yeah yeah yeah yeah it's too hot what's up socials welcome back to my channel I'm starting a new series today I'm very excited about it's called boss status powered by aweber and that's because aweber is the sponsor of this series what I want to talk about with you in this is all about how you connect with people to grow your brand grow your business grow the potential for where you want to go in life cuz we have to connect with people there's lots of different ways to do that obviously you guys know that because social
media is such a thing and so we're going to talk about all the different ways that you can do that today I was inspired by a question that I got in a survey that I do for my email subscribers who I call Amy's Elite somebody submitted a question that if they could ask me anything they would ask what would you tell a mom entrepreneur who's super busy and doesn't have time the three things that they should focus on in order to grow their brand so we're going to talk about the three C's that in my
opinion are the secret to business growth no matter what but especially if it seems like you don't have a lot of time first connections obviously we need to know people in order to do business there's lots of ways to do that you can get on social media and meet people all over the world but there's also personal connections that you need to make in other ways as well so not only do we need to have these social networks that are helping us amplify our message but we need to go to meetings with people have coffee
get on Skype send emails have an email list this is very important because the more you connect with people directly as direct as you can be the more you're going to be top of mind when they need somebody who might be doing what you do my favorite thing about this is that sometimes it's not even the thing that you do but because of the type of person that you are the type of value that you've presented and the way that you've connected people to each other in some capacity you're going to notice that your network
starts to come to you to ask you for pretty much anything I have people people asking me for business insurance recommendations or attorneys or graphic designers or videographers just anything you can think of just because they know that I'm pretty connected I know a lot of people and because I have introduced them to other people or let them know of all the cool people that I happen to meet and talk with and share their message they naturally want to come to me and say well do you know anyone in this area sometimes that thing is
going to be exactly what you do so awesome get that sale and make that a thing that happens for your business grow Revenue but in other cases when it's not this is a major opportunity you can now introduce someone to someone else maybe you end up helping somebody make money in the act and you are doing that favor for that person that they asked you for it sounds so simple but simply being a connector to people is a major major way to change how well you yourself are known as a brand as a business whatever
it is that you're shooting for I'll give you a great example as generous as you can be you should be I went to a conference last year that I spoke at I met an attendee who had found me on someone's podcast that person's podcast they're a huge fan of and they were like I'm hoping to be a guest on that podcast someday and I was like well let's make it happen I recorded a video with them right away and texted it to the guy that runs that podcast I said you got to get him on
your show and that's exactly what happened I didn't have to do that but it's no off my back I think it's absolutely fabulous when you connect people and say no you're already worthy of an opportunity like that because you're clearly working hard you clearly care and this is you'd be a great guest so let's make that happen just by doing that those two people know each other because of me and the more you do that you sort of become the epicenter of all of these people knowing each other and doing great business together and doing
great work together and that's not a bad place to be as a connector so making connections is so important and it's absolutely the biggest reason why I want to do this series and I'm hoping you guys will look forward to the rest of these make sure you give this video a really big thumbs up if you're already liking the way it's going so far so that I know we're on the right track Siri I wasn't talking to you thanks the next C is content you're fully aware of the fact that I'm very committed to making
videos here and the reason for that is not just because I like helping people but the more I show up here the more often I post videos the more likely you're going to remember me for what I do well and that's the goal we're trying to grow that brand awareness and content helps us scale that a little bit if I create something that's useful to one person here that one person might find it it's going to help them and then they might want to share it with the people they know or share it with somebody
that they know also struggles with a certain area or wants to be entertained in a certain way depending on what type of content that it is so while we might have to do a lot of work to build relationships with people oneon-one where we were talking about Connections you can build relationships a little bit more at scale or just more people with the same amount of time you might have spent on one person when you're creating content so that's a major opportunity you want to share what you know you want people to know what you
specialize and you don't want to hold that close to the vest because the more people have to guess what you do the less likely they're going to remember you for it much less come to you when they need it and not go searching someplace else for it speaking of search that's exactly why content comes into play because even if somebody doesn't know you they might discover you for what you do because of the content so whether it's video or Instagram photos or a Blog it doesn't matter what it is a podcast make content so people
know what you do even if you have to give away a lot of that information for free which I do with these videos and podcasts and blog posts all the time I'm giving away stuff I do that I get paid for for free in content because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten en 98% of my clientele without doing that even if somebody referred me a lot of times they use content to convince someone know here she is check her out she knows what she's talking about you don't want to lose the opportunity to have somebody advocate
for you easily because of a piece of content that you created and hopefully many consistency is key we know that the online world is getting very loud that's going to be the main area of content sharing that we spend our time on there could be other opportunities as well but this one is important you've got to show up often it's got to be great it's got to be great if you're great at what you do you'll be able to make great content about it so make sure you do that and do it consistently figure out
what your flow is figure out what that schedule is going to be and commit to it and increase it when it's time but recognize where you are and the context of that social network or that online video platform like YouTube or whatever and do it regularly the people who lose are the ones that stop the ones that give up because it's taking too long they're not getting the results they want to see rather than pivoting to try something new but don't go away because once you set the bar for the fact that you are a
reliable resource that shares valuable information with your content strategy you don't want to lose that you don't want to lose that reputation share a comment below if you're already doing this what kind of content are you creating leave that below so I can see are you podcasting are you making videos I hope you're making videos if you follow this channel but you could be doing a lot of other things Instagram stories anything else leave it below the third C for helping you with brand growth even when it feels like you don't have time is customer
service so you've got connections you're making connections with people you're making content and now hopefully you're getting business even if some of your first business isn't paid you still have to have the most Stellar customer service and I put this in the top three because it can be that word of mouth element that you need if someone's had a good experience with you whether they bought a product or a service or whatever it is you want them to go on to tell people about that when they are the connector in their world somebody asks them
who did you work with or who do you recommend or what do you think I should do you want them to say oh I worked with Amy and she was fabulous that comes from customer service my clients aren't going to recommend me to their friends and people in their industry if I didn't do Justice to them when they said I trust you I'm paying you I need you to help me with this if I wouldn't have done Justice by their project while working with them then you know what why am I even going to bother
to Market myself in the future anyway if I can't even get my own customers to say something nice about me customer service is a massive massive piece of this and it can also be tied into those other things I'll give you a really good example one of my clients that I helped with video in the past was a real estate agent and one of the biggest pieces of feedback that he gave me me was the element of customer service for himself that he was able to implement because of video he thought he was making videos
to Market his business but he actually ended up finding more opportunities to share those videos with current customers to answer the questions that they had but because he had put so much thought and energy into that video and it was so good he was able to send that to answer the question rather than fire off an email that might not have been his full thought process but trying to quickly take care of the customer that is great service that goes into your content strategy now your customer is like wow I could have just gotten a
two sentence answer but I fully understand because he'd already made a video about this and this is something I can rewatch if I feel like I'm still struggling with the answer to it customer service can come in a lot of different packages but it's very very important make good on what you say you're going to do and if it's not going to work out that's okay figure out how to make it right with them no matter what your customers coming back to you are going to be the best sale that you ever get but even
more so when they tell someone else about you and that person comes to you because you've been personally recommended by somebody who's already paid you those are my three C's that I believe are the secret to business growth and helping your brand get out there when it seems like you don't have a lot of extra time to do it which one was the one that you think you're strongest that I'd love to hear that in the comments as well and which one are you working on remember connections are at the heart of all of this
