Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters. The God of glory thunderereth. The Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breakth the cedars. Yay, the Lord breakth the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Syrian like a young unicorn. The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the
Lord shaketh the wilderness. The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord maketh the hines to cave and discovereth the forests, and in his temple doth everyone speak of his glory. The Lord siteth upon the flood. Yay, the Lord siteth king forever. The Lord will give strength unto his people. The Lord will bless his people with peace. God is good >> all the time >> and all the time. >> God is good. Psalm 100 verse5, for the Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations. On the
authority of God's word, I say to you, happy Sabbath. >> Happy Sabbath. >> This is the day which the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. God made seven days. So when we say this is the day which the Lord hath made, he also made the other six, what we mean is this is the day which the Lord has blessed. >> Amen. >> That is what makes it special. Right now you are living in holy time. >> Amen. >> God didn't bless the trees or make the trees holy or the fish
or the birds or the dry land. He made time holy. >> Amen. So you and I are living in holy time. Every time the Sabbath comes, it brings blessings with it because it's a blessed day. I'm happy to see you. Thank God for preserving your lives and bringing you to his house of worship to listen to his plainly spoken word. In the interest of time, I will simply ask all guests just raise your hands. May I see you? Any visitors? Any guests? Just raise your hand. I won't trouble you to stand. God bless you. God
bless you. And those of you who are not 7 Adventists, may I see your hands as well? And you're visiting. You're not an Adventist. Well, okay. You're visiting. Okay. All God. What's your name? >> Scott. >> Scott. Hello, Scott. How are you? >> Good. How are you? >> You look like a big strong man. I'm fine. Who invited you, Scott? >> My lovely wife. >> Your lovely wife. The word lovely applies. Absolutely. Sister, lovely wife. Thank you for bringing your husband, Scott. May the Lord bless you. bless your family, provide your needs, and make you
a high priest in your family. Say amen for Scott. >> All right. And say amen for his wife who brought him. >> Anybody else? You're not the H. Hi. What's your name? >> Mona. >> Roda. Hello, Roda. How are you? >> Nice to see you. Where are you from? Philippines is a good place. I have been there, I believe, 19 times. >> Mhm. The Philippines is made up of more than 7,000 islands. As soon as I set up a GoFundMe account, I will buy one of those Philippine islands. Really, more than 7,000 islands. And they're
all lovely. God bless the Philippines. God bless every nation represented by those seated before me and those watching online. We welcome you and we thank you for your faithful attendance all during this week. Our subject for this morning or this afternoon, new wine in new bottles. What did I say? >> New wine in new bottles. I always ask you and you have cooperated brilliantly. If you're not using this as a phone, as a Bible, which it isn't, please turn it off. If you're using it, turn the sound down. I'm very old-fashioned. That's why I say
these things. What's in my right hand? What's in my left hand? >> Case closed. Okay. The second favor I ask of you is that you pray for me while I'm speaking. All I want you to say is, "Lord, put your words in that man's mouth." I say this all the time. And I want you to know I'm serious. Every time I make that request, I want God's words in my mouth. Jeremiah 1:9, "Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, "Behold, I have put my words in
thy mouth." And God knows he can read my mind. I want to speak his words. His words will change your lives. Favor number three. Think. Isaiah 1:18. Come now, let us do what? Reason together, say the Lord. Why do we do the things we do? Why do we not do the things we ought to do? Think why is my life going in this direction or that direction? Think in the thinking the Holy Ghost will direct your minds. >> Amen. >> Let's pray. Loving father in heaven, we witness the moving of your spirit in this place
this morning. >> Amen. Now, Father, all I ask is a little bit of that spirit to sustain me. >> Amen. >> As I try to represent you by the delivered word, if I've offended you today, God, forgive me with the blood of Christ. I ask you, Father, to possess me, mind, body, soul, all that makes me who I am, possess. Use me, dear God. Let my voice be your voice, my hands yours, my feet yours. Bless everyone who has come to this place and those watching online. Father, you're a God who are close. Let them
sense your presence. >> Amen. >> Post mighty angels around us that they may protect us from the interference of the enemy. >> That the truth may go forward unhindered. I always ask you to bless this country of the United States. We have a significant event coming up dear God in two days. Take control of that father according to your will please because we do not know what the future holds. I also ask you to bless all countries represented by those watching >> now dear God place your hand on the sick. Give them relief. Father put
a sweet blessing on all the children and a special blessing on all our guests. Thank you for the high honor of speaking for you. Help me to do it well. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen. >> Amen. >> Go with me to Revelation chapter 21, the last book of the Bible. Revelation 21. We'll read from verse one. Revelation 21. Reading from verse one. What's our subject? New wine in new bottles. It is now 25 after 12. I'll release you by 1:15. So that's about 50 minutes. I'll try to cut it short if
the spirit tells me to. What book did I say? >> What chapter? >> Reading from what verse? Read with me if you have my version. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. Now there's a key word which is connected to our subject. What's that key word? >> New. I saw a new heaven and a new earth. Different from the old because one day the new he the old heaven and the old earth shall pass away. And
I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Now read through with me. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall do what? Wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for
