Alrighty so we're gonna jump in and get started and i'll let people in as they come uh so today i'm excited to this is our second and final it's the end of july uh coaching call of this month and we're gonna go through some real time script writing and review and so this is gonna be a mix of like me going through some examples with all of You doing a little bit of training and then i'll also have you guys participate in some of the stuff that we do as well so we're going to review
what goes into a highly converting script like i said we're going to do an exercise to kind of show you how easily how easy it is to actually start writing these scripts and then we're going to do some practice coming up with some scripts on the spots So if you're good with that today's a participation day so as best as you can just give me a yes in the comments if you are okay with that um and we're gonna jump in so first of all as you guys know if you've been watching the videos or
you've been following along and listening in you know that my goal for all of you with live video or just video in general is not to make it complicated but to have it be Just so simple and easy and fun that you can go live or shoot a video like wherever you are like if we were on this coaching call right now and i was like all right everybody we're shutting our cameras down get your phone out and i want you to pick one topic to chat about right now for the next five minutes like
you could easily go ahead and do that and it would be Like no issue for you maybe it'd be a little weird because we're on this coaching call but you see my point so i want you to have this stuff down to a science right and we talk about how using this highly converting video script you should all have seen this i've watched some of the trainings on it but we have some like really core components that we talk about every Time we have the hook the intro the welcome the crazy not to say promise
the quiet engaging question your actual main need content and then your call to action right it's very simple straightforward and we focus more on making sure the message is clear and compelling than getting distracted by you know do i have the best lighting or the best sound or the best outfit or the best whatever like it's it's focusing on The message above everything else right so i'm not going to go through this whole script because we've done this in like so many trainings um but what i am going to do is just touch on what
because anybody can fill this out right i'm giving this to you but like what is the difference between people who are going to fill this out and have success and people are going to fill this out and Kind of struggle with it a little bit and hopefully i've made it as easy as possible but doesn't mean that the execution is always a hundred so some of the difference makers are like i said number one focusing on the message like over everything and what that means is that we're not getting distracted by all the superficial things
like feeling like you need to highly heavily edit everything And have perfect lighting and makeup and all those superficial things right that's the first thing that we talked about second thing that i emphasize is not owning too much so what i mean by that is a lot of times when either students in this membership or my accelerator are writing video scripts one of the biggest problems we run into is they try to teach everything they try to put everything into one script and sometimes because it's They're nervous that they're not going to deliver enough value
so they're almost trying to like overcompensate where it's coming from a good place like you want to give a lot of value but like when you over stuff it a lot of times it ends up having the opposite effect where you end up overwhelming to the point that like people are like ah this is not for me next like you want to make it as simple as possible for people so when i say Don't try to own too much it's not trying to own the top 20 lessons to learn in the next you know five
minutes it's here's one thing you could do today here's this uh one super tiny win that you could have this week right it's owning something small and getting your audience in the habit of winning so by the end of the video it's not just oh that's a nice Thought but here's a thing that i'm going to go and implement right away here's an actionable thing i'm going to go and do today tomorrow this week and then i can say oh catherine's system really worked me a system really worked melee system really worked and they're constantly
thinking about you while they have those wins right so let me know if this is making sense so far you can just give me a yes in the chat or if you have any questions But that's the second thing that goes into like really nailing this script and the last piece to this is making sure that your scripts or your topics your content is supported with evidence so what that means is we want to have this really nice mix in your scripts between Showing and telling so telling is when you are giving a system it's
when this is me telling where i'm saying here are the one two three four five five pieces to a script right just five parts that would be me telling i'm giving you a formula i'm giving you a system showing would be if i was like here's how my client rey went from crickets on Her video to you know booking in calls every single week that would be showing with an example instead and a lot of times people like to tell but they're like you should drink eight glasses of water a day or you should walk
every single day or you should do video or you should get out of debt like whatever it is like that's great but like it's the it's the That that that telling is not nearly as powerful as the showing right and so we want to have this really nice balance of both so if you're doing a ton of telling the positive is you're very clear on exactly what steps you want your audience to take right this is super super clear right like you know exactly what you're supposed to do like what is included in It this
is me telling but there's part of you like if i didn't show as well that's like okay but how do i know this really works like how do i know that i can use this too who who else has used this like can i see some examples that's why we're doing examples today too right like i want you guys to see what this actually looks like in action so the best content is going to do a mix Of the two it's going to show and it's going to tell so in everything you're doing that that's
