following squid Game season 2 being released and it leaving us on the biggest Cliffhanger that the show has ever had there's one question on all of our minds When will season 3 be released and as well as that the plot of the season and what story could be on the horizon is something that's also at the front of our minds too so with that I thought I'd take a look at all that was out there about the upcoming season and give my theories and predictions on what I think could happen next so let's get into
it here is squid Game season 3 theories explained and everything we know just to let you know this video will contain spoilers the release date in terms of the release date for season 3 of squid game the good news is there's definitely going to be a new season of the show Netflix usually looks at the performance of a show before greenlighting another season but due to the success of season 1 a season 2 and season 3 was announced immediately that's the good news the bad news is that season 3 of squid game is set to
be the final season in the show and it won't be returning after the creator of the show shared a message to fans when season 2 was confirmed and they said that season 3 was going to be the last installment so this news has come straight from the Creator and it's not just a rumor when it comes to the actual release date there is some good news around that because it's not looking like we're going to have to wait another 3 years to get the next chapter of the story this is because the third season of
the show has already been filmed and it's wrapped in terms of production so it's pretty much sitting there on the Shelf ready to go the creator of the show has also confirmed that they want season 3 to be released in as little as one year's time meaning that they wanted out on the platform at some point in 2025 the creator of the show apparently also alluded to the fact that this specific release date will be announced to us fans soon so we might not need to wait that long to be able to put the date
in our calendars when taking all of that into consideration I would predict that we're probably going to get the new season between October and December of 2025 squid game feels like a show that you sit indoors and watch when it's dark outside rather than in the peak of Summer it's a true binge worthy show and that's always best done in the late Autumn or early winter plus as well when you look at season 1 that came out in October and season 2 came out in December so I feel that will be a trend that follows
suit when the third season gets released the story of season 3 the second season of the show concluded with a massive clip hanger when we saw inho going back to being the frontman and killing Jang in front of guihan I think the story is going to pick up directly after where we left off when guihan was being taken back to the main room following his Uprising and Rebellion failing guihan is going to be feeling the guilt and weight of Jang being killed and this is because it was guan's idea to launch an attack on the
soldiers a couple of episodes back they previously had a heart-to- heart and made plans for when they got outside to get a drink together but now that's something that's obviously not going to happen and I think guihan is going to be mourning him and feeling the responsibility of it with many of the ex's being killed off in the battle and during the ambush in the night I believe the O's are going to get the majority vote the next day when it comes to deciding if they want the games to continue and they'll probably win and
progress forward with the following games there were six games that were included in the first season of the show that The Players had to go through in order to get the 45.6 billion one and we've only seen the players participate in three so far this means that we'll most likely see two more games being played before we get to see the ultimate game which is squid game in the finale that's if guihan doesn't manage to stop the games from carrying on though it seems like guihan is on a losing streak right now and he has
an uphill battle but I think the very thing that could change that could be Noel Soldier number 11 we know that she's got an ounce of humanity within her when compared to the other soldiers that work there as she doesn't want to let them sit through torture whilst their organs get harvested and it didn't seem like she killed player 246 during the season 2 finale due to the connection that she had at the start of the show with him because she knew that he had a sick daughter called naon so she could relate to him
because she was yearning to be with her own daughter and couldn't be so I feel we could end up seeing her switching sides because of that empathy that she has within her so that could become one of the biggest threats that the frontman and the other superiors in the game might not see coming I also think JN Hall will make his way to the island and that will pose another threat to the front map so he'll almost be fighting a battle on two fronts one on the inside with guihan the ex's and Noel and another
one with jall and his group of mercenaries that he's got on board with him I think janall will find out quite early on that the captain was a traitor and I think we'll see that the captain was told to monitor inho by the frontman as after all they are brothers I kind of hope we don't see the final game squid game happening because the stakes were so high in season 1 with it being guihan and sang Wu two former friends it's almost as if the stakes aren't high enough in this season for it to be
as powerful because the depth of relationships just aren't there plus if guihan is to be successful in taking down the games then he'd need to do it beforehand as all but two of the contestants would be dead by then as the final round only requires two people with the recruiter being killed at the beginning of season 2 and him being the sole person that gets the people into the games I think the games were already set to be destroyed and taken down from the moment that that happened I think the games will ultimately be destroyed
and guihan might even end up dying in order to make it happen showing that he was a transformed individual compared to when he first went into the games in season 1 just for the money that money didn't bring him happiness but he might find happiness in his final moments if it means that no more people that are suffering will get exploited manipulated and ultimately killed I would kind of like it if the show went down a darker route and made us spend three seasons watching guihan wanting to be victorious but then ultimately end up failing
and the games being something that gets carried on that would be dark the characters with regards to the cast I don't actually think there are going to be any real new characters introduced into the mix the difference in the cast between season 1 and season 2 was because there was a wide array of new players that were entering the games and pretty much all of the Season 1 characters ended up dying this won't be the case with season 3 season 3 is probably going to be a continuation of the current games that we saw take
place in season 2 so all of the players are characters that we already know the only new characters that I feel we could potentially be introduced to would be the likes of Noel's daughter if she made it to the South and considering that the officer said that he'd help find her if she was a committed Soldier we could see her location being shared with her as a way of getting her to stay on track and to not interfere with the organ harvesting operation but outside of that I can't really see any new characters coming into
the show because the story is continuing on from what we saw that means the likes of guihan inho is the frontman janho mangi Juni player 246 number 44 the captain wock the officer Deo player 388 naon hju player 120 Young siik and his mother gamja player 149 will likely be in season 3 as well as that the likes of numu minsu and player 100 will probably all be returning too with the recruiter losing the game he played against GE Han Jang being killed by the frontman semi being killed by numu yungi losing the mingle game
and Thanos being killed by mangi these are the main characters that we saw being killed off throughout season 2 and will most probably not be returning in the next season unfortunately for now that's all that's known about season 3 of squid game these are the biggest theories that I think relate to the upcoming story and I'm sure more information will be released as we draw closer to the release dates as the Creator said hopefully we'll hear the solid releas releas date soon so there you have it squid Game season 3 theories explained and everything we