the former things have passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, "What? Behold, I make all things new." And he said unto me, "What?" Right? Why? For these words are true and faithful, meaning you can take these words where? To the bank. There is a new world coming. There is a new heaven coming. >> Amen. >> What I'm saying to you may go into one ear and exit the same one. >> Not pass through. Exit the same one. Because we're so surrounded by materialism and the things of this world and surviving, we have
little time to consider that Christ is coming back to make a brand new world and a brand new heaven. >> Let's skip one chapter further. Revelation 22, we'll read from verse one. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. Are you there? Read with me. And he showed me a what? Pure river of water of life, clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of the Lamb of God and of the Lamb. Keep reading. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river was there the tree of life, which bear
12 manner of fruits, and yielded a fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Now carefully, verse three. And they shall be no more cursed. For the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him. Verse four, carefully. And they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their foreheads. Five, what does that say? >> And there shall be no night there, and they need what? No candle, neither the light of the sun. Why? For the Lord God
giveth them light. Finish the verse. and they shall reign forever and ever. I want you to observe something. Verse 4 of Revelation 22 tells us, "They shall see his face." >> Amen. >> In Exodus chapter 33, don't go there. It's all right. Moses said to God, "I beseech thee, show me thy glory. I want to see you your face." God told him in verse 19 and the last verse of that chapter, there shall no man see me and live. But the Bible tells us clearly that in this new world we will see his face >>
and his name shall be in our foreheads. >> The symbolic meaning is his character will be the source from which we think, act and be and speak. >> Amen. >> Are you with me? The name of God is the character of God. You see, it's in the frontal lobe. This is where we make decisions. And in this new world, all our decisions will issue from God's character in our minds. >> But to fit into that new world, finish my words. >> Think of the word new. To fit into that new world, we have to be
new people. Who makes the new world? >> Who makes the new heavens? >> Who makes the new people? Christ. Not you. You and I cannot make ourselves new. That process can only be accomplished by divine power. >> Amen. >> That's why it is useless to argue with your children to be right. You instruct them, but only the power of God can change them. Amen. >> It is useless to nag your husband to come to church. Only the power of God can change him or change her. >> When we try to do the work of the
spirit, we run into deep and endless frustration. >> Amen. >> New wine in new bottles. Now let us go to 1 Corinthians 5. We read 67 and 8. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. 1 Corinthians 5 6 7 and 8. >> Amen. >> Those online I hope you're still with us. When you found it, say amen. >> Amen. >> Your glorying. Do you have verse six? >> Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leavenveneth the whole lump? Let me pause on that. In the Bible, leaven is almost always used
negatively. Almost. It is used positively in Matthew 13 when Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until the whole was leavened." No. But usually it is used negatively. In the feast of unleaven bread, leaven was supposed to remove from the houses of God's people, representing the removal of sin. Now Paul tells us, "Know ye not that a little leaven leavenventh what?" The whole lump. A little sin does not simply affect your elbow. >> Amen. >> Or your appetite. One little sin affects
your entire character. Leaven is sin. And so the Bible warns us, a little leaven leavenveneth the whole lump. In other words, if you allow that sin to stay in your life, it will contaminate the entire lump of your life. Notice the words of Christ. A little leaven, and we'll get to that in a minute, a little leaven, and those of you who bake, this is the dough. This is the leaven. And the entire lump swells and rises. Not simply once the leaven gets in, it affects everything. Let me tell you uh point you to the
first example of that. Adam sin was a little leaven and God put him out. One sin and what did he do? What vegetarians do? He consumed the fruit. But God had said, "Don't eat it." One mistake and this world has been suffering for 6,000 years. One wrong choice and your life can be miserable until God mercifully puts you in the grave. Abraham, after he got involved with Hagar, at his wife's suggestion, did you hear what I said? At his wife's suggestion, there was trouble in the household for the rest of his life. And that trouble
continues today. The descendants of Isaac and the descendants of Ishmael or the Jews and the Arabs, one little lev. Let's go back to 1 Corinthians 5 where we never left it. Know ye not that a little leaven leavenven of the holy lump? Now read verse seven with me. What does that say? Purge out therefore what? The old leaven. Stop. What does purge mean? >> Cleanse. Get out. Remove. Because it's not good. Purge out therefore the old leaven that ye may be what? A new lump as ye are unleavened. Finish a verse. For even Christ our
Passover is sacrificed for us. The Holy Ghost tells Paul to tell us, "Get rid of the leaven from your life." Microscopically, we read verse eight. What does that say? Therefore, let us keep the feast. How? Not with leaven, neither with what? The leaven of malice. And now leaven refers to malice and wickedness. Wickedness covers the whole spectrum. all sins. Levan symbolizes wickedness, sin, malice. By the way, if you have malice towards another member, purge out that leaven. >> The person may end up in the kingdom and your malice will take you to hell. >> Hating
people does us no benefit. >> Are you with me? You hurt yourself by hating the person and then you hurt yourself by being lost and the person you hated is in the kingdom with Christ. Hating people makes no sense. But let's look at 11 again. Let's go to Matthew 16. We read from verse 5. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. Matthew 16, we read from verse 5. When you found that, say amen. >> And when his disciples, read with me, were come to the other side, they what? >> They had forgotten to take bread.