the way we're really gonna get people uh listening and engaging and we're gonna like i said we're gonna go through some real-time examples of uh topics and how they were written with some of my students that i've helped um and and i've uh mentioned this in past trainings before but i want To re-highlight this because when we do some practice here we're going to go through these three questions again some of you might remember this if you're in the membership a couple months back when we did this but we're gonna go through it again so
when we're thinking about writing these highly converting and engaging scripts there's three questions we want to ask ourselves right So these three questions are how you know if you are ready if you have enough clarity to write your script or if you need to spend a little bit more time thinking about exactly what message you are trying to convey to your audience right so here are the three questions question number one is what is the number one lesson or takeaway or through line that you want Your audience to remember by the end of this and
i i think i sound like a broken record like i am constantly asking people on coaching i was like what's the number one lesson you want them to get what's the number one takeaway and the people who struggle to tell me here's the number one thing concisely one sentence or less are usually not ready because they don't have clarity on exactly what they're talking about they're gonna own a lot of things They're gonna have a lot of things that they're excited to talk about but they're not crystal clear on what the number one win the
number one moment the number one shift that they want their audience to have in the video right so that's the first question second question like we just talked about what is the evidence you have to support The lesson like what are the case studies what are the testimonials what are the uh stories that you can share obviously true like you're not making them up um to support all that you are sharing about right so that's the second thing how do you want to support the lesson or take away and then lastly what next steps do
you want your audience to take As a result of having this aha moment so is it that you want them to go and do an action is it that you want them to book a call with you is it that you want them to sign up for something like what don't leave them hanging right like what is the next step in this process so when you have clarity on the lesson you want them to get the evidence you have to support this lesson and to start Showing and the next steps and you can say those
each one really concisely one one sentence or less that's when you know you know like that you are ready to actually start writing so before i start writing anything i am crystal clear on these things so i guess uh just just to hammer this home i won't spend this much more time on this but writing your script The actual act of writing should not take a long time if these three questions are clear for you right it's the clarity that's hard for people right it's getting clear on what your main point is it's getting clear
on what journey you're trying to take your audience on that's the struggle for most video creators right the clarity is the hardest thing words aren't necessarily the hardest thing Um however i told all of you i actually might have i feel like i share a lot of the same stories but this is such a good one especially this one is such a good one um so if i've told the story i apologize if you're hearing it again um but when i was leadership coaching i kicked off my leadership coaching business by writing a book like
i was writing this book as i was going Through the six month process halfway through the process i was like screw it i'm going to quit my job i'm going to do this full time i'm going to start a business i'm going to launch this new business with this book and i really really struggled to write like there was a point where we'd spent so much time and i was like i'm not getting this done And my coach was like all right alex like writing is the easy part like you don't have a writing issue
you have a clarity issue and i was like what do you mean i don't have a writing issue like i've been sitting here trying to get this done right i was like i don't believe you like what do you mean and he's like all right let me show you we're gonna do an exercise and for the next five minutes i want you to Take out a piece of paper write as much as you possibly can like just don't stop writing it doesn't matter what it's about whether it's about your business or your friends or your
family or your partner whatever it is five minutes straight we're gonna count up how many words you've written after so we do this write a ton pages are filled up i've gotten like 800 words down or something crazy like that in like the five six Minutes that we do this right and he's like all right of all you've written like is any of this like stuff that like you're excited to talk about is this stuff that you're ready to share about i was like no i mean it's crap like this this is not stuff i'd
ever put in the book right he's like right exactly but words are easy like you just put five or 800 words down In five to six minutes right you have all the words you have all the things that you could say the problem is is that you aren't clear on exactly what your message is going to be and when you are clear on exactly what your message is going to be the words are going to come from that place right so that's that's the crux it's the same thing with video script writing i'm Constantly thinking
about this story when i'm looking at your video scripts because it's the same situation when i was struggling with saying i just don't have words and it takes too long it's really that clarity like what am i trying to help this person with what is the main point what's the big lesson right so hopefully that helps i'm sorry if you've heard the story like 20 times like i constantly think about it myself Um but hopefully it helps all of you really start to understand the point here with with engaging scripts and like what the difference
