1 Creative Thinking, Brainstorming Activity w/ We! Connect Cards

so we're going to play a little bit of conversation roulette conversation roulette so there are 20 of each color cards in this deck so uh I'm going to take only the green cards which are questions that are fun and light and I'm going to split them in half I'm going to put 10 on this stool I'm going to put 10 on this school and in a minute I'm going to um invite you guys to divide yourselves into two equal groups and circle around the stool all right and so the purpose of what we're about to

do um is not to share stories it's not to learn a lot about somebody it's about getting your brain flowing so getting ideas flowing so I might uh leave this activity before a brainstorming session where we're trying to generate a bunch of ideas one after another and I just just want to get that free flow um kind of going and so what's going to happen is in your circle all right as a group you're racing against each other to get through your deck as fast as possible all right so you're going to immed you're going

to pick up a card read the question out loud what is the strangest food you ever tried and answer it as quickly as you can with whatever comes to mind true or false so whatever comes to mind if a totally fabricated story comes to mind great share that all right this is about just immediately getting something off the tongue so on a spectrum of uh thinking and pondering and being really deliberate about what you're saying and just spitting out immediately and being impulsive we're on the impulsive side right now so uh inviting you in this

moment for this period of time to be impulsive okay go ahead and divide your C into groups and when I say the word that begins with a G and ends with an O we will start so you're going to go around in a circle so Carn to start will go next then Chris begin with a G and ends with an O gazebo technically durian uh Ms Cricket the rat burger what is something fine that someone else has done for you recently give me a hug what two animals have combined would be an awesome animal uh

a bird and a spider pause maybe one final round with Green cards that one blue card on this stool oh this ISL and I'm going to set this ISL one blue card on this stool when I say the word that begins with a G and ends with an O you need to do is is have somebody flip over the card and each person answer that question as quickly as possible when you've gone fully around the circle celebrate to make sure that we know that you completed the round completed the circle got what does the time

you learn something from failure uh my first boyfriend I oh um I fell hard uh losing back I launched my first products in a company and didn't have [Applause] any [Music] boom