It's an amazing thing. The disciples almost never understood what Jesus was saying. Although sometimes he repeated, repeated, repeated, they just never got it. >> His family didn't get it either, by the way. So if you're the only Christian in your home and your family cannot understand, take heart. Jesus understands your position because he was in the same condition. His family didn't understand. The disciples didn't understand. They had forgotten to take bread. Verse six, then said Jesus unto them, take heed and beware of what? The leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Take heed. What
does that mean? Be careful. >> When you see a sign, beware of the dog. What do you do? You avoid that area. Are you with me? >> Jesus says, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the s take heed and beware." He doubles up. Take heed and beware. But what is the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees? Verse seven. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have taken no bread." They thought he was referring to bread. They didn't understand. Then he explained to them, "No, it's not bread because I
fed the 5,000 and the 4,000." Now skip to verse 12. Read with me. Then understood they how that he bathe them not. Beware of the leaven of bread. Finish the verse. But of the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Now, quiz question for you. We discovered that leaven can refer to malice and wickedness based on what we just read. What else does Levan refer to? >> False doctrine. >> Amen. >> Jesus said in verse six, "Beware, take heed and beware of the 11 of the scribes of the Pharisees and Sadducees." He had to explain
to them in verse 12, "I'm referring to their doctrines." You may worship God as sincerely as you like. If it is unbiblical, it cuts no ice with God. I told you a few nights ago, sincerity is not enough. Let us go back to 1 Corinthians chapter 5 and let's read verse eight. We never finished it. Verse eight. Therefore, let us keep the feast. You haven't found it yet. Okay, I'll wait for you. 5 seconds. They're passing quickly. Do you have it now? >> Read with me nice and clear. Therefore, let us keep the feast, not
with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness. Finish the verse. But with the >> with the what? unleaven bread of and mhm sincerity must be union with a com combined with truth and the bible calls it unleaven bread which means there's no what in it no sin if leaven is sin and you have unleavened bread that's sinless bread truth is sinless bread >> not error error is leavened bread filled with sin And so Jesus says, "Keep the feast, not with the leavenven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity
and truth." >> Jesus warned the disciples in Matthew 16:12, "Beware of the doctrines of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Are you worshiping God? And don't answer me in spirit and in truth. Are you practicing your spiritual life based on a custom, a tradition, a family habit, or is it based on thus sayith the Lord? Let me run the risk of offending somebody here online, but I must. I may never see you again. >> Do you know Sunday is not the Sabbath? Do >> you know it has never been the Sabbath >> and never will be?
