before we pray let's first take a moment to listen to God's word and then we'll pray together Matthew 28:6 says "He is not here for he is risen as he said." There is no message more life-giving more hopefilled and more powerful than this Jesus is alive The tomb is empty The grave has been silenced and with it every chain every curse and every shadow of death has been overcome God's love didn't stop at the edge of suffering It went through it God's love didn't recoil at the grave It entered the grave and then shattered it
from the inside out That's how far he was willing to go to reach you That's how deep his love runs Now close your eyes for a moment and think back to that dark Friday The cross stood tall against a gray sky The air hung heavy with sorrow The innocent son of God nailed between criminals Blood spilled The crowd quieted The earth trembled The sky turned black And then silence The kind of silence that breaks you But heaven was not finished The silence of Saturday was not the end of the story It was the breath before
resurrection It was the stillness before victory And it teaches us something Even when God seems quiet he is still moving Even when it looks like all hope is gone he is preparing to do something beyond what we could ever ask or imagine 3 days later everything changed The sealed stone was found rolled away Roman soldiers could not hold him Death could not bind him Hell could not keep him Jesus walked out alive in glory the conqueror of death itself And he did it just as he said he would My friend let this resurrection message become
personal to you today This isn't just history It's your story You see the resurrection is not only about Jesus defeating death It's about you receiving life And not just someday after you die No it begins right now because Jesus lives You can walk in freedom Your life is not meaningless Your death is not the end Your sin no longer defines you The weight you've carried the guilt the shame the mistakes the memories Jesus bore all of it on the cross He didn't just carry wood up the hill of Calvary He carried your past He carried
your failures And when he died those things died with him But when he rose he left it buried in that tomb You are not meant to live in regret You are not meant to be a prisoner of your past Through the resurrection of Christ you have been given a new beginning Romans 4:25 reminds us that he was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification Meaning when Jesus rose from the grave it was heaven's way of stamping your receipt and saying "Paid in full No more condemnation no more
shame only grace only freedom only hope So take a deep breath right now and let go of what you've been holding on to Let go of what God already buried Let go of the lie that says you're too broken The cross says you are forgiven The resurrection says you are free Jesus didn't leave anything unfinished He completed the work And now he invites you to live in grace Romans 8:1 says "The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you." That means the same spirit who breathed life into that cold tomb
the same power that reversed death itself that spirit lives in you So you are not weak you are not stuck you are not powerless you are alive in Christ and Christ is alive in you So the next time you feel too weak too tired or too discouraged remember the tombstone has already been rolled away Maybe today that grave looks like anxiety or depression or fear or grief or regret But Jesus is calling you out Just as he called Lazarus from the grave he is calling you to rise to step forward to shake off the grave
clothes of the past and walk in the light of his new life Resurrection means renewal It means transformation It means the end of the old and the beginning of the new My friend rise in faith This world is not your home And your final breath on this earth is not your final chapter Jesus broke the curse of death not just for himself but for you 1 Corinthians 15:55 triumphantly asks "Where O death is your victory where O death is your sting the grave has no claim on you anymore Because Jesus lives you live Because he
rose you rise Because he conquered you are more than a conqueror So today let your soul rejoice Celebrate that the tomb is empty Celebrate that death is defeated celebrate that Jesus is alive and so are you Now let's take a moment to pray together Dear Lord Jesus today I rejoice I stand in awe of your victory over the grave You Jesus defeated death completely and forever And you didn't do it for yourself You did it for me You rose so I could rise You stepped out of the tomb so I could step out of shame
out of fear out of the darkness that tried to claim me You rose so I could walk freely confidently in the light of grace Thank you for the cross Lord Thank you for the suffering for the thorns for the nails for the silence you endured Thank you for bearing my sin But even more thank you for the resurrection for rising again for not staying in the grave for proving that death is not the end of the story You got up just as you said you would And because you got up everything has changed Eternity shifted
Heaven rejoice Hope was reborn Because you live I don't have to be afraid not of death not of the future not of the wounds of my past because you live I don't have to carry shame I don't have to live bound by guilt I don't have to believe the lie that I'm too far gone or too broken to be loved You are my risen savior my redeemer my deliverer my forever king Jesus I declare it boldly today The same spirit that raised you from the dead lives in me And I want that truth to reach
deeper than my thoughts I want it to move past the surface and sink all the way down to the places I forget about The hidden parts the worn out parts the quiet corners of my heart that still need light Let the reality of the empty tomb fill my heart with joy Not just on Easter morning but every single day Let it chase away the shadows of doubt Let it silence every voice that says "I'm not enough." Let it replace despair with hope weakness with strength fear with faith Because you rose I rise I am not
who I was I am a new creation I am redeemed purchased by your blood I am forgiven washed clean by your mercy I am loved eternally completely without condition or end by you the risen king Jesus be alive in every part of me Be alive in my thoughts Renew my mind so that I no longer dwell on fear anxiety or condemnation but on your truth Be alive in my heart Teach me to love deeply to forgive fully to trust without reserve and to hope again when hope seems lost Be alive in my body Use my
hands to serve my feet to walk in obedience my voice to proclaim your goodness Strengthen me to do the work you've called me to do Be alive in my home Let peace dwell within these walls Let laughter echo and grace overflow Let your presence be the foundation we stand on Be alive in my family Mend what is broken Bless what is whole and draw every heart closer to you Be alive in my relationships Make me patient kind honest and selfless Help me to reflect you in every conversation every interaction Let your resurrection power flow into
every weary dry and forgotten place within me and bring it back to life When I forget who I am remind me of who you are When I drift lead me back not with shame but with mercy to the foot of the cross and the doorway of the empty tomb When I grow tired of the battle breathe new life into me through your spirit Teach me again that resurrection isn't just something to celebrate once a year It's something I'm called to live in every day A rhythm of death to self and life in you And one
day when my time here is done when I take my final breath may I do so with peace May I close my eyes in rest knowing that death has lost its sting That you have already passed through the grave and made a way for me to follow Because you live I too shall live forever and ever And until that day may I walk in resurrection power May I love like I've been raised May I serve like I've been saved May I live like the tomb is truly empty To you be the glory Lord Jesus forever
