go ahead and write out what we're going to talk about so we stay on track we're going to talk about everybody write this down explaining value okay if you're a great closer everybody knows that great closers are Master communicators okay so so write this down don't tell me you're a good closer if you can't communicate with anybody and get them to do what you want them to do can I ask you a question when we are explaining value to a new recruit everybody write this down we can talk about how we can get more recruits
I'm going to save that till the end how to get everybody write this down how to get a new recruit to believe that we are the way now I want to tell you some things that I'll suggest and I'm not telling you to be me but I'm going to tell you some things that I would do number one let's start out with first and foremost who is doing the speaking who's doing the talking is the person doing the talking somebody that they want to be write that down listen to me some people wonder like hey
boss I told this guy how much money he was going to make I told him how much opportunity was with us I told them how much good of a company hey you don't want to be you okay how about the person that's talking to the person isn't the person that they want to be or that they want to run with guys I want you to understand how simple this once you get this it is over your job is to paint pictures and tell stories listen to me when you're recruiting somebody you don't need to explain
that they're going to be in sales you guys are like what this is sales no it's not we're literally just helping people listen to me there's a lot of people that aren't salesy that are good communicators and they can get a lot of people to sign up with solar and they'll buy from them they're good people they got honor they got Integrity they don't lie they don't cheat they don't steal but they don't they don't like selling everybody do me a favor I'm not saying that we won't say hey and by the way this is
a sales organization so you will get paid sales compensation okay everybody understand this ready so I'm going to talk to uh let me talk to Michael hey Michael listen obviously there's a lot of sales companies in this world and a lot of people don't like to work in high sales environments this isn't a high sales environment this is a helping environment okay Michael watch this everybody listen to me Michael unmute come on Mike go ahead Mike you're my recruit Mike just walked into the room okay everybody understand this demand their attention right out the gate

life now Mike I want you to understand something very very easily I believe in heaven on Earth Mike write that down heaven on Earth let me explain what that means to me to me I get to help people I saved them a lot of money and I protect them from inflation that's what I do for a living it feels really good I sell a product that matters and that helps people in Mike I get paid very handsomely to do it now Mike I want to explain something to you I need you to write down the
barrier of Entry everybody write it down barrier of Entry Mike write it down barrier of Entry means this Mike when you go to become a doctor you go to school for seven years you pay back 250 000 in debt in student loans pretty crazy right now during those seven years Mike you don't make any money you're training and studying every day and taking tests and you're paying them money to learn no money exchanges hands Mike after seven years then you got to go to residency for three more years in which you get paid sixty thousand

yeah we're gonna go fly it around the mountain I'm like I'm out and this guy goes hey I'm one of the number one Blackhawk pilots in in the military number one here's my card I'm the best I'm like I'm rolling with you let's go he's driving I'm flying see once he told me who he was I mean I'm not letting some amateur ride me around in a helicopter here's what I'm going to tell you everyone in life right now is being led by an amateur so rule one day one we can't just let anybody do
the presentation of the recruiting and by the way can can I'm going to exchange the root the word recruit with explaining value we are going to explain value to people I don't need you to sell people on it hey by the way you know the best thing that you could do every time people show up ask one of them to leave I'm not mean I'm just saying hey hey Rico we're having a conversation about opportunity and money and I noticed you're on your phone is there an emergency Rico or did you get distracted see watch
Watch How I call them out he goes I just I I need to put it up hey Rico you can leave thank you bam all of a sudden everybody pays attention Hey listen to me they don't work for you yet do you want to bring on people that are freaking Duds no man listen to me I'm going to explain one simple thing everybody write this down I was reading this book last night and I want you to write this down With Honor write down with honor With Honor okay that means with it honor is the
most important thing to me people will stick with you we must speak with honor okay without honor nothing you do will have lasting value without honor nothing you do will have lasting value now I want to tell some of you this for those of you right now that are really really serious about like going to a whole new level I'm going to tell you man there's a personal code that I carry if I'm supposed to be somewhere I'm going to call if I'm supposed to be there I'll be there if if we made a deal

a brand new life guys it's the solar boom guys I want to tell all of you right now when you're talking to these new people that are coming in and you're explaining value rule number one in explaining value energy energy energy energy energy no one is doing anything worth doing in this world without energy you want to do without energy don't be a dead dud somewhere else you gotta wake up man and by the way listen men and women like this is the key like can I ask you a question like we're gonna do a
lot of selling but like they're gonna do a lot of the selling right so when we talk to them when they're around us should they always see us with energy should they always see us positive should they always see us like troubleshooting problems and not talking about issues like oh man that sucks rates went up again what are we going to do here shut your mouth dude you are poisoning your own children my kids only get to hear what I want them to hear your people only get to hear you must learn that you are
the leader and then there are the followers which are making more leaders the followers as they're becoming leaders can't hear the problems that the leaders are facing and a leader can never show on his face he has a problem ever your team must feel powerful when they're around you they must see you and go God man I've never caught them I've never caught him negative I've never seen Andy negative I've never seen Andy in a bad mood God man I mean he looks like everything's okay because it is okay gotta keep selling gotta keep selling