>> Let me go with me to Genesis chapter 2. Has someone said, "Lord, put your words in that man's mouth yet?" Nobody. Yeah. Let me see your hand if you ah thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I mean that genuinely. The rest of you hurry up and pray for me. Genesis 2, let's read from verse one. Father in heaven, as I continue, please be with me, dear God. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen. >> When you found it, say amen. >> Verse one, Genesis 2. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished,
and all the host of them. Now, and on the seventh day, now this is before sin. Are you with me? This is before sin. And on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made. And he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Now look at the end of verse 5. What does verse 5 say of Genesis 1? Look at verse 5 of Genesis
chapter 1. What does that say? >> And the evening. Come on. The last part of Genesis 1:5. What does it say? >> And the evening and the morning were the >> Look at the last part of verse 8. What does that say? And evening and the morning. Come on. >> We're the second day. Look at the last part of verse 13. And evening and the morning were the third day. Look at the last part of verse 19. And the evening and the morning with the fourth day. Look at the last part of verse 23. And
the evening and the morning with the fifth day. Look at the last part of verse 25. And the evening and the morning with the sixth day. So we have first day, second day, third day, fourth day, fifth day, sixth day. But chapter 2:es 2 and three tell us he blessed which one? The seventh day. Yes, >> we have first day, second day, third day, all the way down deliberately listed including seventh day. He blessed one. >> Now go to numbers chapter 23. Let's read verse 19. Numbers book number 4 23. Let's read verse 19 and
20. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. Numbers 23 19 and 20. When you found it, say amen. >> All right. Some of you still looking. I can hear the pages, which is a nice sound to hear in the church. The pages of the Bible turning, >> not a phone ringing. >> Are you there now? >> Read with me. What does it say? God is not a man that he should lie. What does that say about us? We lie. Don't say amen, but we lie. God is not a man that he should lie, neither the
son of man that he should repent. Keep reading. Hath he said and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good? Now nice and clear and microscopically read verse 20. What does that say? >> Behold, I have what? Received commandment to >> keep reading. He have blessed and I cannot reverse it. Amen. >> What God blesses, no human being can unbless. >> So I don't know who said or who claimed to take the holiness from the seventh day and put it on the first or the third or the
fifth. The Bible is clear. He has blessed. I a prophet cannot reverse it. By the way, when God puts a curse on you, finish my words. Listen to me. You need to think. When God blesses something, no one can reverse it. Now, when God curses something, >> no one can reverse that. So, make sure what he puts on you is a blessing. >> And the foundation of blessings, give me that one word, obedience. Let's get back to Levan. It means malice, wickedness, false doctrine. Let me uh place an idea in your mind. The first commandment
says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." The second commandment says, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them." Now, let's stop halfway in that commandment. Nothing should come ahead of God. We should not worship idols. But an idol is not simply something made of wood or stone. An idol is something that you place ahead of God. That
could include a false doctrine because you choosing error ahead of God. A graven image can be a false doctrine because it occupies your attention that God should have. >> Are you following me? >> Now, I'm referring to those who know and still continue to do what's wrong. That erroneous path is an idol. It takes a place of preeminence above God. So if you know the seventh day is the Sabbath, you keep the first, that error is your God. That's an image and people worship it thinking they're worshiping God. Remember the Israelites made a golden calf.
Exodus 33. And in verse 6, Exodus 32, sorry. And in verse 5, the Bible says, "And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made proclamation and said, "Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord." And I told you that before Aaron dedicated the violation of commandment to God, not realizing he was dedicating it to whom? >> Satan. Don't hesitate. Satan. When you worship an image, you're actually worshiping Satan. >> What's our subject? >> New wine in your bottles. The new wine is the new person that must be prepared to fit into
the new heaven and the new earth. Now, we read in Revelation 22:3, "There shall be no more curse." Why? because there shall be no more what? Sin. Sin isn't removed from us when we get to the new world. You cannot enter that new world with sin. Sin must be removed before we enter the new world. During the COVID crisis, you know, the television screens were filled with reporting about the this crisis and you'd see people in hospitals trying before entering certain wards. They would all be covered up completely. Are you following me? to protect themselves.
Covered. You and I must be covered in the blood of Christ completely. >> Now, protected from the virus of sin before we enter that new world >> and that new heaven. We must be new wine in new bottles. But I want to direct your mind to a tragedy. And I use the word tragedy because the longer someone does what's wrong, the more difficult it is to stop. >> That is why we need to appreciate it when God brings truth to us at an early stage in our lives. The longer a person does anything, the more
difficult it is to stop. Go to Luke chapter 5. Let me show you what I mean. It is uh 10 minutes to what? 1, you have Luke 5. We'll read from verse 37 and we'll go all the way to 39. Our subject, new wine in new bottles, new people for the new earth. Luke 5 37-39. Do we have that? >> Read with me nice and clear. And no man putteth new wine, come on, into old bottles. Else the new wine will burst the bottles and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must
be put into what? New bottles, and both are preserved. New wine in an old bottle causes problems. New wine must go into new bottles. Now, carefully read verse 39 and try not to cry. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new. Finish the verse. For he saith. >> Mhm. There are people holding on to wrong doctrines simply because they have held it for a long time. >> I'm comfortable with this error. My family did it. My grandparents did it. My great-grandparents did it. All my family members all the way back to the slave
