want to give you guys as much value in this video as possible. But basically how this works is you write articles answering questions.
So again, we're creating educational content, and the idea is that all these articles that are answering questions will show up on Google and other search engines when people are searching for them. And then when someone comes in and reads one of our articles, we can then put our affiliate link to specific products if it is helpful in that article. So for instance, this article is talking about how to clean these seats in a Tesla.
If you are reading this article, it says that you should use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the seats, and here are some good options. So if you click on one of these, it will take you over to Amazon where you can purchase these specific cloths. But now this is on my affiliate link to Amazon.
So, anything purchased in the next 24 hours, I'll get a commission on. Now, for those of you who are brand new to affiliate marketing, especially with Amazon, the way this is done is with Amazon Associates. You can join this totally for free.
And basically, once you sign up, you can then get custom affiliate links to any products on Amazon, and you can put them in your articles, you can share them with people, and if anyone clicks that link and then makes a purchase, you will get a commission on that purchase. So anyways, that was my next income stream. And as you can see, if we go back to the homepage here, I tried to grow this as big as possible.
There are over a hundred pages of articles here, and this was not my only website. I have several other of these niche-specific affiliate marketing websites with probably the same amount of articles on them, all just getting people coming from Google and other search engines, clicking on those articles, coming through, reading them, and then potentially clicking those products and making purchases from Amazon. Now, if you are at all interested in creating niche-specific affiliate marketing websites, I do have a full step-by-step tutorial on this one, but I will kind of caution you on this one.
With the rise of artificial intelligence, there has been a massive flood of people using AI to write articles and create websites like this. So, I've seen from my own numbers and heard from a lot of other people that these are less and less effective because you're competing with so many of these AI written articles. I just don't know where the future of these articles is going to go.
I don't know if Google is going to filter out all the low-content AI stuff, and these handwritten articles will come back up. So, I would just give you some caution. If you do want a full tutorial, it's down in the description below, but I think there's other better options that you can do for creating income streams nowadays.
All right, so with all that being said, after creating multiple of these niche-specific websites and spending a lot of time growing all of them, I then had the idea of, "I wonder if I can take those articles and make them into YouTube videos. " So, this is what brought me into my next income stream. Again, I haven't shown this publicly on the YouTube channel before, but this is another niche-specific YouTube channel that I own.
This is one of them. Like I said, there's many other ones for the websites as well. And basically what I did is took the ideas from the articles from the websites and tried to record them into a video and post them on YouTube channels.
Now, something super important here is the idea with these channels is a little bit different than creating videos and trying to earn AdSense from the advertisers. Like I briefly mentioned before, when you are starting a brand new YouTube channel, you are not going to qualify for AdSense until you reach a certain amount of subscribers and watch time on that channel. But what you can do is I'm going to go back to the oldest video here.
Six years ago, I was creating a video reviewing specific flash drives for Teslas. So, let me click on this real quick. Back about six years ago, if you had a Tesla, you literally had to buy a flash drive and plug that into your Tesla in order to record and store all of the security footage that that car is recording.
So, what I did was created a video comparing multiple of these flash drives, and then in the videos description was I put my affiliate link. So, it is the same concept as someone reading that on the website and clicking the link, but instead they're watching the video, clicking the link, and then anything they buy in the next 24 hours, I would get a commission on. Now, if this does sound at all interesting to you, the best advice I would give you here is that what's cool is you can be monetized from day one.
You create a brand new YouTube channel, you create videos. If anyone clicks your links and makes a purchase, you can start earning money. You don't have to wait until you get monetized from YouTube.
Now, the second thing I would tell you is to make sure that you are creating educational videos or videos that answer specific questions. The reason for this is that if someone goes to Google and searches for a question that you have a video on, Google has been loving showing videos instead of blog articles. So, I know I'm saying this in passing, but if you are going to create a channel like this, I highly recommend answering questions or creating educational videos because you can then get organic traffic or people watching your videos without having a subscriber base.
All right, so keeping this video moving along, at this point, I basically had six income streams and I was making great money and I could basically figure out what I wanted to work on next. So, when sitting with this idea, I was just kind of having this burning idea in my head that I had to create or I had to at least try. And what that was, was to create the most detailed level course that I've ever created to help someone just go from the idea of wanting to create one of these niche-specific YouTube channels to actually having a successful one up and running.