makers are so hopefully that does help okay um awesome racing it's powerful bears repeating all right cool sounds good nicole saying does help Awesome okay all right so what we're gonna do now now that i've kind of done some highlights on what goes into these engaging scripts is i actually what i did was i went back through some of my students that i've worked with either in my accelerator or privately and i took some of the topics that did the best like some of the videos that did the best in terms of Engagement of terms
of conversion and i broke down exactly what we did and then what we're gonna do right now is we're sort of gonna like write our own version of this script so this is a new little exercise it's gonna be a little unconventional but this is where i need all of your participation a little bit there's no Judgment here um so feel free to comment come off you raise your hand um but what we're going to do is we're going to go through the topic and these three questions that we literally just talked about and we're
gonna put together like our own version of the script that's compelling and like what kind of goes into it and i pick topics that i think a lot of people will be able to relate to And worst case like i will help you guys out as we go through this um but here's the first example so the first example is a relationship coach and the topic of this video was how to start getting a relationship back on track after an argument so i figured this is relevant most of you guys have been or are in
relationships i'm sure you've had arguments you guys know The pain points for the most part of like what would go into something like that so question number one right like when i was helping this person write the script first question is how to get your relationship on track after an argument again you could go a million directions with this there's a million things you could own with this topic right and so question number one is What's the number one lesson or takeaway or through line so what the audience is going to take away is the
three essentials uh for the three essentials to do for yourself i should say to do for yourself after an argument so like basically how to take care of yourself after an argument um next after that is what evidence do you Have to support the lesson so this is uh basically the story that this person was sharing with clients were married for 10 years it used to take them like weeks and weeks to bounce back after an argument and now it like takes them 24 hours because they're do they're doing these three essential things together right
and then final question what next steps do you want your audience to take And that is they have a like a relationship membership it's like a little course okay so what we're going to do is talk about like what goes into this and again i can share with you guys like exactly what was written some of these but i want us to start like coming up with some of these and like funnily enough sometimes having topics that are outside of like your own area Is really really helpful so the first thing we're going to do
is the hook right for the how to get your relationships on track after an argument so the hook is like what's gonna capture your audience's attention and one of the best ways to do that is by using like the three either three question or three prong statement where you want to ask three questions at the beginning Where you can say are you experiencing x y and z or are you x y and z to start to hook your audience into the video so i don't know if anyone wants to come off me first or share
but do you does anybody have any ideas for like what a hook would look like for this and this is where it's make mistakes brainstorm some stuff out and uh that's totally okay so what would a hook be for something like this how could we start off this Video to capture the attention of people who are like struggling in a relationship like what would you say if you were in this person's shoes and if it was something like are you sick and tired of the silent treatment from your partner or that's good sick and tired
of the silent treatment From your partner cool i'm going to piggyback off of what rey is saying here thanks for that ray so sick and tired of the silent treatment for your from your partner um and then she started out with a question so again one of the best ways to start building the momentum ask another follow-up question off that so sick and tired of the silent treatment from your partner Um ready to get rid of the the awkwardness that comes after a fight and then maybe it's wondering what to do to uh reconnect with
your uh with your wife or husband wondering what to do reconnect with your wife and husband And like what's what's awesome about this and this is really similar to again what this person had written but the great part about it is it says exactly who it's for right so we've got a really big pain point where like the silent treatment is is a big toxic thing that like happens in relationships and the awkwardness and wondering how you're gonna reconnect again so your first part of the video Talking about what are those big painful moments right
whereas most people when they start off a video are like hey how's it going how are you let me take a minute to get set up and you're like now right off the bat i'm gonna get into it and i'm gonna start with those pain points right okay cool and then we've got the crazy not to say promise from here So when we think about the crazy not to say promise that is question one right so if you know uh if you know the the clear lesson or takeaway we know that it is question one
right here so the crazy not to say promise is you know if you say until the end of the video you're getting The three essentials for what to do after an argument right so let me know if you have questions i see someone beverly off me let me know if you guys have questions so far um awesome okay and then we've got obviously the authority building the call to action so the authority building is just talking About the person the call to action is again question number three what next steps do you want the audience
to take so this person joining the relationship membership so this is where she's plugging her relationship membership right from here we've got an engaging question and then the actual content so this is where this person Would go through the three essentials but then using this client in each of the examples so if essential one is to i'm just thinking essential one is to have a meal together maybe that's one of the things that this person suggests right She's going to reference this client who is married for 10 years and 24 hours to bounce back like
