Some dreams are merely fleeting glimpses of our daily lives, while others serve as a gateway to what lies ahead. In 1999, an obscure illustrator from Japan released an unusual manga that quietly documented 15 prophetic dreams she had experienced. One by one, those dreams began to manifest in reality.
The most chilling aspect is that the final dream remains unfulfilled. According to the manga, it is predicted to occur precisely at 5:00 a. m.
on July 5th, 2025. What does this dream entail, and why has it lingered in the minds of readers for over 20 years? Join us as we unravel this enigma in today's video.

And most importantly, stick around till the very end because the final part of Rio Tatsuki's 2025 prophecy might just change the way you look at the future forever.
Let's begin. On July the 1st, 1999, a peculiar comic book made its debut in Japan. Its title, The Future I Saw, was simple yet laden with unspoken significance.
At the time, it garnered little attention. There was no compelling reason for anyone to notice. It lacked visual flare, was not crafted by a well-known artist, and received no media promotion.
In fact, even if someone had picked it up and skimmed through its pages, they would have encountered a collection of bizarre dreams illustrated in pencil sketches accompanied by brief notes in the margins. It resembled nothing more than a graphic journal, a dream diary brought to life with rough, sometimes chaotic drawings that were often obscure and cryptic, making their meanings nearly elusive. Yet more than a decade later, on March 11th, 2011, Japan was rocked by a devastating earthquake and tsunami that ravaged the northeastern part of the country.
Over 15,000 lives were lost. Tens of thousands went missing and the world watched in disbelief as a technologically advanced nation was engulfed by the ocean. During a time filled with uncertainty and dread, an astonishing revelation emerged, sending ripples through Japanese online circles.
Someone recalled a long neglected comic book and what they discovered would leave the public in disbelief. 12 years prior, in one of the artists pencil-drawn dreams, a scene was illustrated that strikingly resembled the events of March 11th. Streets inundated with seawater, tsunami waves surging inland, and peculiar numbers like 311 gracing the cover, as if forewarning of an impending event that had gone unnoticed at the time of its publication.
The sheer magnitude and detail of this coincidence were impossible to overlook. Thousands began to hunt down the comic, meticulously flipping through each page, scrutinizing every sketch and margin note as if deciphering a message from the future. Soon they stumbled upon an even more astonishing truth.
The book contained 15 prophetic dreams, with the readers claiming that 12 and a half of them had already materialized. As the future depicted in the comic unexpectedly captured public attention after the 2011 disaster, the primary question on everyone's mind was, "Who was the mastermind behind it? " Yet, as the spotlight turned to the creator, they were met with only a vague, elusive name.
Rio Tatsuki, a pseudonym devoid of any verifiable details. The publishers records offered no leads on the individual responsible for the work. In an age where information is easily traceable, the fact that someone could remain entirely anonymous for over 20 years added to the enigma.
As Tatsuki's name gained traction, a multitude of fake accounts began to flood social media, imposters posed as the genuine author, disseminating new so-called prophetic visions and inciting public turmoil. Some viewed this as a calculated deception, while others speculated that Tatsuki might not be a person at all, but rather a collective or even more alarmingly, a construct created by unseen forces manipulating public perception. Then, in October 2023, just as interest in the manga's prophecies began to rise again, Tatsuki made a surprising comeback.
She re-released the original book, now enriched with detailed insights and explanations, retaining its title, The Future I Saw. The book evolved from a mere collection of fleeting dreams into an extensive account of her experiences, writings, and memories accumulated over the years. In this comeback, Tatsuki shared personal details about her life.
Born on December 2nd, 1954 in Kanagawa Prefecture, she currently resides in Yokohama. Her upbringing was typical, mirroring that of countless other Japanese children in the post-war period. She had a passion for painting, enjoyed singing, and possessed a sensitive, imaginative nature.
However, she had a unique gift that few others shared. Starting at the age of nine, she began experiencing dreams that set her apart from the ordinary. In these dreams, an elderly man with silver white hair, kind eyes, and a soothing voice frequently appeared, sharing insights about future events.
They would converse in dreams, strolling under the moonlight as he whispered revelations that she would only grasp many years later. The first truly disturbing dream occurred in November 1976 when Tatsuki envisioned a man performing under bright stage lights only to suddenly collapse amidst the fading glow, leaving the audience in stunned silence. In that moment, she instantly recognized the man before her.
It was none other than Freddy Mercury, the iconic frontman of Queen. In 1976, Freddy was at the zenith of his career, his health robust, his voice resonating in stadiums worldwide. To suggest he would die would have been akin to inviting scorn from the masses.
