in New Orleans on the west bank side of the Mississippi River is the Toro Shakespeare nursing home it was built to provide extended stay care for seniors with varying disabilities when it was still operational it had a total of 119 beds it was named after Judith Toro who was a local philanthropist and died in 1854 it's a very gothic looking building there's a barbershop pole spray-painted on one of the pillars all right surround at the Toro Shakespeare home it's an old nursing home it was built in 1933 and it's been sitting empty since 2005 let's
go inside today creepy hallway down there oh this is pretty awesome this is what the chapel actually used to look like with the stained glass windows doesn't look like that anymore I'm guessing this is a little Cathedral Chapel or something look at these pews and these these are these are pew cushions right here yeah just watch where you step through here's a songbook it looks like somebody actually tried to cover up the graffiti with some of this white paint didn't look like they got very far though we got some new ceiling tiles to put in
all right I say let's head that direction this place is pretty cool there's a lot of broken glass on the ground that you got to watch your step especially for nails too I would assume this guy wearing a suit you need a shirt try them hitting the room is right here get bent I try quarters in that working that's the yeah the Triforce that's a horse that's Triforce okay I wonder if they if there was any plans to rebuild any of this or fix it up at some point this is old like tile floor just
because wow this is crazy Wow on the electrical boxes that have fallen from the roof probably all water damaged it's wet in here that's pretty disgusting and somebody used to take a shower in here a long time ago yeah this is obviously what the toilet was you can see the hole on the ground I'm sure all the toilets are probably been removed the water that's still down there laser just creepy looking you've got tile that was newer at the time over older tile so yeah I'm sure that tile yeah you're probably right he's probably the