ship, so I'll do it. Look at that verse again. Does it apply to you? And no, no man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new. It is not easy to present truth to people. For he saith, the old is better. There's something called recidivism. Fancy word, recidivism. It applies to people in prisons. Someone stays in prison long enough. You let him out. Shortly after, what happens? He goes right back in >> because he's been there so long. That's all he knows. No, this is no joke. >> Rates of recidivism are high. They deliberately get
into trouble to go back to an environment with which they're familiar. It happens in churches. >> Recidivism. When someone comes to Christ and does not make this now the priority, ultimately the person goes back because this is the power that keeps them out of spiritual prison. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw a holy city. In order to live in a holy city, describe the inhabitants. They have to be holy. To live
in a new world, you have to be new. Revelation 22:4, they shall see his face. Why is it we cannot see God's face? Now Isaiah 59:es 1 and 2, behold the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither his ear heavy that he cannot hear, but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins hath hid his face from you that he will not hear. If that's the case, and Revelation 22:4 tells us we'll see his face, something has to go. What's that? sin. But here's the challenge God has. Go
to Amos chapter 3. Amos 3. As we continue, new wine in new bottles. Amos 3. One of the small uh prophets. They're called the minor prophets. Not because the message is minor, but because the books are small, very few chapters. But every book of the Bible is major. >> Including Jude which has one chapter or third John one chapter, 2 John 1 chapter, Phileiman one chapter. They're all major because they're all inspired by God. Say amen for that. Mhm. All right. Do you have what book did I say? >> Amos 3. Read verse three for
me carefully. What does that say? >> Can two walk together except they be agreed? That's enough. >> [snorts] >> Can two walk together except they be agreed? By the way, if you're in a courtship, make sure you and the person are walking in the same direction with respect to religion, finance, children, education, lifestyle, how you going to spend money, get all how often you'll be intimate. That's a problem. Are you listening to me? That can be a big problem. Make sure you are walking in the same direction. >> Amen. >> Marriage vows don't solve problems.
I have a saying. I'll give it to you now. I don't mean to digress, but I'll tell you. Marriage reveals what courtship conceals. Are you not listening? Marriage reveals what courtship conceals. In courtship, you want your best behavior. Are you following me? You're your P's and Q's. Now that you're married, nah, good behavior. Forget that. I can be me. And then someone is shocked. Who is this man? That's not the man I quoted. Or this is not the woman. Make sure you are walking in the same direction in every major area of life. You may
walk in different directions about the color of the curtains. Fine. But not religion. Should we have children? >> How many? Where should we live? Are you listening to me? >> Now, let's make it spiritual. Now, can two walk together except they be agreed? Now, who are the two? God and you. >> Listen to John 14:6. Let me pray again. Father, slow me down. Restrain me, please, for your glory. Forgive me. I get too excited now. Let the spirit really control me, dear God. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen. >> John 14:6, say
it without looking. I am the way, the truth, and the life. He says, I am the what? The way. Let's stop there. The way. In other words, a path that you travel on. Now, if he's the way and I have to walk with him, I have to walk in his way. But the Bible also says there's a way that seemth right unto a man, but the end thereof, come on, are the ways of death. How many ways do we have two? Your way and his. >> Amen. >> Yes, sir. >> Here's his, here's yours, and
here's Amos 3:3. Can two walk together except they be agreed? Now, let's look at agree. In order for the two to agree, you and God, let's look at God. Psalm 145:17, "The Lord is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works." In other words, to put this in North Brook, is this where we are? Northbrook English. God cannot do anything wrong. Now, listen to us. There's none that doeth good. [laughter] No human being naturally does what's right. Here's what we have. Here's God. He cannot do wrong. Here am I. I specialize in
doing wrong. >> And I want to walk with him and he wants to walk with me. >> Somebody has to change. >> Either God starts to do wrong so he can walk with us. >> Are you with me? And that's not happening. Or we change to walk with him. Somebody say amen. Are you willing to change to walk with him? Yes or no? Yes. Because when you walk with God, you're walking straight into that new heaven and that new earth. >> What's our subject? >> New wine >> and new bottles. Let God make you a
new bottle. >> The Pharisees could not tolerate Christ. Generally, most of them, I should say a few followed him. most of them because they were not willing to receive to make the changes to receive the new wine of his teachings. They wanted to remain what they were and so his teachings were to them an irritation. They wanted to remain old bottles and so Christ's new wine could not fit in them. Jesus Christ wants you in his kingdom with him. This is no joke. Let me show you how personal he is about that. Go to 1
Thessalonians, no, Matthew, uh, Luke 24. Luke 24. Let me show you how personal and serious Christ is about wanting you to walk with him right into the kingdom. And by the way, if you die tonight, Christ has come for you. Are you with me? >> All second chances are gone, probation is closed, you're dead. The next thing you hear will be all the sound of the angels. Assuming you come up in the first resurrection, the Bible says there two. >> If you come up in the second, >> come up in the first. >> Amen. >>
What book did I say? Luke, what chapter 24? Let's read from verse 36. It is now uh 10 minutes. No, what time is it? >> 1:00. All right. Luke 24:36. When you found it, say amen. Read with me. And as they thus speak, keep reading. Jesus. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Jesus himself. In the Greek, that's called the emphatic, the intensive. Jesus himself. Not just Jesus. We're referring to the Jesus who's the son of God. Because in those days and even today, today there are many men called Jesus. It is spelled J E S U S.