gotta keep helping people that's how we keep winning when the numbers go down everybody gets hurt how do the numbers go down one person opens their mouth says something negative you just literally dropped out uh some strict nine in your own company you did and by the way you got to explain this is the internal voice louder than the external voice write this down so me no matter what happens no matter what you say about me I ain't gonna change me I'm good no I'm not saying I can't learn but like I'm talking to me
about how I believe I'm gonna do it me my internal voice is louder than your external voice I don't even hear you bro Kobe Bryant says Michael Jordan they were shooting freaking on a home or on a way courts ten thousand fans 50 000 booing them and they're like [ __ ] yeah come on dog I don't even hear it I'm in the zone you guys got to get in the zone and you guys need to make sure that your people see you in the zone Hey listen to me and look dude your pride your

who are you here to see say hey hope you're having a great day we're glad you're here how can I help you on board everybody write this down on board your employees differently do you want them to onboard your customers like when they meet your customers do you want them to onboard them like man I'm in the Rocky family now man I'm doing business with these guys these guys are the best well like don't the Reps need to be like God man I work for the best company man my leaders really care like man everybody
is so loving like you understand the way that you treat people is the way they'll treat clients right right so so like like nobody cares you've got sales quotas and numbers to hit nobody cares until you care so for for the greats for the icons and the legends and the leaders that are watching this that aren't screwing off on their phone that aren't thinking about stupid crap that are paying attention if you can do this and I know you can it's over listen to me you will build an unrecruitable team they will never leave you
in in retention will be through the roof hey if you guys want to build a relationship with somebody and never have them leave you you know what I want to do I want to train the people talking to the first people on day one but also I need to tell everybody else as we go to bring the new these new people on and we go to onboard them is everybody else onboarding them also because they're not the ones having the conversation they're probably thinking well they're not the ones having the conversation so like I don't
have to be nice to these people they're just new recruits dude they're the future I'd walk into the room and go guys you're the future see my Ferrari who wants it who what do you want because you can have it all here you get to have Be Your Own Boss all you got to do is listen let me coach you let me teach you and I will show you the way by the way selling or helping whatever word you use I prefer help because a lot of people think selling in the beginning they're not they're
not wise enough to understand it yet it's just being a master communicator say listen can you communicate with people yes or no yes I can you're qualified can you learn to communicate better daily with people bam you're going to get rich can you understand everybody ready to write this down write this down every phone call and every door makes you money a guy goes out he says I knocked 25 doors and I got one appointment okay that appointment sells I'm making a point let's say it makes I'm just making a point twenty five hundred dollars
well 25 doors each door is worth a hundred dollars does that make sense because every door counts you had to get to 25 to get to the one that sold once you can train your team that every call counts every knot counts every hang-up counts every rude person counts and it all is counted for good and what I need you to learn is that you're not selling anything so there's really nothing to sell all you're doing is helping people do one simple thing actually two save money and become inflation proof that's it that's all you're
doing that is all you're doing you don't have anything to sell oh I'm not buying anything I don't think so I mean I don't have anything to sell I'm sure everybody in the world would like to know about a secondary energy option would you agree do you think every guys would you like to know about a secondary option of something else you're paying for like right now if your phone come if somebody came up to you and goes hey dude that same iPhone the same one you got there's a secondary payment option you don't have
to pay the whatever there's actually another one they probably didn't tell you about it if there was would you want to know about it I'd be like yeah I don't want to know about it because I need my phone nobody told me there was another way guys listen to me let's change we're going to sell you solar with are you aware that there's a secondary energy option and if you qualified it for it it could change everything see most people just don't have the information that's it guys this is simple what is our job as
reps our job is to get the information from the people who have it to the people who need it which is the homeowners that's it that's it and then and then and then we know they're going to want it guys do we know they're going to want it yes am I am I explaining this as a recruit guys you're not selling anything to anybody all you're doing is you're educating them could you educate someone you're educating them that there's a secondary energy option that's it now listen who is talking to these new people now listen
that person when they do their job who is being who are these new people when they come in being handed off to so if if Angel and and Christian and then I got Jesse and I got Lawrence is on my team and I bring on Christian's guy Christian does a great job Christian you bring it home baby you're selling the sizzle on the steak you're telling them who Meraki is you're explaining them how easy this is yeah man and they're like oh oh Christian let me join let me join but then angels well Christian it
just ruined it for everyone guys everybody I want you to do me a favor we're going to write down a new rule everybody write it down Meraki new rule hope HR is okay with this but we're going to be direct if Christian knows when he pulls somebody on Angel has a bad attitude but Angel's a good salesman Angel puts up a lot of money Angel's a good a rep but Angel's got a bad attitude Christian you're going to go to Angel and you're going to say hey man watch first everybody write this down here's a
