hello and welcome to the shorts mini course in this mini course I will be breaking down how I started a successful shorts channel in under 60 days I'm going to be giving you the exact stepbystep plan that I had to learn the hard way I'm going to be breaking down everything from picking a niche to scriptwriting to editing so without further Ado I present to you the shorts mini course today's agenda first I will introduce you to short form content and all the opportunities that it brings second I will be breaking down Niche and why
it's very important to find one before you start third we will be going over branding and the importance of it fourth I will be breaking down the most popular video formats and help you decide which one is for you fifth I will be going over how to properly warm up a brand new account so that it gets pushed into the algorithm six will be script writing and the importance of it seventh will be editing eighth will be titles and tags for shorts ninth will be your upload schedule and 10th will be the mindset you need
to succeed on YouTube and honestly this one is the most important so make sure you stay till the end introduction short form content is a booming industry that is only going to get bigger and bigger when shorts first launched in 2021 it was pulling in 30 billion daily views that number has now jumped to 70 billion in only 3 years and it will continue to rise every major platform has incorporated some type of short form content Facebook and Instagram has reals Tik Tok has Tik toks and YouTube has shorts everyone is hopping on the wave
of short form content and for good reason short form content is the future and it is crucial to learn how to properly create short form videos because this is just the beginning attention spans are falling and less people are watching long form videos if you can create captivating and engaging shorts that can keep people on the platform you will earn a lot of money now let's break down what you need to do in order to earn around $10,000 a month from shorts if you can get 80k views an hour on shorts with an average RPM
that's $16 an hour $400 a day and $112,000 a month 80k views is only 0.0000 00 1% of 70 billion and it's a lot easier than you think all it takes is one viral video then you're entire channel will explode if you don't start creating short form content now you will be missing out on a huge opportunity you already missed out once you know who didn't miss out me I took action and started posting and now I have 500,000 subscribers and I've made $25,000 in Revenue in about a year and it only takes me an
hour a day to work on shorts don't miss out we will now move on to the foundation of our Channel which is our Niche Niche what is Niche a niche is a specific topic or category that your content focuses on in a platform as vast as YouTube trying to appeal to everyone can result in your content being lost in the noise a well-defined niche helps you target a specific audience making your videos more relevant and discoverable why do we need a niche YouTube's algorithm the system that suggests videos works best when it knows what your
channel is about by focusing on a niche YouTube knows exactly who to show your videos to making it easier for your channel to grow you also attract viewers who are really interested in what you're talking about these viewers are more likely to subscribe keep watching your videos and become loyal fans how to find a niche look at what people are searching for on YouTube are there a lot of viewers interested in your topic tools like Google friends can help you see what topics are popular think about topics you love and enjoy talking about if you're
passionate about it you'll make better videos and won't get tired of creating content the best Niche is topics you are interested in reason one because you have lots of knowledge in that topic more than the average person which will make it easier for you to create better scripts and content that can appeal to everyone in the niche this can be anything soccer basketball golf anime fashion brands music artists literally anything now some niches might perform better than others for example a soccer Niche will have lots of views to go around but it will also have
lots of competition the best thing to look out for when finding a niche is high demand and low competition if you can find one of these niches you can easily profit in a short amount of time there are multiple ways to find niches you can scroll on incognito mode and look for a high performing video you can also use vid IQ keywords to find topics that are popular if you want to full Niche breakdown and how to find them check out the video linked below only after you have finished watching this course now that I've
broken down Niche we will now move on to branding branding importance of branding branding is how you make your YouTube channel unique and memorable it includes your channel name logo colors and the overall look and feel of your videos strong branding helps you stand out making it easier for people to recognize and remember your Channel Unique name to be honest you can name your channel anything and it'll work just don't name yourself some dumb like viral Trends or funny clips daily name it something unique and personal to you and your Niche profile picture and banner
keep your banner extremely basic for example Mr Beast the biggest Channel on YouTube His Banner is literally subscribed for a cookie your profile picture and Logo should be taken more into consideration but again it should be catered to your personality you shouldn't Focus too much on your branding just keep it simple and move on most people get stuck on this part of the process and don't understand that a simple looking channel can get millions of views all that matters is that your content is good let's move on now format every popular YouTube shorts video falls