Jesus. But in English is Jesus. In the in the New Testament, there were other men called Jesus. Just look up the word Jesus in a in a concordance. There were other people called Jesus. This is Jesus himself, the son of God. Stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, peace be unto you. But they were terrified and afrighted and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, verse 38, "Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your heart? Behold my hands and my feet. Read on. It is
I myself. Intensive again. Make no mistake. This is not a ghost. This is not the angel Gabriel. This is me. I came from the dead. It is I myself. Then he tells them, "Handle me and see. Satisfy yourself." So we have I myself. Let's go to 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. We read verse 16. You know it very well. 1 Thessalonians 4. Reading verse 16. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. Hope my friends online are still with us. Do you have 1 Thessalonians 4, reading verse 16, read with me nice and clear. For the Lord
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. For the Lord himself, >> God isn't sending anyone to get you. He's coming for you himself. And he wants you to understand that. Let's look at himself again. Hebrews chapter 2. Let's read verse 14. Our subject, new wine in new bottles. Hebrews 2:14. [clears throat] Are we there? >> I didn't think I'd be sweating in January in Illinois, >> but I am. But I thank God I'm alive to
sweat. Can you say amen? >> I've never seen a dead man sweat. All right. 1 Thessalonians 4:16. Read with me. No, sorry. Hebrews 2:14. Are you there now? >> Read with me. In as much for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same. We have he himself became human. Let's look at himself again. We have it in Luke 24. We have it in Hebrews 2. We have it in 1 Thessalonians 4. Let's go to Revelation 21. We read it earlier. Let's read from
verse one. Revelation 21. [clears throat] Last book of the Bible. Revelation 21. We'll read from 1 to three. Or to save time, we just read three. Verse two, John sees the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorn for a husband. Verse three, read with me. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples carefully now, and God himself shall be with them and be their God." In
other words, in this new world, God will come down from heaven >> and live on this earth. God himself. [snorts] He wants us to have no doubt to live in the very presence of God. You must be new wine living in a new bottle. >> We cannot take one sin to heaven. Because one sin put Adam out. >> And I always say if one sin put Adam out, one sin can't get us in. Amen. Amen. >> We must be perfect new wine. But you and I cannot produce perfection because a perfect life means no sin
in the past, no sin in the present, no sin in the future. A perfect life isn't simply a forgiven life. Forgiveness does not erase the fact that you sin once. Are you with me? >> I know you're not with me. >> You're just being nice. Amen. >> Listen to me carefully. A perfect life means I have never sinned. That's a perfect life. >> Psalm 19:7, the law of the Lord is perfect. Which mean it demands a perfect life. Each one of us has sinned at least once. So we can make no claim to the perfection
that Jesus can claim. Are you with me? But Jesus lived the perfect life. And he says to us, if you come to me, I will put that life in your account. [snorts] >> And so your admission to the new world will be my life covering you. >> Are you with me? Yes, >> a perfect life which is the new life for new world, new wine in new bottles. And Jesus can begin that process right where you sit. >> The problem with the carnal nature, it refuses to believe truth that's as simple as ABC. It will
not believe. The carnal nature says, "Well, there must be something I can do to save myself." No. Capital N, capital O, exclamation point, bold, italicize, underline. >> You cannot save yourself. >> You can ask Jesus to save you. And that's the same as submitting your life to him. >> And he comes into you. Listen to this quotation from Ellen White. Steps to Christ, page 62, paragraph 2. It is astonishing. You won't believe it. If you ex if you give yourself to him and accept him as your savior, then sinful as your life may have been,
for his sake, you're counted righteous. Christ's character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted by God just as if you had never sinned. Now the carnal nature will not believe that. People say, "God, do you know how much I've hurt you and sinned against you? How can you do that?" That's why Christ died. That's the only way that you and I can qualify for that new world. We can become new wine for the new bottle of the new heaven and the new earth. It is the righteous life of Christ. He doesn't just
put it on as a raincoat. He puts it here in the mind. You see, it covers the mind. So now we have a mind. Philippians 2:5, let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Listen to me. This happens literally in the sense that the spirit of Christ takes possession of your mind. >> Amen. and his influence is maintained by your constant exposure to the word of God. >> Amen. >> Somebody who just got baptized. Your source of power is this. Listen to uh Matthew 8:16. Don't go there. Just listen. And when
