we just crossed $100,000 in sales on our brand new print on demand store last week we did $7,695 th000 and to quickly catch you up to speed if you're new to the challenge my name is Chris Ekman I've done over $25 million in e-commerce sales and this series is where I'm breaking down step by step and showing you how I'm growing a brand new print on demand store from 0o to 7 figures in Under 12 months so if you have any questions please be sure to let me know down in the comment section and leave
a like so I know to keep making content like this and without further Ado let's jump into the sales so in July we did $331,700 this is our very first month in business then in August August things were going pretty well so we slowly increased our ad spend and did $ 53,8 21 in sales and so far in September we've done $24,400 meaning that we are well on track to surpass August now let's break down the sales from just last week alone and go day by day and I can explain to you what happened so
on the 4th we did $2,000 in sales then we dipped down to $1,573 on the 5th and on the sixth we shot back up a little bit to $1,824 then on the 7th we did $2600 in sales and then we beat it the next day which is a Friday at $2,700 in sales we had our first 3K day on the 9th and then we did $3,200 in sales if you've been watching the last couple of weeks you know that we had our sales dipped down quite a bit and this week was key for us to
get things back on track so our sales have obviously shot up a lot this past week and a big question is what's the reason for that now one thing we can notice is that our conversion rate was up slightly about 15% higher looking even further into the conversion rate it wasn't our add to cart rate that stayed about the same but our reach checkout rate went up by 10% which then led to the sessions converted going up by another 15% if your eyes are glazing over that's fine we don't have to dive any deeper into
it right now just know that the conversion rate and the specific breakdowns is a good place to turn your attention to whenever sales are dipping so in this case I found that our site speed had decreased a little bit and by increasing that we were getting a higher percentage of people to reach checkout it's just one small thing the biggest thing overall is that I started testing out new ads in our ad account and I didn't do any new ad copy or offers or anything at all all that I did was Test new products I've
mentioned in previous videos but simply by swapping out new creatives and testing it in the ad account we are able to breathe new life into the store and the accounts overall and the ad creative that I'm using is relatively simple I just use a plain picture of the products that we're selling and the ad copy is normally something along the lines of a customer review with a discount and a link to buy and I promise to show you what our products look like so I want you to take a look at this store here this
is Yoga stay which if you've been following the channel you know that this is my old brand this was my baby that I ended up selling I sold my baby but it was a happy sale we parted on good terms with better parents now but anyway so if you look at the website here aside forget the yoga pants these are the types of products that we're selling on our website and I'll talk about the site layout in a second but these designs we just take t-shirt designs and place them on a mockup that fits the
niche so we have a niche store that's an interest that is something that I'm interested in and I know has a large audience behind it then second we find t-shirt designs from looking at Etsy Pinterest red bubble to get ideas and then we hire designers to create our own variations and our own Concepts from those and nowadays AI That's a whole another conversation but we come up with these t-shirt designs we get about 50 of them and we launch them on a site that this site here is a lot more complex than the site we
used to run when we first launched it it was literally just debut theme the basic Shopify theme with 50 t-shirts and we normally price them around 20 bucks a piece and this is what we're running now so in this store here that we're looking at it's exactly that it's 50 t-shirts on a fairly basic Shopify theme and the key is that we just know that it's a niche that people are interested in and there's a decent Siz audience for it and for our ad creative like I mentioned it would just be a picture of that
right there that would be our ad creative it's just this image maybe take out the 40% off but it would be something like that and then it would be a review written by a customer uh then a discount code and a URL to buy and then we drive the traffic to this page here and we do that so that people see a wide variety of products instead of just the one that they clicked on in the ad now it's time for our profit recap of the week so in total our Topline sales which this is
before discounts or refunds or anything was $118,500 126 and leading the expense charge is our tried and true number one printify this is how we fulfill all of our t-shirts this cost US $ 7,435 last week then we gave away $1,139 in discounts which gives us our gross profit margin is $947 we had $471 in transaction fees we spent a whopping $ 5,873 on Advertising which that's okay that's around a three total rowes which is not terrible then our overhead expenses were $584 now our overhead jump up slightly uh from about $42 to $83 per
day this because we had to increase our clavio plan and a couple of other softwares but as long as our total overhead remains around under 2 to 3% of our total sales then we're in a pretty good spot then adding in our 2% cash back and 5% rebate from prini that was another $536 all in all brings us to a whopping $3,168 in profit for last week which the good news is that is up about 1,000 bucks from the week before where we only did about $2,000 in profit if you multiply that by four to
get your monthly rate it's about $112,000 in profit which is not too bad but our goal is much higher than that and as long as we continue to grow at about 15 to 20% month over month which is pretty aggressive but I think we can do it then we'll be in a really good spot about 8 to 9 months from here and I plan to document the process every step of the way all the ups and downs and Lessons Learned I hope you guys find this useful and there's your recap for the week let me
know in the comments section down below what would be useful for you guys what do you want me to cover in future episodes anything from the ads to product research to hiring a team site optimization literally anything I'm an open book I appreciate you guys watching and I'm here for you guys you got this and I'll see you in the next video bye