how they did this how they're setting it up that she's gonna go into more explicit detail right and then she'll go into essential two and maybe she'll reference someone else or maybe she'll just reference this client again but the point is again we're vacillating between The showing and the telling and then we're finishing with a call to action okay cool so is this helpful to see like just give me a yes or no is this helpful not so helpful okay cool so what we're going to do i do have one more example i could show
you but i think what's more more helpful Is let me move this guy up um what's more helpful is i want to be able to do at least one of you um and do the same process with one of you right now um where we'll literally pick a topic and i know that we're like doing this on the spot i did not ask any of you to prepare for this so we're just going to pick a topic and I really want to just go through and demonstrate how we can make this easy and simple once
you have these questions answered so does anyone want to volunteer to go through is that yumiya i see you come off here yeah i was waiting i was waiting to see if anybody else is going to speak up first you're right you're right below me so i can see you Okay i am actually doing a facebook live tonight and i would love some feedback let's do it the topic is coping with loss and it's from a perspective of of dealing with stress stress and loss and grief and how that plays a part on the body
uh health conditions and specifically tying in hair loss okay that's a lot of things so okay all right so coping with loss and How it relates to health right so let's go through these three questions first so question one is what is the number one takeaway that you want your audience to have by the end of this or what's the through line the number one takeaway will be um some tips or things that they can do to help with stress is that what you're in this game Well so i'm asking like what are they gonna
learn by the end of this video because when you just said the topic i heard coping with loss and then how loss affects health and then how it affects hair loss so remember we talked about owning a lot of things in one video like i'm not saying you can't bring those things up but you want to be super ridiculously clear on what is the main Thing because people only remember so much like you're gonna talk about a hundred things and they're gonna remember one so what is the most important thing they should get from this
video the most important for me is going to be how how reflexology can help with hair loss okay so when you say coping with loss you weren't talking about death right uh no nothingness Well let me let me be super clear i am tag teaming this with somebody and so she want to use the title coping with loss but it's really about it started out being really about hair loss okay so my from my perspective reflexology and hair loss okay so see now we're getting more clear so the topic has to do with How reflexology
can help with hair loss okay okay so now we're getting clear all right so now what is the what are the takeaways you want them to have are you giving them like the top three tips are you giving them the number one piece of advice like what what can they what are they actually learning by the end of this by the end of they will know uh one one specific tip Or strategy or well they will know one specific reflex point that they can use to help with hair loss okay all right i know you
felt that wrong okay um all right question two then is what evidence do you have to support this lesson like what case study what examples right uh one will be my own personal testimonial In dealing with alopecia and then one the second one will be a research study cool and then lastly where are you leading them after this what do you want them to do after this video the call to action is going to be to get on we're going to do an actual hands-on um event so get on the list to receive the the
detailed information for the event okay Yeah perfect okay so let's start putting this together so you see how we went from like all the topics not super clear i wasn't sure if you were talking about death like what loss are we talking about too here's the number one lesson here's the testimony here's where we're leading them and you've just gotten that crystal clear Clarity yeah yep okay so let's go through the hook so what if you're gonna start this video right now mia like what would your hook be for this video like why don't you
pretend like you're starting out what would this look like for y'all um are you feeling stressed because of hair loss Okay cool is that the only thing you would say like what how else would this look um is hair loss affecting your confidence okay what's the other one right affecting okay so this is it's not bad so feeling stressed because of hair loss is hair loss Affecting hummus is this for women specifically oh no not specifically probably more women but not just there oh yes it's for women more so right it is yes most likely
it'll be women that participate okay so this is good i think what takes this from this is like it's on target like it's on Target in that like it hits home with the topic it's clear it's saying what it needs to but how you get things from just sort of like run of the mill to like the next level is putting some like like you have surface level pain point but like what gets it like really much much deeper is giving like real life moments right so like for example have you ever Gotten ready to
go out for a girls night and looked at yourself in the mirror and just thought like where did all my hair go or have you gotten ready for a wedding and just felt like no confidence because your your hair doesn't look the same as when you were a teenager and now it's getting more noticeable right so those real life and i don't like i'm assuming those are you know real life scenarios that like Women that are watching this video are going through like this is me imagining what that would kind of look like so do
you see the difference though like having the real life scenario yes that's great [Laughter] and so you wanna you almost you wanna imagine like what what narrative has led this person to get on this video Today right so like what things had to have happened for this person to get on this video today we're at they had to probably have a moment where they looked in the mirror and were like oh my gosh like my hairline is receding or my hair is going great or whatever they had to have one of those moments they had