into one of these formats storytelling commentary documentaries and journalist storytelling videos are type of content where the Creator narrates a compelling or engaging story these can be Reddit stories stories about history or just random stories you find interesting commentary videos are probably the easiest ones to do but also has a lot of competition commentary videos is a type of content where the Creator provides context insights and reactions to what is happening in the video documentary style videos is a video that explores a topic in depth using a factual informative and often investigative approach these can
be videos about murder documentaries or the history behind a famous person place or thing these are a little harder to make but will definitely pay off the most journalistic Style videos focus on reporting current events Trends or news honestly these are insanely easy to make these are the videos you see about streamers in drama or Internet personalities getting into controversy like the Mr Beast lunch Le situation before you start a channel make sure you have your Niche and the style of content you want to make I would honestly recommend trying out all of them just
to see which ones you are better at and which ones perform the best on your channel okay so now that you've got your Niche your banner and profile picture and format style of content let's start with warming up your channel warming up your account so before you start posting on YouTube with a brand new account it is crucial that you warm it up first YouTube has been super strict with brand new channels due to lots of scams and inappropriate content popping up so warming it up prevents YouTube from thinking your channel is just another bot
account why warming up matters when YouTube's algorithm spots a brand new Channel with no interaction history it can mistake it for a bot or spam account this can limit your Channel's early exposure so before you post give your channel an activity history to establish it as an Engaged and genuine presence on the platform these are the steps to warming up your account Days 1 and two watch 8 hours of content let videos play in the background and interact by liking commenting and subscribing to relevant videos don't post yet focus on building engagement day three post
your first video Kickstart your Channel's visibility don't focus on views right away because your first video will almost always get no views just post the video and forget about it day four engage again continue watching and interacting with relevant content but don't post day five post your second video keep growing Your Presence at this point you should at least be getting around 10 to 1,000 views if nothing happens yet just keep interacting with content and commenting on videos day six engage only watch and interact without posting day seven post your third video this completes your
first week warm-up after 1 week evaluate your results after this one week warm-up per period here's what you should check if 1/3 of your videos got 100 to 10,000 views keep posting every 2 days if 23ds of your videos reached 1,000 to a 10,000 views start posting daily if most of your videos have zero views repeat the process again for another week if you're getting the same results consider starting a new channel but keep an eye on your old one because it may gain traction over time also another thing to mention you can't be posting
lowquality and expect it to get views a lot of people message me asking me why they aren't getting pushed and every time I check their videos it's always horrible content you can't expect to gain millions of views with a shitty edited video if you can create good content then you will be pushed out if you create content then you won't simple as that now that you've done the steps to warm up your account let's move on to script writing arguably the most important aspect when creating [Music] videos script wrri wrting so there are three things
to an amazing short script your hook your storytelling and your ctas your hook is responsible for your vvsa vvsa on YouTube is viewed versus swiped away it's basically an analytic on YouTube that tells you how many people chose to stop and watch your video if your vvsa is lower than 75% then you need to create more engaging hooks your storytelling is responsible for the audience retention your audience retention is another analytic that YouTube shows you to tell you how many seconds people stayed to watch your video if your attention is lower than 85% then you
need to create a better story CTA is caught to action examples are like this video for a cookie or comment your favorite food subscribe if you enjoyed this this can drastically boost your engagement causing your videos to get more likes more subscribers and be pushed out to the algorithm let's start with hook the first 5 seconds are the most important you need to create a captivating and engaging hook to make the viewers stop and watch start with a bold question or statement use a strong visual show a tease of what's coming include high energy movement
keep the energy up with music and sound effects so this video has 80 million views and it's all because of the hook let's take a look at it this kid saved this dog's life this kid Sav this dog's life this this kid saved this dog's life just from watching the first 5 Seconds of that video you can tell that this is a video that performed really well it started off with a bold statement this kid just saved this dog's life it used a strong visual it's basically the kid getting dragged up with the dog and