Yet rather than dismissing it, Tatsuki quietly illustrated the vision and meticulously noted it in her journal. Fast forward 15 years to November 24th, 1991, when the world was rocked by the devastating news of his passing. Special reports flooded television screens and newspapers showcased his image prominently on their front pages.
When Tatsuki revisited her old journal, disbelief washed over her as she confronted the pages. It marked the first time she felt a profound fear of herself, realizing that dreams could transcend mere fantasy. The chilling moment came not from the announcement of Freddy's death, but from a documentary clip depicting fans preparing to create a biographical film in his honor.
Within her 1976 journal lay a small sketch, a simple depiction of a film crew capturing a scene about a departed artist, and the likeness was unsettlingly accurate. Tatsuki attempted to rationalize it as mere coincidence, but deep down she understood that such perfect coincidences are seldom random. From that moment, her dreams began to manifest with increasing frequency, following an eerie timeline.
Some would materialize 5 years later, others 10, and some precisely 15 years after their inception. She meticulously chronicled every detail from the setting and sounds to the colors, names, time, and even the emotions that accompanied them. Another vision struck on August 31st, 1992, where she found herself traversing a long corridor bathed in light streaming through grand windows.
At the corridor's end, a painting depicted a blonde woman cradling a child. The name Dana appeared boldly on the canvas, and in an instant, a blinding light erupted, accompanied by the sound of metal colliding and the anguished cries of many. Fast forward 5 years to August 31st, 1997, when the world was once again left in shock.
Princess Diana tragically lost her life in a car accident in Paris. Remarkably, Tatsuki's journal had already captured this moment years prior through hauntingly vivid sketches. Starting in 1995, her prophetic dreams intensified, addressing issues of monumental significance.
They foretold natural disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, and geological upheavalss that humanity could not control. This growing urgency compelled her to create a book that the world would one day seek titled The Future I Saw. On a cold winter night in 1995, Tatsky once again dreamed of an elderly man with silver hair.
He guided her to a bizarre land where the earth had cracked open and the air was thick with the suffocating scent of stone dust. Awakening in the dead of night, she felt an unsettling sense of dread. The following morning, she documented the date of her dream, January 2nd, 1995, in her journal.
She sketched a scene of utter devastation and noted a chilling prediction. Something will rupture in 15 days. Precisely 15 days later on January 17th, 1995, the great Hansshin earthquake, also known as the Kobe earthquake, struck, claiming nearly 6,500 lives, destroying tens of thousands of homes, and leaving Japan a nation known for its order and resilience, shockingly vulnerable to the overwhelming power of nature.
In that pivotal moment, Tatsky's doubts vanished completely. She could no longer dismiss the extraordinary events unfolding before her as mere coincidence. With unwavering belief, she recognized that the future was communicating with her.
Drven by the conviction that these messages deserved to be shared beyond the confines of her private journal. Tatsuki meticulously gathered the dreams she had chronicled over the years. This effort culminated in the publication of her manga, The Future I Saw.
However, what left many in bewilderment was her sudden disappearance following the book's release in 1999. The narrative might have concluded, and there, had it not been for one more compelling dream, a dream so striking and urgent that it shattered her silence of over 20 years. On a July night in 2021, Tatsuki awoke abruptly, her heart racing and cold sweat beating on her forehead.
She envisioned herself alone in an expansive water-filled field under an ashcco-colored sky devoid of sunlight. The sea south of Japan began to churn ominously and from its depths two colossal dragons emerged, writhing as if they were tearing apart the earth's crust. An explosion echoed, followed by an eerie silence as the land was consumed.
She understood that this dream was a continuation of a vision from 1999, but this time it was clearer and more violent. The urgency was undeniable. She could no longer remain silent.
Thus, in 2023, Tatsuki re-released her book in a more comprehensive edition, featuring new dreams and crucially, a warning about an impending disaster that had yet to occur, but was drawing near. In that dream, she found herself at an extraordinary height, able to see the entire expanse of the sea south of Japan, laid out beneath her like a living three-dimensional map. Initially, the ocean appeared eerily tranquil.
However, moments later, vast air pockets began to surge from the ocean depths, bubbling up like gigantic cauldrons boiling beneath the Earth's surface. This was a clear indication of an underwater volcano on the brink of eruption. What remained etched in her mind, however, was the sight of two colossal dragons emerging.