to maybe have a moment where someone Pointed it out they had to maybe have a moment where right and you see what i mean like what happened or they're having these moments and then now they're at this video okay okay does that help oh yeah absolutely that was super super clear yeah and yeah like telling telling the story exactly and that's that's this that right there is like the real Real difference maker and what when i talk about like having compelling and like persuasive speech it's not just sounding good it's being so in touch with
the moments that have led up to them feeling like oh this is now a pain point for me okay yeah beverly did you have a question hi alex it's not it's not a it's not a question it's uh it's a comment um because i've suffered from alopecia So so my thing to me is i'm sure you know that it's a real emotional thing and the problem with saying feeling stressed because of hair loss well yeah that's obvious is it affecting your confidence yes but it doesn't touch my heart and that that's what you want what
what's the bit so your adjectives you know are you Devastated for the loss of your you know glossy hair or something something that that really really hurts have you avoided um the family celebrations because you don't want to wear a wig or a head scarf or or something or have you looked in the mirror and you're trying to cover up you know the patches that you've lost something that really where it hurts Them just just feeling stressed well yeah i feel stressed that's obvious but it doesn't touch my heart so that that that's what i
that's what i wanted to say in terms of a hook because if i heard you just say are you feeling stress because of the hair loss i might go yes but it wouldn't make me stay and watch because it wouldn't engage my emotion so so that that's just my Comment for what it's worth you have something to offer but it's you've got to get their emotion to make them want to sit up what is it that you're offering that's yeah that's different sorry i'll shut up now no no no no no thank you verbally can
i just chip it as well because it's actually something that's really close to my heart because having lost the weight i lost obviously going keto you Do tend to lose hair and i've lost quite a lot of hair and you know i've got a much um you know when you look at the top of my head now you can sort of see my scalp much more clearly now obviously from a professional woman's point of view if you're being told to get on video and present yourself on video what i'm absolutely neurotic about is bending putting
my head forward and people saying the top of my head so from a you Know that is a heart that you know yes i get the heart thing as well but also if you're dressing a professional audience you know you know it's like are you terrified of accidentally you know putting your head forward in a video and people saying how thing that hurt in your hair is on top of your head you know so that's you know it's just a basically practical thing i'm praying mine comes back but uh Yeah yeah that's awesome so i
oh my gosh beverly your feedback was awesome catherine that was awesome and like it just so it was such good examples of like those real life moments talking about real life moments is more powerful than just asking kind of generic questions so the examples like with the scarves and covering up and avoiding family events and not leading and not being careful Not to lean forward in certain instances like that's like oh that like hits you in the feels more than any question right gotcha yeah wow all right this is a big pain point apparently well
i guess this was a good topic mia for us to talk about today beverly your hair's really thick and luxurious i've got a week on i've just I'm wearing a wig so yes i've got a full head of hair but i but i haven't underneath this right i might have to go down that route myself at some point awesome love it all right well uh all your experience came in super handy today for mia um awesome all right let's let's finish off this one and then we'll have time to do one more person so All
right so we just went through a bunch of hooks so we won't write them all out but mia i think you you'll you can hear the recording for those right um all right let's go through crazy not to say promise so what's your crazy not to say promise for this video uh if you um stay until the end you're gonna receive look at your questions like what what's the what's the biggest lesson you want them to get Um i guess written relief and look here it's not it's not like a trick question like you've got
we talked about learning that one reflex point to you that you talked about right right so it's the same so it'd be if you stand till the end of this video i'm going to talk about exactly this right okay yeah so it's literally just plugging in from this here Yep okay and then can i just jump in i think the crazy to stay promises you will feel excited excited at the possibility of starting to reverse your hair loss or you know something or or understanding the one key thing you can do there's got to be
an element of excitement that that they can do it it's not enough Just to say this and i do know about reflexology it's not enough just to say you could there's one point of reflexology that could help you that's not enough to hook me in there's got to be some excitement some real possibility it's not that you can cure it you know you can't but to give them a starting point That's that's the hook okay yeah so i agree i think having the one tangible thing so we talked about the one reflex point to use
and then yeah having it be filled with you know the emotional piece still i want to know where that point is yeah yes get into me is the point [Applause] [Laughter] i want the link to that video please Or that master class or whatever it is i want it all right so we've got that um all right let's go through let's just do the engaging question and we'll do the one piece of content so what would be your engaging question for your for your audience with this video [Music] engaging question would be um i don't
know i'm going blank Okay i want them to put a comment um comment if so i don't know yeah we're thinking about engaging questions because you like i said i want to get you guys down to like a science with this so there's a variety of things you could do So you could do the multiple choice option right right where you're like how many years have you struggled with this a started this month b one to two years c three to four years like you could go that route uh you could go the ask for
