[Music] [Music] so we are here at downtown camp historic downtown Camas and it is 25° outside feels like 11 so you definitely got to have the right gear yeah we're actually uh today is um Tuesday for reference yesterday was MLK day uh but we're coming off of I think the 3 days consecutive below freezing temperatures which is very uncharacteristic for Greater Vancouver Metro Portland metro area yeah so we got snow Saturday morning then it was so cold the snow didn't melt Sunday or or Monday and then today's Tuesday we're under an ice storm morning which
is why we're going to be filming this relatively quickly so we can get inside before it rains and then everything turns to ice we have hot chocolate at home so we're going to take you on a driving tour a snowy driving tour from downtown Camas to downtown Vancouver and this is uh one of the things we like to do just to give people contacts a lot of you watching uh may not already be in the area uh but you have some interest in uh Greater Vancouver Portland metro so you uh C and Camas of course
so you found a lot of value in just kind of cont contextually you know how far is downtown cus from Vancouver and consequently Portland so uh we like doing these tours for some of the comments and and questions that we get yeah so we're going to show you around downtown cus a little bit and then we'll hop in the car we'll drive over to downtown Vancouver you can see what the roads are like I think that of all the times that it snowed in our almost six years of living here this time has been the
best in terms of city and county management the roads are the clearest they've been the quickest like from from the very start cuz we've been out showing homes I had clients who flew into town over the weekend and they were here to see homes and they left under contract on a gorgeous new construction home actually just like 2 miles from here we came we saw we contracted I was like where's he going conquered conquered so let's show you around snowy downtown C and then we'll be driving paper maker pride is an apparel and good store
that focuses on Camas in the Pacific Northwest so if you want to see or if you want to buy anything that's related to Camas like cus High School the mascot for the high school is paper makers because this is a historic mil toown then that would be a good place to go then we have caps and Taps which is a Tap House Bottle Shop they have some food in in there you've got ran jewers [Music] next and then you've got cozy cottage canas they've got yoga classes and stuff and then this is the theater this
is a historic theater you'll see it in the you would have seen it in the photo that I just [Music] shared and across the street you have Journey Church I think they just bought that building and so even in the snow people are still out and exploring this is c antiques there's lots of Galleries and boutiques and really cute places to eat some a warn wedding restaurants and then straight ahead you can see the [Music] mill [Music] anything to say to the people before we leave um no I'm just thinking about the last driving tour
we did um I guess about a month ago from uh downtown Richfield to downtown Vancouver checked that out but it was beautiful fall weather green colors and this just gives you a good idea of the the range of climates that we get here so you for someone like me coming from the Northeast uh I really miss this so if you like seasons and it's cold don't get it twisted like it's bitterly cold but I thought about it within a couple months we'll be walking in Spring again and I just love that that cycle to life
so and also love snow as you guys can see but yeah it's just a great time loveing life and this going be a nice quick short Scenic ride to [Music] Vancouver so we are heading to the Grand Street Pier you can see the path we're going to take along 14 and it will be 14 mil and just under 20 minutes to go from downtown cus to downtown [Applause] Vancouver you just know how to push all my buttons mooved out of town and I eras your number but still I find myself calling in the middle of

bar and across the street we have does and wild Fin and both of so those places are closed as well and grassa also closed I don't know where're act like this is a surprise everywhere down here is closed I guess except for the yard this will probably be the most clear you'll ever see the parking lot made it down to the Vancouver Waterfront we are closer to the river so it is windier as you can see from my w and uh we hope you guys enjoyed it just takes 20 minutes to go from cus to
downtown Vancouver one of the really exciting things about Camas to me right now is that the port of Camas washugal is going is working on developing a waterfront for that side of Southwest Washington and so there will soon be a very similar Waterfront in the Camas wasal area to the Vancouver one so you can literally have the best of both worlds if you want the this one I mean we we don't know what the other one's going to be like but they'll probably have tasting rooms and nice restaurants and stuff yeah just more options so
uh looking forward to that again we talked about this during the Ridgefield driving tour uh just about how the area is developing and I'm looking at all of these uh apartments and condos uh some very pricey ones by the way but uh again it's just a uh kind of a cool time to be in this area you see Portland behind us Portland Oregon I5 bridge and then you can see the I5 Bridge inter 5 so uh yeah great driving tour quick it so if you're interested in that cish cish cus area uh Camas to to