So, this is where I created my seventh income stream. What this is, is a YouTube Affiliate masterclass. I still sell this to date because it has so much good information in it.
I don't really promote this on the channel, so you're not going to see it. But what this is, is basically a very detailed handholding with so many resources, all the tricks and tips, everything I know about creating these YouTube niche-specific affiliate marketing channels. At this point in time, I had been spending so much time building my niche-specific affiliate marketing channels that it was just flooded in my brain and it really felt like I just needed to get it out there and put it into something that was really special.
So, anyways, that's how this course came to be. And if you are interested in creating a full-fledged, I would say high-ticket course, or something like this, the best advice I can give you here is that if you are anything like me and you genuinely like helping people, it is probably not going to be a good financial decision. There's kind of two reasons why here.
So, the first reason is for me to create a tutorial and post that on YouTube, or even a course to post on Udemy, just a shorter course, it takes me a couple days to a week to do so. To create this affiliate masterclass, I think it took me three months to create all this content and put it together in this course. And in addition to that, students who enroll in this course are paying several hundred dollars to get access to the content, so I just feel obligated to help and I end up overhelping and it doesn't work out to be financially a good move.
I really value having time and freedom to spend with my family, and not having a lot of drama or stress with work, but having a course like this where people have paid hundreds of dollars, I always feel like I need to help them out immediately because they've paid so much money, and that just doesn't really mesh with my lifestyle. So, keep that in mind if you are thinking about creating a high-ticket course, it is not going to be nearly as passive as a lot of people think it will be, and I think there are other better income streams out there. So anyways, going through this whole experience with this high-ticket course kind of brought me back to wanting more passive income streams, and that's what brings us into the eighth income stream in this video.
So in order for this to make sense, in that high-ticket course, I had several resources that I've created, and I just created one-off resources, things like, here's the best titles that have been working on my channels. Here are the best thumbnails that have been working on my channels. And these turned out to be really helpful resources.
Now, the idea that I wanted to try out to make this more passive is what if I can create those resources for my other income streams and just offer them as a digital download? So, this is when I created a digital download for print on demand T-shirts. Essentially, I had been in print on demand for so many years at this point that I knew exactly what to look for.
I just had kind of insider knowledge on the business, so I was able to put together a helpful resource that someone who is just starting out in the business would find a lot of value in. It would save them a lot of time and trial and error. What this is is the 10 best-selling T-shirt phrases for print on demand.
There is even another option to buy with a hundred of these phrases, but this is basically just time-saving for someone who's coming into the business. Now, although this has not been a massive income stream for me, I think if you are considering starting a passive income stream, this is a great option. Just make sure that you are focusing on something that is really valuable and will save someone time if they are trying to do the same thing that you've done.
Now, with that being said, if you are going to create your own digital product, you can either sell it on your own if you have any kind of audience that it would be relevant to, or you can list it on a marketplace. I can actually show you this here. So, this is a marketplace called Etsy.
It's kind of like an Amazon, but more for handmade goods, and you can sell digital downloads on here. Now, if you are going to list it on Etsy, just know there is a listing fee. I believe nowadays it is 20 cents per listing, and that renews every time that you get a sale.
But that is always an option if you're starting from scratch, you don't have an existing audience that would be interested in that product. All right, so at this point, having another passive income stream was very refreshing to me, and I wanted to stay on this passive income. It just works the best for my lifestyle.
So, the next passive income stream that I started is again over on Amazon, and what this is, is Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. You can basically create print on demand books instead of creating print-on-demand T-shirts. This is actually something that I started many years prior when I was doing print on demand T-shirts, but I didn't have much success with it until I tried a very different strategy more recently, and that is what I would recommend to you if you're considering starting this.
So basically, it works the same way. You come up with the idea for the book, you create the cover photo, and then what gets printed on each page, you upload all that to Amazon, Amazon creates these virtual listings, and then when any of Amazon shoppers find one of your books, click on it and want to purchase it, Amazon prints the book, ships it, handles all the customer service, and we just get a split of the profit. Now, if you are thinking about getting into Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, my best advice is to focus on low and medium content books.