a number route where you're like all right um on a scale of one to ten um how often is this a problem you feel Like interferes with your daily life one being very rarely ten being every single day or you could ask them to drop a word where you're like what is the number one word that describes your experience with hair loss right now so it's something that is very simple and easy to answer but also gives context around like what they are going through And what they are experiencing as well and so they really
should like i said there shouldn't be guessing so when you're going through and when all of you are going through and you're like all right what should my engaging question look like you're not like i don't know it's like all right should i do a multiple choice should i ask for a word should i ask for a number should i ask for a yes or no like if you don't Know like pick something simple like that okay and cycle through those right yeah so now having that in mind like what what's a question that you
could ask well you gave some perfect examples and i really do like the one is to describe the feeling how describe the describe and that's what i was trying to get to before but i didn't know how to ask it Uh describe your feeling with with hair loss because i want to get to that pain point yeah love it cool awesome all right and then we've got the content and whenever we're this is on the actual script I'll scroll up for it but whenever we're talking about the actual content like this is when you're delivering
the meal right so we're including the big bold point sharing social proof and then reiterating why it matters so we won't go through like a whole content idea and all that but you've got because we already kind of have the this is where you would share that reflex point and also you would share this testimony and research that you Have as well okay cool so do you have any other questions on this mia before we no this this was this was great i could really see i could really see the difference so thank each one
of you all good luck good night or later Yeah it was really yeah let us know how it goes and it i mean we got off not off track but we had a good conversation through it with like really good pain points and like really good dialogue so it took maybe longer to get through this but like once you had this like you know like you remember we went from owning all of the things related to hair loss and loss to just this one point with this one example to this one Thing and then it's
just plugging it in and it gets faster and faster right when you're like all right for my hook i know i just need three questions with real life experiences to get people right and then my crazy not to say promise is question one and then my engaging question if i don't can't think of a question i'm just going to ask people to drop a word or a number or do a multiple choice question like it Just you're cycling through and you're building up your library your mental library of options that you can plug and play
into your videos and then it's not recreating the wheel sort of like a jigsaw puzzle you're just kind of putting together pieces for different topics okay great everyone my camera's a little funky getting a new one today Got it um really helpful yeah isn't it amazing how much more compelling live videos when we follow the script yeah awesome cool does one more person want to go and do this be an example i see nicole asking someone tell me Where i can find the script so all of the scripts this one specifically if you go into
the skills lab under phase two the creation phase like i've got everything all the videos the templates all that stuff i would look through okay does one more person want to go we still have time we can do one more if you guys want do you want that okay it's okay Yeah no that's okay let me just grab let me grab this and then we're gonna do another one for you so what's your what's your topic catherine uh so my topic is going to be how to um how to establish your why you know your
why around when it comes to weight loss okay okay Or how to nail down your why i suppose something like that and so that they can do what i suppose so they can um i suppose the overriding i suppose the overriding feeling of thing is like it's not enough to just say oh i want to lose 20 pounds or i want to lose 30 pounds because it's that's not in that doesn't emotionally connect you to anything enough to make you really want to you know lose weight So you've got to establish a really strong why
and especially as in you know when you've got a lot of weight to lose and you're going to be on it for a long time okay you've kind of got to live with that why every single day and that why has got to be big enough to keep you on the straight and narrow when temptation raises its head especially if you're going to be on on this you know changing Your diet and eating in a certain way for a very long period of time yeah totally agree with you and i see your point so you're
saying how to establish your wife or weight loss so that you can stay in the game for good basically because i love that stay in the game that's the fantastic yeah okay we'll use that stay in the game for good um and the reason i asked that is Because this is something that's there's two things to this one this is intangible like your why isn't the thing they care about so when you're saying how to establish your wife or weight loss they're like i don't care about that just tell me what to worry how to
work out yeah right or they do care about the why because they've heard it before and they've heard it a million times already And not just for weight loss but business coaches uh let's think leadership coaches ah that's the worst for leadership coaches um anyone is like how do you find your why for whatever and like i have nothing against this topic but one of the big things that i am like very very very like adam about is that you want to understand what's being said to Your audience so if they are hearing find your
why from a million other people too like it loses some of its value it loses some of its what's the word impact impact thank you yeah so i think this is fine but just keep that in mind for like this topic in general or or maybe even we talk about that in the hook or maybe You've been told that you need to find your why and you don't exactly know what that means or why this even matters yeah that's yeah that's a good one actually because actually i i i prefer the word i i sort