the evening was come, they brought unto him many unto him many that were possessed with devils, and he cast out the spirits with his word. >> This is your power. This is your wisdom. This is your immune booster. >> Are you with me? >> Amen. this, but you must take it every day >> because [snorts] yesterday's power was for yesterday. >> We don't understand that. We think God gives you power on Monday and you coast until next Monday. Monday's power is for Monday. Remember, we serve a God who's created one day at a time. And
at the end of every day, we read a statement and the evening and the morning were the first day. He was done with that. We needed new power now to create on the second day. Then we read the evening and the morning go the second day. Done with that third day. New power. The power God gives you today is for today. The spirit that moved you this morning was for today. You need new power tomorrow. You need new power tonight. >> What's our subject? Have you ever been sick? There will be no sickness in that
new world. >> Amen. >> Ever lost a loved one? I've lost many. My mother, my father, my mother, my brother, my father-in-law, my mother-in-law, my cousin, and niece, close friends gone. In that new world, there shall [clears throat] be no more death. >> We are so surrounded by death, whether people, animals, or leaves. It's hard for us to imagine a world no death. I've heard Christians tell me, "What will I do living forever? I'll be bored stiff." That's not a statement of faith. That's a human expression. Because the Bible says, "I have not seen, nor
ear heard, nor hath entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Amen. >> And so this morning or this afternoon, I want you to make a decision to be new wine for the new bottle. >> Amen. >> I saw a new heaven, a new earth. And I want John to add, I saw a new heaven. I saw a new earth. And I saw the Northbrook SDA church with all its guests. >> And at the end of the line, I saw Randy SK. >> That day is coming.
I have a responsibility to God to tell you that world is coming. >> Amen. >> People look at the fires in Los Angeles. People wrote me, "What's going on?" That is just a small expression of what's coming. I am not a prosperity preacher. If I were, I'd be prosperous. I'd be a millionaire. You see? So, I don't know how to tell you how to be a millionaire. I know how to tell you how to be saved. Can you say amen? I am not a prosperity preacher. Your problem is not poverty. It's sin. >> Your problem
isn't lack of education. It's sin. [clears throat] >> Your problem isn't you can't find a husband or wife. It's sin. >> Are you with me? >> Sin. That's what we have to deal with. And this world is coming. Let me close the Bible almost. Let you know I'm finishing. No sin. no suffering. As I said, that fire in Los Angeles is a small example of what will happen when [clears throat] the entire world is a fireball. The most popular verse in the Bible warns us. Say it with me. For God so loved the world that
he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. There's eternal life which is the good side. There is perish. The ugly side. Both are in John 3:16. Now you pick one. >> Which one do you want? everlasting life. Which one should you avoid? Perish. Tell you one more thing. I'm tell you a lot of things. Have you ever wondered why God keeps delaying his coming? God knows his punishment will be so terrible. >> Are you with me? >> He keeps putting it off. >> He knows how
horrible it will be because a just God must respond horribly to sin. And as I've told you before, perhaps not quite the way I'm about to tell you, in my state of Michigan, there's a lot of hunting around November, December, and people get shot accidentally. They look like a deer. Okay. Now, here's a hunter with a rifle. And he's aiming at a deer, what he thinks is a deer. And you come between the deer and the rifle. and he pulls the trigger and you're dead. >> Now, God is a hunter. >> He's hunting sin wherever
it is. >> In a cave or in you. >> Don't sleep. Here's God. Look through the scope. >> The color of the scope is the blood of Christ. and you are in the line of fire. He's aiming at sin. It's in you. And God tells you, "Get sin out of your life." Because I must pull the trigger. It's a righteous act. You are in the line of fire. Get sin out of your life. Let me hit sin, not you. >> Amen. >> I hit Christ on the cross, you see, >> so I don't have to
hit you. >> Yes. Separate yourself from sin. >> Be a new person for a new world, new wine. >> Amen. >> For new bottles. I'll ask you some questions. Don't answer me. Is there someone you need to forgive? Don't answer me. Make a decision right now to forgive. Is there someone to whom you need to apologize? It may be your children for the way you raised them. Do it. Do you need to start returning a faithful tithe to God? Do it. The Bible says, "A curse rests upon anyone who does not who keeps robbing God.