They twisted beneath the water, gradually taking form from the edges of her vision. Silently, they coiled around the center of the rising bubbles as if protecting something concealed below. Suddenly, a massive column of water erupted from the sea, soaring into the sky and unleashing a tsunami that surpassed anything imaginable.
Tatsuki stood paralyzed, unable to react as waves three times the height of those from the 2011 disaster surged toward the shore, dragging with them clouds of dust, vehicles, buildings, and countless lives. She couldn't recall how she managed to breathe during that dream. All she knew was that after the wave, a new land began to emerge.
It rose slowly from the depths like an ancient entity awakening from a millennial long slumber. Wet soil churned upward, stones rising into jagged formations, raw and unspoiled. In that moment, Tatsuki realized with certainty that this new land would unite Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines into a single landmass.
In the midst of chaos, most people only consider endings. Yet, in Tatsuki's dream, the end heralded a new beginning, a fresh chapter, one that humanity neither anticipated nor prepared for, yet could not resist. What made the dream even more unsettling was this.
Tatsuki had seen the exact date it would occur. It was clearly inscribed, 500 a. m.
July 5th, 2025. She understood that many would doubt her, that some would mock her, dismissing it as mere superstition. But she also recognized this truth.
If even a fraction of the millions who encounter these words take them to heart and prepare, the potential loss could be mitigated if Tatsuki's dream were to materialize. While some dismiss her vision as mere anxiety, those who have followed her prediction since the 1970s recognize the significance of her insights. The recent reissue of her book, particularly its alarming forecast of a new continent emerging in 2025, raises a critical question.
Is this truly feasible? Surprisingly, the answer is affirmative. Although the likelihood is slim, it remains a theoretical possibility.
Japan is situated in the Pacific Ring of Fire, a geologically active area where tectonic plates converge, resulting in the highest concentration of underwater volcanoes globally. These plates are in constant motion, inching forward year after year, causing earthquakes and volcanic activity, and occasionally leading to the formation of new land. For instance, in 2013, an underwater volcano erupted just 500 meters from Nishinoima Island, creating a new island that was previously uncharted.
Within months, this island expanded and merged with the main landmass, effectively doubling Nishinoima's size. Similarly, in 2021, an unexpected volcanic eruption in the Curial Islands resulted in the emergence of another new island. These relatively smallcale events provide compelling evidence that Tatsuki is visions may not be as far-fetched as they seem.
Thus, we revisit her 2021 dream with renewed interest. In a vivid dream, Tatsuki witnessed two colossal dragons entwined beneath the ocean's surface. Setting aside the rich symbolism for a moment, researchers have noted an intriguing detail, the positioning of these dragons in Tatsuki's artwork aligns closely with the locations of two significant tectonic plates beneath the Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea plate and the Pacific plate.
It is at their intersection that the potential for underwater volcanic eruptions is greatest. Should conditions align perfectly, such an eruption could elevate the seafloor, creating entirely new landforms. One dream that leaves Tatsuki breathless upon waking, not from fear, but from a profound sense of loss, occurred in the late 1990s.
She documented it in her journal. Yet it took her years to admit she was never fully prepared to share it with the world. Her hesitation stem not from a fear of disbelief, but from the dread that others would feel helpless to respond.
In this dream, a thunderous sound erupted from deep within the earth, so intense that it made her spine tremble, even in slumber. It echoed like an ancient roar, as if the very crust of the planet was fracturing. She found herself awake within the dream, staring at a clock that read exactly 5:00 with no way to discern whether it was morning or afternoon.
Stepping outside her home, she was met with a scene of devastation. The roads lay in ruins. Tall buildings had their lower levels ripped apart as if an unseen force had wrenched entire blocks of concrete from the ground.
Cars were scattered haphazardly, canopies had collapsed, and power lines flickered like the last vestigages of a once vibrant city. Before her stood a grand bridge over a river, yet its far end was missing. The streets were eerily empty, devoid of life.
As Tatsuki gazed down, she suddenly realized she was no longer on solid ground. All around her was nothing but water stretching endlessly in both directions. In that moment of awakening, it felt as if everything had come to a halt.
When reflecting on the future she envisioned, Tatsuki added a note beneath this dream. Unsure if this scene was reminiscent of the 2011 earthquake, she found it far more terrifying. Despite it being March in Japan, she was still clad in a short-sleeved shirt, a detail that sent chills down many spines.
The 2011 tsunami struck during winter. Yet, Tatsuki's dream was steeped in the warmth of summer. In 2025, the events she dreamt of indeed transpired in the summer months.