it showed a tease of what's coming it also included high energy movement and sound effects to match this video passed the hook checklist and went insanely viral making me $9,000 all because my hook was amazing if you can Implement all these things into the first 3 or 5 Seconds of your video it's almost impossible not to go viral let's move on to the story after you captured the viewers attention and made them stop and watch you now need to craft an interesting story to keep them watching a good story will build tension with a problem
or conflict it will be descriptive and add surprises and key details it will also set the scene very quickly I'm going to show you another video I made that did insanely good this dog and lizard were having a Mexican standoff when this lizard decided to defy the laws of physics and run on water to escape from the dog oh gosh it's coming right over here oh so cool this video builds tension with the problem or conflict the dog and lizard were having a Mexican standoff that's the conflict be descriptive the lizard decided to defy the
laws of gravity add surprises and key details then this lizard walked on water when when you combine all these elements together it creates an amazing story your script is the most important thing to perfect now let's talk ctas YouTube shorts are very fast-paced so you need to make every second count a good CTA guides viewers to take action whether that's liking commenting or following to make a good CTA you need to be clear and direct you need to use action words you need to make it sound natural and you need to time it perfectly I'm
going to show you an example of the power of CTA I'm going to show you an ending of a video I made where there's a small CTA at the end then I'm going to show you how many subscribers that simple CTA gave me he then attempts to drive off and scrapes another car on the way out once he realizes he's he stops the car and attempts a 40- yard dash he then gets tackled and is held down until police arrive subscribe that one little line gained me 41,000 subscribers all because I said one simple subscribe
at the end if you don't direct your viewers to complete an action at the end of the video they will not subscribe not like or comment but if you tell them to they will listen do not sleep on ctas if you combine everything I just told you into the perfect script then you will get a viral video in no time now let's move on to [Music] editing editing your intro your middle and your end intro start with a bang your first 5 seconds are crucial using engaging shot bold text and quick sound effects to hook
the viewers immediately like I said you can make an amazing edited video with an amazing story but if your viewers aren't captured by the first one to 5 seconds it's all for nothing you need to hook them in as fast as possible example begin with a strong visual then a strong hook and sound effects and background music to match the video I just showed you about the kid saving the dog that is the perfect intro it captured their attention had them emotionally invested and made them curious to see how it would end your middle the
story keep it fastpaced use Quick Cuts to constantly stimulate the viewer avoid lingering too long on any one scene switch up the visuals every few seconds to keep their attention add cuts to your voice over to keep the pace fast and avoid silence and empty space there has to be something happening every second of your video attention spans are dropping like flies you need to be doing everything in your power to keep their attention there must be no downtime or empty space because the viewer will just swipe away at even one second of emptiness ctas
tell viewers exactly what to do and avoid vague phrases instead of asking like a beta mil can you please subscribe to my channel you have to give them a command to make them subscribe say subscribe right now or like the video right now when editing ctas use a thumbs up emoji to represent likes and use use a sound effect to match it or use the Subscribe button image when you say subscribe and add a sound effect as well every little detail matters in shorts so be very creative be trying and testing different things and don't
stop learning if you want a full breakdown on how to properly edit videos and everything I'm talking about in this course click the link below and join the workshop you get a full 2hour course where I break everything down into the little details and you get a Discord Community full of people who want to succeed in shorts I'll also review your channel and tell you exactly how you can improve it's only $5 a month and the price will increase soon so hurry up and join now that you know exactly how to edit your videos let's
now move on to titles and tags titles and tags titles and tags do not matter when creating shorts I use two hashtags # shorts and # viral that's it the only thing that matters is how good your video are and how good the retention the vvsa and engagement is only use certain titles if you are creating videos about people or interesting topics like the documentary format journalism format or storytelling format when most people go on shorts 99% of them do not look at the titles they're just scrolling on shorts and watch whatever pops up a