You cursed with a curse for you've robbed me, even this whole nation." You're not keeping the Sabbath holy. You know why the Israelites went into Babylonian captivity? The major reason was Sabbath violation. That's why they spent 70 years a decade for each day of the week. Mhm. What is it you're doing that's wrong? And you know that. Tell God, "I'm sorry." Right where you sit. >> Walk out of this place, out of the line of fire. >> Walk out of this place with the initial qualification for a place in that new world. What's that qualification?
Covered with the righteousness of Christ. You have a grudge against somebody, let it go. Someone borrowed money, wouldn't pay you back. Okay, let it go. [laughter] You know what the Bible says? God forgives and forgets. He just lets it go. You're in a relationship that's immoral, stop it. >> Let me repeat. You just went to sleep on that one. You're in a relationship that is immoral. >> Stop it. In Ezekiel 33:11, God said, "Say unto them, as I live, sayith the Lord, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked
turn from his ways." Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways, for why will he die? Why are you choosing death? God says to the Israelites and he says to the Northbrook congregation, those online, why are you choosing death by holding on to sin? >> How many will say with me, and I'm saying it, I really am. Father, I want to be new wine in new bottles. Can I see your right hand? Do you mean that? Stand up with me. >> Amen. I want father cleanse me from the leavenven of malice, wickedness and the doctrine
of the Pharisees and Sadducees error. Deliver me, dear God. Deliver me. And the best time to make that surrender is now. I think I told you sometime during the week, a decision for Christ benefits not only you but your family, your children if they're little ones. They you they are benefited because they're looking now at a child of God and your influence will reach them. Heads bowed, eyes closed. Father in heaven, [clears throat] if I was too hard on your people, forgive me. If I said anything I should not have said, forgive me, dear God.
I ask you in the name of Jesus Christ, Father, through the working of your spirit working over time, convict someone, Father, to give that life to you right now. Because we do not have a receipt for long life. We can go any time, good or bad. The best people die, the worst people die. And so I pray that your spirit would move someone, dear God, to make a recommmitment right now. Move someone to make a decision to be baptized. The person knows he or she should have made that decision some time ago. Make a move
on someone's heart to return your tithe, to start keeping the seventh day Sabbath and receive those blessings. Amen. >> Ah God, move upon someone to forgive those who offended them. Move upon someone de God to apologize to those whom he or she has hurt. Move upon someone, Father, to make time for the study of your word. >> Yes. >> The source of power. And father move upon someone young or old to come back to you because that person has drifted in the church physically but spiritually on the other side of the world. Why heads are
bowed and eyes are closed. If there's someone who wants to say father I really have drifted from you and I know it. I am coming back. Open your arms as I come. >> Amen. I have drifted. I'm coming back. I want that person to come right now so we can pray. I have drifted. I'm coming back. Open your arms, Father. If that's you, come. I won't delay you long. Come. I have drifted. Open your arms, Father, and receive me. I have drifted. >> Somebody else come. I have drifted. I have drifted. The church doesn't know,
but you know, Father, I'm coming back seriously. And by the power of your spirit, may I never drift again. [clears throat] >> The call is, I have drifted from God, and I know it. I'm coming back. Father, receive me into your arms. I'm coming back. Come. And I pray release you. Someone else may need to make a decision for baptism. You know enough to know you ought to serve God and obey his commandments. You ought to make a decision to be baptized. If that's you, raise your hand so I can see it. A decision to
be baptized. You've not yet made it. You need to make it. Okay? You have a brother. This is serious. >> Don't say, "I'll do it at the next service." There may not be a next service. The next service will not be exactly like this. Anybody else? I give you 30 seconds and I pray release you. Two calls. I have drifted. I'm coming back. I really need to be baptized and I'm making that decision publicly. 20 seconds. 15. I'll add a third. I'd like Bible studies to learn a little more. I'd like Bible studies to learn
a little more. May I see your hand? Okay, we'll make sure you get it. We'll make sure you get it. Pastor, keep an eye on these hands. Okay, Father. The decisions have been made, the responses made, the appeals made. I've done what I could. Father, you continue the work of changing lives and hearts towards you. >> Amen. >> Now, in the name of Jesus Christ, bless everyone who heard. A special blessing on those who responded to the call in the building and online. In all that we do dear God, let's ask the question, is this
pleasing to God? That's the way Jesus lived. Now give them a special measure of your spirit, dear father. That the decisions they have made will not be changed regardless of the pressures of the world. >> Amen. >> Hear this humble prayer. God, bring us back in the afternoon for the Q&A. Until then, let's remember this is a holy day. Let's conduct ourselves accordingly. Thank you for your love. Thank you for the new world that's coming. Thank you for making us new wine to fit into new bottles. I pray from my heart in Jesus name. Let
God's people say, "Amen." And amen.