of i operate at two different levels so when you when you when you talk about a top level why I get that you know you would go deeper and deeper and deeper and get to the bottom point and actually that that then for me becomes kind of like an overriding if you like purpose so you've got to you know when you from like so for me my why was i want to start dating again you go down and down and down dig down in deep into that and it was basically because the end result was
i actually want to live a fulfilled and healthy life in my old age because i Haven't got that long that many years left so it was about you know being healthy being fulfilled and being happy in my old age so that becomes kind of your overall purpose and the mission is the kind of thing let me pause you like do you see how and i i agree with you a hundred percent like i 100 but like we need to be able to say that in like a a sentence to help people [Laughter] So what is
the number one thing you want them to learn like by the end of the video finding that how how to how to how to find their why yeah how to how to discover it okay how and are they using like a specific technique are you teaching a technique or are you teaching a tool yeah i suppose i just teach them a technique in terms of questioning you Know a series of like you know five questions that takes them deeper and deeper and deeper when they get to the bottom where they kind of seem to be
going right round back on round on themselves that they can't really answer it without sort of going back back on themselves you know that they're kind of there right and what i would add is just to add to our conversation so how to discover your Why using this one technique even if you've even if you've even if you feel like you've tried everything before or something like that if they've heard this okay question two is what's question two uh okay testimony are you using who are you Using for your testimony okay okay and then where
are you leading them what's the call to action um i so there's two i mean i'm not going to put two cause of action but there's two options either i get them to come into my facebook you know if you'd like to um learn more about things that would enable you to drop the Weight and keep it off then join my facebook group alternatively i'm what i'm thinking of doing at the moment is running a kind of a two-hour master class that focuses on a lot of this kind of mindset stuff for weight loss and
which is going to be paid for master class okay so it is so i don't know whether just by these videos i'm going to get enough people signing up to pay for the masterclass as it were But so i'm kind of in a bit of a dilemma about that to this point okay this is a separate topic but you should validate that i don't know if you've built a waiting list around it like have you posted things no not yet no i mean basically i did this was a a live i did today in my
five day challenge so i'm just using that as a as an Example today because i did a live about this today in my challenge okay cool uh all right let's do your let's do your hook so what would your what would your intro hook be for this video um um struggling to struggling to find or struggling to find your why to Keep you on the gate keep you in the game on your weight loss transformation or do you not even or do you not even know what your why is okay i suppose something like that
i don't know okay so for those of you who or even if you're not experiencing this do you feel like this is a compelling hook like for those who are listening Come on beverly i know i see beverly hills okay okay catherine this refers to me as well because i'm i'm i'm overweight okay uh no it's not in the least bit compelling sorry i i it and i like alex i know a lot about why and you know i'm a qualified coach and stuff like that i don't care a bugger it's too Airy it's too
airy fairy i know what you're saying and when you said i i found the real reason for why i want to lose weight that caught me okay yes the why doesn't catch me because it's airy fairy do you want to find the real i even the real reason isn't the right word no i know what you i get what You're saying but when you said actually it's because in old age and i i was 60 a couple of weeks ago and it's exactly that issue but mine is actually i want to be able to wear
my high-heeled shoes you know that's that that's mine but as soon as you said yours i understood but when you're saying the why it is just it's too loose and most people do not use that language they don't No you know when did you last to hear any of your friends going i need to find my why for anything never i mean i never used i would never say that normally myself either no so that's so that's why i don't think it's the i don't i yeah i absolutely understand your message but i don't think
this Will attract you i do and when you kind of said well i might join a facebook group my thing was why why why would i want to well i think that's great feedback and when you say i agree with you better really like when you say struggling to find your way it's not that people don't go around saying i'm trying to find my why like that's not how most people are talking that's it's the intangible stuff that Like we as coaches understand through our education it's not the language lay people are using um yeah
so i think i think that's really good feedback and i think one of the things too when we think about your actual hook from the beginning uh and one of the like one of the questions that came to mind too and i like to use This question a lot of my stuff is like what's the difference between people who have success with weight loss long term and people who don't have success because that's the key that you're trying to really teach them like how do you stay in the game for good how you keep the
weight off for good how do you do this day after day without wanting to give up even when you feel hungry and tired and All that so i think it's living i mean and sorry if this is not i think it's liv it's living in your future vision basically so for me it was like you know wanting to wanted to start dating again and that overriding thing of wanting to start dating again was big enough was compelling enough for me to resist everything so how do you how do you say that in a question I