These are books like these, so, a word search book, another couple options would be a crossword puzzle book, an activity book. Instead of writing full-fledged novels, I've just found that those are way harder to sell in my experience. But in the category of low and medium content books, you can do everything from just lined notebooks with a cool cover or something that's funny or something that's relevant to music manuscript paper or blank kitchen cookbooks.
There are so many different options. What I personally have had the best success with are puzzle books. Now, the reason for this is most people don't know how to create an activity book or a crossword book or a word search book, and then let alone have that be in a specific niche.
Guys, there is so much that I want to share with you about Amazon KDP, but this is not the video to do it all in. Just know that for creating puzzle books and low content books, there are tools you can use that have pre-made templates. You just insert the words.
They basically do everything else for you. And that is what I would recommend using to create all of these books. This is another one that I have a really good step-by-step tutorial on, walking you through my entire strategy for this.
I'll put a link to that down in the description below if you are interested. All right guys, just like that, we're on the 10th income stream. This is the one that I've started the most recently and I've had great success with.
I'll share that with you here in a second, but it is another passive income stream. So what this one is, is it takes place on Amazon, and you will see so many of these income streams take place on Amazon because that is a place online that people are spending the most money. There's a crazy amount of money that people are comfortable spending on Amazon, and there are so many different departments or different ways that we can make money from Amazon as a seller that most people just don't know about.
So what this one is, is if you're ever shopping on Amazon and you see a product, I'm just using a camping lantern as an idea, but let's click on one of these. When you are looking at this product as a buyer, they have all the photos on the left side, and then some of these have videos as well. So if you click on these videos, the first couple of videos that say Videos for this Product, those are actual videos from the seller of this product.
But then underneath that, it says Related Videos for this Product. These videos right here, not the customer review ones down here, but these ones in this section right here are called Amazon Influencer Videos. Basically, you can join the Amazon Influencer Program and then you can create review videos, just very short videos talking about your opinion of a product that you own.
You upload that to Amazon, and then you have the chance to be shown in this section on the Amazon Influencer videos. And if someone watches your video and then they go back and they purchase the product, you will get a commission on that sale. Just like we were talking about before with Amazon Associates where someone clicks your link and makes a purchase, you get a commission, the same thing happens here, but you don't have to create a YouTube channel.
You don't have to create a website to write blog articles. All of this happens on Amazon itself. So anyways, this is the income stream that I started most recently, just a couple months ago, and I'm currently working on building up.
Just to give you reference here, in the first month, I made about $70 in profit just by making review videos of products I have around the house. And then when I got a little bit smarter with this and found specifically which products to create videos on that I already owned around my house, that second month I made about $1,400 in profit. Now, as mentioned in the beginning of this video, I can't guarantee those kind of results for you guys, but to show you exactly what I did to find out which products to make videos about is if you are on your Amazon account, just your regular shopping account, you go to Returns & Orders, it will bring up all of the products that you've ordered on Amazon.
I then used a tool for this called ViralVue. You click on refresh. It is then going to scan all the items that you've ordered.
You can then click this and it will sort all of them in the best opportunity to create Amazon Influencer videos on. So for instance, this product is selling $75,000 in revenue every month, and there's only three competing Amazon Influencer videos. This one's selling $51,000 per month.
It only has three competing videos. $20,000, one competing video. So, you literally have next to no competition.
So if you create that video, your odds of showing up on that product page where people will just organically watch your videos and make purchases, the chance of that happening is extremely high. Anyways, this is another one that I have a really good step-by-step tutorial on. All of these step-by-step tutorials probably could be paid courses, but like I said, they're totally free here on the channel.
That tutorial will walk you through everything that I do for this business. So, if you are interested in starting it, I highly recommend checking that out. I don't think many people are willing to share all of this information openly and then create free step-by-step tutorials showing you how to do it. So, I genuinely hope that you guys take advantage of this information. And all I ask is if you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up.
If you have any questions, let me know in the comments below. And if you enjoy this type of content, also let me know down in the comments below. I appreciate that support as well.
Guys, that is going to be it for this video. I hope you've enjoyed it, and I'll plan to see you all in the next one.