quick way to find good titles is to find a video on that similar topic copy the title paste the title into chat GPT and tell it to rewrite it and give you 10 copies of that title also thumbnails are now changeable through the mobile YouTube Studios app all you got to do is make it the most interesting part of the video but most of the time I never really change the thumbnails I kind of just leave it like that and I've seen pretty good success so far that's enough for this one let's move on to
upload schedule upload schedule after you've properly warmed up your account and your videos are consistently getting pushed into the algorithm upload at least 6 days a week always take one day off so you can review and analyze your channel to see which type of content perform the best also so you don't burn yourself out more is not better don't ever think you can upload twice or three times a day to speed up the process because if your videos are and not good you're going to get the same results focus more on creating a good video
rather than pushing multiple videos out trust me quality will take you way farther than quantity upload days a week take one day off for analyzing and resting constantly improve your videos and don't get discouraged by low views most people post videos and give up after one week because they can't hit 10K views what you need to understand is that every successful YouTuber that you've ever watched known or seen has went through a period where they've been uploading daily and got absolutely no views Mr Beast for example he said in an interview that he uploaded 100
videos and only got 18 subscribers now he's the biggest Channel on YouTube YouTube isn't some short-term ticket to success it takes a lot of work dedication and patience if you aren't willing to go through the entire process then just stop watching the video but once you've been through the process and pains of YouTube you can start a new channel and get thousands of views on your first video because YouTube is a skill you learn this channel for example I hit 1,000 subscribers within seven videos and each one of of my videos have thousands of views
and I was only able to do that because I learned exactly how YouTube works and what the viewers want and this brings us to our most important lesson of this video and that's the mindset needed to be successful mindset and the timeline of success so I'm going to break down how exactly your journey is going to look like if you have absolutely no experience with YouTube or editing videos If you have a little experience in editing and making videos you will achieve success a little faster than those who have none at all but me for
example when I started my first shorts Channel I had almost no experience creating or editing shorts I first started uploading clips of other YouTubers and just simply adding captions my first upload was on November 22nd 2022 after that I told myself I was going to upload every day until I'm making money from it I managed to upload around 100 videos from November up to March I got a total of 10 million total Channel views and 5K subscribers and I managed to hit the monetization Milestone but my dreams were soon crushed when I realized that you
cannot monetize those types of Clips but I didn't give up I had built the skills and mindset of editing and uploading daily so I tried again a little later around April I started a brand new channel from scratch and after about eight videos one of my videos went viral it was up loaded May 1st and it got around 100K views after that I kept being consistent and kept improving and my channel just kept blowing up around mid 2023 my channel was officially monetized on July 1st and when I saw my first dollar made on YouTube
I literally quit my job on the spot my first month being monetized I made around $2,349 after that I managed to make around 1,600 every month consistently now to be completely trans parent with you I haven't made $1,000 in like 4 months now the reason for that is because I stopped uploading stopped improving and wanted to focus more on my long form Channel I was also too focused on building a community and building courses to help others succeed like I did but I mean even though I'm barely uploading I'm still making an extra $350 a
month from past videos so I'm basically getting paid for videos that I made a year ago which is pretty sick now present day I've managed to gain 500k subscribers $25,000 in revenue and to be honest it isn't even about the money or subscribers through shorts I was able to learn and master the skills to create successful long form videos which allowed me to monetize and make money in so many different ways shorts is the precursor to YouTube it helps you build skills the mindset and knowledge you need about the platform to create videos that do
good once you've mastered the skills you can create a channel from scratch and be successful with one video Don't Stop grinding don't stop working don't get discouraged and keep on learning this is very much possible for everyone the only thing is is most people give up after a month I uploaded 100 videos with almost no success and even after once I hit the monetization and realized I wasn't able to get monetized I didn't give up I knew that everything that I have built up I can put it into another Channel and grow it even even
faster and that's exactly what I did don't stop grinding keep pushing I promise you if you put in the time and you put in the effort you will become successful on YouTube This is the end of the mini course thank you guys for watching click the link below to join my workshop in private Discord and if you are interested in one-on-one coaching click the link below and fill out the waiver I'm only accepting certain people who I think we'll have a lot of success on YouTube and only a small amount of people so hurry up