don't know okay what how do you how did you find how did you find the how do you find the big reason or how do you find your your imperative for staying on track for staying in the game on a weight loss journey what you know that maybe it's your some kind of like imperative what's your imperative yeah i would i would ask what i i would i would probably ask the Question i just said this is the question that popped in for me is like what is the difference between those who have long term
success with weight loss and those who do not right yes how do you make sure that you are staying in the game for good even when and now you call out their objections you feel tired or hungry or exhausted or stressed from work and and that doughnut is calling your name Right a little humor maybe yeah yeah how do you make sure that you stay on track yeah that's compelling that is very compelling yeah totally yes i'd watch that yes so would so would i there we go and that's when and then catherine when you
Bring up the why because i think beverly's point about like she's heard it a million times like like we get told it all the time but i don't think people actually understand what the y actually means like you understand what it means when you are six months in and you're just exhausted and you're pulling from reserves and then you're like why am i doing this to myself and you have to like really remind yourself Right and so when we're talking about like the real life moments like what real life moments had to lead to them
wanting to understand their why right so i'll give maybe i'll give like a personal example like i'm training for you i think you know catherine i'm training it's like 13-mile race right now and i go on these runs every night outside in the heat and there are these moments where literally i'm like what What am i doing like why am i doing this to myself i don't even like running i like lifting i'm not endurance but like it's just this message and i'm like this is the like that's the moment where i'm like this is
where i need a why but in my normal everyday life i'm not like i need a why it's in the desperation yeah that you're like oh like i actually need this why because i'm not gonna get through this last mile Yeah and so i would paint a picture of that yeah yeah where it's like if you're probably struggling to stay in the long game because you're up late at night feeling hungry or because you're struggling to get to the gym for the next workout or because like say all the things and it's like i know
this is the sexy thing but this is when having your why and not just a superficial one like most people are Teaching but going deeper with this technique i'm gonna give you is what's actually gonna be the thing that separates you long term if you use it the right way yeah what do you guys think that's it yeah and this is recorded isn't it because i'm not it is that's good i'm gonna have to go and then watch is like 10 seconds by 10 Seconds and make all my notes that's good i never remember what
i say so i couldn't tell you um okay does anyone have anything else said i feel like we got really deep on that one that is no alex that was so good honestly it was it was so good and that's the thing that's literally what catherine was trying to say so it's like It's easy to read the label from outside the bottle but like when you are in your own experience when kathryn you're like and i did this and i did this and this is the technique you're like absolutely i'm just saying it in a
way that like somebody from outside could read it it's not me making up the message you know what i mean so the better you get at like getting out of the bottle so to speak The better you're gonna get at writing these things yeah you're going to be like no one who visits the grocery store and sees my bottle is going to pick it up if it says why but they're going to pick it up if they see long term staying in the game hear all the pain the narrative that had to happen for them
to pick it up and be in that aisle in the first place Yeah catherine i think the important thing is what what made the difference when alexa was talking about having to go out running even if she didn't like it blah blah blah well i can't run because i have fibromyalgia and that's painful but as she was talking i slipped my own example into that and that's what people will do if it's if you have given some examples even if It's not their exact one they'll go i understand that and they'll drop in their own
whereas if it is just finding your white well i don't really know what you're talking about so i can't drop anything into it and therefore i'm i'm not excited and i i don't understand it whereas alex despite the fact i'm not going to run i was thinking yeah but i should be clicking this and i and it sparked four ideas of my own and that's what you want because after All you're gonna be hitting a one common thread but 20 diverse people whose experiences are different so what do you think your own story into what
you're saying yeah and honestly while you were saying that just brought up for me like need like if you were like in your video to talk about the importance of this where you can say like what's going to help you finish that Last mile when all you want to do is go inside and order a pizza or what's going to be the fuel that keeps you going and on track even when blah blah blah happens and it's like this is the 10 or the 15 difference maker this is the fuel that's going to drive you
through this entire thing yeah yeah That's exciting right oh this was fun i feel like this was one thank you ladies thank you so much bethany oh man all right i wish we could do more of these together i have got to run to another call but i hope all of you got so much from this i so appreciate all of your like participation it's always so much more fun when it's not just me talking at all of you for an hour but uh When you all get to get involved so thanks catherine and mina
and beverly nicole thanks for all your uh participation still here um mira i want to know i want your link to your to your masterclass whatever i want i want that that reflexology point please okay absolutely i'll find you [Laughter] love it all right well i'll post the replay to this uh today i'll post it in the group but i hope you guys have a great day and uh look out for the new stuff coming this weekend definitely this weekend