new rule first go with love and do everything in love but tell the truth and be direct angel I love you man okay you know we couldn't do without you but I'm giving all my energy I'm doing all I got to get these new hires in here and I'm telling them that we're different and I'm telling them they got to have an A plus attitude and I'm telling them they got to be grateful and I'm telling them that like this is the opportunity they've never had Angel when you don't shake their hand when they walk
by you they don't feel the love of the company can you please help me angel when you're being negative and you're complaining out in the open which you shouldn't do it anywhere but especially out in the open it's ruining my people's brain you're freaking ruining it can you please for the love of God stop self-sabotaging our company you know what I learned I learned companies self-sabotage themselves you know why they get comfortable you know what I know I know that every one of you leaders have waited for this opportunity your whole life and if you
treated this like it was the beginning and day one was the day you got the opportunity I promise you you wouldn't do some of the stuff you did today remember when you were in the prove me stage remember that yeah you want to prove to everybody that you were the freaking the right hire you should have been promoted yeah you don't ever get out of that ever you keep this chip on your shoulder and you never get out of that stage the people that get out of that stage get replaced and then I like to
hear that but they need to be replaced because they're ungrateful guys can you be angry and ungrateful at the same time are ungrateful you can't be angry angry and grateful you know what I've learned everybody I want to explain one simple thing to all of you because you're all leaders so the way that you operate everybody everybody how about we do this and by the way I'll jump sometimes but I'm gonna I'm gonna let you guys talk to me in a second and you guys tell me hey Andy you know like like what about this
or what about that I'm going to tell you a secret I remember Tony Robbins amazing guy everybody knows who Tony Robbins is you know Tony Robbins is you're not alive okay but Tony Robbins talked about he stays in this incredible State at all times and I remember I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day and he had lunch with Tony Robbins about two two weeks ago I said dude what what's he like like is he really in that state he goes yeah he goes dude he doesn't get out of it he's so
grateful the guy's killing him busy be so grateful and he's a Savage he's excited he's fired up but he's so grateful I said man how does he do it like like I'm like I'm I'm on my way to like trying to get any and every ounce of negativity on my life and he goes it's simple every morning he wakes up he visualize death he said if today I was going to die like for real like would I be mad if I got one more day to spend on my team my wife my kids and my
customers would I really be mad like is this really that big of a deal no he's like I'm good are my kids alive do listen to me if you got a family What would life be like if one of them didn't wake up you need you need you need to put yourself in a state and say Hey thank you he goes I envisioned my my kid's death I envisioned my wife's desk I envisioned mine and it makes me believe that nothing is worth losing my state over nothing life is very precious we're all on a
limited time guys I'm going to tell you why everything matters from what I just told you on this call today number one you guys understand or at least I I pray that you guys understand that all it takes is a few good years to set yourself up financially for your entire life if you understand that I mean do you understand normal normal opportunities take 20 or 30 years and you still can't get free you guys understand what you guys are doing right now a lot of you a lot I didn't say all those of you
that are the Risk Takers that are going all in an individual can be beat but a team can't be beat we need to build the team we need to grow the team we need to make the team more powerful we don't need to become more powerful we need to make the team more powerful we need to start showing the team how important they are we need to give them recognition we need to teach them wisdom we need to talk to them like they matter because they do try doing life without a team you're screwed all
these new people even all these industries so I mean gosh Automotive everybody's ditching it real estate everybody's ditching it dude everybody's trying to go solar or if they had an opportunity to talk to somebody about solar here's what ABC solar says down the road you want to make money you want to make money you want to knock doors and make a lot of money no I don't want to do that sounds awful I don't want to knock yours you're not knocking doors you're not you're not cold calling anybody you're educating and helping people it's very
simple it's very easy we actually don't sell anything here we get paid everybody listen we get paid like salespeople but we only just help people so cool Heaven on Earth so I want everybody to understand this as I look into a lot of your eyes the eyes are the window to the soul I see when people eye roll I see when people don't care anymore and then I see when people are ready to grow and change and you know what I want you guys to do every day I want you to understand that your job
as a leader is to get your team to get better and change every day and the only way it can happen is if the leader changes and gets better every day because you have to be able to do what you're asking them to do am I right if Rico tells me I can do something but he ain't done it I ain't believing him I can't be what Rico's not see okay guys this is so easy you know what I love about all this too if anybody on this call and everybody in this call would listen
it's over it's over dude we just that we just bankrupted all the other Solar Company we just took them all out we just recruited the world it's over who's willing to change that's it this is the way to do it guys okay and you know what hey some of you right now that don't have a name do what I said you'll have the biggest name in the company and it ain't about you why you'll have the name is because you'll have the biggest team you have the biggest army you have the best retention you'll run
the best numbers your people will grow faster scale faster and you know what lastly you'll love who you are you have such a good life guys can I tell you this to be a leader is to not have any self-interest it's to make decisions that are better for other people than yourself as a leader it's not what's in it for me it's what's in it for my team that's the way this works that's why a lot of people don't work as a leader because once you become a leader guess what they do they they turn
